In today's episode, host Ian Croll is joined by Tony Scott and Gav Buckland to dissect a pivotal week in Everton's season. As the campaign enters its final stretch, the stakes couldn't be higher for David Moyes' Blues. EXCLUSIVE NordVPN Deal ➼ https://nordvpn.com/efc Try it risk-free now with a 30-day money-back guarantee The lads dive into the newly released audio from the PGMOL regarding the controversial clash at the London Stadium against West Ham. We finally hear the explanation behind why Mateus Fernandes' apparent handball wasn't given as a penalty. Was it an accident? Was it a natural position? Or did Everton once again fall victim to a baffling VAR interpretation? After a string of games where the Blues have looked uncharacteristically shaky at the back, the panel asks if it's time for David Moyes to experiment. The Jake O'Brien Question: With the Irishman impressing in a "hybrid" right-back role, is it time to move him to his natural center-back position? If O'Brien moves inside, who makes way? We debate whether Michael Keane's goal-scoring threat outweighs the defensive stability of James Tarkowski. With a massive game against Sunderland looming at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, the big team news revolves around Idrissa Gana Gueye. If the veteran is declared fit, does he go straight back into the starting 11 to provide that much-needed shield, or do the Blues stick with the current midfield balance? The Black Cats are coming to town, and the lads offer their score predictions and tactical blueprints for a must-win home fixture. To wrap things up with a bit of fun, the lads rank Premier League Kick-off Times. Watch, listen, and join the conversation in the comments below! Host Ricky Sacks is joined by David Harris, Ian Lubin and TJ Ramini as the third managerial era of the 2025/26 Tottenham Hotspur season is about to commence, as Roberto De Zerbi makes his second Premier League debut on Sunday, away to Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. We discuss Roberto De Zerbi's first pre-match press conference in which he boldly states he knows his first mission is to keep Tottenham in the Premier League but believes the club has everything to challenge for the title in the future. We also reflect on a week which has seen Mohammed Kudus could miss the rest of the season in a major blow to new Tottenham boss Roberto De Zerbi. Kudus has been out since the start of January with a quad injury, but had begun to ease his way back into training before the international break. Kudus had not missed a single game through injury for West Ham but could potentially miss half of his first season at their north London rivals. It was hoped he would be in contention to face Sunderland this weekend in De Zerbi's first game in charge. However, Spurs have confirmed that Kudus could be set to undergo surgery, ruling him out of Spurs' final seven games of the season and casting his World Cup hopes with Ghana into doubt. We debate the icompetence shown by current Sporting Director Johan Lange in which Spurs had the chance to reinforce their squad in the January transfer window, despite the difficulties involved in that market, but only brought through the door a midfielder in Conor Gallagher and 19-year-old left-back Souza, while selling last season's top scorer Brennan Johnson just days before Kudus first suffered his serious quad injury. Unfortunately, of the long-term players out when Lange made those comments ahead of the trip to face Manchester United in early February, Kudus, James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski, Rodrigo Bentancur and Ben Davies all remain side-lined two months later and were added to a week after by Wilson Odobert. Therefore once again raising concern over the medical rehabilitation of players. The panel also reflect news that Tottenham Hotspur are in pole position to sign Andy Robertson as a free agent this summer, subject to retaining their Premier League status and a price has been set for reported goalkeeper target James Trafford. We finally close on our thoughts of Sunderland, given the fact that The Black Cats are running the risk of losing four straight home league games for the first time since September 2017 in the Championship, and their shoddy Stadium of Light sequence has contributed to their bottom-half ranking in the Premier League table, although they are still within touching distance of seventh-placed Brentford at the time of writing. Eero, Zaza, and VS hear rumors about the Monastery of the Broken Blade (from itinerant mendicant Brother Aerelm), the Black Cats reactions to being blamed for the (other PC's) heist (from aspiring fixer Narder), and something about the Black Network emptying some warehouses (from fish broker Vinchenziana Moory). In the Llodown neighborhood they stumble across some ghouls and get into a fight - Eero goes down multiple times but VS saves him multiple times, which Eero attributes to the favor of battle-god Tempus. They seek out Lord Harrand Tormblade, a patron of the Abbey of the Broken Blade, who gives them a consignment of weapons to deliver to the Abbey. On the way back, they encounter crazed hermit-priest Dintoven of Waukeen digging in a garbage heap, which VS and Zaza eagerly help him with. VS recovers his cursed tongue and is praised for his service to Waukeen, accidentally discovering that he is a vessel of divine will for the second time that day.
Dave Stewart is a true music icon. Born in Sunderland in 1952 his first love affair was with football – dreaming of a career playing for the Black Cats, but a knee injury and his parents' divorce changed his entire outlook. Music filled a hole - despite a music teacher who described his dreams as ‘idiotic' it became his passion, inspired by his Dad's high-tech (for the 70s!) stereo system, a Robert Johnson blues album and some eye-opening teenage experimentation with acid.He signed to Elton John's record label shortly after leaving school and after several false starts he met Annie Lennox in 1976 and formed a band together called The Tourists – a pre-curser to the significantly more successful 80s project The Eurythmics .In the 45 years since then Dave has done it all – as an artist he's a Grammy winner, as a producer he's won multiple Brit Awards, as a song-writer he's won the prestigious Silver Clef award, he's won a Golden Glove for composing a song with Mick Jagger for Alfie and in 2024 he teamed up with Joss Stone to write a musical version of The Time Traveller's Wife. It's hard to put his contribution to music into context because his impact on popular music is so vast.Let me list just SOME of the artists he's produced, written for or recorded with:Paul McCartney, Bono, Aretha Franklin, Alison Moyet, Bryan Ferry, Sinead O'Connor, No Doubt, Jon Bon Jovi, Bob Geldoff, Bryan Ferry, & Stevie Nicks. In fact in 2011 he briefly formed a supergroup comprised of himself, Mick Jagger, Joss Stone, Damian Marley and A.R. Rahman. He's one of the great innovators – in 1998 his album SlyFi became the first album to be released on the internet – it predates Google, and MySpace and Facebook wouldn't be launched for another SEVEN years. Now in his early 70s he continues to inspire – until Covid he owned and ran a creative members club in London, and through his production company Dave Stewart Entertainment he continues to push musical boundaries and work with some of the world's biggest names in music.Enjoy our chat with an icon. Neville Cavendish puts together a crew for a heist, featuring Flip, Kain, Brimlad the Brawler, and the return of Lysander. A Goliath gang leader sends them on a city-wide scavenger hunt before taking them to Grathka Stonevein, who wants an important ceremonial ledger stolen from the Black Network. Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Broadcaster Russ Williams, Marlon and Luke as Ben Davies netted his first Spurs goal for over two years but it wasn't enough to earn us the win as Sunderland hit a late equaliser on Sunday afternoon. The Welsh defender was on hand in the first half to give us the lead on what was his first start of the season – his first goal since scoring in the 4-2 defeat at Brighton on 28 December, 2023. However, the Black Cats levelled with 10 minutes remaining through Brian Brobbey as we had to settle for a point in an entertaining encounter at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The draw in our opening home match of 2026 took our unbeaten Premier League run against Sunderland to 15 matches and leaves us 13th in the table. We also discuss the latest developments of Spurs during this summer transfer window, as Tottenham Hotspur have had an £8million ($10.7m) bid for Santos left-back Souza rejected. The Brazilian side have turned down Spurs' offer for the 19-year-old. Santos are hesitant to accept a bid for the teenager whom they have high hopes for and believe his value may increase in the future. At the time of recording, Enzo Meresca was still the manager of Chelsea Football Club. And now, the tumult at Chelsea has been thrown into overdrive as the Italian manager has been relieved of his duties at Stamford Bridge. Nonetheless, a huge match between two title hopefuls could have massive implications on the league season. Should City win, pressure will remain on Arsenal and Chelsea will be relegated to a top four race. If Chelsea prevail, they may hold lingering beliefs that they could mount an unlikely title push. Elsewhere, Tottenham will welcome promoted Sunderland. After taking points off Liverpool, Arsenal, and Manchester City, the Black Cats will look to do the same to Spurs. Ste, Howard and George look back on a stressful but successful week, the title race, mentality and more, plus preview another difficult weekend match.
The weekend kicks off from Villa Park as Aston Villa welcome lead leaders Arsenal. A fixture that is usually a tightly fought affair will represent a chance for Arsenal to heap pressure on to the chasing pack. Villa, being a part of that chasing pack, would love to claw three points back against the first place team. Leeds will hope their heroic midweek victory against Chelsea can be replicated against Liverpool. Should Leeds take all three points, they will certainly feel like they can kick on and survive in the EPL into the next season. And Manchester City will welcome upstart Sunderland to the Etihad. Pep and Co will look to dispatch the surprisingly adroit Black Cats.
