¿No sabes cuanto cuesta? #somostontísimos #perounafamilia INSTAGRAM DE TITO DESIGN: https://www.instagram.com/tito_design/ FACEBOOK TITO: https://www.facebook.com/people/Tito-design/100063620196219/
Welcome to the 75th episode of the Decode Quantum podcast. In our series of three episodes recorded in Lindau where dozens of physics Nobel laureates were gathered with young scientists, we had a chance to meet David Wineland. This podcast was recorded on July 1st, 2024, in Lindau, Germany during the 73rd Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting.David Wineland is an American physicist currently at the University of Oregon who is specialized in atomic physics, and in particular, uses laser-cooled trapped ions to implement the elements of quantum-computing. He became a laureate of the Nobel prize in physics in 2012 along with Serge Haroche of Ecole Normale Supérieure and Collège de France, Paris. He received his PhD in physics from Harvard University in 1970 on a topic we'll see later in our discussion. He was then a post-doc at the University of Washington where he worked on electrons in ion traps. In 1975, he joined the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) where he created a group working on ion storage and was also an academic at the University of Colorado, Boulder. He and his colleagues were among the first {laser cooling was demonstrated at the same time by the group of Peter Toschek in Heidelberg} to laser-cool ions in 1978 and then demonstrated other optical techniques to control ions and implement the first two-qubit logic gate in 1995. He and colleagues also worked on the creation of the most precise atomic clock using quantum logic on a single aluminum ion in 2019. The 2005 experiment was the first demonstration of quantum-logic spectroscopy. The most precise quantum logic clock using an Al+ (aluminum) ion was demonstrated in 2019. This work later contributed to the creation of trapped ion quantum computers from the companies IonQ and Quantinuum. The transcript from the podcast published on Olivier Ezratty's website has been edited by David Wineland and Olivier Ezratty. It is slightly different from the podcast audio recording to clarify the discussion content.https://www.oezratty.net/wordpress/2024/decode-quantum-with-david-wineland

This episode is an Outdoor Classrooms Tour and Talk with Tamara Wineland from AdventureME and Trek Outdoors. A licensed micro-forest and nature school serving children ages 3-5 in Black Forest, CO. Their approach is not an unsupervised free-for-all, but a behind-the-scenes facilitation of exploration and learning. They use a blended pedagogy that allows children to form their own understanding of their world and their place in it with a focus on healthy and authentic development which builds self-confidence and teaches them to be respectful of themselves and others. In this episode learn why they are really proud to be a part of the Black Forest and how they take every advantage to develop socially, emotionally, and academically within this community. So while they have 10 acres to play on, they will occasionally venture out for a field trip to continue to make connections across these developmental areas in their traveling classroom BUS.Meet Tamara: As a mom of 3 boys, one with a rare congenital heart defect, Tamara Wineland sought alternative approaches to education, health, and well-being early on. She stumbled upon the forest school model in 2009 during her research in her Master's studies and was immediately drawn to the pedagogy. In 2020, she started AdventureMe Forest and Nature School in Colorado Springs, CO. upon completing immersive experiences and training with various programs throughout the United States. The noticeable benefits of time spent in nature for ALL children, and especially those identifying with additional needs, led her on a path of discovery as she trained and worked to launch a program in 2022 integrating therapies and play in a peer-supported outdoor environment. Today, Tamara serves as founder and visionary of TREK Outdoors and continues her work with the AdventureMe Forest School.Contact Tamara: AdventureMeTrek OutdoorsCONNECT WITH VICTORIA: EMAILOUTDOOR CLASSROOM RESOURCES:The Outdoor Classrooms CIRCLE MembershipThe Outdoor Teaching Bootcamp Seeds of Inspiration for Outdoor Learning Card DeckFREE PDF Library of Nature-Based Children's Books & Weekly Seedling News

Belonging is something that many of us hope for. We need to feel like there is a place for us, but sometimes the places we are in are not the places that offer us the freedom to be ourselves. Join Kara as she talks with Katie Kuntz-Wineland, the founder of The Belonging Table. This spiritual care community by and for queers, mystics, and misfits can be fond online through Instagram. The Belonging Table offers space to explore faith and communion for those who might have experienced religious trauma. It opens the lids of the institutional boxes we find ourselves living in to appreciate where they nourished us but to let go of the harm they too have caused and find renewal. Sometimes we need permission to live into our truest selves -- Katie offers her community that permission. Katie Kuntz-Wineland (she/her) is a queer, post-denominational minister who holds a B.A. in biblical studies, a Master of Divinity, and professional certifications in mediation and adult sexuality education. Through @thebelongingtable, Katie offers 1:1 spiritual midwife sessions, consulting and facilitation for communities and organizations, pop-up group gatherings, and queer and interfaith weddings in Ohio. As a survivor of anti-queer religious trauma, one of Katie's greatest passions is supporting others on their spiritual journeys of healing, liberation, and wholeness beyond those institutional boxes. www.facebook.com/thebelongingtable www.instagram.com/thebelongingtable thebelongingtable.wordpress.com/about

The Quiggin' Out MMA Podcast is back with Episode 55 featuring not one, but two guests as the title spoiled for you. This could not have come together any better than it did. This episode was almost filmed 10 years to the day of UFC on FX 3, which happened to be the first UFC event that I ever attended. It was an immediate love for live sports and the first day I had met any fighter, being Ian McCall. Wineland called into the show on whim and it really just turned into something more amazing than previous interviews. This episode is not a showcase or breakdown of Eddie's next fight on June 18. It was a introspective journey into the career paths of two different fighters who seem to have the same mindset and that is an amazing thing to watch unfold on screen. McCall, no longer Uncle Creepy, talks about how different his life would have been had he won the title that night against Mighty Mouse. (Spoiler, it's not a happy path). Wineland talks about whether or not he still thought he'd be fighting in the UFC 10 years later, let alone getting a brand new four fight contract this year to continue to compete on the worlds' grandest stage. McCall and Wineland really dive deep and explore life, psychedelic's, careers and what life after fighting has meant and will mean, respectively for each of them. Take some time and really have fun with this one and realize that you may get more out of it than you think. Of course, there are some fun stories peppered in here as well as well as some fun facts! Enjoy! Don't forget to head over to the BRAND NEW https://www.quigginoutpodcast.com/ for all things Quiggin Out! Dr. Rebecca Wineland, Medical Director of Labor and Delivery & Associate Professor of Maternal Fetal Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina has a stark warning for pregnant women: get vaccinated or risk serious consequences from covid-19. Dr. Wineland says that just 23% of pregnant women in the US are vaccinated, and yet even healthy pregnant women who get covid are much more lineally to end up in the ICU or die. The message of Dr. Wineland and her colleagues is that the vaccine is safe, has been heavily scrutinized, it doesn't increase the risks to the pregnancy, but it absolutely can save lives. The Quiggin Out MMA Podcast is here with episode 29 and features returning guest, firefighter and mustache aficionado, Eddie Wineland! Wineland makes his first solo appearance on the show after the Mustache Mafia took over in episode 19. Strap in folks because this one will hit home with so many people. In this episode, Wineland and I discussed his tenured career not only as a fighter, but as a firefighter, father, and husband too. Wineland is a character and shows that he is not only in great spirits after a loss, but that his priorities are in order when it comes to his life. There's even a surprise guest and some talk about Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk. Things got intense when Wineland decided to throw me for a loop about halfway through the episode when I asked him what he wanted to talk about and his answer... surprised me and I promise will surprise everyone who tunes in.
