WHAT IFWhat if the very humility you were raised to wear like a badge of honor is the exact thing quietly capping your career? What if showing up, speaking up, and being seen isn't bragging. That's the whole game. Siri Swahari spent two decades unlearning that lesson, and now she's built an entire movement to make sure other women don't have to figure it out alone.SUMMARY & GUEST INTROSiri Swahari moved to the US at 23 with no network, no roadmap, and no one in her corner. She built her entire career from scratch, volunteer work at a Colorado Springs library to VP at one of the world's largest IT and business consulting firms. Along the way, she founded Women Executive Circle, a community of senior women leaders now active in 12 states and growing. I needed to have this conversation. Her message is one every woman in corporate America needs to hear right now: you were not taught to show up, speak up, and be seen. That ends today.INSIDE THE EPISODEThe Humility Trap. Siri grew up in India being told that announcing her achievements, even being class topper, was bragging. She breaks down the deep unlearning it took to realize that staying invisible when you're already delivering value isn't humility. It's counterproductive.Imposter Syndrome Is a Growth Signal. Siri reframes the thing most women dread: if you're feeling imposter syndrome, you're doing something new, something uncomfortable, something that means you're growing. She shares how a career rotation into an entirely unfamiliar business function transformed how she leads. She coaches others through it now.You Can't Be an NPC in Your Own Career. Siri borrows her son's gaming acronym. NPC, non-playing character. It's what happens when talented women stay silent and expect growth anyway. Advocacy, visibility, and speaking up aren't optional extras. They're the game itself. What Bad Leaders Teach You. Siri and Erica both share how their worst leadership experiences became their most formative ones: the bosses who didn't credit their work, the environments that made people feel disposable, and how those moments became the North Star for the leaders they chose to become. The Origin Story of Women Executive Circle. What started as a small lunch group in Raleigh, born out of a Christmas party that required 100 attendees to happen, became a 12-state community of senior women leaders. Siri tells the full story, including the parking lot moment that made her text her WhatsApp group that Thursday night and say: the world needs this. Let's go.The WEC Framework: Wins, Evolving, Challenges. Siri walks through the rose/bud/thorn icebreaker she adapted into WEC's signature framework. Going around a table and asking 'what's actually going on in your life' unlocks something no traditional networking event ever could. It's the reason a leader who hadn't gotten out of bed in three days showed up to happy hour. She left with a plan.Representation Is the Work. After a women-in-AI event, Brown women lined up to ask Siri how she was so comfortable speaking in public. Not the VP title, not the promotions. That moment is what drives her. Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, IndyCar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!Charles LeClerc is back on top after a win at Silverstone as both Mercedes run into issues that hinder their chances at the win. George Russell has a bit of luck at the end of the race to crawl back to 2nd place with Lewis Hamilton rounding out the podium. Mechanical failures for Max and Kimi leave them with zero points after what was looking to be a good finish for both of them with their respective car performances.Pato O'Ward is also back on top after a long and hot caution-free race at Mid-Ohio. One mistake cost Christian Lungaard the win which let Pato through but otherwise it was a great performance by both him and Pato as they give McLaren their first 1-2 finish in IndyCar. McLaren top the weekend off with Siegel getting a top 10 finish which puts all three cars in the top 10! The big news, which was confirmed on Monday and also involves McLaren, is that their driver lineup for next year will be O'Ward, Dixon, and Rosenqvist. This means that Lungaard is out of a ride for now after being the leading McLaren driver for this 2026 season. Only time will tell if this shake up is the right call.Briscoe wins at Chicagoland in Cup.Coming up this weekend: NASCAR is at Atlanta, WEC is in Brazil, IMSA is at Mosport, and MotoGP is in Germany.
Ricky describes the event's scale, the track's dusty first laps, narrow roads, tricky slow corners, night-time loneliness, and the WEC vs IMSA differences in culture, rules, and precision. He explains Le Mans' low-energy surface and long tire life, plus how top-level simulators and Michelin tire models aid preparation. Ricky also reviews Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac's recent Le Mans effort, including qualifying pace, missing Hyperpole, and an engine failure, and reflects on racing with his brother Jordan and teammate Filipe Albuquerque. He discusses Jackie Chan's LMP2 program, LMP2's competitiveness, Garage 56's Camaro impact, Cadillac's 2026 F1 plans, and goals to improve after a difficult season. ===== (Oo---x---oO) ===== 00:00 Ricky's early Le Mans Memories 03:09 First Racing Laps 2013 04:55 IMSA vs WEC Culture 06:25 Night Stints, Track Surprises and Passing 10:50 Training and Simulator Prep 14:53 2025 Cadillac Le Mans Postmortem 16:50 Family Racing Together 17:59 Jackie Chan LMP2 Story & Why LMP2 Matters 22:04 Garage 56 24:01 Filipe Albuquerque's Hybrid Knowhow 27:09 Are the Cars Too Reliable? 28:48 Audience Q&A 33:29 Thoughts on Cadillac F1 in 2026 34:40 Le Mans 2026 Plans 38:03 Why Le Mans Matters Most and Final Thanks! ==================== The Motoring Podcast Network : Years of racing, wrenching and Motorsports experience brings together a top notch collection of knowledge, stories and information. #everyonehasastory #gtmbreakfix - motoringpodcast.net More Information: Visit Our Website Become a VIP at: Patreon Online Magazine: Gran Touring Follow us on Social: Instagram To learn more about or to become a member of the ACO USA, look no further than www.lemans.org, Click on English in the upper right corner and then click on the ACO members tab for Club Offers. We welcome Peter Rickman, president of the Milwaukee Service and Hospitality Union (MASH) to discuss the union's big organizing victory this week at Landmark Theater in Milwaukee, the rapid growth of the union, and the union's commitment to the Living Wage Coalition pushing for a $20 minimum wage bill. We take a dive into new national polling by the Kaiser Family Foundation showing health care cost is a dominant election issue in 2026, even for Republicans and treasured independent and swing voters. Seventy-two percent of Democrats, 63% of independents and 47% of Republicans said the cost of healthcare will have a major impact on which party's candidate they will support. Robert updates us on the continued fight for a BadgerCare Public Option and the grassroots leaders and legislative champions making it happen. We also highlight the dysfunction of our health care system, as evidenced by news this week that Ascension Wisconsin now has tele-ICUs at some hospitals… that's right, no ICU doctors on-site! We close with the scandalous news that more massive “hyperscale” data centers are coming to Wisconsin, according to the head of WEC (the parent company of WE Energies and WPS), who arrogantly bragged at a recent shareholders meeting about the boon it will be to their windfall profits. This is only happening because Wisconsin state political leaders green lighted data center development with huge tax giveaways ($2 billion and counting) while failing to pass any guardrails to protect the climate, rate payers, and public health.
