Reports coming out that Haley will announce she is dropping out of contention for the Republican nomination. Steve and Ted get the latest from Fox News Ryan Schmelz.
Today, we've got a special bonus episode of “9 to 5ish” for you. Our guest is Nikki Haley, the former governor of South Carolina and former US Ambassador to the United Nations during the Trump Administration. She's currently running for the Republican nomination for president. In this episode, we talk to Governor Haley about the job she wants, running against her former boss, and her positions on reproductive rights, the economy, and more. At theSkimm, we've mobilized hundreds of thousands of women to vote. And it's important that we hear directly from the candidates about the policy positions that impact women. We've also invited President Biden and former president Trump to sit down with us.
In this episode we see the South Carolina Primary starting to heat up, which is what this primary is historically well known for doing. We will feature two Donald Trump for President events , one in Columbia centered on Nikki Haley's record on illegal immigration as compared to that of President Donald Trump , and another in Horry County at the Conway Courthouse that centers on Governor Haley's friendly relationship with China. It is an all star cast of speakers from Attorney General Alan Wilson, State Treasurer Curtis Loftus, to Representatives Stuart Jones and Bill Taylor, then when we get to Horry County, we will hear from Representatives Case Brittain, and Val Guest and then Congresswoman Nancy Mace and the State's biggest rising political star Congressman Russell Fry, as they talk Chinese Spy Balloons and Nikki Haley's supposed status as the Chinese's favorite Governor. This episode begins the hard hitting nature for which the South Carolina Primary has become famous and this cycle is just getting started. Then we switch gears, and sides, to cover the South Carolina Democratic Presidential Primary which this year became the first in the election cycle on the Democratic side. It was pretty much a non event, given that after Robert Kennedy Jr decided to run as an independent that turned it into essentially a one man show on their side of the fence. Joe Biden carried 97% of the vote in a state that has always looked out for him. The big question for his campaign, however, was the extraordinarily low turn out, only 200,000 voters statewide. Is that an ominous sign for the race to come? Who knows for sure, but we do know this for sure we are now officially underway in the race for the White House. Trump is attacking Nikki Haley with the usual racist dog whistles. Governor Haley blathered America has never been a racist country. In the United States, inflation is caused by corporate greed. A grand jury indicted Glengarry Glen Ross star Alec Baldwin for involuntary manslaughter over the fatal shooting on the set of Rust. Montana is trying to make abortion a right for every citizen but the woman haters of the GOP continue to crap on their efforts. A dangerous and unnecessary swim-with-sharks experience was closed after a ten-year-old was bitten. Tooty Rudy Giuliani has been filling his pampers during bankruptcy proceedings, as well as other proceedings. A vile Repub from Oregon caterwauled Muslims and other godless folks are unfit to hold office. The cicadas are coming like you wouldn't believe. Prophetess loon Kat Kerr claimed to get info straight from Don Jr. on the regs. Weasel-faced Eric Trump said his gross fascist father was guided by god. Christian nationalist wanker Bill Cook announced any soul involved in election fraud, but not in the way normal people think of it, will be stuck down by merciful JEEBUS.
In the 6 AM Hour: Larry O'Connor and Patrice Onwuka discussed: Nikki Haley defends illegal immigration: "We don't need to be disrespectful. We don't need to talk about them as criminals. They're not, they're families that want a better life." Live from DeSantis' Iowa HQ, Rep CHIP ROY torches Nikki Haley for insulting the entire state of Iowa: “The people of Iowa take this very seriously. But you know, for some reason, Governor Haley doesn't seem to understand that…” FLASHBACK: NBC retracts erroneous Paul Pelosi story that fueled conspiracy theories NBC News reporter at center of infamous Paul Pelosi report retraction exits network Where to find more about WMAL's morning show: Follow the Show Podcasts on Apple podcasts, Audible and Spotify.
