Adam's favorite Thursday guest, Karlyn B, is back in the house to discuss the Rudy Giuliani press conference, ridiculous opinion pieces coming from the New York Times and International Men's Day really isn't about men. We are not grifters; we are proud Americans!
Back on the main channel, Carter and Keri briefly celebrate International Men's Day before delving into California Governor Gavin Newsom's new curfew order on the heels of his hypocritical attendance at a French Laundry birthday party. They decry the political aristocracy, congratulate Unsafe Space community member Angie Hoffman for her recent election to the school board, and address questions from chat before watching Cut's latest piece of race war propaganda titled, "So what exactly are white people superior at?" Finally, Carter observes the eagerness with which Mark Zuckerberg seems to want government regulation of Facebook. You're in the passenger seat as Ed takes his weekly drive from FU_Network HQ to Toronto! So many topics flow from one to another it's hard to list them all, but some main ones: societal pressures men face & women who laugh at them, why the umpteenth "Charlie's Angels" reboot movie failed - and it ain't sexism like director Elizabeth Banks claims (great way to deflect from making a crappy movie). ALSO - learning to apply the lost art of critical thinking using the Don Cherry/Jess Allen/Trudeau Blackface social media war. AND - WHY ARE TEETH THE ONLY PART OF THE BODY NOT COVERED BY GOVT HEALTH INSURANCE??This is Ed as you love him - unfiltered, insightful, thought-provoking and pissed-off at idiots! A challenge and encouragement to men on Baptist Men's Day. 1. Don't Let suffering cause you to quit. 2. Don't let weariness cause you to quit. 3. Don't let discouragement cause you to quit. 4. Don't look back - look ahead.
Men's Day 2012
As part of our Yearly Men's day Celebration we have with us Reverend Kenneth Phelps from the Concord Missionary Baptist Church of chicago. We give a special thanks to Reverend Phelps for giving to us of his time and timely message.
This Week as part of our Men's Day Celebrations we had the honor of having Reverend E. Stephen Roberts preaching. He comes to us from the Garfield Park Baptist Church join us in embracing his message he brings to us this week. . Thanks to everyone listening to our podcast. Please drop us a Note at fbcpreacher@fbcpreacher.com or submit your comments here on the web page about anything you might hear in this ministry. We enjoy hearing your comments about our ministry or anything you might think of to improve this ministry. Again thank you all for listening and have a blessed week from the pastoral and technical staff at First Baptist Church of Chicago.
For our 173 Anniversary service we have the Reverend Taurus Scurlock from the Mount Zion Baptist Church from the West side of Chicago. This is Reverend Scurlock's second appearance in the pulpit of First Baptist Church. For our Men's Day he shook up First Baptist with his plea that we not become "Church Daddies". This time Reverend Scurlock touches a nerve while teaching from Acts 10:28-35 he reminds us that the church just is not for those that are saved. It's for everyone that can be saved. We have to accept all with out question. There can be not if ands or buts. As Reverend Scurlock reminds us when faced with a expanding ministry there is not buts. We hope that Reverends sermon this week touches you as much as it touched us on our 173 Anniversay. Thanks to everyone listening to our podcast. Please drop us a Note at fbcpreacher@fbcpreacher.com or submit your comments here on the web page about anything you might hear in this ministry.
