Look Forward breaks down the Big Lie 2.0 arriving right on schedule. Trump is claiming California's June 3rd primary was stolen — no evidence, same playbook — after Trump-endorsed reality TV star Spencer Pratt lost the LA mayoral race to progressive Nithya Raman once mail ballots finished counting. The House of Representatives majority sitting at a razor-thin 218-213, Trump is pre-seeding election fraud claims before November.Trump goes on video saying "I love inflation." Al Jazeera debunks his claim that the US secretly smuggled 100 million barrels of oil through the Strait of Hormuz. The Iran war is back on and Trump announces plans to seize Kharg Island, which handles 90% of Iran's oil exports. Gas prices will go nuclear if this happens. New York Times Magazine reveals Trump's top advisors held an emergency meeting on the Epstein Files last July in the Situation Room. Nancy Mace comes in fifth place in her primary. Trump is assessed by 22 doctors at his medical visit. Democrats block FISA reauthorization to protest Bill Pulte  being tapped for the Director of National Intelligence. Right-wing extremists turn Belfast "protests" into a riot. Today's Headlines: Bill Gates testified before the House Oversight Committee that Epstein tried to blackmail him after he tried to distance himself, saying he never went to the island or witnessed criminal conduct — the standard answer at this point — while a New York Times excerpt from an upcoming Haberman/Swan book revealed the White House Situation Room freakout over the Epstein files last July, with JD Vance emerging as a conspiracy theorist who wanted full file release and suggested Tucker Carlson interview Ghislaine Maxwell to clear Trump, while the administration quietly panicked over a specific sex allegation about Trump. On the war beat, the US launched strikes for the second consecutive night, Pete Hegseth announced they would "negotiate with bombs," Iran responded by attacking Bahrain and Kuwait and closing the Strait of Hormuz with a shoot-on-sight policy for any ship attempting to pass — the Dow fell nearly 1,000 points, the Nasdaq closed down 2%, inflation came in at 4.2% the worst in three years driven by energy prices, and Trump said "I love the inflation," which he said out loud. New reporting found at least 500 babies and toddlers in ICE custody during Trump's second term, averaging 25 per day and ten times higher than under Biden. The EU warned Albania that the Kushner Sazan Island resort could jeopardize their EU membership bid, as tens of thousands of Albanians enter their tenth day of protests. The White House launched an official "Media Offenders" page categorizing journalists under headers like "Left-Wing Lunacy" and "Malpractice." And finally, Nancy Mace abandoned her congressional seat to run for South Carolina governor, finished fifth in the primary, and announced she's "headed back to the private sector as the founders intended." Donald Trump knows he is on target to lose the midterms, so he's busy laying the groundwork now for challenging the outcome in the fall. That's why he seized the 2020 ballots in Fulton County, why he's determined to get hatchet man Bill Pulte in place as director of national intelligence, and why he's pushing the South to gerrymander back to the dark days of Jim Crow. This is not the time to despair or to outsource the fight for democracy to others. Sen. On today's KITM, we bring in David Waldman, who brings in Greg Dworkin, who brings in the latest primary updates and some news summaries, which is perfect, exactly what we needed them to do. There are a bunch of important elections this month, with some big ones yesterday. Going anti-Trump is working out well for Dems, not so much for Gops. Nancy Mace does hate the Trans but was not a true believer in hushing up the Epstein files, so she doesn't even get a participation trophy. Nothing to be too proud of there. Lindsey Graham still had to spend the kind of money some spend on a reflecting pool just to stay in office. On the other hand, Graham Platner ran the gauntlet and came out unscathed even without Kellyanne Conway's approval. Mike Johnson knows that he's never smelled anything like this around Trump. A yearslong effort to woo Trump culminates with the World Cup. Why? Sending Donald cash usually results in a quick turnaround. Donald K. Trump might be getting sick of winning, but he wants to see his arch before he gets too sick. Trump's arch could become taller than the Statue of Liberty, the same way Trump Tower became taller than the World Trade Center.

CannCon and Ashe in America return after a week off to a packed episode led by the California primary circus. Lindsey Graham wins South Carolina by 10 points, Nancy Mace finishes fifth in North Carolina, and the hosts are not pretending either outcome reflects real voter choice. The bulk of the episode covers the LA mayoral race, where Spencer Pratt led on election night only to be overtaken by mail ballots arriving days later at a statistical improbability the hosts describe as finding the same grain of sand 12 consecutive times. They break down California's election law architecture piece by piece: universal mail-in balloting sent to everyone regardless of request, a handwritten backdate option that counts as a valid postmark, happy-face signatures accepted under a legal presumption of validity, and a ballot tracking website that went offline for maintenance in the middle of counting. The US attorney for the Central District of California tells Glenn Beck that election fraud charges are coming within one to two months and is actively seeking witnesses. CannCon and Ashe close on Trump's Miranda Devine interview, the Kristen Welker exchange, the limits of the SAVE Act, and why Kalshi asked paid influencers to delete posts questioning the LA results.

Chuck Todd opens with the resolution of a story he's been tracking for weeks: Graham Platner cruised to victory in Maine, comfortably clearing 70% even with Janet Mills' name still on the ballot — which he says means the scandals that had Platner in "save my campaign" mode turned out to be far less than a five-alarm fire. The deeper lesson, Chuck argues, is uncomfortable but revealing: for a significant share of Democratic primary voters, high character has become a luxury item, because the base is so exhausted by losing and capitulating to the establishment that it will forgive a flawed candidate who actually seems willing to fight. He notes that Maine has gotten meaningfully bluer since Susan Collins was last on the ballot (Harris underperformed nationally but actually drew more raw votes in Maine than Biden did), that a generic Democrat should win this seat by six or seven points, and that the only real question left is how many squeamish Democrats sit the race out rather than pull the lever for Platner. He runs through the rest of the night — Lindsey Graham narrowly avoided a runoff in South Carolina, the GOP gubernatorial race there is headed to a runoff that knocked out both Nancy Mace and Ralph Norman — and pulls back to identify the defining theme of the entire 2026 cycle: everyone, in both parties, is running on a message of change, with no candidate anywhere running on restoration the way Biden did in 2020. The messaging this cycle is relentlessly future-focused, the exact opposite of Trump's nostalgia, and Chuck reiterates his running observation that the worst possible first name to have in politics right now is "congressman" — because Washington experience carries zero value to voters this cycle. The split-screen between the parties remains stark: Republican voters still reward confrontation while Democratic primary voters are gravitating toward electability and consensus, Democratic turnout is rising while GOP turnout is flat or falling, and the throughline that's held for a decade is only intensifying — voters are demanding major change, and they'll punish anyone who doesn't offer it. Then, Lauren Pinkston — the independent candidate for governor of Tennessee — joins the Chuck Toddcast to make the case that the deepest problem in her state isn't left versus right, it's the near-total absence of two-party competition that has allowed one-party rule to calcify into something genuinely unhealthy. Pinkston, who was raised in an evangelical environment where she was taught that voting Democrat meant going to hell, offers a fascinating personal and political journey: she lived in communist Laos where people were persecuted for their faith, which gave her a firsthand understanding of why the Founders deliberately kept Christianity out of the Constitution, and she's now running explicitly against the kind of Christian nationalism that teaches America was divinely ordained. She argues Citizens United is a major reason Tennessee became so uncompetitive, walks through the mechanical difficulties of mounting a serious independent campaign, and contends that Marsha Blackburn isn't nearly as strong a candidate as she thinks she is. The conversation digs into Pinkston's actual governing vision and her theory of how an independent can build a winning coalition in one of the reddest states in the country. She wants to reform education and make teaching a genuinely fun profession again, and she's passionate about the way Nashville soaks up all the state's political investment while Memphis gets neglected — pointing out that crime in Memphis is at a 20-year low yet the city still can't attract investment, and that St. Jude is struggling to recruit talent because of H1-B visa denials. Pinkston is candid about the structural obstacles: Tennessee's constitution doesn't even allow for ballot measures, the GOP holds a stranglehold on the statehouse, and Republican leadership has been kicking moderate candidates off the ballot entirely. But she argues there's a real opening — Republicans in the state are looking for an offramp that isn't a Democrat, and even staunch Democrats are frustrated with their own party. Pinkston is energized about working with the Working Families Party and the Forward Party to build toward a more moderate, genuinely competitive two-party system, argues this is the strongest group of independent candidates to run in years, and wonders aloud whether being "too educated" has perversely become a negative quality in a candidate. She closes with a sharp observation that cuts to the heart of the whole project: Americans demand more than two options for literally everything in their lives except politics, politicians increasingly rely on performance over substance, and the stakes couldn't be higher. Finally, Chuck updates his ToddCast Top 5 list of senate seats most likely to flip parties and answers listeners’ questions in the “Ask Chuck” segment. Chuck's Commentary - Graham Platner Won His Primary… But Can He Beat Susan Collins? + Voters Are Future Focused & Demanding Change

Finally, Chuck updates his ToddCast Top 5 list of senate seats most likely to flip parties and answers listeners’ questions in the “Ask Chuck” segment. Of course, we all know that uh Alan Wilson and Pam LeVitt are going to be going to a runoff in that race. was, that's kind of the way that this whole thing really started a little bit. Now, Pam LeVitt started off uh kind of slow, but picked up because, you know, she got the momentum. And of course, the endorsement from President Trump, that helped her as well. 01:30 um But Pamela Vett getting 28.86 % of the vote. Excuse me, Alan Wilson getting 26.15 of the vote. So they will be going on to a runoff. There is going to be a runoff debate coming up on June 26th at seven o'clock at Coastal Carolina. uh Alan Wilson and Pamela Vett are going to be there in that race. 01:56 Rom Reddy who made him and he made a really big splash. Was a pretty good choice. I mean you got to give credit where credit is due. Nancy Mase coming in at 12 percent Ralph Norman at 17.08 percent. 02:25 Um, so we will see how that goes. Um, she's still clinging and rightfully so, uh, to the endorsement from president Trump, but is that going to help her in this race? That's going to be the big question because a lot more people understand this. A lot more people did not vote for Nan for Pamela vet than voted for. And the same can be said for Alan Wilson as well. So it's going to be who 02:54 Where do the Nancy Mace voters go? Where do the Ralph Norman voters go? Where do the Rom Ready voters go? Now I know the Nancy Mace has endorsed uh Alan Wilson. I heard some rumors and I didn't get anything confirmed on this about Rom Ready. Is he going with Alan Wilson or Pamela Vett? You guys let me know. I wish you could do it on the text line, but I just don't have access to that right now. Some other races that we're looking at. 03:22 Now this one is the attorney general race. This one is something that we're really gonna have to dig into. Because the big question has been, where did Stephen Goldfinch come from? I mean, yeah, he's been in the Senate for a long time, but this is a guy that if you asked anybody about his name, I doubt anybody could be able to tell you who he was. 03:50 But there he is actually getting 39.99 % of the vote. David Stumbo getting 35.66. David Pasco coming up uh in the rear here at 24.34%. So Stephen Goldfence, David Stumbo will be going to a runoff in that case. Then we go down, then we got the case of all the people we liked. I mean, you really, if you looked at that race for uh ag commissioner, 04:19 I mean, there wasn't a soul in that race where you went, man, I don't like that guy. We had some good, good candidates. Danny Ford, Danny Lee Ford and Cody Simpson. Yeah, going to a runoff in that one. Cody Simpson getting 38.14 % of the vote. Danny Ford getting 37.25. So they will also be headed for a runoff. Lindsey Graham winning this one pretty easily at 56.79 % of the vote. 04:48 Mark Lynch coming in with a respectable, a very respectable 28.89 % of the vote. Now one of the big, one of the really good things about last night is this voter turnout. 25.28%. That's a good voter turnout. That really is. Join Jim and Greg for the Tuesday 3 Martini Lunch as they discuss Texas Democratic Senate candidate James Talarico's reversal on transgender surgeries for minors, growing U.S.-Israel tensions amid negotiations with Iran, the baffling logic of some of Graham Platner's defenders, and tonight's South Carolina governor's race.First, Jim and Greg examine the hypocrisy of James Talarico, who now suddenly opposes gender reassignment surgery for minors. In 2023, he argued against a bill that would ban “medical and surgical procedures” for minors with gender dysphoria. They also address recent reports that Talarico dated two of his staffers.Next, they review rising tensions between the President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Trump confirmed frustration over Israel's strikes against Hezbollah in Lebanon. Trump's concern is that Israel's retaliation could derail negotiations between the U.S. and Iran. Then, Jim and Greg break down the puzzling logic of a Graham Platner supporter who claims she would no longer vote for him if he had a tattoo of the Israeli flag. But apparently she is OK with Platner's Nazi-linked tattoo. Finally, they offer their take on the governor's race in South Carolina and criticize Republican candidate Nancy Mace's policy priorities. Please visit our great sponsors:OneSkinGet 15% off OneSkin with code 3ML at https://oneskin.co/3MLIncogniTake control of your digital footprint today.  Use code 3ML at the link below and get 60% off an annual plan: https://incogni.com/3ML Pocket HoseFor a limited time, get two free gifts—a 360° rotating pocket pivot and a thumb drive nozzle—when you buy the Pocket Hose Ballistic; just text MARTINI to 64000, message and data rates may apply.New episodes every weekday.

H1-S2 full 00:15 I tell you what, I've been watching these polls for the governor's race and they're everywhere. I mean, these polls, you're like, and I'll give you a perfect example here. Hold on just a second. If you take a look at this and you go to interactive polls, insider polling has Pamela Ebbett at 19%, Alan Wilson 16%, Nancy Mase 13%, Rom Reddy 13%, 00:44 Ralph Norman 12%, they still include Josh Kimball coming in at 4 % rather. Then, so remember that, just real quick, Pamela Evans got leading the pack with 19%. And then if you go down and you look at some of these other polls, I mean, you go, wait a minute, is this even the same state? So here you've got another poll with Alan Wilson. 01:10 22%, Pamela Evitt at 17%, Ram Reddy 16%, Ralph Norman at 12, Nancy Mace at 12. That's from opinion diagnostics. Then you go to TPSI. They've got Nancy Mace at 31%. Pamela Vett at 26%, Ram Reddy 16%, Ralph Norman at 14, Alan Wilson at 13. I'm telling you what, and then, all right, here's another one. This is from... 01:40 Coefficient poll, the June 2nd through the 4th, Pamela Evitt, 23%, Rom Reddy, 17%, Alan Wilson, 16%, Ralph Norman, 15%, Nancy Mace, 11%. These things are scattered. mean, are y'all polling the same state people? But here's the thing you gotta be very careful about with these polls. Who 02:09 Are they polling? 02:12 Are they polling the general population? Is it just, hey, hey, Mr. and Mrs. So-and-so, who are you voting for? Are they voting, are they polling those people? Are they polling only Republicans? Then you have to take it and narrow it down a little bit. You have to go, are they polling Republican likely voters? 02:37 Not all the Republicans are going to vote today. We're going to see what the voter turnout. I'm predicting I'm going to be very gracious here. I'm going to be um very gracious, very generous with my prediction. 02:54 I'm gonna say 17%. I know, right? I'm thinking 17%. We'll see if I'm right on this. We'll see if I'm right on this, but I'm gonna say 17 % voter turnout. Are they polling like, oh, is, John said, it's raining out, you're right. Oh, yeah, I care about this state, but I don't wanna get wet. I just don't wanna get out there, I know, it happens. That's why I always say, I mean, early voting was a good idea for us. 03:22 But I'm going to say 17 % voter turnout. I might be wrong, but you poll general population, you poll Republican voters if they're Republican candidates, and then you poll likely Republican voters to narrow it down even more. And I'll be honest with you, I haven't dug into these polls um all of that much because a lot of them just came out just over the past couple of days. uh little issue. 03:53 little issue with the Pamela Yvette campaign. is minor, minor little incident of assault. I know, know, it's crazy, right? didn't, nothing really to see here. A man who the Pamela Yvette campaign says was a volunteer for the campaign was charged with assault outside of an Yvette campaign event ah on Monday night. This is according to a police report. 04:24 According to a police report, Greer Police Department incident report that Blake Garrison Kirsch, I think that's how you pronounce it, Kirsch, 27 years old, is charged with third degree assault and battery. Third degree assault and battery. I'm telling you what, this is crazy. Now we got, listen, it happened Monday night. Happened Monday night. Now this is from FitzNews. 04:54 A member of South Carolina gubernatorial front runner Pam Levitt's campaign finance team was arrested in Greer on Monday night and charged with assault after ripping a megaphone out of the hands of a political opponent. Blake Kirsch, 27, a realtor from Boiling Springs, was charged by officers of the Greer Police Department with third degree assault on batters. 05:18 That's according to an incident report. Kurtz ripped the megaphone out of the victim's hands. Kurtz then ran up. um 05:29 I guess this is the victim talking. EPISODE DESCRIPTION The South Carolina governor's race is becoming one of the most contentious political battles in the state. Tara breaks down allegations surrounding redistricting, political power plays, debate absences, and what she describes as a decades-old political machine that continues to dominate state politics. Plus, why she refuses to endorse a candidate despite growing pressure from listeners and what voters should be watching as the race heats up. PODCAST SUMMARY Today's show focused entirely on the growing battle for the future of South Carolina politics. Tara examined claims that political maneuvering surrounding congressional redistricting and legislative scheduling may have influenced the current gubernatorial race. She argued that political insiders prioritized personal ambitions over Republican electoral advantages and criticized what she described as establishment politics within the state. A major focus of the discussion centered on Lieutenant Governor Pam Evette's absence from a recent gubernatorial debate. Tara argued that voters deserve direct answers from candidates and suggested that avoiding public scrutiny raises important questions during a competitive primary contest. The show also explored allegations of long-standing political networks operating behind the scenes in South Carolina government. Tara described what she sees as an entrenched political machine that has survived changes in party labels and leadership over multiple decades. Addressing calls for an endorsement, Tara explained why she is withholding support for any specific candidate at this stage of the race. Instead, she pledged to provide listeners with a detailed examination of each candidate's strengths, weaknesses, controversies, and governing records before voters head to the polls. The program concluded with a broader discussion about the direction of South Carolina, concerns about education and cultural issues, and whether voters have an opportunity to fundamentally reshape state government. KEY TALKING POINTS Debate over congressional redistricting and political strategy. Criticism of South Carolina's political establishment. Pam Evette's debate absence becomes a major issue. Questions surrounding endorsements and political influence. Discussion of polling volatility in the governor's race. Why Tara refuses to endorse a candidate at this stage. Examination of South Carolina's political power structure. Concerns about consultant-driven campaigns. Debate over open primaries and party identity. Discussion of Clemson University's leadership direction. The role of grassroots voters in shaping the race. What voters should evaluate before casting ballots. QUOTE OF THE DAY "I'm not endorsing anybody. What I'm going to do is lay out the facts, the records, the negatives, and let voters decide for themselves." DESCRIPTION President Donald Trump has officially endorsed Pam Evette in South Carolina's Republican gubernatorial primary, but the endorsement sparked immediate controversy. During today's show, Tara examines Trump's surprising reference to Henry McMaster Jr. as Evette's future lieutenant governor pick—a claim Evette has repeatedly declined to confirm publicly. The conversation explores allegations of political deal-making involving Governor Henry McMaster, the failed congressional redistricting effort, and whether Trump's endorsement was strategic support or a subtle warning shot. Callers weigh in on the future of South Carolina politics, concerns about establishment influence, and comparisons to political shifts seen in other states. Later, gubernatorial candidate Rom Reddy joins the program to discuss the endorsement, polling trends, government spending, and his vision for South Carolina's future. The discussion centers on whether Trump intentionally highlighted a politically sensitive issue for Evette's campaign. Segment 2: The McMaster Connection The show explores allegations that support from Governor Henry McMaster came with expectations regarding future political appointments. Tara argues that Trump's comments exposed an issue Evette had previously avoided addressing publicly. Segment 3: Redistricting and Political Fallout Discussion shifts to South Carolina's failed congressional redistricting effort. Tara contends that political leaders failed to support changes sought by Trump and examines how those developments may have influenced the endorsement. Segment 4: Listener Reactions Callers from across South Carolina share concerns about establishment politics, open primaries, voter engagement, and comparisons to political developments in Colorado. Several callers discuss why they believe the gubernatorial race remains highly competitive despite Trump's endorsement. Segment 5: Rom Reddy Interview Gubernatorial candidate Rom Reddy joins the program and reacts to Trump's endorsement. Reddy discusses polling, government spending, taxes, economic development, and concerns about what he describes as the creation of a long-term political dynasty in South Carolina.
