Sad news this morning, over a dozen people have been killed when a shooter walked into a Country Bar and decided to shoot the patrons. One of those who were killed was a Sheriff officer.

The group is best known for evaluating candidates for judgeships, but it does much more. One of the useful services is based in the different specialties of lawyers; the Lawyer Referral Service directs persons in need of legal help to attorneys who specialize in the problem, whether it be patent law; wills, health-care proxies, or power of attorney; real-estate transactions; consumer issues; or criminal matters.
