Justin, Carl and Pete are joined by Ian from 4000 Holes (in Blackburn Lancashire) to talk all things Watford v Blackburn & Pete doesn't know what day it is per normal. We find out about a club who lost their big goal scoring names and seem to be finding players for little or no money with a Manager who is trying to do everything seemingly by himself. We find out that you can sign players on loan from Russian clubs (although Pete demonstrates he doesn't know the difference between CSKA and Spartak) but they will inevitably be found on the treatment table or not in the team as they are not fit (sound familiar?). As if the similarities so far aren't enough we find out the foreign funding taps appear to have been turned off – in their case though by the Indian government! We discuss how clubs look to sell tickets without making any signings that signal any ambition for the season with managers trying to recreate the football of Man City!Justin implores everyone to vote for us in the Football Content Awards, Pete starts talking about musicals for no apparent reason and then bangs on about why Coldplay and football should not be combined. We find out which member of the Wharton family Ian and the Blackburn fans are keen on this year, Carl complains about Stoke other than the size of the beer glasses and Justin gets philosophical whilst carrying on the beer theme. We do the prediction thing with a sense of incompetence that we describe as charmingly shambolic with its very own alphabetical order. This week the Backgammon plays tribute to Watford and Blackburn goal getter – Danny Graham! We discuss why Vincent Kompany is both the nicest and thus the most annoying person, Justin tries to get Carl to sing and then we discuss why Harrogate should be where Harrogate is and we start planning the DNSYE Christmas outing at the reverse fixture!COYH!!This Podcast has been created and uploaded by Do Not Scratch Your Eyes. In an effort not to remedy the Sunderland striker crisis ahead of a trip to Swansea, but instead to satisfy his endless quest for footballing knowledge - our Chris Wynn sat down with former Boro, Sunderland, Blackburn, Swansea and Watford striker Danny Graham - talking his 17 year career, hearing his side of a few stories and chatting about his experiences with managers and players past and present! What's the crack? How has life been treating Danny since retiring from professional football last year? Where did his passion for footy come from? How his first first spell at Sunderland came about and stories about his time under *deep breath* Martin O'Neill, Paolo Di Canio, Gus Poyet and Dick Advocaat; His relationship with current Sunderland gaffer Tony Mowbray after a long spell under Mogga at Blackburn; The lads he's played alongside over the years; Danny addresses some of the criticism he's faced publicly and how he feels about it in hindsight and how it felt at the time; The misery of his second spell at the club, what was going on behind the scenes under Phil Parkinson and how it influenced his decision to end his career; His thoughts on Lee Johnson, the strange departure of Alex Neil and how refreshing it is to see the club on the trajectory it is under his old boss; Looking at both his former clubs' form in the Championship so far this year - how does he see this weekend's fixture playing out? All this and much more! Listen in! #SAFC #Swans #EFLChampionship #rovers Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

When a lot of people think about 'ol school hot rods, the '32 coupe or roadster may come to mind. For Danny Graham, it is a 1955 Chevrolet drag car that has been converted to a street car! This is not surprising since he also owns a '32 Ford and a '41 Champion Studebaker hot rod.So Danny drops in a 327, a 5-speed tranny, and a set of 411 gears for go. For the show, the car has old school real wheel wells cut and it has beensprayed a nice Forrest Green from Pontiac in 1968. In the latest edition of the official club podcast Golden Tales, Danny Graham talks in great depth about those two campaigns when everything he touched turned to gold. He scored 14 in his first season and then 27 in his second, which was the most by anyone in a Hornets shirt since Luther Blissett took the old Division One by storm in 1982/83.In a near 40-minute conversation, Graham says how he left Vicarage Road with a heavy heart and reveals the two other managers he spoke to before joining Brendan Rodgers at Swansea City. And, of course, he talks table tennis and that vest. Danny Graham only spent two seasons at Vicarage Road and wasn't part of a trophy-winning side or any sort of promotion bid. So it speaks volumes for the impact he had between the summers of 2009 and 2011 that he is a Hornets Ambassador alongside some of the club greats.

Off the field the it was a turbulent time with low budgets and cost cutting where ever possible. Mike and Jason caught up with Danny to talk about his time before, during and after Watford. His flame shone bright but brief at Vicarage Road but it burnt ever so importantly.
