The Breaker is not your average self-help book for abuse survivors. The goal isn't just to help you tolerate pain, it's to show you a path that leads to true freedom from the wounds of your past. This is the raw and powerful true story of Micah LaCerte—a world champion athlete, fitness icon, and transformation coach who has helped thousands of men break free from strongholds. Micah appeared to have it all but was silently battling deep wounds from his past. Behind the success was a history of abuse, trauma, shame, and invisible battles. This book is about confronting the pain and abuse you've buried—the shame, the silence, the wounds you never asked for—and choosing to turn them into purpose. It's about no longer being defined by what happened to you and finally becoming who you were always meant to be. What was meant to destroy you will become the very thing that drives your purpose.

William Booth didn't set out to build a global movement. He walked into the slums of London with a Bible, a stubborn faith, and a burden for people the church had learned to ignore. Out of that simple conviction came The Salvation Army, one of the most influential Christian missions of the last 150 years. In this episode of HIS Story, Todd Turner sits down with Booth for a first-person conversation that brings his world to life. You'll hear what shaped him, why he refused to look away from suffering, and how holiness, courage, and compassion fueled a ministry that changed cities across the world. This episode explores: • Booth's early ministry and calling • The spiritual and social crisis in 19th-century London • How The Salvation Army began and why it grew • Booth's passion for the poor, the addicted, and the forgotten • What today's church can learn from his bold, practical faithIf you enjoy Christian biography, church history, classic revival movements, or stories of ordinary believers doing extraordinary things, this conversation will pull you in. It's a fresh look at William Booth, The Salvation Army, and the kind of faith that still speaks today.

Standing Out: A Daily Podcast About Sales, Marketing and Leadership
Send us a textA teacher of Israel meets the Teacher from heaven, and the ground shifts beneath his feet. We open with Nicodemus arriving under cover of night, only to hear words that cut through status and stamina: you must be born from above. This isn't about turning over a new leaf or polishing virtue; it's a new creation by the Spirit, as unpredictable and undeniable as the wind. From there, we trace a surprising thread back to the wilderness. Jesus ties new birth to an old story—Israel's healing by looking at the bronze serpent—showing that the cure for sin is not effort but faith. Then comes the heartbeat of the gospel: God loved the world like this, by giving His Son. Light enters the world, and while many hide, those who step into the light find that their good works were fueled by God all along. We also highlight Nicodemus' slow-bloom courage, from secret questions to public honor at the burial, a hopeful picture for anyone who is seeking in the shadows. The focus turns to John the Baptist, where success could sour into envy. Instead, John rejoices: the friend of the groom steps aside when joy is complete. “He must increase, but I must decrease” becomes a blueprint for ministry without ego, a freedom to serve without clutching credit. Along the way we reflect on the Son who came from above, speaks the words of God, and gives the Spirit without measure. Belief yields life, not as an abstract idea but as present reality that reorders desires, ambitions, and daily obedience. If you're wrestling with performance, identity, or what it means to truly change, this conversation invites you to look and live. Subscribe, share with a friend who's seeking, and leave a review to help others find their way to the light. The Bible isn't just an old book—it's God's story, and it's still alive today. His Story takes you chapter by chapter through Scripture, combining simple readings of God's Word with prayer for every listener and occasional reflections on what the passage means for our lives right now. Whether you're brand new to the Bible or have been reading it for years, this podcast is a space to slow down, hear God's Word spoken, and be reminded that His story is also our story.

His Story, His Glory September 21, 2025 AM - Elwyn & ReGina Johnston Hebrews 13:8 Verse of the Week: “Now the Lord had said to Abram, ‘Get out of your country…to a land I will show you.” Genesis 12:1 1. God gives a call The Call requires us to leave and go The Call is rooted in God's Promise “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you” Gen. 12:2 The Call requires simple obedience “So Abram went as the Lord had spoken to him” Genesis 12:4 The Call will necessitate prayer “Abram built an altar there….. to the Lord” Genesis 12:7 “built an altar . . . and called upon the name of the Lord” Gen. 26:25 “God said to Jacob, ‘Arise, go up to Bethel and live there, and make an altar there to God'” Genesis 35:1 2. The Call will be tested “Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, ‘Abraham!' And he said, ‘Here I am.' Then He said, ‘Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a sacrifice'” Gen. 22:1 & 2 View sacrifice as an act of worship “Stay here with the donkey, and I and the lad will go over there; and we will worship and return to you.” Genesis 22:5 “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” James 1:2 - 4 Watch God provide “God will provide for Himself” Genesis 22:8 “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19 3. The Call must continue “And Abraham gave all that he had to Isaac.” Genesis 25:5 “The Lord appeared to Abram and said, ‘To your descendants I will give this land.”' Genesis 12:7 “The Lord appeared to Isaac and said, ‘Do not go down to Egypt, but do as I tell you. Live here as a foreigner in this land, and I will be with you and bless you….I will do this because Abraham listened to Me and obeyed my commands.' So Isaac stayed in Gerar.” Genesis 26:2, 3, 5, & 6 Dig new wells and build new altars “Isaac dug again the wells of water which had been dug in the days of his father Abraham, for the Philistines had stopped them up after the death of Abraham; and he gave them the same names which his father had given them.” Genesis 26:18 “Isaac built an altar there and worshiped the Lord.” Genesis 26:25 “One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts.” Psalm 145:4
Dr. Paul Gibson | Luke 24:13-16If Jesus had a playlist, He would listen to country music. Why? Country music tells stories, and Jesus was a storyteller. How did Jesus respond to the desperation and confusion of the two individuals on the Road to Emmaus? He told His Story from the Old Testament through the Cross. People will be encouraged to reflect on how the story of the Cross affects their lives.
Peter talks with Corey McNellis - who was fired from Ponderosa High School for voicing concern over a Play on the Matthew Shepard Story. The problem? Being concerned that it just might not be accurate. Is that worthy of being Fired? His Story. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Matthew is writing this so that we would not just see, but believe and receive Jesus as Messiah - fully capable and fully compassionate. Jesus is God, and God is good all the time. May our faith increase in every gap as we trust Him because of who He is, and may His glory spread through the telling of His Story.

If God gave us His definition for success, would you pay attention? Everyone in the world is battling for success, yet most of us aren't prioritizing God's definition of success. Guess what? For the vast majority, success is never easy. Success always comes with internal challenges and external opposition. This is especially true spiritually because there's an enemy fighting against God's purposes and promises. That's why God tells Joshua and Caleb time and time again to be “strong and courageous.” Success is a battle on many levels. It is a battle spiritually, mentally, and physically. In this series, we're going to discover and develop the lion inside of you. The final message of Courageous is from Joshua 24:1-33. The goal of this message is to help you make a confident declaration. Most of us doubt our ability to make and sustain commitments. That's because the majority of our commitments are more intellectual than relational. Both of are important, but our hearts must be the driver. This message is about rediscovering the feelings behind the facts. It's vitally important for our history and holy days to be more than facts and traditions. Ultimately, history is His Story. It is so important for us to revitalize the holidays by personalizing the story. We must go beyond honoring Jesus as the Savior, but worshipping Him as our personal Lord and Savior. For many of us, we are already married, but holidays are an excellent time to renew our vows. This message is an opportunity to command your heart to wake up and be renewed. It is so easy to become too busy, too distracted, and numb out. It is time to feel again. Listen to this message with a heart to respond and be renewed.

Look for supporting stories about this and much more from Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast in platforms like Medium, Newsbreak and Blogspot. The first was a deadly encounter in which Foster and his partner were involved in a shootout. “It was a fight for our lives,” he recalls. “One suspect tried to take my weapon. My partner and I had no choice, we shot to survive.” Tragically, another suspect opened fire, injuring Foster’s partner in the chaos. The gunfight was brutal and long, with emotional consequences that followed Foster for years. Police In Texas When The Shooting Stops, His Story. In another harrowing moment, Foster, then a sergeant, responded to an active shooter call in Fort Worth. “The radio was alive with screams. Officers were yelling for backup, and the killer was on a rampage,” Foster remembers. The suspect, involved in a violent domestic dispute, was believed to have committed multiple heinous crimes before the shooting. The stress of that day, like many others, compounded the trauma Foster was already carrying. Follow the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and podcast on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Newsbreak, Medium and most all social media platforms Diagnosed with CPTSD (Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), Foster has become a strong voice for mental health awareness in law enforcement. “We don’t talk enough about what happens to police when the shooting stops,” he said in a recent interview posted on LinkedIn and shared across Facebook, Instagram, and X. “The shooting might end, but the echoes stay with you.” Despite the trauma, Foster has remained a pillar in his community. He served as Chairman Emeritus of the Fort Worth Police and Firefighters Memorial, where he also acted as Research Director for over 23 years. In 2009, Fort Worth unveiled a million-dollar memorial commemorating its fallen heroes, an effort that meant a great deal to Foster. The interview is available as a free podcast on the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and podcast website, also available on platforms like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and most major podcast outlets. As an author, Foster co-wrote Written in Blood: The History of Fort Worth’s Fallen Lawmen (Volumes 1 and 2) with historian Richard F. Selcer. These deeply researched books chronicle the stories of police officers, sheriffs, and other lawmen who died in the line of duty from 1861 to 1928. The books are both a tribute and a history lesson, shedding light on the brutal realities faced by those who chose the badge. Police In Texas When The Shooting Stops, His Story. Foster also co-authored Fort Worth Cops – The Inside Stories, a gripping collection of over 100 real-life stories from the 1950s to the present. These accounts dive into gang violence, serial killers, and vice operations, but also explore the faith and resolve that keep officers going. “Our job isn’t just about enforcing the law, it’s about protecting people, even when it breaks us,” Foster said. His most recent work, End of Watch – Fort Worth’s Fallen Officers 1873–2024, continues that mission, documenting the ultimate sacrifices made by officers across generations. Check out the show on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Newsbreak, Medium and most all social media platforms Today, Foster speaks openly about his journey toward recovery. Therapy, faith, writing, and community engagement are all part of his path forward. “It’s a daily fight,” he says. “But I’ve come a long way, and I want other officers to know they’re not alone.” In an era when public trust and the role of law enforcement are under constant scrutiny, Foster offers a nuanced, honest perspective, one grounded in experience, pain, and hope. His voice is one of many in a growing movement that asks: What happens to the police in Texas, or anywhere, when the shooting stops? Police In Texas When The Shooting Stops, His Story. Police Orthopedic Surgery Led to Drug Addiction. His Story, Journey, And Mission. Special episode. In a profession marked by service, risk, and resilience, law enforcement officers often face challenges that extend far beyond their shifts. For Brock Bevell, a retired police officer from Mesa, Arizona, the impact of his service was life-altering, but his journey from injury and addiction to recovery and advocacy is a testament to human strength and purpose. Police Officer Attacked, Surgeries, Retirement, Addiction. His Inspiring Recovery. His Inspiring Recovery. She threw the truck into reverse and hit him, causing serious injuries. This interview is available on the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast website, on Apple Podcast, Spotify and most major podcast platforms. The Day Everything Changed While serving in the Mesa Police Department, Brock's life took a devastating turn during a high-stakes encounter. Attempting to arrest a suspect involved in trafficking her daughter, the suspect reversed her vehicle, striking Brock and his partner. The collision left him with severe injuries, including a broken ankle and damaged knee, necessitating multiple orthopedic surgeries. Check out and follow the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Newsbreak, Medium and most all social media platforms. These procedures, while critical for his recovery, introduced him to opioid painkillers—medications that, although effective for pain management, carried the risk of dependency. For Brock, the line between relief and addiction blurred, leading him down a path of profound struggle. Police Orthopedic Surgery Led to Drug Addiction. Look for supporting stories about this in platforms like Medium, Newsbreak and Blogspot. From Service to Struggle The physical injuries weren't the only wounds Brock carried. His forced retirement left him grappling with an identity crisis. “That was my identity. That's who I was,” he shared. Without the camaraderie and purpose of the police force, Brock turned to his prescribed medication, seeking solace. What started as pain management spiraled into addiction, unraveling his personal life. The effects of his addiction were far-reaching. Brock's marriage ended, his wife moved away, and his relationship with his five children suffered. His life, once defined by structure and duty, became chaotic and unrecognizable. Be sure to follow the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and podcast on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Newsbreak, Medium and most all social media platforms. The Opioid Crisis: A National Epidemic Brock's story is not unique. Each year, millions of Americans undergo surgery, and opioids remain a primary choice for postoperative pain management. Unfortunately, their widespread use has contributed significantly to addiction and overdose crises across the country. Studies reveal that over 80% of surgical patients receive opioids, with many prescriptions involving highly addictive drugs like oxycodone or hydrocodone. Police Orthopedic Surgery Led to Drug Addiction. Keep informed by following the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, MeWe, Pinterest, Newsbreak, Medium and other social media outlets. Platforms like the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast website, Apple Podcasts and Spotify make these stories more accessible. For law enforcement officers, the risks are compounded by the physical demands of their jobs. Injuries are common, and the reliance on painkillers for rehabilitation can unintentionally pave the way for dependency, as it did in Brock's case. The Turning Point Despite the darkness, Brock found his way to recovery. Determined to rebuild his life, he fought to overcome his addiction, drawing on a strength that had defined his years in law enforcement. Today, he channels that resilience into helping others. Stay up to date by following the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, MeWe, Pinterest, Newsbreak, Medium and other social media platforms. Brock founded Victory Recovery, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals battling addiction. His program goes beyond treatment, offering participants tools to rebuild their lives. A typical day starts with physical workouts, fostering discipline and camaraderie, followed by counseling sessions and job placement assistance. Police Orthopedic Surgery Led to Drug Addiction. But Brock's mission doesn't stop there. Every day, he drives through his community, reaching out to those struggling with addiction. He distributes Narcan, a life-saving medication that reverses opioid overdoses, and has personally saved 22 lives in just one month. The interview is available as a free podcast on the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show, which is available as a free podcast on their website on platforms like Apple, Spotify and most major podcast platforms. An Advocate for Change Brock's story has garnered attention far and wide, inspiring others through podcasts, social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, and even surprise features from news outlets. His appearances on podcasts available on Apple, Spotify, and Newsbreak share his journey and amplify his mission, breaking the stigma around addiction and advocating for reform in pain management and recovery systems. The Intersection of Orthopedic Surgery and Addiction Brock's experience highlights a pressing issue: the role of postoperative care in addiction. Surgical patients often face prolonged exposure to opioids, increasing the risk of dependency. Addressing this challenge requires a multi-faceted approach, including alternative pain management strategies, better education for patients, and robust support systems for those at risk. Police Orthopedic Surgery Led to Drug Addiction. His inspiring story is available across platforms, from LinkedIn discussions to viral threads on Pinterest, Medium, Blogspot and Newsbreak. A Mission of Hope Brock Bevell's journey from a dedicated police officer to a man battling addiction and now a beacon of hope is a powerful narrative of resilience and redemption. His work reminds us that recovery is possible and that even in the face of adversity, individuals can transform their pain into purpose. The interview is available as a free podcast on the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show, which is available as a free podcast on their website on platforms like Apple, Spotify and most major podcast platforms.
