And welcome to the program on your Tuesday afternoon. Glad to have you along with us. I tell you. Alright. So, president Trump is, meeting with advisers right now in the, the Situation Room at the White House. Don't know what's gonna come out of this today. No idea. Now the president tweeted earlier today just, two words, unconditional surrender to the folks in Iran. And this is I'm I'm be honest with you, folks. This is one of those issues where I'm going, Because I see both sides of this issue. I I really do. Now do we need Iran to have nuclear weapons? Well, no. That would be a bad thing. On the other hand, do we wanna commit US troops to going in and fighting a war, that was ultimately I mean, Israel was was the one that took these preemptive strikes against Iran. So is this our fight? Just the same way as we look at what's going on with Russia and Ukraine, little bit different situation there. But how do you guys feel about this? That's what I would like to know, because I remember. And any of you folks out there with any gray hair on you whatsoever, you remember there was a time where the sentiment in this country was all about bombing Iran. Remember this from Vince Vance and the Valiance. And we all know after the the, you know, the the Iranian hostage crisis and all that, everybody was talking about, doing away and and basically just wiping the floor with with Iran. But now people are kinda like, I don't know if we wanna be getting in there and doing all of this. So I would like to know what you guys think. Should we be getting involved in Iran, or should we alright. So there's a couple of things here. Number one, should we get involved directly in attacking Iran? Should we let Israel handle it on their own completely, or should we support Israel in their attacks on Iran? The what now you gotta admit, what Israel did with this thing was absolutely phenomenal. They had, from what we're hearing, they had planes in Iran ready to take off. They smuggled fighter jets into Iran. That's amazing. We all they had assets inside Iran. They had drones. They had fighter planes. When they gave the go, they went. And this is something that had from what I was hearing, had been hearing is, this is something that had been planned for a couple of decades now, getting ready for this particular moment. Let's see. Charlie, nukes in two weeks and death to America has been the narrative for forty five years. So, so now we're gonna trigger them? I don't know. Charlie, make glass with all that sand. There he is, another one. Charlie, no, no problem with kneecapping Iran. They earned that, but there's no reason it should turn into a blank show that like Iraq and Afghanistan did. My problem is leadership to being too cavalier with other people's lives. Charlie, that sure brings back some memories, doesn't it? Yeah. Vince Vance and the Valjens. Charlie, you can't stop evil with a hug, sell your cloak, and buy a sword until my return was said for a reason. Okay. Charlie, remember what you said last week, trust Trump? I don't think so, but those are your words. Well, I'm still gonna trust Trump on this. Charlie, Iran with nukes poses, such a high threat to The US that we need to deliver the MOABs for our own nation's survival. Several people saying, let Israel handle this. Alright. There you go. We'd love to know what you guys think about it. Let's go to John in Greenville and talk to him. John, if I can push that dog on button. John, welcome. Hey, Charlie. How are you doing, bud? I'm great, man. What's going on? I just wanted to give you a quick answer to your question there. Okay. And the answer is all of the above. Okay. And they're for several reasons. I do think that The United States should be involved. I do think that The United States should support Israel. Mhmm. I do think that The United States should supply Israel with whatever they need, but I think that The United States should go further. One, with a good air assau ...
Good gracious. It's already 06:00. Welcome, six o'clockers. We appreciate you tuning in this afternoon. Well, protests all over the country talking about no kings this weekend. We had riots in Los Angeles. Also, Seattle, those did not gather a whole lot of attention. And, of course, she had the mainstream media denying all of this even happening. Well, one of the other talking points that the lying media keeps telling you is that oh, Charlie. Donald Trump is departing innocent people. That's all he's doing is out there. He's just rounding up people off the streets and departing them. There's horrendous people. There's a good harbor. No. Not really. 75%. 75%. In the first just now this is just from the first one hundred days of the Trump administration. 75% of the illegal aliens that were rounded up and scheduled for deport, deportation. 75% were violent criminals, and that's a lot. DH DHS responded to a CNN report suggesting that a very, very small percentage of illegal aliens taken into custody by ICE were serious criminal had serious criminal convictions. Well, that's fake news. Secretary Noem has unleashed ICE to target the worst of the worst, including gang members, murderers, and rapists. In president Trump's first one hundred days, 75% of vice arrests were criminal illegal aliens with convictions or pending charges. That's remained the messaging of DHS throughout the deportation process. They're going after the worst of the worst. And now Donald Trump is talking about ramping it up in heavily Democrat controlled cities. Good. That reality was recently seen in a recent ICE operation in Los Angeles, the one that sparked all of those riots. The ICE protest wormed their way around the country, hitting Newark, New Jersey, San Antonio, Texas, and more. Despite reading from Breitbart here. However, despite the widespread outrage and protests, DHS kept a running list of some of the criminals that it has arrested at part of its operation, in LA. DHS described these as some of the worst criminals with the with criminal histories, including but not limited to sexual battery, willful cruelty to a child, assault with a deadly weapon, grand theft, child molestation, second degree murder, assault with the with, intent to commit rape and more. So no. I'm sorry, CNN. These aren't in his these aren't Maryland dads out there. That's not what these people are. First of all, they're in this country illegally. They need to go home just like that young lady from California who overstayed her visa in Mexico for a hundred and eighty days. They didn't ask her why she was there. They didn't ask her if she would like to stay. They just said, you're gonna sit here until you pay us the $380 for your plane ticket back to The United States. And they made her pay her own way, her own way. These people are not the angels that the mainstream media keeps making them out to be. But how does the American people feel about this? And I know we saw Bunchy the Owls protesting this weekend. I know we saw that. But how does actual America feel about it? President Trump has seen a net approval rating increase in his handling of immigration. That is from a new weekly economist YouGov poll. The survey asked respondents if they approved or disapproved of the way Trump is handling immigration across the board. 49% approve of Trump's handling of immigration compared to 45% who disapprove, giving the president a net approval of plus four. Opinions are sharply divided among party lines. 85% of Democrats, for for example, disapprove of Trump's handling of immigration. Only 12 approve. Meanwhile, 88% of Republicans approve of his handling of immigration, and just 10% disapprove. A plurality of independence approve of Trump's handling of the issue, 46% compared to 44% who disapprove. And this coincides with a morning consult survey showing that a majority of voters, 51%, approve of Trump's handling of immigration. So all those people that you saw, the old whi ...

Ed Rendell, do you have any doubt that this is anything more than a carnival show? And you watched that speech today, and we all laugh about it. And I'm sitting here laughing out loud, you know Yep. You know, for for the entire, you know, front part of the show here as we're talking about it. I mean, it was a rambling a rambling mess of a speech. That said, it was very entertaining. I was howling, howling. He's got gamudgions of money. He's got a lot of recognition, and he just became the twelfth presidential candidate for the Republican party. Is it typical Donald Trump fashion, or is it hilarity run amok? This morning, some Republicans say they're worried Trump will turn the campaign into a circus. Party leaders worry Trump's presence will turn the primary into a joke. America's largest Latino civil rights organization called Trump an exceedingly silly man. Donald Trump is a fool. Hell froze over, and now we're stuck in the ice with Donald Trump. Hey. There you go. Ten years ago today, ladies and gentlemen, and they thought he was a joke. Everybody, all of the late night comedians, they were on there talking. Even even I remember, Charleston's own embarrassment, Stephen Colbert going, hey, buddy. It was funny. Hey. We've had a good time, but it's time for you to go. And over the past ten years, this man has become the most consequential president that this country has ever known. Well, I would say the top three, maybe the top four. Of course, you got Washington, you got Lincoln, you got Reagan, and you got Trump. Those three, the most consequential presidents that we have ever had, and he continues to show just how consequential he is every single day. They even had big oh, oh, oh, by the way, president Trump sent out a thank you this weekend. He thanked all of the people that were going to the no kings rally. He said, thank you so much. I thought we were gonna get a king to replace me, but but that didn't happen. Oh, my word. Did you see the owls this weekend? The old white liberals out there did you see them? Yeah. Thanks. Yeah. That's a it's a good yeah. They were out there. Oh, they don't even they didn't even know why the heck they were there, ladies and gentlemen. Some of these people had absolutely no clue why they were at this no kings rally, and I'll give you a great example. Here you go. Here's this one woman. I just I just I I'm just so scared. I'm I'm 74 years old. I worry about everything, and I just I just I just am so scared and upset, and I don't and I don't understand voted for this person. Oh, I can tell you. I oh oh oh, call on me. I can tell you. I can tell you why. I can tell you why 74 year old white liberal. I can tell you why they voted for him. Open borders. How about that? The economy. Inflation. How about that? I mean, just that's just three right off the top of my head. How about that? That's why people voted for him in droves. That's why he won 312 electoral votes. That's why he won the popular vote. That's why not only he beat Hillary Clinton, but he also beat Kamala Harris. Here here is Donald Trump. Beat the only beat two women running for president. That's perfect. Good for you. And, ultimately, beat Joe Biden as well. We all know that. Right? Absolutely. ...

Well, I I every day, I've been really, really trying to focus on gratitude this year. This year, I've deemed the year of gratitude. Every night before I go to bed, I list all somebody said one times one time. Imagine that tomorrow, you wake up with only the things you were thankful for the night before. Wow. Yeah. Imagine that. So I I I go down a a pretty much comprehensive list every single night, in in in things that I'm I'm so grateful for. And it it is just one of those things that that you you need to be thankful for a lot of things. And one of the things that I am really, really thankful for is the fact that Lindsey Graham never got anywhere near the resolute desk when he was running for president. That I am so thankful. First of all, that we don't have a president Joe Biden. We don't have a president Kamala Harris. We don't have a president Lindsey Graham. I just want you to imagine how many wars we would be in if Lindsey Graham were president. How many of our troops would be overseas if Lindsey Graham were the president of The United States? This man never met a war he didn't like, and I'll go even further. He hasn't met many Democrats that he didn't like. Notice he's been palling around with Richard Blumenthal lately. Let's go to the WRD Talk LIVE. We talked to Gerald in Cowpens. How you doing, Gerald? Hey, buddy. So, Charlie, if you wanna see a awesome parade, go to Cowpens Town Hall Facebook page. We had a parade Saturday that honored the w w two veterans that served on the USS Cowpens. It is heartwarming to watch. We will certainly check that out. I appreciate it. Thank you so much, Gerald. Well, the Democrats, they should change their name. They that's what they need. I saw this guy this weekend. I think it was over on TikTok. He was like he was like, how can I make a can of Pepsi healthy? How can I do that? And he went on I mean, it was amazing what this guy did. First of all, he changed it to Pepsi hydration. Pepsi hydration made mostly water, and and he rebranded it to say, the main ingredient it is is always water. Made from all natural ingredients. Yada yada yada. And he took this ordinary can of Pepsi, rebranded it, and made it look like something you go, man, I'm gonna give me some of this Pepsi hydrate. Yeah, ma'am. Oh, yes. I'm I'm dehydrated. I better get me a big old can of Pepsi. It was just Pepsi. That's all it was. But he was able to rebrand it and make it into something that it completely was not. The Democrats need a rebranding. They need to drop that name, the Democrat Party. That's not working for me. It's got, it's got too much too much baggage with it, too much luggage, too much bad history. They need to change the name of the Democrat Party to exactly what they really are, and that is the Dunning Kruger party. Now if you don't know what the Dunning Kruger effect is, let me explain it to you. And I've got I'm gonna go here. I'm gonna get the official definition. The Dunning Kruger effect is a cognitive bias where people with low ability in a specific area tend to overestimate their competence, while those with high ability tend to underestimate their ability. Essentially, unskilled individuals lack the self awareness to recognize their own incompetence, leading them to believe that they are more skilled than they actually are. Conversely, highly skilled individuals may underestimate their abilities because they perceive tasks that are easy for them to be easy for everyone else as well. In other words, what's that saying is people, the Dunning Kruger effect means that you're an idiot, and you're too stupid to know that you're an idiot. Can you think of a better definition of the Democrat party? They're dumb, and they just don't know it. All of this I mean, literally, all of this stuff that they say when you got you got what that that mayor of Chicago now calling for reparations. Basically saying that the the city of Chicago is only going to work with black vendors. Literally saying that. That happened today. This guy is so dumb. He doesn't even realize how dumb he is. Maxine Waters is so dumb. She doesn't even realize how dumb she is. But, boy, everything she says, she says with the utmost confidence. So, yeah, the Democrat party, they should be renamed the Dunning Kruger party because while they're idiots, while they're incompetent, in their own little pea brained mind, they believe they are. They literally think they're doing a good job. They're sitting there putting forks in light sockets, thinking they're doing something good. They have no idea. They really don't. So they get involved in all of these causes, like these no king. I will guarantee you, most of those people at the no king's protest that were going on this weekend really truly had no idea why they was there. They were just there because somebody told them to go. Now we've had a couple of no kings parties, no kings protest in this country in the past. The first one happened in 1776. The latest one that happened was on February, actually, when we elected Donald Trump. Theirs was the party that were acting. They were the ones that were the authoritarians. They were the ones that were shutting this country down. They were the ones that ar ...

In president Trump's first one hundred days, seventy five percent of ICE arrest were criminal illegal aliens with convictions or pending charges. However, despite the widespread outrage and protests, DHS kept a running list of some of the criminals that it is arrested at part of its operation, in LA. DHS described these as some of the worst criminals with the with criminal histories, including but not limited to sexual battery, willful cruelty to a child, assault with a deadly weapon, grand theft, child molestation, second degree murder, assault with the with, intent to commit rape, and more. So no. I'm sorry, CNN. These aren't in these aren't Maryland dads out there. That's not what these people are. First of all, they're in this country illegally. They need to go home. Just like that young lady from California who overstayed her visa in Mexico for a hundred and eighty days. They didn't ask her why she was there. They didn't ask her if she would like to stay. They just said, you're gonna sit here until you pay us the $380 for your plane ticket back to The United States. And they made her pay her own way. Her own way. These people are not the angels that the mainstream media keeps making them out to be. But how does the American people feel about this? And I know we saw a bunch of the owls protesting this weekend. Only 12% approve. So all those people that yo ...
In this episode, we are joined by comedian, podcaster, and author Charlie James. We begin with an unexpected (but charming) introduction to Pamphlet, Charlie's cat, followed by Charlie's very thoughtful answer to our silly question wheel. Charlie discusses his experience transitioning while building a comedy career in the public eye and then we turn our attention to a listener-submitted voicemail asking how to respond when a child comes out to you as trans. Raimi and Charlie consider the question, “what did I need to hear?” and the group chats about leading with joy, enthusiasm, and curiosity. As always, we finish with recommendations: Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur's deleted episode “The Gatekeeper” from Disney+, the Trans Youth Emergency Project, and x + y: A Mathematician's Manifesto for Rethinking Gender by Eugenia Cheng. Most importantly, make sure to check out and pre-order Charlie's new book, I'm Just A Little Guy: How to escape the horrors and get back to dillydallying, coming out fall 2025!If you enjoyed this episode, please share it with family and friends! Understand. I don't understand why the people at MSNBC don't get it. These network executives, they just don't understand what's going on. They don't know how to run the a a media company. That's that's obvious. Now they fired Joy Reid at MSNBC. Okay. We were all okay with that. Nobody was crying over Joy Reid losing her job. The most racist person on on cable television. But they replaced her with probably the second whitest woman on the planet. Now we all know that Elizabeth Warren is the whitest woman in the world. In fact, she did a DNA test. That was so funny, because president Trump started calling her Pocahontas. So she went out and she got one of those DNA tests because she claimed that she was Native American. Even on her Texas bar license, she put down her race as Native American. She was listen. I forget which college she went through, but it but in in their list of dignitaries, they actually claimed that she was the first woman of color. What? If that color is ivory, then yes. So she's the she's the whitest woman on the planet. The second whitest woman on the planet is Jen Psaki. They replaced Joy Reid with Jen Psaki. Now I am shocked that activists all over the country didn't just lose their minds. I'm surprised that Al Sharpton didn't come out against MSNBC. I'm surprised that all of these people, E Elie Mistall, all these folks out there didn't just rise up against MSNBC because they replaced well, they didn't replace her, but they yeah. Well, they they fired Joy Reid. They promoted Jen Psaki. Well, now Jen Psaki is doing the Tuesday through Friday show in the 9PM time slot. That used to be and still kind of is Rachel Maddow's time slot. Now Rachel Maddow was doing the show for $25,000,000 a year. Five nights a week, one hour. Good gracious. I could do a one hour show standing on my head. And she went from 25,000,000, 5 nights a week. They cut her salary to 20,000,000, and she only does Monday nights. That's it. Now granted, she was on the air five nights a week during the first hundred days of the Trump administration, and she had to hate that. But could you imagine getting $20,000,000 a year to do a one hour a week show? I gotta talk to my agent. Man, that's some serious money there. Well, MSNBC's thought that they were doing something smart. They put gin sake on Tuesday through Friday, and that turns out to be a disaster. Just weeks after Emma this is from trending politics. Just weeks after MSNBC debuted its brand new prime time lineup in an attempt to salvage plummeting viewership. Audiences made clear their feelings about the direction, and it's not positive for the network. Over the course of May, the outlet has plummeted 41% in viewership in key demographics. That's not the only area MSNBC has taken a serious hit. They also dropped 34% in the total day demo compared to where they were a year ago. Jen Psaki has been the hardest hit. She was given the show back on May 5. They thought she was gonna be a huge draw. They thought Jen Psaki would surpass Rachel Maddow's success. That didn't happen. It's been quite the opposite. According to the Daily Mail, the latest rate ratings for the briefing with Jen Psaki came in on May 22 when it failed to crack the coveted 1,000,000 viewer mark. Wow. Hannity had 2,300,000 total viewers that night. Jen Psaki performed dismally in the twenty five fifty four, age demographic, only pulling in alright. Now alright. Now listen to this. Jen Psaki, national show on in every single market on television. Got 55,000 viewers in the twenty five to fifty four demographic. 55,000. Now this is a national show. It's a national show. I have more listeners than that total total market, And I'm not making anywhere near Jen Psaki's, salary on this thing. That's unbelievable. That I always thought I I mean and I know you guys think that that when these people are on the edges, millions of people are tuning in every night, but they're not. Only 55,000 ages 25 to 54 are tunin ...
And welcome to the program on your Thursday afternoon. Hope you've had a great and wonderful day. Hope you've got a good weekend planned. I know I do. We'll get to that coming up in just a little bit. But, how many PMU people out there right now today, 05/29/2025, are frustrated beyond belief at what's going on in this country. How many of you are starting to realize that maybe, just maybe, the executive branch of the president does not have the power that we always thought it had. Now it seems like our country is being run by these liberal, radical judges out there. There's a court that has put a permanent hold on Trump's tariffs, especially the ones regarding China. When it clearly states in the 1974 Trade Act that was passed by Congress that the president does have the right to do these things. He's got the authority to use tariffs. If if he thinks that that somebody's, you know, stealing our intellectual property, he can enact some retribution against that country, and he can impose strict tariffs on them. If he thinks we're being treated unfairly in the in in in in international trade, he can also enact tariffs against those countries. You see, he's got the authority to do it. So then you then so then maybe you're wondering, well, well, don't worry, Charlie. Charlie, don't worry. Congress is gonna step in. Congress is gonna come along and say, no. They're not. They're not. I am about as sick and tired of this congress under Mike Johnson as I can possibly be. Right now, with everything that's going on, and we've got all these radical judges out there, we've got everything that's happening right now. Where is congress? They go on vacation for eleven days. Eleven days. Mike Johnson, Thune. Yeah. Let's go on vacation. It's good time. Good time to go on vacation. Let's all take eleven days off. No. Forget the country. It'll be here when we get back. So they go. They they hightail it out of town. They should be in Washington working their absolute butts off. The Trump administration works fifteen hours a day minimum minimum for this country. Yet we've got a part time congress at best. They are doing absolutely nothing. And I've told you this before, but they have sent fewer bills to the president in the first little over a hundred days than any other congress in seventy years. Seventy years. They could be they could be sending a bill a day to the president's desk, but they're not doing it. And somebody said something to me the other day that I thought, well, that's kind of a strange thing to say. But but now I think they're right. The Republicans do not like being in power. They really don't. Here's what they would rather do. They would rather sit in the back of the room and complain than actually lead. We don't have leaders in Congress. I'm I'm sorry. We just don't have leaders in Congress. There's no trail. Oh, well, there's a couple of exceptions. You know, you got Marjorie Taylor Greene. You've got, you got a couple of others. But other than that, there are no real leaders in congress. No actual firebrands. Timber Chet is one of the firebrands. He's one of the leaders out there, but nobody's listening to these people. Nobody in power is listening to these people because they don't want anything done. I swear I wish you could put them under a lie detector test and say, do you want the Trump agenda to pass? And they go, oh, yes. Absolutely. I do. And that needle with those needles would just be jumping all over those all leaving all of those big quaky marks on the paper. Nope. Sorry. You're lying. You actually don't want the Trump agenda to pass. Question number two. Do you want to win in next year's midterm election? Did you want the Republicans to win? Oh, absolutely. Click. Click. Click. Click. Click. Click. Click. Click. Click. Click. All of these I mean, bells, whistles, sirens, smoke starts coming out of the machine. They don't wanna win. There is a way that they could win. I pledge allegiance to the flag of The United States Of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Oh, beautiful for spacious skies, for amber waves of rain, for purple mountain majesties above the fruit America is back. Yes, sir. And there is a huge push right now to make America healthy again, the whole Maha movement with, RFK Junior. Well, there was a Maha report last week, and state representative Stephen Frank was there. Let's talk to him right now. Representative Frank, welcome to the program. Hope you're doing well. Hey, Charlie. I'm doing well. Hope you are. Thanks for having me on today. Yes, sir. So what did we find out in the Maha report that was released last week? First of all, what was it like there meeting RFK Jr and and being in on all the action? Oh, Charlie, it it was it was one heck of an experience. You can't you can't hardly put it into words. I was honored to be invited, to the White House for for that report. And, couple hundred people there in in the East Room, gathering to see, you know, really what this monumental report was gonna contain. Mhmm. When the president, began his administration, he he assembled this commission. You know, the Maha agenda was a huge part of the campaign since RFK had joined, you know, suspended his campaign for president. And and so right out of the gate, you know, Trump had the, the the, you know, directive to to start this commission and and begin with just looking at facts, doing research, and figuring out, how do we qualify and quantify the problem we're facing. So Right. That was step one, and and that was a hundred day time frame that they had. And so last last Thursday marked that hundred days, so the commission gathered, with Trump to deliver that report. And, just remarkable remarkable experience to be there and be with all the the folks in the room. But, you know, that report, it it it wasn't anything necessarily new or earth shattering, but it codified and and and articulated what so many people have already known, you know, that that we have a health crisis. Right. We have all these these things in our food, our environment, but the government has never been willing to say, yes. This is bad for you, and, yes, this is causing illness, and, yes, this is, adding to the the burden of society. So to hear an administration actually admit, that that we have these problems was was just momentous. Yeah. It was momentous. And and this is something that a lot anybody that you know, a lot of homesteading families out there, a lot of families that are concerned with with health, when they were preaching about this, every everybody was calling them kooks, but it turns out they weren't. When they when they were complaining about the amount of dyes that are in our food and the problems that they are causing, I mean, these people were absolutely right, weren't they? They they were they were a % vindicated. You know, for decades, every wealthy home in America has had a filter to get fluoride out of the water. Yeah. Right? But we've had so much propaganda to say, oh, we need fluoride in our water for our health. And so many studies have been bought and paid for, but and it's been so unfair to marginalize a portion of study. They just can't afford those filters. Now all of a sudden here, the federal government admitting that the the really, they were wrong the whole time. Yeah. And that what average Americans knew every day to be true, they were proven true and and and and vindicated, and that's just one aspect that those repeated over and over and over again through this report. And we find out I mean, there's a lot of countries in Europe, a lot of countries around the world world that just do not allow these additives in our food. But for some reason, and we all know why, because there are lobbyists in Washington, we allow them here in The United States. Is that gonna be taken care of? You kno ...
I started out the show today by, asking the question, do the Republicans in Washington really want to win the midterms? Do they really wanna win the mid? I don't think they do. I I really don't. Somebody said that Republicans really like when they're in the minority. You know why? Know why? They get more money. They get more donations. They get more people saying, oh, go fight these. Oh, you go. You're putting up such a good fight against these Democrats. I'm gonna write you a check. And then we'll get out there, and we all remember we all remember the midterms under Joe Biden. Republicans were still a minority, but they always promised that we're gonna use the power of the purse. We're gonna stop all of these Biden initiatives. We're gonna use the power of the purse. And when did they do it? Not a single time. Not one time did they use the power of the purse. So I'm never ever ever going to listen to a a a Republican that says they're gonna use the power of the purse again. You say that, I mean, I'm gonna write you off. Okay? You're automatically written off. In fact, I narrated or I moderated the third congressional district debate. And we had I think we had five or six candidates there. Only one was missing in that debate in in Saluda. And I asked a question on stage. I said, would you be willing to use the power of the purse to stop the Biden initiatives even up to shutting down the government? I'd ask that of all of the candidates. And if all well, I believe it was six on stage, only one said they would. Only one said that they would be willing to go as far as shutting down the government to stop Joe Biden's policies. And that was Mark Burns. He was the only one that would say that. You see, the GOP is, cowards. They're gutless. They want everybody to like them. They want the Democrats to like them. Even though this president has the full support of the American people and this full support of the people that vote Republican. Listen to this is Harry Enten over on CNN. Listen to what he says about what president Trump is doing with Harvard. This is very interesting. I I think going into this, I think a lot of Americans thought that higher ed needed a nice kick in the rear end. What am I talking about here? Well, why don't we take a look at high confidence in higher education? You go back a decade ago, 57% of Americans had high confidence in higher education. Look at where we are now. That number has plummeted. Plummeted as of last year down to 36%. We're talking about a 36 drop among Republicans specifically. Get this. 68% of Americans said that higher education wrong track. So it's a question of whether or not people agree with Trump's tactics, but they definitely agree with him on the idea that there is a problem with higher ed overall. One thing you've heard from president Trump and many Republican allies for quite some time is accusing colleges and universities across the country of not being a friendly place for conservatives, if you will. How do the American public feel? Yeah. So, you know, do colleges have a liberal bias? I I think that's really the question here. And what we see in polling after polling after polling is that the plurality say yes. Overall, look at that. 45% of Americans overall agree with the idea that colleges have a liberal bias. Just 24% disagree with that idea. Look among Republicans. Hello. 67% of Republicans agree that colleges have a liberal bias. This is why Donald Trump is so emphatic and so wanting to take on this fight because he knows that Republicans hate universities, hate the administrations, believe they have a liberal bias, and in fact, the plurality of Americans overall agree with the idea, agree with Donald Trump, that colleges are in fact a place where bias reigns. And it does reign. It does reign. So 67% of Republican voters say, we like what Donald Trump is doing to Harvard. Why isn't Congress jumping on the bandwagon? This man won 312 electoral votes. He wo ...
Just going through the email and everything, you know? Just going through the email. Let's do this. Let's go to the phones again. Let's go to, Joe in Rock Hill. Yes, sir. Hey, Bill. How are you doing today? I'm okay. Thanks for holding, by the way. Thank you. No. It's good because a great topic of why you have to escape blue states. I escaped Long Island, New York 3 Years ago because the corruption and this is on Long Island. This isn't even the city. It's just astounding. My taxes on on a home that was 1,900 square foot and a quarter acre of property was over $13,000 a year. Now that was property taxes, school taxes and town taxes combined. But you start seeing all the grips. You got teachers making $200,000 a year, superintendents of school districts making a half a million dollars a year. You got the county executive making $250,000 a year. His wife is in charge of the park parks department making $250,000 a year. He's brought up on corruption charges. The DA is brought up on corruption charges. The chief of police was brought up thinking he was the Old Beach, serial killer at one time. They haven't solved that case either. You you start seeing where all your money goes, and then I'm I'm driving on streets that have potholes that are taking out my rims. You call the town up. Well, that's not our problem. You know, it just and you look at the town employees. They all have the same last name. It it's just like you can't you can't defeat these people. And trust me, I tried for years involved in my local school boards. You start finding out the people elected to school boards are teachers in other districts, so they gotta keep the grip going. Right. Because if their contract doesn't get passed, then the one the district they're in won't get passed. It's it's such a uphill battle to try and fix these places, and and the last call is right. Until people really start going and serving real jail time, it it nothing will ever change. And the other problem is is these officials, the taxpayer always ends up paying the lawyer's fees because they were official employees of the town or or or or or the the the county, and and there's an obligation to pay these lawyer's fees, which turn out to be connected law firms that make millions of dollars fighting this stuff over periods of time. It's crazy. Yeah. I I've always I know some people are out of New York like yourself and some of the things they tell me about how deep and how winding it is and you're thinking, well, sooner or later just because of the law of averages, I should run into something that isn't full of grift. But you never do, do you? No. It it it just never you know? And to give you an example, okay, Shoreham Nuclear Power Plant. I was about eight years old when they started building it. I was still paying on my electric bill a surcharge for a power plant that was built and dismantled. And one of the reasons we had some of the highest electric rates in the country because they decided that it it we couldn't have an evacuation plan. They would never let it run. But every taxpayer or every investor on that project got paid out, and and and they're still paying for that power plant. The one school district that benefited for years, they at one point, it came out in in a newspaper article that they were paying for violin lessons for four students that was costing the school district $500,000 a year because of all the extra money they were getting from the power plant that never ran. Right. It's like the bridge to nowhere in California. Gotcha. Anyway I can't take it anymore. You the the best thing to do is to get out while the getting is good and go enjoy life somewhere where it's actually America. Yeah. Because I I I now I had a very rare full carry permit for the state of New York, because of my connections in law enforcement and stuff. But, I I sold my house there for max money. And if you would have told me in twenty something years what I would have sold my ...

Understand. I don't understand why the people at MSNBC don't get it. These network executives, they just don't understand what's going on. They don't know how to run a a media company. Only 55,000 ages 25 to 54 are tuning in ...
I pledge allegiance to the flag of The United States Of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Oh, beautiful for spacious skies, for amber waves of grain, for purple mountain majesties above the fruit America is back. Yes, sir. Even despite Lindsey Graham, from the common sense retirement planning text line, Charlie, all you gotta do is play that, Lindsey Graham clip of him saying that Donald Trump can go to hell and that he will lose. Oh, what do you mean? You mean this clip from Lindsey Graham? And you know how you make America great again? Tell Donald Trump to go to hell. That clip? I would never play that clip. No. That's, that that would be horrible, to do something like that. Yeah. That's it. He also said that Donald Trump was the most unelectable Republican that he had ever seen in his whole wide life. There you go. So, anyway, well, over at Doge, a lot of people have been talking about Doge lately. I'm wondering what the heck is going on. They have found I want you to listen to what Elon Musk said that they founded Doge. This will blow your mind. Here we go. So, I call it magic my computer any computer which can just make money out of thin air. That's magic money. So how does that work? It just issues payments. And you said there's something like 11 of these computers at treasury that are that are sending out trillions in in payments? They're mostly at treasury. Some are but there's some at, HHS, Some at there's one as they wanted to at state. There's some at DOD. I think we found now 14 magic money computers with 14. Okay. They just send money out of nothing. They just send money out of nothing. Now, folks, the days of the government spending money in cash are long gone. We we that went out with the horse and buggy as far as the, the government is concerned. All they do is just make money out of thin air. Whenever they send out a check, it doesn't have to have a dollar bill with it in a bank somewhere anymore. That's just not the way they do things. They just go, oh, we need we need another trillion dollars. Alright? Clickety. Click. Click. Click. Click. There we go. We got another trillion dollars. Alright. Make some payments. And that's exactly what these computers were doing that Doge found. They just got money out of thin air. So it makes me wonder, if they can just make money out of thin air, create money remember, they're no longer printing it. Oh, they're print oh, the money that they print, that's for the peasants. That's for us peasants. That's that's not for them. That's not the way they spend it. But if they can make money out of thin air, it doesn't make you wonder why they need to tax us so much. Doesn't it? I mean, it's I mean, I I think I think we we we could have done without paying taxes and still been in just as big a fix as we are right now. But that's what they do. They just create money. They don't print it anymore. Like I said, that's for you, and they wanna get rid of yours as well. So a lot of people have been asking what's going on with Doge? What are they going to be doing? Well, we are now hearing that the White House because remember, everything that has been done since November the I'm sorry. Since January, when president Trump got inaugurated, starting that day, virtually everything that has been done has been Donald Trump by himself. Our congress has sent fewer bills to president Trump's desk than any other congress in the past seventy years. He's really had nothing to sign from congress. There's been no big, hoopah, no big hoorah from congress. Hey. Look. We passed this bill. Hey. Look. We passed that. But no. They virtually been silent, and this guy has been running the country practically by himself the whole time. Well, now he's gonna have to do it again. We're hearing that the White House is going to be sending Doge cut request to Congress next week. The White House sending these thin ...
So we got a text, of course, from 601. Right? 60 got a way in. It says, Charlie, why lie? Why are you lying, Charlie? As of late May twenty twenty five, president Donald Trump's approval rating among Hispanic voters has declined significantly since his reelection. Well, I got an idea, 601. Let's talk with Tony Delgado. He is the CEO of Latino Wall Street. And, Tony, welcome to the program. How are you? Hey. Thanks for having me on, my friend. Now 601, 1 of our texters says that support among the Hispanic community has declined dramatically since Trump took, was reelected. True or untrue? I mean, listen. There is a lot of propaganda, and there is, a lot of negative press that he's gotten, from the, left wing media around these deportations. Now it's interesting because a lot of Hispanics actually voted for him for deportation. Yeah. Right? We don't want illegal, immigrants. We definitely don't want criminals. You know? He ran on, getting the cartels and cleaning up our streets. Right? And, you know, we look at the numbers. Right? We have 55,000,000 Hispanic Americans who are US citizens, who came to this country legally, and who vote and pay their taxes, and came here for the American dream. Right? Yeah. And those people do not want cartel members coming in more than anyone else. Yeah. But at the same time, right, the left wing media has been scaring, all Latinos, Trump supporters, and, Democrats alike to think that Trump is just deporting everyone with brown skin. Yeah. And, unfortunately, the reality is that's not true. But until we can break through the noise, then, yeah, there is gonna be a lot of fear and uncertainty, in the Hispanic community. But when you look at that new that new poll that came out just in the past three weeks, Donald Trump's support among Hispanics has increased 22%. He's now up to almost 60% job approval rating from Hispanics. That is a dramatic increase in a very short amount of time. Right? Well, yeah. I mean, you look at, the cost of eggs. You look at the cost of gasoline. You look at, you know, inflation and the economy and even even the stock market, right, there was a bunch of fear and uncertainty around what tariffs were gonna do to the stock market, but turned around and the stock market rebounded, right, and had a and had a dip, but we're right back up, almost where we started. Yeah. So I think, you know, similar to all the lies that the Democrats have told over the past eight years about Donald Trump, once it is discovered that those lies are in fact propaganda, his, poll numbers, just like the stock market, are gonna go right back up where they're supposed to be. Yeah. We're talking with Tony Delgado, CEO of Latino Wall Street. Tony, if you strip away all the labels, Democrat, conservative, Democrat, Republican, liberal, conservative, and you just get down to the values of the average Hispanic family here in The United States. Very conservative people, aren't they? Absolutely. 75% of Hispanic Americans are Christian. Over 50% are Catholic. Very strict values. They align with the conservative, Christian values of the Republican party. Right? And that's a big reason why they lost the last election, historically with Hispanics and the right? They lost the popular vote Yeah. Because of these left wing, unpopular radical left policies, like having men in women's sports, having men in women's basketball American, whether they're Democrat, Republican, or independent. No American wants that for their children. Yeah. You are exactly right. But when you look at, I mean, the the family unit, I mean, that is that's something the Democrats, first of all, do not like. The liberals out there, they don't like the family unit, but family is a major thing with the Hispanic community, isn't it? Absolutely. I mean, Hispanics are family first. Right? We don't believe in abortion for the most part. We believe in having big families, strong families sticking together, working hard and and living ...
Alright. Now the Democrats, they're really trying everything they can to figure out how they can resonate with the American people. They spent are spending millions of dollars trying to find somebody out there that could be their version of Joe Rogan. Well, they're not gonna be able to do that. I I've just I've just tell you right now. That's that's not gonna happen. They've already tried that. They tried to find their version of Rush Limbaugh. They built an entire radio network out of that, and it failed miserably. So now they're saying now they've come along and they're saying, alright. Listen. We we gotta change the way we talk. We gotta change the way that that we talk to the American people. We talk like like leftist doctors. So we gotta change our now remember, they already tried something along this this line not long ago when they went dark woke. Well, they started dropping the f bomb all over the place, starting using profanity at every event. And for some reason, they thought that that was gonna resonate with the American people. That backfired horrendously. So now they're they're like, listen. We got we gotta change the words we use. That's not gonna work either. You see, it's not the fact that they don't have a Joe Rogan. It's not the fact that they they they use profanity. It's not the fact that they're now gonna stop using profanity. It's not the fact that they're gonna change the words that they use. It's the policies they simply do not understand. None of that matters to the American people. None of it. It's what do you do when you get elected. Just like the the the mayor of Seattle calling that Christian concert a, what was it about? Fascist right wing concert. Oh, I'm sorry. A fascist right wing family values concert. You see, that's what the American people, they sit back and they go, wait a minute. Hold on. What is, what is fascist about family values exactly? Could you explain that to us? Mayor Harold of Seattle, could you explain that how how family value you see, they don't get it. They truly don't get it. They can't understand it. And what they really can't understand is the fact that Donald Trump keeps gaining in popularity by some pretty big numbers. Let's just go I just haven't done this in a couple of days. Let's go look at real clear politics, real quick and see exactly how people feel. Well, when you take a look at president Trump's job approval, 53% approve of the job that president Trump is doing. 53%. More and more people every single day believe that this country is now headed in the right direction. That's amazing. But surely there's gotta be some demographic out there, some demographic out there that, where where president Trump isn't doing all that well. I know what it is. I know the demographic. Surely, with all this talk about immigration, all of this talk about deportation, all of this talk about the borders, surely, president Trump has gotta be hurting in the Hispanic community. No. Actually, quite the opposite, and I mean big time, the opposite. This is from MSN. Despite frequently facing criticism for hard line immigration policies that target, target migrants from countries in Latin America, Trump has recently main made significant gains of favorability among Hispanic Americans. Hispanic voters were one of the key groups who proved important in securing Trump's win in November. The demographic was generally lean Democrat, but Trump increased his share of Hispanic votes from 16% in 2016 to 42% in 2024. That was huge. That was big, but hold on to your britches because it gets even bigger. According to an insider advantage poll, 59.6% of Hispanics approve of president Trump's job performance. If you're rounding up slightly, that is 60% of Hispanics. Sixty percent. That is oh, by the way, that's a 22 increase from an earlier poll back on a just in the past within the past month, April 30 through May 1, they did that poll. In this poll, it's increased 22% among Hispanics. ...

And welcome to the program. I I gotta start out the program by telling you that we are having some, major technical issues right now in the studio. And I'll be honest with you, I can't even hear myself talking right now, so I'm just going to, assume that we are we're on the air right now. So, you guys let me know over on the text line how everything sounds. We are we are also streaming. Let me know on the stream how everything sounds because, right now, it sounds like I am speaking through a microphone that is immersed in a bag of cornflakes, and somebody is crunching them. So I have I have no idea how things sound right now. But, hopefully, we'll get this thing straightened out soon because, an entire show like this is gonna be, well, challenging to say the least. But welcome to the program. Hope you're having a great Wednesday. I'd I can't wait to talk to you guys today, if I'm even able to talk to you guys today. But let's give it an old try on the, the PhD weight loss talk line at 809050989, and we'll see what happens with that. So, there was a a story that came out today. And and this may or may not surprise you. Somebody says, somebody says we sound clear out there. So good. I'm I'm glad of that. I just wish I sounded clear in my own head here. The South Carolina legal community you know what I'm gonna do? I'm gonna take off my headphones real quick, and maybe maybe then. That's better. The South Carolina legal community has united listen to this. South Carolina legal community has united against federal deportation tactics in an open letter. Over 230 South Carolina lawyers and former judges are working to raise awareness and speak out against the federal government's ongoing deportation efforts. In a letter, the law use, lawyers argue that removal of people from The US to a foreign prison without a chance to contest the action in court is a threat to the country's most basics, basic freedoms. Now here's the thing. Most of these people that have been deported and are scheduled to be deported have already had their day in court. That's already happened. They've had all of this has happened, and the judge has decided, and the the courts have decided that you have to leave this country now. You've got your deportation orders. Some of the signers, of the open letter include South Carolina Supreme Court Justice John Waller Junior, retired SC Circuit Judges Gary Clark, Gary Clary, rather, Brooks Goldsmith, Reginald Lloyd, and Charles w Whetstone. They say we have rejected the proposition that our government can defy the courts and refuse to correct its errors by citing the extraterritorial status of the person unlawfully removed. If the governor if the government's actions stand, it is and this is where they get ridiculous. If the government's actions stand, it is only a matter of time before it uses rendition tactics to remove US citizens to a foreign prison. So these these legislators here in South Carolina, they're trying to claim now that the Trump administration, if they follow along this path, will very soon not just be deporting illegal immigrants to foreign prisons, they will be deporting US citizens. US citizens as well. BS. What a load of bunk. What an absolute load of bunk coming from some, former members of the legislate well, not really legislators, but justices and lawyers here in South Carolina. What a boatload of BS. Nobody in the Trump administration is going, you know, it's a pretty good oh, you know what we need to do. Now if we don't like somebody you see, they are conflating what the Biden administration did in going after political prisoners with what, what what the Trump administration is doing. And what the Trump administration is doing is trying to remove illegal immigrants from our country. Pretty amazing. Right? So I I just I it it's so ridiculous. Now why would lawyers sign on to an open letter like this? Anybody got any idea? I got a real good idea. I got a great idea. Because they m ...

Well, in usual fashion, the, folks in the state legislature, well, they found some money, little over a billion and a half dollars, and, looks like they spent it. Joining us right now, representative Sarita Edgerton. Sarita, welcome to the program. How are you? I'm fine, Charlie. Thank you. How are you? I'm good. The house passed the budget today. What was, some of the sticking points there? The house and the senate And the senate. Yeah. Passed it today. Mhmm. The senate voted I think all but five voted, voted for it. So for me, I had said if there's any money going to planned parenthood in it, I would not vote for the budget. That was my main sticking point. Right. Not 1¢. And since it's still part of our public employees benefits, the PEBA, that is still in there until Trump and, maybe eradicates it from Medicaid through the this big beautiful bill thing that they've been they were talking about up there in Washington. So that was my main sticking point, and that's what I had said when I campaigned that I would not vote for it as long as that was in there. But there were other things like, $13,200,000 for a Green New Deal battery center building for the University of South Carolina to study batteries for Wow. Electric vehicles. Okay. $18,000,000 for MUSC to build a walkway over a highway, which comes out to, like, $350 a foot. Good night. Yes. $4,000,000 more in our tax dollars going to Hollywood subsidy Hollywood film, people to subsidize the film, companies of of Woke Hollywood. That's on top of what we already give them. Right. So there were some other things. The, human the human affairs, agency is getting two more full time employees at the tune of $87,000 a year and eight Oh. $80,000 a year. Those are two full time employees. So those are some sticking points. But the the main sticking point from most of my constituents is the, of course, perceived pay raise, which, everybody knows, which was in there. And so it passed today, both the house and the senate. It's pretty unbelievable. Just take a look at the, the vote board here. Was that, 88 yes, 25 no's? Correct. Which is the most that's ever voted against the budget. Wow. Well, making headway there. Still got a long way to go. But but what gets me is I I will promise you that just about everybody that voted for this also campaigned on, defunding planned parenthood. Right? Oh, a lot of people. Yeah. You know, there are people on that green in the green that that did not vote for that. But a a lot of conservatives, for sure, want to defund Planned Parenthood, but that's in this budget. It's it is pretty amazing. But and and the big question is, how do we keep spending like this and cut taxes? Well, that's a very good question because the, the budget advisory committee, the BEA is what we I can't remember what what it actually stands for. But, the they found this 1 and a half billion dollar not found. They estimated Yeah. That there will be an actual 1 and a half billion dollar surplus next year. But to me, that's not the state's money. As far as I can tell, the state does not manufacture or produce any goods that they can sell to make money. The state only has tax dollars that come from tax paying citizens. And so that money that they found, quote, unquote, to spend is not state's money. It's the taxpayers' money. And now while one of the committee members said, well, we didn't spend all of it. Yeah. They still spent $600,000,000 of it. Right. And, we're we're estimating they said no pork, but there's gonna be pork in this from different agencies. Sure. It's just all hidden in there. It's just it's just it's insane what goes on down here in Columbia. When you were basically dressed down, was it Mike Kaski that that dressed you down about nobody really reads these bills in Columbia? Yes, sir. Have your has that really opened your eyes about how that organization is run? Yes, sir. There have been several times when people have come running down the aisle ...
David Hogg was caught in a videotape undercover videotape or audiotape rather by the folks at Project Veritas where he claims claims and now listen. We all know that there is no way that Joe Biden had the mental or physical capacity to be serving as president of The United States in at least the last two years of his administration. And and like a lot of people are saying and even even Jake Tapper said, this is bigger than Watergate. It is bigger than Watergate. It needs a Watergate style commission to find out exactly who was in charge because we know it wasn't Joe. We know it wasn't Joe Biden. We also need to look into the auto pen. Now I've and I've said this before, and I I think this should be the law that if a president because we understand that the auto pin needs to be used sometime. Maybe the president is on Air Force One. He's flying overseas. Maybe the president is overseas, and and something needs to be signed. So the president, whomever it is, Bush, Obama, Clinton, Trump, they need to use the auto pen. So they use the auto pen. At the first opportunity, the president needs to now first of all, it should always there should always be a disclaimer. This was signed with the auto pen. And at the first available opportunity, the president should actually affix his signature to that document. So there will be two signatures on it. There will be, the auto pin signature, and there will be the president's actual signature in person actual signature. That should be the law of the land because and then there should be some sort of a, a time limit that this has to be signed within thirty days of the auto pen for it actually to be, continue to be relevant or authentic. So within thirty nine thirty days, the president shows up, signs the bill. Alright. Now everything is good. Authorizing the use of the auto pen. Okay? So but who was signing it during the Biden administration? Well, David Saggs, has a pretty darn good idea. He was president Trump's cryptocurrency czar type fella. Listen to what he said, if it'll play. This is the financial system of the future, Jesse, and we have to encourage it. What the Biden administration was doing and let's face it. It wasn't Biden. Elizabeth Warren controlled the auto pen during that administration. She, for some reason, has this pathological hatred of the crypto community. She wants to drive this community offshore. She doesn't want it happening in The United States. That's the wrong policy for United States. We want all the innovation happening here. This Elizabeth Warren Focahontas was in charge of the auto pen? Wait. What by hold on. Wait a minute. By what authority? Somebody show me in the constitution where a a senator can be in charge of the auto pen. Somebody can somebody find that out for me real quick? I would love to know that. Would love to know that. There needs to be a huge investigation because this country was in a perilous position during those at least, like I said, at least those last two years. And we need to go back and look at every single thing that was signed with the auto pen to make sure it was authentic. All of those pardons, all of those executive orders, all of those regulations need to be poured over to my but you know what? There's some people out there that don't want investigations. They don't want investigations at all. And one of those people out there that doesn't want investigations is one, Jim Comey. Now what did he used to do? Jim Comey used to be the, the director of the, oh my goodness. What was it called? It was, it's a three letter oh, the FBI. The Federal Bureau of, what is it, investigation. The Federal Bureau of Investigation. Well, he was on with Wolf Blitzer, and listen to what he had to say. Something supported by a lot of conservatives out there. What do you make of this? It's a little confusing to me, honestly. I'm sure it's a huge adjustment to go from being a podcaster to being the deputy director of the FBI, but I don't ...

Hey, Charlie. Let's talk. Stop you, man. It's the right talk. Charlie. Welcome. This is the Charlie James Show. Now we're talking. News talk 989. W o r d. The voice at The Carolinas. Now special guest host Heidi Harris. Good afternoon. It was a privilege sitting in for Charlie, hanging out with y'all. By the way, the PHD weight loss talk line and the WORD common sense retirement planning text line are the same number. So please put this in your phone. Put it in your phone number, WORD. Put it under that. Put it under Charlie, Tara, you know, whatever. Bill Frady, whatever you wanna do. But be sure you have it in your phone handy. So if I say something you find intriguing and wanna comment on, you can do that. 809050989. That's 809050989. I I'm gonna talk about the coast guard for a minute because it is Memorial Day, and we are grateful for everyone's sacrifice, all those who've given, you know, the ultimate for our freedom and those who continue to sacrifice on behalf of the rest of us. And when you think of how many people are in military, it's a very, very small percentage of people versus, you know, those who benefit from their sacrifice and their continued vigilance. This is crazy. Alright. This happened in a construction site of all you know, you hear about the coast guard. Right? You think about coast guard helping people in the water and whatnot. Okay? But this is nuts. So what happened was there was a construction site. Some folks were guys were working on the in the Pacific Northwest on a tank, like, putting together a tank, a roof of a tank. I mean, tank like a water tank or something. Okay? An industrial water tank. And when they were working on the tank, the roof collapsed of the structure. And the coast guard heard about it, and the coast guard had a chopper ready to go, went over there. And they found that two of the guys were ready were really badly hurt. Well and one of them was lying in a pool of fast drying concrete. Alright. So picture this if you will. The opening I'm a do the best I can on the radio with this. Okay? The opening of this tower building, whatever they were working on, was only about 30 feet wide, and rebar was sticking out everywhere after the roof collapsed on these four workers. K? Unbelievable. Chief Benjamin Brown told Task and Purpose, the workers had been pouring concrete on the roof before collapse, so the ground was under knee was uncured concrete. The consistency was just like mud when we initially got down there, and then it started to cure and get a little harder. Can you imagine that? Being surrounded by concrete? So they they have the rescue swimmers in this tank with concrete. With what concrete? God bless these guys. I mean, really. And then, of course, they have to package them up to get them on the hoist, thing, whatever that that thing is. The don't make fun of me. You know, when they lift them out, they're on a stretcher or something that resembles a stretcher. Go ahead and make fun of me. It's alright. That's incredible. And it took these guys hours to do this. Hours. Crazy. This is in a place called Tahoe, Washington. When they got there initially, they, learned that the fire department had no way to reach the guys inside the tank, so they dropped these swimmers down crazy. So, anyway, God bless. Everybody's safe. God bless these guys. I love watching those videos online of, the coast guard. I mean, they just jump in these rescue swimmers. I mean, I I don't know about you guys. I can swim across the pool, but remember one time I went to one of those water parks, and I, was with my brother. And you get out on the wave pool, you know, and it starts to get a little bit higher and a little bit rougher in the wave pool, and I was on a raft. And I thought, oh, I can swim over to the ladder. It's, you know, 15 feet away. So I get off my raft and I swim over to the ladder. And right when I get on the ladder, I get hit with a wave. Boom. Knocks me to the groun ...
Hey, Charlie. Let's talk. It's the right talk. Charlie. Welcome. This is the Charlie James Show. Now we're talking. News talk ninety eight nine. Double the warranty. The voice of The Carolinas. Please welcome special guest host, Heidi Harris. Good afternoon. Always a privilege sending in for Charlie. So appreciate you guys joining. It's Memorial Day. JJ's running the board where I'm echoing back into my ears just to make it complicated. Listen. Can I just be honest here? I couldn't run a board. I ran one when I first started in 1998. Can you believe it? I ran the board then, but I couldn't do it. I couldn't do it today. Too many things to push. Back when I started, you actually used carts, so they called them. Look like eight tracks, and you'd put them in the thing. Not sense that if I've done it. Anyway, I'm glad to have you here today with me. And I'm sorry. I'm trying to avoid coughing because I've had an allergy situation. I'm not sick, but I've had allergies this year just kill me. You know that little cough that you get just in the top of your throat? It's not coming out of your lungs. It's just right there at the top of your throat. I gotta tell you guys a funny story, and I hope it doesn't sound weird, but it's kinda funny, actually. It reminds me of this situation. First of all, let me say hello to JJ. How are you, buddy? I'm good. How are you? Happy, weekend. I am good. Yeah. We're gonna talk about Memorial Day here in a second. It's very, obviously, a very solemn day for lots of people. I will get to that in a moment for our nation, obviously, too. But many years ago, my family and I were on Family Feud. You ever seen Family Feud, JJ? Yes. Which version with Steve Harvey? With This is I love Steve Harvey, but this is long before Steve Harvey. This was a guy named Ray Combs. Yes. The original. Relaunched it. Right. Well, after Richard Dawson, who was the original, after Richard Dawson, they relaunched it in 1988 with a guy by the name of Ray Combs. I remember that era. Yes. So long story short, I said to my family one day sitting in my aunt's house in California, hey. They're gonna start Family Feud up again. We should do it. And my family said, are you kidding? And I said, no. We really we should do this. So long story short, when I applied, because I didn't live in California, they don't really want you if you don't live there, because they don't want you going through all the expense to fly there and then not win. But when my aunt applied, then I had to fly it out of California, and, we went through the audition process. We got on the show. Okay. So the night before the show because my mom and her aunt my aunts had been singers and all that. They're all real pretty and stuff, so I knew that wasn't gonna be hard. But once I get you on the show, the night before the show, I'm getting that cough like I'm getting right now. Just that little annoying, that kind of thing. The allergy cough. Yes. So I go out in the middle of the night. See what I'm saying? I'm sorry, guys. I go out in the middle of the night, and this is Los Angeles. And, you know, there aren't a lot of things open, at least not in neighborhood where we were at that hour of the night. I went out in the middle of the night, found some drugstore, got some cough medicine, and I drink pretty much the whole bottle over the course of a few hours because what I didn't want to do was get to the show and have them kick the whole family off or not put us because what they do is they have several families in the audience. Okay? So they're doing a show. They have family one, family two. Well, then they have family three, four, and five in the audience waiting because in case, you know, somebody gets sick in your family or something happens, then they have alternate families to go and play the next game. Plus, they don't know how quickly they're gonna turn it over. In other words, you might have new people, you know, two new families, somebody l ...

And welcome to the program. So what is the status of the big beautiful bill? Let's talk with representative William Timmons who's on with us right now. Representative Timmons, welcome to the program. Charlie, good afternoon. Great to be with you. We had a a a a very long meeting with the president this morning. It had to be almost two hours. And Yeah. You know, he told everybody to cut it out. We gotta get this done. It's it it is critical to the the future of our country, and he has asked, the the the moderate members that are demanding changes to the state and local tax deductions to to accept the the current deal, which is an increase from 10 to $30,000. And you've asked the the advocate to change additional, components of Medicaid to cut it out and to accept the deal, take a half a loss, and, we can come back for the rest later. This is not the end of us, making important changes to our tax code and to our health care system. It's the beginning. So I I had a feeling that these people are gonna listen to them, and, we'll see what happens over the next twenty four hours. Now from what we heard, the meeting this morning was, but I know we had a little bit of excitement. Right? I mean, everybody, it was energetic, should we say. It absolutely was. And, you know, he's excited. And the the the changes that we're making are so critically important to the future of our country. Just I mean, it's hard to even talk about all the all the things and get and just list them all out. I mean, the border security is such a huge one, and we're gonna be able to address a lot of deregulation and and permitting reform. We're gonna extend the tax cuts, from 2017, and we're gonna no tax on tips. No no tax on overtime. I mean, the list just keeps going on and on. So we have to do this. Is it perfect? No. Are there things that I would change? Yes. That's not how this works. You you don't get to you don't get to let the perfect be the enemy of the good. We gotta move the ball forward. It's gonna be, a big win. One of the big questions that a lot of people had was where are the spending cuts? They seem to be, missing somewhat in the big beautiful bill. Was there a lot of discussion about that? So there there was, but, you know, you gotta think. The the we're cutting out waste, fraud, abuse, and Medicaid, and that's gonna pay, for an enormous percentage of it. There's just a lot of people that are getting benefits that are not entitled to them. Right. And, you know, you you can say that that that Republicans are cutting Medicaid. Well, yeah, we're cutting it from people that don't deserve it, like illegal immigrants that are criminal criminals here. We're cutting it from people that are not eligible because they make too much money. So, I mean, yeah, I mean, we're seeking out the waste, fraud, and abuse, and this is just the beginning. I have a number of bills that will further, streamline delivering government social safety nets to people that actually need them as opposed to people that are abusing the system. We got an organized crime that is is is fleecing the government for billions of dollars because our systems are so antiquated. We're gonna we're gonna tackle all this stuff. So, I mean, when because now it's either gonna live or die on the floor of the house. When is the vote gonna happen? So 1AM, tomorrow morning or, you know, tonight, however you wanna get it, the rules committee is gonna meet. And so there's two people that have been scuffed six. Our our good buddies in the fifth, Ralph Norman and Shiproy, from Texas. And so the the two of them are on the rules committee. That'll be a big hurdle to overcome. I mean, I don't I wouldn't cross the president if I was them, but I'm not them. So Yeah. The the net, assuming assuming that we get that passed and there's likely to be what's called a manager's amendment. So there will be some some changes to the bill at at 1AM. And assuming it gets out of the the House Rules Committe ...
And and welcome to the program on your Monday afternoon. So glad to join us. Hope you guys had a fantastic weekend. I know I did. But we did get that news this weekend. And, folks, let me tell you, we're gonna talk about this today. Because what we're seeing with with with the previous administration And the people that were in charge, we have said for a long time that this was nothing more what they were doing to Joe Biden than elder abuse. That's what we've been saying for a long time. We knew that he was on the the the decline cognitive cognitive cognitively. We knew that he wasn't making right decisions. We knew that there was something seriously wrong with this man. A lot of people were saying, what was the a lot of people saying he had Parkinson's and and things like that. But there was something else that is quite obvious that they were hiding from us. And I just find it a little too convenient, too convenient that within forty eight hours of some of those her tapes being released, the ones that show that Joe Biden was in serious cognitive decline. Within forty eight hours of those things being released, all of a sudden, they come out with this diagnosis and finally reveal it to the American people and to the world. That's just a little too convenient for me. So you got all of these books beer that are being written in including, Jake Tapper's book, original sin, that talked about Joe Biden's decline. Then you got the her tapes, and then the folks in in in in the Democrat machine, they decided, well, we gotta do some sort of damage control here. We gotta take people's minds off of the cognitive decline, and let's go ahead and release the report. Let's go ahead and do that. I've seen I've seen urologist after urologist online talk about this is not something. You don't just go from completely healthy to stage four prostate cancer, especially if you are the vice president and the president of The United States. Right? It just doesn't happen. Those physicals are given to the president for a reason. I want you to listen to what this, one doctor said over there on, morning. Well well well, hold on. Before we get to that, let's not forget that Joe Biden hinted at this back in 2022. And because it was a four lane highway that was accessible, my mother drove us and rather than us be able to walk. And guess what? The first frost, you know what was happening. You had to put on your windshield wipers to get literally the oil slick off the window. That's why I and so damn many other people I grew up have cancer. That's why I and so many other people I have grown I've grown up with have cancer. He said that. And then you've got his brother, Jim Biden. Jim Biden Now the way that the, mainstream media and the White House kinda covered up that little slip up from Joe Biden was, oh, no. No. Oh, no. He's not refer no. It's nothing major. He just had a little skin cancer. Yeah. That that that's that's all he was talking about. Just a little bit of skin cancer. Well, then his brother, Jim Biden, comes along, and Jim says, hey. Joe's a great guy. I love Joe. I love my brother, and, man, we just gotta enjoy him as long as as we've got him. Really? Well, you know how CBS News covered that up? They accused Jim Biden of being an alcoholic. So you have to sit back and go, wow. They really have been covering this stuff up for a long time. Overall, Morning Joe, they talked about it. To, run for for president for another four years. Obviously, the PSA exam is not a % accurate, and I've never met a doctor that doesn't say you needed to do the PSA exam and also have the physical exam as well. I just find it hard to believe that any White House physician wouldn't say, okay. Well, what my doctor, what every other doctor says, which is, okay. We we've done the PSA test, and that's fine. But at least once a year, we we need to do a physical exam. Again, if you're just talking about a 78 year old guy that, is is not running the free world ...
Pledge allegiance to the flag of The United States Of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Oh, beautiful for spacious skies, for amber waves of grain, for purple purple mountain majesties above the fruit America is back. And welcome back to the program. Please join us in welcoming, attorney general Alan Wilson. Attorney general Wilson, how are you, sir? Wait a minute. There you are. I'm doing well. How are you? I'm doing absolutely fantastic. Boy, I tell you what, you guys have been pretty busy in the AG's office. Is there ever do you guys ever take a break? No. We're always on. You get you're getting your tax dollars out of me, Charlie. Absolutely. You you guys sent me an email, a text about this. I I had no idea. Boy, I tell you what, these these drug traffickers, they're getting really tech savvy out there. There's a Chinese Fentanyl app. It's called WeChat. Yeah. WeChat is basically if if signal and Venmo and Instagram all got put in the blender, and that would be the new app. It's basically a peer to peer app that you can transfer money on and do social media post on. And, basically, Mexican drug cartels and Chinese money launderers and other illicit actors are using it to transfer money and basically launder money for illicit drug trafficking purposes. And it's a Chinese owned app. The Chinese it's a Chinese company. And so this is an app that is being, circ used to circumvent the law. Charlie, you know, president Trump has done an excellent job of shutting down the physical border of this country, but we have a digital border that bad guys are stuck trying to get around right now, and WeChat is one of those digital borders they're using. So, I mean, what would because I know, I'd be you your office and the AG over there, up there in North Carolina, you guys work together. What has been the headway that you've made against people using this app? So we're still in the beginning of this, but, basically, this is a bipartisan effort. Obviously, he's a Democrat. I'm a Republican, but we have a bipartisan letter that he and I led from AGs around the country. Basically, we sent it to WeChat. And, basically, we're asking WeChat, we know that peep that bad guys are using your platform to transfer and launder money. We wanna know what you know and when did you know it, and what are you gonna do about it. And we're waiting on them to respond to us in the next thirty days. Otherwise, we're gonna pursue potential legal courses of action. I can't go into it right now. Right. But this is I mean, the fentanyl crisis in this country is off the charts. President Trump has done an incredible job of shutting down the borders, and we're bailing out all of the water out of the proverbial boat that is America. But there is so much bad stuff that is here. Illegal aliens, drugs, gang members, Mexican cartel trafficking is going on in our state. Enough is enough, and that's why we're going after them. You're exactly right. And that brings up the case of Larisha Thompson murdered by, well, murdered, six illegal aliens, in in, Lancaster. And it's just a horrible case, a horrible story. What can we do about illegal aliens and gang activity here in South Carolina? Well, first off, I've a couple of weeks ago, I was doing a ride along with a law enforcement agency till 01:30 in the morning. They were doing sting operations with illegal aliens that were members of Trende Arago, which is a violent Venezuelan gang. Mhmm. And I was able to watch, you know, law enforcement, you know, do amazing work. When everyone else is sleeping, they were out there as the tip of the spear. What I can tell you about law enforcement right now is we are working to get all of our local sheriffs and police chiefs that can be a member of the two eighty seven g program, which is a federal program that is that allows local law enforcement to basically be deputized ICE officers. Durin ...
And welcome to the program on your Friday afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. Getting ready for the weekend. Man, I'd tell you what. Oh, boy. I got a big weekend planned. Yeah. Tomorrow, I'm, I don't like to brag, but, I'm going to the dump. I know. I but, hey. I know. I get it. A lot of people wish they could go to the dump, but I'm doing it. Take some yard waste to the dump, to first thing tomorrow morning. Yeah. Lots of yard work getting because, I mean, it is we've had such a wet spring so far. What what did they say? April showers bring May flowers? Looks like April showers bring May showers. That's what we've got right now. So, time to catch up on a little yard work this weekend, get everything looking good around the house. Maybe watch a little bit of the PGA championship on the T. We. But, looking forward to the weekend, absolutely. By the way, speaking of television, did you see the way that Donald Trump arrived in Qatar? Did you see that? Holy if there I have never seen anything more majestic than Air Force One flying into Qatar surrounded by United States military fighter jets in formation. It was so unbelievably impressive. Oh my goodness. I I just I I I I bet I watched that that it was a very short clip. I bet I bet I watched it 20 times. It was just that impressive. I mean, absolutely amazing. Now remember, these are the same people that were going, Charlie, Trump is gonna embarrass us all throughout the world. It's, nobody's gonna respect us. Hello? Respect? Did you see the way he was he was greeted and Saudi? Did you see him being escorted by those Arabian stallions? Did you see the oh, man. It was fantastic. This guy has got more respect now on the world stage than Joe Biden ever had, ever. He didn't even come close, not even a little bitty bit. So, I mean, pretty darn cool. It really, really was. But that's but not the oh, oh, no. Trump's not gonna be well, oh, oh, Trump. And even also Hillary Clinton. This is kinda funny. Hillary Clinton made some comment the other day about that, the jet from Qatar. Basically, the replacement jet for Air Force One from Qatar, the flying palace, the palace with wings. And she was like, well, you know, if if you get you know, if you receive this kind of a gift from a foreign nation, I'm pretty sure there's some quid pro quo going on. And then people started pointing out the guess who took a whole bunch of money from Qatar. Did anybody guess? The Clinton Foundation. The Clinton Foundation took a whole bunch of money from Qatar. Not only that, the Clinton Foundation took a whole bunch of money from countries all over the planet, including Russia. How much did Hillary Clinton get to speak in Moscow? It was a lot of money. It was a great deal of money. So a lot of people pointed back. Sometimes, some my my grandfather always used to tell me. He said, boy, never miss a good opportunity to shut up. And Hillary Clinton missed that opportunity. So there you go. It's got a Bruce in Simpsonville and talked to him. Bruce, welcome to the program. How are you doing, my friend? I'm doing alright. Yeah. Which dump you planning on going to? You know the one by the Mesa Soccer Fields? Yes. Okay. That's gonna be. Yeah. It's okay, if that's close to you. I'm it used to be close to me when I lived on 14, but I'm not off Fairview. Okay. So I go to Hips Road. So but I tore down my deck, and I went to Hips. And he measured it. He said I had five yards. You you're only allowed to do three yards a day. Yeah. Right. So I said, oh, okay. So I'll just unload half, and I'll bring the other half to the box. No. I didn't do it like that. So you need to go down to Twin Chimneys. Oh. The next day I go down next day I go down to Twin Chimneys, and it cost me $20 for me to dump my bag boards. Yeah. I I just when they start charging it was last year they enacted something, but, you know, if you got a certain amount or whatever, they're gonna charge you. So Yeah. They they you're right about ...
Alright. Here we go. 06:00 hour. Let's go to Chuck in Mills River and talk to him. What's going on, my man? Oh, wheels track. That brings I'd forgotten all about that, man. Those things were lethal. I got dude, I got whooped so many times, but not as many as I should have. Yeah. I I the the the one that terrified us all, I think, more than anything was go pick your own switch. Yeah. And you Penny's like, you better not bring back no punny little thing. Yeah. Might have had that. Pick it, and I see dad coming back with a club from the woods. You know? Pick those leaves and those little small branches off going, oh, man. It's a But but, yeah, that was a disturbing that was a disturbing thing you played earlier. And and, yeah, I I I gotta agree, man. These kids today, if I could get they asked you, if you could go back in time and kill one person, who would it be? Doctor Spock, because that was that was the beginning of the end right there. Yeah. There's a difference, like your one caller said earlier. There's a difference between discipline and and violence. Yeah. And it's just there's a difference, man. Yeah. I I made my son go sit in his bedroom for a bit. You think about what you've done. Right. You know, and I use that voice, you know, and he's like but, the the issue, I think, we got you know, you were talking about single moms. I I you know, we've all we all know them, and we there's no getting around it. And, yes, plenty of good kids come from single parent families. But think about how much better those kids could have been possibly. And, yes, the big argument is, oh, well, you know, Father's Day beat their kids and stuff like that. Right. You know? But that's the the whole I don't need no man, you don't seem complaining about uncle Sam, do you? Right. Exactly. Take away their WIC. You take away you take away their Medicaid. You take away no. No. You do it all by your no. If you don't do it, they say, oh, I did it all by myself. No. Hell, you didn't. Right. You did not, and that's what ticks me off. And until I think, like you say, Gen x or Gen z rather coming up, I think maybe they're learning a lesson. I mean, my son is in there with his girlfriend in the house right now. I'm sitting out in the yard. I ain't got a problem with it. They're not doing anything stupid because they know. They're they're no. They're both they they've come up under they've they've seen what happens. Yeah. They've they know what happens. They've got friends that have screwed up. Right. And they're teenagers, man. And I've lived in the hood. I've seen these these women I've seen a single mom could be one of the most violent people towards kids in the world, man. You'd see these women in Walmart beating the crap out of their kids. But, again, I just I cannot stress enough how young men need to treat young ladies with respect. Right. They need to respect their body. They need to respect their mind. And here's the thing though, Chuck. The young ladies need to respect themselves. I that was where I was going next. Dude, you're mind reader. You got your hero cards out, Charlie. That's right. But that's I I I really think that that you're the more we talk about it, the more it's gonna come to light and the more people are starting to listen. We all know we all know single moms, and the last thing you wanna do is tick off a a single mom, tell her, you know, and that's nobody wants that. Nobody wants to hear that because but but to let the kids know to be there for them, I've been I've I've I've been a father figure to a lot of kids in my life. Mhmm. And for some reason, kids just, you know, I like riding bikes. I like hot wheels and stuff like that. Speaking of hot wheels tracks. And and just try to for for those kids that need someone, a a a male role model, and I'm not necessarily the best there is. But I'm telling you, be as be as good a man as you know how to be around these kids that have no father because they don't they don ...
Hour 1, Segment 1 : The Charlie James Show - (3:00pm) - Thursday May 15th, 2025 full And welcome to the program on this Thursday afternoon as everybody's getting ready for the weekend. I know you are. I am my own self. Boy, I tell you what, lot better day today, man. It is we have had such a wet, spring out there. Unbelievable how much rain we've had, but at least this night's out there, momentarily. But this is the time of year we always get those, afternoon and evening thunderstorms and things like that. So, okay. I wanted let's just jump back in the way back machine for a minute, just for a minute, and go back to a pivotal moment or what would become a pivotal moment in American history. It was one can you believe it? It was one year ago today one year ago today that Joe Biden and his campaign decided that they needed to release a video. They were gonna release a video, y'all. And, boy, I'd say what a oh, they got this, and I'm pretty sure they took them, like, thirty, forty takes to get it right because it was Joe. But they needed it they needed to be authoritative. They needed it to be tough because everybody said Joe Biden wasn't tough, and Joe Biden likes to pretend he's a tough guy. He's a fake tough guy. So they released this video. And what did the video say? Oh, boy. Here we go. Wait a minute. Where is it? Hold on. Hold on. Here it's here it is. You don't wanna miss this. Here we go. Donald Trump lost two debates to me in 2020. It said that he hadn't shown up for debate. Now he's acting like he wants to debate me again. Well, make my day, pal. I'll even do it twice. So let's pick the dates, Donald. I hear you're free on Wednesdays. Donald Trump And what happened? Yeah. They did the debate, and that was the end. That was the end of Joe Biden. That was the literally, that night, as we all gathered to there together at at Willy Taco and we watched that debate, that was the end. We didn't we didn't even we didn't even realize that we were all excited. We didn't even realize what was gonna happen on that night. We got together. We're reading. We were excited. We knew it was gonna be good. And then that debate happened, and we all sat there with our mouths open going, oh, my word. This is the worst thing we've ever seen. It was we're literally watching a slow motion train wreck happen on in front of the world. In front of the world. We had known all of us have been saying, you know, Joe Biden's got mental decline. Joe Biden's cognitive abilities are slipping. Joe Biden is just he's he's not he's missing a couple of steps. But everybody in the mainstream, he was like, oh, no. He's sharp as a tack. Everything is great. I've never seen him better. This version of even, morning Joe, this version of Joe Biden, Joe Biden two point o. This is the, oh, this is the best he's ever been. He's just amazing. And then that night happened, that debate, we knew we were right. We knew we were right, and Joe Biden proved it. Donald Trump didn't have to do Donald Trump practically didn't have to do anything in that debate. It was one great line, where where where Trump says, I I don't know what he's saying. I don't I don't think he does either. And everybody's like, wow. Yes. It was an absolute slaughter. It was such a slaughter that when Donald Trump debated Kamala Harris, it was three against one. You had the two moderators and Kamala Harris. All three of them were debating Donald Trump. That's how bad the Joe Biden debate went. They had to triple team Trump in the Harris debate. It was unbelievable. But now now we find out that everything that they well, everything that we believed, they knew. They knew all of this was happening. That new book by by Jake Tapper, who, by the way, was one of the people that defended Joe Biden. Laura Trump made some accusations on his show over on CNN. He said, oh, you don't have any evidence of of cognitive decline. Yeah. Yeah. And then we find out that everybody had evidence of cognitive decline. Even in in that book with Jake Tapper called original sin, Even the Whit ... 500 Thu, 15 May 2025 19:18:00 +0000 UxIiFCBjDNSe32HKafp5bXGJuqjPkQFh news The Charlie James Show Podcast news Hour 1, Segment 1 : The Charlie James Show - (3:00pm) - Thursday May 15th, 2025 The Charlie James Show originates from News/Talk 989 WORD, The Upstate's #1 Talk Station, weekdays 3-7pm. Supreme Court looking into birthright citizenship. This might not be ruled on until June, which is gonna be here before you know it exactly. But all of these Democrats, they're if you wanna find out what a constitutional amendment really means, the best way to do that is go and look at the at what the people that wrote it said about it. In this case, it's senator Jacob Howard. He was one of the people that authored the fourteenth amendment back in 1866. And this is one of those topics that everybody on the left that they love, oh, we go we're gonna change hundreds of years of law and blah blah blah blah blah. But we're not. What has actually happened was the Democrats have used the fourteenth amendment incorrectly for this amount of time. When you go back and you ex look exactly what Jacob Howard said about the fourteenth amendment, I don't think he stuttered on this thing. Not at all. Let's go right now to Deese, Kalen. He is with the, Washington Examiner. Deese Kalen Deese, Kalen, how are you? Hi. Thanks for having me on. Great to be with you. Alright. So all of this really goes back to senator Jacob Howard, one of the authors of the fourteenth amendment. What do you think the Supreme Court really wants to hear about during these arguments? So the Supreme Court today was very much interested in hearing more about the arguments of bringing, more of a, regulation to nationwide injunctions rather than the fourteenth amendment itself. Mhmm. And I think that that was sort of the issue today is that it was a very double barreled, court case. There was that temptation to talk about the origins of the fourteenth amendment and whether it confers the right to birthright citizenship. But at the same time, that wasn't really the task at hand. And I think that that was something that made, for more confusion as to what the justices are ultimately gonna decide with this case whenever they issue a ruling perhaps in the next couple of weeks. And I think that from what we gathered today, there was definitely more, I would say, democratic appointed justices that were interested in talking about the actual birthright, executive order that president Trump has put in place. And and and if and if you're listening to their words intently enough, then you might come away from it thinking, well, this executive order seems to maybe have a pretty steep chance of passing their muster. But I would also put the caveat where the Republican appointed justices were not really entertaining any parts of the merits of that executive order. So it kind of created a, an unfair, you know, balance where it seemed like there was more negative attention going toward the executive order whenever that wasn't even the issue that they had to deal with before them. Now I know Ketanji Brown Jackson. She said was she was in favor of these lower courts issuing their orders because that way, the administration would have to go to the Supreme Court quicker. Yeah. It seemed like that that was sort of the idea that the Supreme Court could handle this, in the way that that from from her perspective that the Supreme Court could continue to handle these cases in the way that things are going. But, obviously, we saw that with this case, it became a special oral argument session, in the May, which you know, are they going to do that for every single controversial, you know, alleged controversial executive order that is going to, you know, get stalled by a lower court judge? I mean, the fact of the matter is is that one of the things that was brought up and, rightfully noted is that, you know, nationwide injunctions really weren't popularized until the nineteen sixties, the 1963 case at the DC, circuit court. So I think that, you know, we've seen a steady pattern even in administrations before Trump where lower court judges have progressively begun to, you know, take, you know, stiff aim at the powers of, of of executive authority. And so the justices are now trying to toi ...

I pledge allegiance to the flag of The United States Of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Oh, beautiful for skies, for amber waves of grain, for purple mountain America is back. Ah, yes. Yes. Yes. And if we can get if we can get a, a good ruling from the Supreme Court on the fourteenth amendment, America will really be back. I am sorry. I mean, we oh, oh, y'all. We got y'all look here. We got some liberals over there on on the text line that are so upset. Oh my goodness. Oh, my word. Six zero one loves illegal aliens. Two nine eight loves illegal the the truth is they just hate Trump. That's it. That is their whole reason for being. They went, oh my goodness. I could not imagine waking up every morning with that much anger and hatred and self loathing in my heart as people like this have. I really can't. That cannot be good. Your cortisol levels on a bed will probably are probably through the roof. You guys might wanna go to the doctor. You might wanna go get yourself checked out. Get tested for Trump derangement syndrome. That would be a good one. And all you gotta do is just ask him a just ask him a few questions. Hey. You know, Trump's got, like, $1,600,000,000,000 worth of investment coming to The United States. How do you feel about that? I hate it. I just I hate it. I hate that. I hate that he did it. Oh oh oh oh, okay. Okay. Trump's allowing some people from Africa in as refugees. Now they're white. Oh, I really hate that. Oh, boy. Do I hate that. I can't stand that. Okay. Okay. Alright. How about this one? Trump is looking at lowering drug prices. Oh, I hate Trump. I I hate Trump. Yeah. That's all they do. So 601298. I've got a texter here that's got a question for you. Would you be willing to take illegal aliens into your home? Would you? You should be. You should be willing to do that. I bet you're not, though. I bet you're thinking of reasons right now why you couldn't possibly host an illegal alien and their families into your home. Why, if one of them was to give birth in your house, you would probably consider them a family member. Yeah. Share your Wi Fi password, your PIN to your ATM card. Yeah. Probably give them access to your bank account. Would you do that? No. Of course, you wouldn't because you're miserable hypocrites through and through. Whoopi Goldberg Whoopi Goldberg was actually on The View criticizing president Trump's plan to reduce the price of prescription drugs. Now I don't know if you guys follow, Damon Amani over there on he's really good. He's really good. But I want you to listen to what will be said and a little bit of his reply. Here we go. You know who issued an executive order aimed at low Now wait a minute. Look. Just just the look on her face. You know who ex did an executive order. You know who. I'll just tell you, listen to this. Here's Whoopi and and Damon Imani. You know who issued an executive order aimed at lowering drug drug costs. He didn't specify which drugs he's gonna target or which insurance programs would be impacted. It's it doesn't make any sense. You know what? It doesn't make any sense. It doesn't. Now these are the same people that were screaming. Bernie Sanders screaming about the price of of drugs. They've been screaming about it for years. Let's go on a little bit. Well, let me just go back, Whoopi. Bringing down the price of drugs is an issue that even Democrats, your side, have been running on for years. Meaning Republicans, Democrats, everyone in the country, including every single one of you in your audience, you want this. And the fact that even when a Trump policy directly benefits you, you cry about it, you condemn it, well, it doesn't make any sense. Out of sheer hatred for the man is utterly astonishing, to be honest with you, and I think it should And he's absolutely right. It's all it's just out of hatred for the man. Because you hate the man, y ...
I pledge allegiance to the flag of The United States Of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. So six zero one two nine eight. It's all it's ju ...
And welcome to the program on this Thursday afternoon as everybody's getting ready for the weekend. I know you are. I am my own self. Boy, I tell you what, lot better day today, man. It is we have had such a wet, spring out there. Unbelievable how much rain we've had, but at least it's nights out there, momentarily. But this is the time of year we always get those, afternoon and evening thunderstorms and things like that. So, okay. I wanted let's just jump back in the way back machine for a minute. Just for a minute. And go back to a pivotal moment or what would become a pivotal moment in American history. It was one can you believe it? It was one year ago today one year ago today that Joe Biden and his campaign decided that they needed to release a video. They were gonna release a video, y'all. And, boy, I'd tell you what a oh, they got this, and I'm pretty sure they took them, like, thirty, forty takes to get it right because it was Joe. Hold on. Hold on. Here it here it is. That was the literally, that night, as we all gathered to there together a bit at Willy Taco, and we watched that debate, that was the end. And then that night happened, that debate. We knew we were right. Even in that book with Jake Tapper called original sin, Even the W ...
And welcome to the program on your Wednesday afternoon. Glad to have you along with us. Well, there's been a lot of talk today about the Greenville County budget and how it's going to affect Greenville County schools. Well, I figured we would go right to the horse's mouth, so to speak, and talk with the chairman of the Greenville County Council. Benton Blunt is joining us. Benton, welcome to the program. Hope you're doing well. I'm doing pretty well, but I'm glad you said from the horse's mouth, because I have two feet pulled, and that's what I feel like today. Oh, boy. I bet. Yeah. Well, thanks for joining us, and fighting through the pain there. So what is going on with the budget, and and how is it affecting the Greenville County Schools? Alright. I'll try to make this as quick as I can, but it's pretty complex. So from a 30,000 foot view, the new upcoming Greenville County budget, lot of different things happening that people seen in the past. We're going to a one year budget, so there's no more two year budgets. It's just the fiscal year 2026. Right. We have a 1.5 reduction in property taxes, which is a mandate from the new members of council who came in, under that mandate. We have increased our roads budget from 13,000,000 to 40,000,000, which puts us up there where we're supposed to be or at least close, to Charleston County and some of the other counties like that. We're fully funding our public safety through our sheriff's department, EMS, and other services. But the way that we got to this place was from a unique situation with Filo agreements. And Filos are obviously where, new manufacturing jobs come to Greenville County. In the first five years, if they don't go into a Filo agreement, we receive no income at all. We receive no revenue at all. Yep. But through a Filo, we get money upfront, which is what this program is for and also to to bring high quality jobs to the Upstate. When we started this budget out, I spoke with the administrator, and I asked about how these funds were allocated. And, you know, I said it would be wonderful if we could use this system that's sometimes controversial in the public to do something good with it, which is fund our road system. And he looked into it and he said, you know what, Benton? We do have the ability to do that, and, let me see what we can do, which brought us to today. Now where the school board comes in, the Greenville County School System does get a portion of these Filos, which I still have a lot of questions as to why this money was ever allocated to them when they operate off residential, and this is solely manufacturing jobs Yeah. Right. Specifically in the southern part of the county. All that to say, we made those adjustments. We didn't know the specific numbers, but we knew that we would be sitting somewhere around 40,000,000 with the additional c funds we did thankfully receive from the state. We received more state money finally for once, and so that's what totaled the 40,000,000. The estimated amount that would be lost by the school system from reallocating the FELO percentages was at first around 8 to $10,000,000, but we found out as of yesterday, because we just got the numbers back, that it's actually $14,000,000. Along with that, our municipalities would be losing, up to a million dollars. We have some fire districts that will be losing up to a half a million in the southern part of Greenville County. So that, of course, started a big conversation. School system definitely felt like they were caught, you know, after they had already decided not to increase taxes, they were caught blindsided. Right. While I do take that into account, we we have a job as county council for core funds of govern or Oh, are you there? Yeah. There you go. I'm sorry. You gotta go back to and and start where you, left off just a few seconds ago as a a core value of county government. Yes. Our sole responsibility we have core functions of government that we have to ...
Well, it's time for the 06:00 club. Welcome. Welcome. Welcome. Let's go to Richard in Dallas. Richard, you you got some information about, some of those solar panel farms. Right? Well, that's what we're chatting about. That young man was on the phone a while ago. I'm sure he has a firsthand experience because he said he lost some acreage in his hunt club to a a a a some Solar fire. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. And I'm sure the numbers he told out there were true and accurate because he was probably sent in on the meeting of the landowner and the hunt club president, and the landowner said, listen, guys. This is what's happening. Now I gotta take this deal. Yeah. The thing about it is the property and I didn't know this. Well, I didn't but I didn't know that this panel wore out in fifteen years. But the problem is, in my opinion, the landowner still owns the land. They may have got a $2,000,000 upfront payment, but they still I know a guy that And it's leasing land Yeah. To a farm. Okay? Solar part. He got a big deposit, and he's got about 80 acres. And he gets a check every quarter. Yep. And every every 12 months, that goes up 6%. Wow. Okay? Yeah. 6%. That's not bad. And that's why these other that's why these land owners that own this property, what, 400 acres that we're talking about earlier? That's a lot of money. That's why they wanna get rid of it because they're flat in their own pocket. Yep. You're right. But they don't realize in fifteen years, if that's true, what they got is a mess on their hands that supposedly is no way to dispose of. Yeah. What are they gonna do? Just dismantle them, take them all out, and replace them? I don't know. I don't know. They're just gonna move on. They're just gonna move on. Move. Yeah. You're right. I'm about to Appreciate it. Richard, let's go to Jeff. He's over in Commerce, Georgia. Jeff, tell us about those solar farms over there, pal. Hey, Charlie. I'm in Comer, Georgia, C 0 M E R. Oh, you're in Comer. Okay. Great. What's up? Yeah. We we live in Oglethorpe County. So we just had a situation here where they came in with a solar farm, bought it from a timber company, 3,000 acres. Wow. So where are you gonna put 3,000 acres of solar panels in fifteen years? In your landfill, it's gonna be classified as hazardous waste. But that's not the main problem. They they touted us as, oh, it's gonna bring in jobs to your county, which is a very rural county. Yeah. Yeah. It brought in jobs because I sat down on the road and watched them when they were doing it multiple times. The jobs, the count the the tags were from Texas Yeah. Colorado, Arizona. We had one job as a security guard on that road, but that's not the main thing. The main thing is the runoff from that solar farm Yeah. Devastated everybody, their farms, their their lakes, their streams, and it's a major environmental problem. Yeah. You're right. I mean, that water, when it hits those solar panels, where does it go? Yeah. And they took out 3,000 acres Wow. Of pristine, beautiful trees to put up a solar farm. I'm just gonna imagine looking for us? I'm just gonna imagine since it's Georgia, though those are pine trees. So I'm just kinda wondering. I mean, that's 3,000 acres off the market for all of that really renewable resource that is our trees. This wasn't just pine trees. This was a hardwood forest. Oh, really? That's even worse. Which even which even made it worse. Yeah. Yeah. So og Oglethorpe County, Georgia, county seed is Lexington. Somebody wants to give the county commissioner a call and ask him, hey. Would he do that again? I guarantee you, he's screaming about it right now. Yeah. Probably so. All the jobs all the jobs came from Texas. Such regret. Such regret when they when they chase after that dollar. Jeff, I appreciate it, man. Thank you so much. That's so you folks out there with that 400 acres solar farm, what's gonna happen to everything around it? It's not gonna be good. It never is. All of this green ...
I pledge allegiance to the flag of The United States Of America and to the Republic Oh, beautiful for spacious skies, for amber waves of grain, for purple mountain majesties above the America is back. Yes, sir. Welcome back to the program. Alright. Idaho, South Dakota, Iowa, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, West Virginia, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina all have something in common. They ban abortion at either conception or after six weeks. Well, the South Carolina Supreme Court has upheld that in the courts. Let's talk with South Carolina state representative Josiah Magnuson, right now. Josiah, welcome to the program. This is a pretty big deal for the Supreme Court. Right? Thank you, Charlie. Yes. Absolutely. This is a big win. And, you know, I think those that were paying attention knew that we had to uphold it. You know, this was so important that we, you know, not go with what planned parenthood was saying. Planned parenthood, you know, I think their arguments were just really illogical, but we have fortunately a pretty conservative supreme court, now, and they upheld the state law. And, you know, we're gonna continue to protect unborn babies, beginning about six weeks, you know, when the heartbeat can be detected. Yeah. Now they say, you know, planned parenthood's argument was like, yep. That's not a real that's not really a heartbeat. That's not really a heartbeat. Heart dog doesn't form until nine weeks is what they were saying. Right? Yeah. So they're trying to say that the law can only take effect once essentially, the the baby's heart is fully formed, which is around nine weeks. But there is cardiac activity Yeah. Beginning around six weeks. And so that was pretty clear that that was the intent of the law. And this is where it's really important that we have good debate and articulate things correctly when we're talking on the floor of the house because it affects what we call legislative intent. Mhmm. And that's what the Supreme Court looked at was the legislative intent. What did the legislature intend to do? It's very clear that the that the legislature intended to prohibit abortion as soon as that cardiac activity can be detected because you can hear the heart, you know, beating even though it's not fully formed. You can hear the heart beating beginning at six weeks. That was what the law, said, and so that was what the Supreme Court upheld. In this article that I'm reading, it says, if the Supreme Court sides with South Carolina, which they did, its decision could pave the way for other registry states to cut Planned Parenthood out of their Medicaid program. Is that the plan? That would be the hope. That's a a court case that's at the federal level right now. Right. But we haven't seen the results yet. I've been proposing, I think, you know, Charlie, you know, to try to take the Planned Parenthood funding out of the state budget. Mhmm. And that's been, you know, not, adopted, unfortunately. But McMaster has some executive work that he's been doing, an executive action to take, Planned Parenthood out from being a Medicaid provider and just say they're they're they're not counted in that system. And so that's been challenging court. So that's what now is gonna come back from the from the US Supreme Court hopefully pretty soon. Right. We're talking about Josiah Magnus and South Carolina representatives. So what was the what was the amendment that was put forward? Was it Jordan Pace that that put this forward the other day on the last day of session? So that is something that would have allowed us I'm I'm glad you're bringing this up because that would have allowed us to actually come back and deal with a pro life bill again in the off season. We have something called sine die Right. Which is the law that determines what topics can be addressed when the legislature is not technically in session. Mhmm. And our position my position, the Free ...
I know we talked about it a little bit before, but let's do it again. Idaho, Texas, Oklahoma, South Carola South Dakota, Iowa, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, West Virginia, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida all have banned abortion at conception or after six weeks. Well, the South Carolina Supreme Court recently upheld that here in South Carolina. Joining us right now is representative John McCravy, who is, very excited about this bill. Representative McCravy, welcome to the program. Hope you're doing well. Thank you, Charlie. Thanks for having me on. So it was I mean, that was good news from the Supreme Court, five to zero, upholding it. Right? It was. And and it was a good common sense opinion. It took them 27 pages to say that if you hear the heartbeat, the baby is protected. So so but but it was a good decision. And, you know, one of the things that the family caucus and I have worked hard on is to make sure we get conservative judges Right. Who don't don't replace their opinion for our constitution and for for law. Is it let me ask you something. I mean, is are there changes that need to be made to the South Carolina constitution about abortion? You know, that's a that's an issue. We we don't have in South Carolina. We do not have, that type of those type of laws that they have in California where they just willy nilly change the constitution. We'd have to have a two thirds vote of both bodies to even get to that. But we're elected and we're supposed to go down there and do what our people elect us to do. And so that's what we we try to do, you know? And and I wanna say this, Charlie, and I I know, you know, I I I was the author of the heartbeat bill originally, and I I authored a lot of the changes to it that that are in there now. But I wanna say this, the heartbeat bill was never written to be the final bill for South Carolina. The final bill that we wrote for it and representative Magnuson was on the committee, that you had on earlier. He's been a a staunch supporter of life from day one. But but we wrote something called the Human Life Protection Act that is that is still sitting in the house judiciary along with about 10 other good bills. So we've we've got to we've got to keep fighting because we're still having 2,000 babies a year aborted for birth control in South Carolina. Right. So it's it's a time to say, okay. This is great, but we can't stop there. We can't we can't allow that many children to be killed in South Carolina. And so we're gonna continue to fight for that. I'm never gonna give up fighting for that. You know that, Charlie. Oh, I absolutely know that. So let me ask something. What is the difference between the bill we have now and the Human Life Protection Act? The Human Life Protection Act would protect babies in the womb. If if a woman is pregnant, that baby is protected. Mhmm. So it would take it back basically to conception, but but at least it would protect any baby that is in the womb. So now for birth control. Now, you know, the whether the exceptions come in, that's another issue, by a lot of different things. But but we don't want birth control to be applied to living babies. Like the abortion pill? That's right. And and and all other types as well. That's right. That's right. Charlie, they they're sending those things in. That's another whole story I could talk about for an hour. Yeah. But but we have a lot of bad things going on. But but, you know, what I wanna emphasize is let's please get the Human Life Protection Act out of that house judiciary committee along with a lot of other good things that need to come out, like closing the primaries, house judiciary Right. Ranked choice voting, house judiciary, student privacy act, keeping men out of girls' lives, house judiciary, punishing preventing parents from being punished from affirming their own biological sex with their child. Yeah. House judiciary. Changing the sex on the ...

Solar farm. He got a big deposit, and he's got about 80 acres, And he gets a check every quarter. Yeah. And every every 12 months, that goes up 6%. Wow. Okay? Yeah. 6%. That's not bad, man. That's why these other that's why these land owners that own this property, what, 400 acres that we're talking about earlier? That's a lot of money. That's why they wanna get rid of it because it's flat in their own pocket. Yep. You're right. But they don't realize in fifteen years, if that's true, what they got is a mess on their hands that supposedly is no way to dispose of. Yeah. What are they gonna do? Just dismantle them, take them all out, and replace them? I don't know. They don't know. They're just gonna move on. They're just gonna move on. Yeah. You're right. How about that? Appreciate it, Richard. Let's go to Jeff. Wow. So where are you gonna put 3,000 acres of solar panels in fifteen years in your landfill? It's gonna be classified as hazardous waste, but that's not the main problem. Yeah. Yeah. So o Oglethorpe County, Georgia, county seed is Lexington. That's so you folks out there with that 400 acre solar farm, what's gonna happen to everything around it? It's not gonna be good. It never is. All of this gr ...
