On the final game of the NHL season, the Anaheim Ducks had the opportunity to play spoiler and affect the Western Conference playoff picture... and succeeded! The San Diego Gulls put together a couple strong efforts against teams just down the road... but nothing to show for it as they have another losing streak on their hands. As the season winds down, the NHL career of Jakob Silfverberg comes closer to a conclusion. Right before the Anaheim Ducks' final home game of the season, long-time alternate captain Jakob Silfverberg announced that he would be retiring from the NHL after playing 12 seasons. The Los Angeles Kings had an opportunity to clinch a playoff spot in Anaheim... but the Ducks had other plans! JD Hernandez talks about the brilliance of Lukas Dostal in the Ducks' 3-1 victory over the crosstown rivals.
