We know Feb 14 can be a bit rough for some, so we wanted to give you the subtle sounds of barfing fairies to help you get through the day. Just know, we love your goofy, kooky self ALL days of the year. You've been listening to: David S Dear as Dr. Theo Bromae Kevin Hall as Greg Sarah Golding as Mrs Sheffield Eric Perry as Dr. von Haber Zetzer Shannon Perry as Olivia Chrisi Talyn Saje as Julie Tim Sherburn as Colin Sarah Rhea Warner as Pipistrelle Bonnie Brantley as Duckweed, Wooly Sedge, Horsetail, and Cattail. The glorious madrigal music you hear at the beginning was created by John Faley and performed by John Faley, Tanya Faley, and Emily Faley. As Narrator 2 says in this episode, "English majors must perforce English maj," so here's the episode you've all been dreading: the Fakespeare. Come on, stop whining, you knew it was coming. If you're not familiar with A Midsummer Night's Dream, well, there are lots of really excellent versions out there. We prefer you NOT listen to those, however, as that's going to make this seem even more torturous than being read Vogon poetry before being shot out into space. That said, it was fun to write and fun to do, so ... get over it. Also, the second half should show up on Feb. 14, a day some folks seem to think is special. Thou hast been listening to... Sarah Golding our dialogue did edit, and Shannon Perry our sound design'ed. Lamentably, our story of Oz 9, much like the alien of old, did explode from the head of Shannon Perry and wreaketh much havoc upon a space ship. Check out more nonsense at https://oz-9.com. "Hi everyone, my name is J. Micahel DeAngelis. I'm one of the co-creators, co-writers, co-producers and the primary director on Mission: Rejected. Mission: Rejected is a scripted audio comedy about what happens when the world's great spy discovers that he can choose NOT to accept his missions, leaving no choice but to send in the ""B-team"": a nervous pencil pusher, a reformed convict, a faded sitcom star, and a White House intern, all trying to do their best the world of espionage...and not always succeeding. The episode you're about to hear is Season Four, Episode Three: ""Ghost Pepper Protocol"" and it's the story of the team having to infiltrate the mob by posing as a catering company. Now, there are a few things you'll need to know, as after four seasons we have accumulated a little bit of a backstory. In the teaser, you'll be introduced to Special Agent Chet Phillips, who's sort of our ""A-team"" super spy, but he's recently taken himself out of the field because he believes he's been possessed by his nemesis, The Admiral, the leader of a cult called Oceanologists. Also in this episode, you'll be hearing from Athena O'Brien, who for the past three season's has been the team's greatest nemesis. Having been caught at the end of season three, the team is now trying to reform her and she is forced to join them in the field. Other than that, I hope you'll enjoy this mission. It's a delicious culinary treat written and directed by me, sounded edited by John Dowgin, with additional sound design and music by Pete Barry. Finally, a shout out to our very special guest star, David S. Dear, creator and star of ""A 9th World Journal"", another show I hope you'll tune your ears to. Now sit back, relax, and enjoy ""Ghost Pepper Protocol.""" cw: cartoon violence Transcript can be found at: https://www.missionrejected.com/403-transcript https://www.missionrejected.com Socials: https://www.instagram.com/missionrejected

Transcript here: https://monkeymanproductions.com/2023/09/mto-s4-e20-transcript/ Thank you for listening to the last full episode of Moonbase Theta, Out, featuring what I think is our largest cast ever - Evan Tess Murray, Serena Rahal, Corey Spruill, Tom Zalatnai, Robin Regalado, Becca Marcus, Tal Minear, Dalia Ramahi, Leslie Gideon, Cat Blackard, Cass McPhee, M.J. Bailey, Tau Zaman, David S. Dear, Anjali Kunapaneni, Dallas Wheatley, Sarah Rhea Werner, Hazel Stapp, Shereen Lani Younes, Cole Burkhardt, Elissa Park, Alicia Atkins, Steven LaFond, NayMyo Win, Rissa Montanez, Anna Godfrey, Tina Daniels, Lisette Alvarez, Emma Sherr-Ziarko, Claudia Elvidge, Jen Ponton, Jen Ponton, Journee LaFond, Danyelle Ellett, Gabriel Tankeo, and Leeman Kessler. And various voices in the outro that were most of those folks and a few more.  Written by D.J. Sylvis; Cass McPhee is our audio engineer. Our theme music is “Star” by the band Ramp; our cover art is by Peter Chiykowski. Music for the intro segment was “Extra Real News” ; music for the outro was "The Real Story"; both by Trace Callahan. And that's it, folks. That's really where the story ends - there are four bonus minisodes to come, but those dive deeper into the characters that each is focused on, they don't really push the plot anywhere new. The story, like Barnett Bell says about revolution, like what Bilbo Baggins says about roads … goes ever on, but that doesn't mean it will all be told in the same way. I hope our little Moon tales stay with you, that you think your own thoughts about what comes next, maybe tell your own stories with a bit of Roger and Alex and Ashwini and Michell and Wilder and Nessa and Tumnus in the bones of them. Maybe one day I'll find my own way to talk about them again as well. But in the here and now, we've reached the end … and I'll say it one more time, thank you so much for listening.  Our Exectutive Producers are Sarah Müller and Beka B, and our associate producers are Marty Chodorek, June Madeley , Timothy LaGrone, Marilyn Reid, Marissa Robertcop and Linda Boyer. If you struggled through the classically complex and layered story of the last four seasons, you're not alone. It was, as Mrs Sheffield has it, "more twisty-turny than my graduate teaching assistant's insides after my AP Honours' Intestinal Inversion lecture and practicuum."  So Dr. Charles Tucket, who you may remember from another hiatus episode, The Oz 8000 Biosphere: Portrait of a Refuge, has been unthawed once again to provide some much-needed and hopefully not teeth-grittingly dull exposition and explanation. Good luck. Take notes. You've been listening to: Kyle Jones as the tour guide and Narrator Two. Chris Nadolny Gourley as your Narrator,  and David S Dear as Dr. Charlie Tucket. Have you noticed that some people thrive in transitions, while others agonize over it, and some people barely notice? Why does our tolerance for transition vary so much? The challenge is in distinguishing facts from interpretations of facts: transitions, like a move, are facts. How we think about that move (excitement over a new adventure or resentment over having to say goodbye to friends again or worry about having to find a new job) depends entirely on our interpretation of our circumstances. And that, according to Life Coach Caroline Giffon of Girafe Coaching, is great news. You have a lot more power than you may think you have, even when the circumstances seem stacked against you. Caroline offers help to reframe the conversation in your head so the emotions you're feeling and the thoughts you're having serve you better.  Music: Ben Hobbs Voice actor: David S. Dear
