With Kevin up in NC doing some serious OSR, Jeff and Capt. Kirk held down the fort and took care of show duties. Lots of fishing talk to kick things off, and we even got into fiddler crab preservation (that was a surprisingly interesting little chat!). Kevin did check in, though, and he had some […]
Good morning. The world is on fire. Here are some stories of terrible things people have done before now to distract you from the terrible shit that is happening right now #CreepYourHeadUp
Softy is Freezin' for a Reason to raise money for Protect Our West at Jackson's in Lynnwood in conjunction with our sponsor Coors Light joined by Terry Hollimon. We spend much of the first hour recapping last night's Hawks preseason game. There's a lot to like about this team, and one of the bright spots is Marquise Blair, putting the boom back in the Legion of Boom. Metcalf looked alright. Will this be the year that it all comes together for Shaquill Griffin? Antonio Brown is refusing to wear his new Raiders helmet citing having difficulties seeing. He says if they don't let him wear his old helmet, he may never play again.

Softy and Dick are at Jackson's in Issaquah, sitting in a cooler, freezin' for a reason in support of the Wildland Firefighter Foundation. Jamal Crawford, hometown legend, calls us up as we get underway to talk about the NBA Playoffs, the All-NBA teams, and Jaden McDaniels committing to Washington. Football season is getting closer. Yogi Roth from the Pac-12 Network looks at the Dawgs' upcoming season. He was confident the last time we talked to him. How confident is he that the Warriors can win even if Durant doesn't come back? We chat with Bonta Hill to find out how he feels about the Warriors right now.
We are Freezin' for a Reason in a cooler at Jackson's in Issaquah in support of the Wildland Firefighter Foundation. Come down and shiver for a segment. Robinson Cano was getting criticized for his lack of hustle, just as he was criticized here, so he hustles to first base and gets hurt. Contracts like Cano's just don't work. One of the best things the Mariners could have done was get rid of that huge paycheck. The Warriors don't really need Kevin Durant, but they should re-sign him just so they don't have to play him.
It's our final hour of Freezin' for a Reason at Jackson's in Issaquah supporting the Wildland Firefighter Foundation in partnership with Coors Light. In case you missed it, we spoke with Jamal Crawford earlier, so we roll that back. Seth Everett talks about Cano's contract, the Mets' problems, and the inevitable changes that he says will have to come to baseball. The Stanley Cup Final begins next week, and with a hockey team coming to this city it's a good chance to familiarize ourselves with the sport more. One thing that makes hockey fun to watch is that one little mistake can cost you the game, which isn't quite as true in most other sports.
