>> FKA Twigs – Eusexia (Atlantic) Der sonst so düster wirkende Drum n' Bass-Sound wirkt beim Belgier Gaiko ungewohnt bunt, euphorisch und einladend. **Setlist:** - [00:00:00] Intro + Zuletzt gehört: Errorsmith und Efficient Space - [00:07:12] **Squid // Coward (WARP)** - [00:15:11] Playlist Part 1: Joy Orbison, Vanessa Amara, Gumshoes, Luigi Tozzi - [00:20:13] **FKA Twigs // Eusexia (Atlantic)** - [00:26:48] **Gaiko // st (Nous'klaer)** - [00:30:40] Playlist Part 2: Heartworms, Bruce, Brüder Selke, Larry June - [00:35:35] **Omar Dahl // Traum EP (Laut & Luise)** - [00:41:03] **Studio // West Coast (Ghostly International)** - [00:47:18] Playlist Part 3: Nele De Gussem, TYSON, Diffrent, Napes - Jetzt auf Spotify abonnieren. Want to get into Endless? Here's the link to the HOWA jam http://bit.ly/HOWAjam I met Tim Shaw aka Tim Exile in Berlin in the mid 2000s We were 2 brits roasting in the furnace of creativity that was cooking in the East It was a heady time. There were so many amazing performers around Everyone from Peaches to Kevin Blechdom, Errorsmith to Neubauten You could inhale the punk as a gas and it fueled a lot of invention at that time Tech was on that more steady and tangible bubble up and we were all trying to see how to combine our strengths with that digital promise. Around 2000 I had decided to drop out of music making to be a builder of machines. I got completely taken by the promise of Max/Msp and indeed it allowed me a great freedom to combine my voice and my obsession with the machine in a new way I was making a living looping and Tim caught wind of those early shows and it set him off on a journey to build an absolute BEAST of a looper I had travelled the Max way, Tim took the Reaktor to the loop limit. His flow machine was a joy to behold even in its infancy. I remember hearing it and being completely blown away Seem-less transitions and audio with no clicks! All things my machine struggled with. Loops with various lengths all playing off against one another, FX that would cut and carve the shit into shreds only to have new layers swoop in to fill the void and uncover new counterpoints. The Tempo could change. The Machine would time stretch and warp so beautifully. It was a marvel. The ultimate looper. It's still is the best I've ever used and for a long time it wasn't available to the public. That is until ENDLESS I'm super proud of him for daring to explode this idea into the world as something more than an esoteric loop maker for just one user. He's had to quit his career as a musician essentially to focus on the company and now it's happening. Endless is beginning. Exciting times and I'm very happy to have known the evolution of all this. I see how far it can go coz I know how far the looper has already taken me. Wild rides to get this far and more to come. Please welcome the marvelous mind that is Tim Exile to the show to share his thoughts! ___________________ MUSIC for 44 comes from - The Great Turtle https://greatturtle.bandcamp.com Michael Sayer sent me a lovely mail about this improved music and how it's born of an obsession with music making. How cool is this ? Music made at the Birds of Prey Conservation Area in Idaho. Check it out ___________________ Sponsorship for the show comes courtesy of the wondrous digital minds at Valhalla DSP! I'm thrilled to be able to have them on board as I'm such a fan of all their stuff and the JSUT released the new DELAY plugin The best $50 you'll spend on a delay, lemme tell ya! Get out and get it! Speaking of which, thanks to Devon Gilfillian The song we wrote together called “Get out and Get it”is out now as a single for him on Capitol Records! Badass! Listen here https://devongilfillian.lnk.to/ListenWE I use snips of the original demo vocal in the nitty gritty to show off the wobbly world of dual Melodyne Why not! More wobbles in 2019!!! Cheers
Swede Peder Mannerfelt makes music that is hard to categorise. And whether producing for Fever Ray and Blonde Redhead or serving up albums and EPs on Archives Intérieures and Hinge Finger, he is fiercely inventive. From experimental tribal concept music like his The Swedish Congo Record to the disassembled and goth-tinged techno rhythms of his latest, Controlling Body, he always pushes boundaries in bold new ways. He is an artist who likes to forget what he knows and go with his instincts, and it has resulted in a body or work that is truly beguiling. His mix for our series is just as esoteric. It is a two hour collage that starts of as a voodooistic brew of shamanistic rituals, abstract noise and kinked techno that takes you to a dark foreign world. From there there are some more traditional passages of drum rhythms and wild machine-made sounds as well as diversions into plenty more uncategorizable sonic spheres thanks to tracks from the likes of Pinch, Errorsmith, Vatican Shadow, Machine Woman, Umfang and tens more. It’s music as warfare, as cinema, as experimentation, and it sounds like nothing else out there.
In this week's episode Tim Blake discovers a secret diary in the forest, Doctor Pablo loses his keys and Errorsmith saves a tired swimmer. Suitable for children.

BB19 :: Efil4Onket by Simon Saint-SimonEfil4OnketDesigned and composed by Simon Saint-SimonC Ya Simon PukeyIt is with deep regret and sadness that we must confirm to the listenership the departure from The Ark of Simon Clifford Pukey. Not only was he the chief engineer of Black Box and an expert in his field but he was also a dear friend. Not citing ill health as a reason he referred to a desire to pursue more pure and consistent political and philosophical aims with his group Brothers Bear Arms. With this in mind Simon has issued the following statement (referenced in part below) on his Facebook account'I hereby recognise myself as a sovereign state and here forth remove myself from the digital media light district, severing all ties forthwith. Like all organic creatures I find repose in shadows. I find myself an auratic, autonomous and uncommodifiable individual and refuse any longer to support exploitative frameworks in exchange for vicarious identity & second hand love. Safe voyage my brothers and sisters. The night is long but i will be at your shoulder always. Dont forget.'This is my musical farewell (i only know how to party not how to grieve) at a loss of a dear brother as relevant as Ersnt, Mayakovsky, Bakunin, Cendrars, Kerouac, Levan, Alkan, Fellini, Prince and every other anarcho-disco legend not mentioned.Sounds:01 Loose Joints - Is It All Over My Face02 Bobby Konders - Nervous Acid03 DJ Hell ft. For some years now, Bristol's under_score crew have been flying the flag for deep techno flavours in the city, putting on parties with guests such as Sleeparchive, Claro Intelecto and Errorsmith, and showing plenty of love too for the dubstep/techno crossover currently blossoming (Bristol pioneer Pinch performed at under_score alongside Manchester's Andy Stott earlier this year). High quality guests aside, under_score's position on the local scene has been firmly cemented by way of core residents Microman (aka one half of Emptyset), Luke Malcher and Jim Petherwick — and Jim has kindly put together this exclusive mix for Spannered, which gives an excellent introduction to the under_score sound.
