Hey friends, I am BACK hosting the Clinch Podcast with a fresh perspective and a commitment to bringing you the most passionate discussions in the fight world. Between juggling full-time work, school, and two new furry friends, I've found more determination than ever to grow this show. We're diving headfirst into the excitement of UFC 309, exploring the heavyweight showdown between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic. With mixed feelings about Jones' past actions but undeniable intrigue about his heavyweight journey, I dissect what this fight means for the sport and his legacy.Beyond the hype of UFC 309, I muse over a potential clash between Jon Jones and Alex Pereira—an unlikely yet fascinating matchup that raises questions about Jones' future in the UFC. Excitement brews as we spotlight key bouts like Erik Anders vs. Chris Weidman and Bo Nickal vs. Paul Craig. The episode wraps up with my respect to the Combat Night community, reminiscing about my cherished training days at Smiley Academy and Fusion XL. With admiration for fighters like Ricky Chieppa and Destiny Perez, and a nod to the dedication of leaders like Mitchell, this episode promises to be exciting and filled with my love for the sport!

The Quiggin Out MMA Podcast is here with episode 33 with TJ De Santis! In this episode, TJ and I go down the proverbial rabbit hole when it comes to broadcasting and MMA. For those who are unaware, TJ has been a broadcaster in the MMA world since the early 2000's and is currently holding up duties as a play-by-play commentator for Invicta Fighting Championship, Ikon Fighting Federation, EBI, and Combat Jiu-Jitsu worlds as well as producing multiple podcasts, including Bruce Buffer's "It's Time w/ Bruce Buffer". He talks us through how he got his first radio internship at 15 and how that changed his life for the better. The episode goes from TJ talking about his life growing up to his knowledge and experience in the radio and broadcasting world. He even gave us some amazing insight into why we use the terms we do today, the birth of the term "formatical" and how the term podcast didn't even exist when he entered this world. TJ and I shared some memories of our childhood and learned that we both share a trait that some may view as a bad thing but I say it's a positive thing. In the end, I'm super happy that we got to sit and chat for the first time. TJ is a wealth of knowledge and truly understands what it is to provide sound advice (I hope someone thinks that is as funny as I did) as to his life and roles within the MMA and broadcasting community. TJ even gives some insight into a new format he is doing and it's amazing that no one had thought of this before. Don't forget to head over to EpicJitsTees.com and pick up a Quiggin' Out MMA Podcast shirt or any of the amazing designs available. Special shout out to La Barba Cubano for supplying some amazing beard oil, Fat Boy Jiu Jitsu for the incredible Combat Night shirt (which made an appearance in the show tonight) and Bertsos Bakeshop for making some delicious treats!
The Quiggin Out MMA Podcast is here with episode 32 with James Lynch! In this episode, we really dive deep into the man that is James Lynch. Lynch talks about how he got into the MMA journalism world, why he does what he does, and how important a work life balance is. Lynch goes on to give some of the best tips in regards to doing your own interviews, asking good questions, building rapport with fighters, and what you should do if a fighter is difficult to get ahold of or cancels. It's truly amazing stuff. Make sure to watch the whole episode to see who Lynch's favorite street fighter character was and what we both thought of the 1994 instant classic Street Fighter. Don't forget to head over to EpicJitsTees.com and pick up a Quiggin' Out MMA Podcast shirt or any of the amazing designs available. Special shout out to La Barba Cubano for supplying some amazing beard oil, Fat Boy Jiu Jitsu for the incredible Combat Night shirt, and Bertsos Bakeshop for making some delicious treats!
The Quiggin Out MMA Podcast is here with episode 31 and features one half of the BKFC main event and UFC Vet Leonard Garcia and BKFC fighter Tom Shoaff. In this episode, Garcia and Shoaff breakdown their first meeting, training for a similar opponent in Joe Elmore, getting your life right, and why Garcia decided to try bare-knuckle. If you didn't know. Garcia has been fighting since 1999 and has fought in the UFC, WEC, LFA, and many more. His fight with Chan Sung Jung is arguably one of the best fights you will have ever seen. Garcia is a legend in his own right and a pioneer in the MMA world. To see his interactions with Shoaff on the show truly prove there are still good guys in this sport. The pair discusses what it's like to train with each other and having to put aside the fact that they both compete within the same weight class and how they wasn't going to stop them from being friends. Shoaff also talks about his decision to move down in weight as he keeps fighting guys that are too big.
The Quiggin Out MMA Podcast is here with episode 30 and features a one of kind man , the "MMA Prediction Rapper", Tovaun Anthony! In this episode, Anthony and I discuss his martial arts background, his love for the sport, and how a one-off crazy idea took off and is now making waves inside the MMA community, including having MMA media, like James Lynch, involved in his UFC 259 fight predictions video. For those who don't know, Anthony breaks down fight cards as a full fledged rap. When listening to it, you can see the amount of dedication and time he puts into the research to make his predictions factual, accurate, and straight up amazing to listen to in this format. Keep an eye on the last 5 minutes where I ask Anthony to bust out a freestyle and an idea was born! The Quiggin Out MMA Podcast is here with episode 29 and features returning guest, firefighter and mustache aficionado, Eddie Wineland! Wineland makes his first solo appearance on the show after the Mustache Mafia took over in episode 19. Strap in folks because this one will hit home with so many people. In this episode, Wineland and I discussed his tenured career not only as a fighter, but as a firefighter, father, and husband too. Wineland is a character and shows that he is not only in great spirits after a loss, but that his priorities are in order when it comes to his life. There's even a surprise guest and some talk about Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk. Things got intense when Wineland decided to throw me for a loop about halfway through the episode when I asked him what he wanted to talk about and his answer... surprised me and I promise will surprise everyone who tunes in. The Quiggin Out MMA Podcast is here with episode 28 and features first time guest and fellow MMA journalist, Adam Martin! Martin immediately went full journalist and talked to me about my journey as a journalist, how being a full-time journalist is one of the hardest jobs in all of MMA besides fighting, and our first interviews. We further discussed working for multiple sites, the recently announced Bellator Grand Prix, Bellator's move to Showtime and what we love about the jobs we do. It really was great to sit down with someone who has been covering the sport for as long as I have. We made to give credit to those who got us to where we are today and what were are moving towards career-wise. The Quiggin Out MMA Podcast is here with episode 27 amd features former 2x Bellator featherweight champion Daniel Straus. Straus joins the show for the first time but is no stranger to myself. Straus and I go down memory lane to talk about the insane number of fights he had in his first year as an MMA fighter, the only time he had a bad weight cut and what he has been up to since fans last saw him. Straus is always a pleasure to talk to because he's someone who just wants to fight. Him and I discuss his need for fame, his plan for the future, and lingering medical issues that are keeping him outside of getting to do what he loves so much. The Quiggin Out MMA Podcast is joined by recent Bellator Featherweight Grand Prix Semi-Finalist, Emmanuel Sanchez. In this episode, Sanchez is on what he refers to as his "Revenge Tour 2020". What’s the one thing you can do that’s going to help you lose weight? Well, that doesn’t exist. Losing weight doesn’t work that way. But if you want to learn some strategies that you can implement and to make better choices, you’ve come to the right podcast. You can find all the info and links about this episode at https://holisticwellness.ca/episode76 Topics Discussed in this Episode: How you might be approaching weight loss in the wrong way Getting your mindset right when it comes to weight loss and going beyond the food Strategies to overcome night-time snacking The delayed gratification technique 3 key things to losing weight: Key Takeaways: There is no one-size-fits-all approach to losing weight. It’s a combination of multiple things that makes weight loss successful. Night-time snacking is one of the reasons why people gain weight. Can diet supplements be helpful? Absolutely! But that doesn’t mean they’re a magic fix. 3 things that are key to losing weight: You need a plan to follow. You need accountability. You need a support network. Action Steps: Do away with diet pills. They won’t get you anywhere. Anticipate the feelings that lead you to night-time snacking and come up with an activity that’ll interrupt that pattern. Implement the delayed gratification technique. Instead of getting up and grabbing the food that you’re craving for right away, take out your phone and set the timer for five minutes, and sit with that uncomfortable feeling. Create a clear and compelling vision for your future health. Declutter your space. You want to be in a space where you feel calm and confident. Find outlets that will help you deal with stress. Samantha said: “When you can better yourself and show up more powerfully in your life, you will make better choices that are in alignment with the life that you truly want.” “You have to show up for yourself. You have to take action. You have to make yourself a priority. You have to invest in yourself. Sometimes that can be really scary but nothing changes if nothing changes.” Thanks for listening!
