Luego de Jesus establecer el nuevo pacto durante la pascua, se prepara para tomar la copa de Dios, sintiendo todo el peso del juicio de Dios viene a El en oración, sometido a Su voluntad de recibir la ira de Dios para que los hijos de Dios no la reciban más.
Jesus en las ultimas palabras del sermón del monte de los olivos, deja claro que la segunda vendida de Cristo El vendrá como juez a galardonar a los suyos y a condenar a todos los que rechazaron al Rey y Su reino. Como Cristianos debemos de agradecer que somos las ovejas de Su prado, sus hijos herederos del reino, que pasaremos una eternidad con El.
Jesus enseña su ultima parabola antes de ir a la cruz a padecer. Esta parabola de los talentos busca mostrar la diferencia entre estos siervos fieles y los malos e inútiles. Jesus nos recuerda la responsabilidad que tienen sus siervos, en la ausencia del maestro y la fidelidad en lo que El le ha encomendado a sus seguidores.
Jesús anima sus discípulos a estar alerta y listos ante Su inminente segunda venida. Igualmente el sermón de hoy persigue animarnos a estar alerta, y preparados haciendo de la palabra nuestra autoridad, manteniendonos despiertos y expectantes, y fieles mientras esperamos
Mateo nos muestra la tensión que existe entre la autoridad fariseos y escribas poniendo las leyes de hombres por encima de la palabra de Dios. Jesús el Mesías, demuestra como la palabra de Dios destruye el legalismo de ellos. Porque Jesús es el Mesías, la fuente de autoridad, el cristiano debe cuidarse del legalismo y hacer morir a todo legalismo que hay en su corazón.

En el principio Dios estuvo en perfecta comunion con el hombre, por causa del pecado esta perfecta comunión fue quebrantada. Juan quiere mostrarnos algunas evidencias o testimonios que afirman que Jesús es el Hijo de Dios, de manera que podamos ver la garantía que tenemos de vida eterna cuando tenemos a Cristo. Como creyentes: Podemos tener la seguridad que si tenemos a Jesús tenemos vida eterna.
Todo el que ha nacido de Dios y ha vencido el sistema de este mundo, por medio de haber creído en Jesús el salvador del mundo.
¿cómo podemos estar seguros de que somos hijos de Dios ? En este sermón veremos cinco pruebas que el Apóstol Juan ofrece para que tengamos seguridad de que somos Hijos de Dios.
Tres razones por que amar a nuestros hermanos/as en la fe.
Cuando la duda, confusión, y falta de confianza vengan a tu vida (si eres hijo de Dios), debes asegurarte en la verdad de lo que El ha dicho, orando confiadamente y viviendo como un verdadero hijo de Dios.
Todo el que es hijo de Dios seguirá el modelo de Jesús de amar a Su prójimo sacrificialmente, ya que el amor fraternal es una marca indispensable del cristianismo genuino.
Como Hijos de Dios, debemos de poder discernir entre lo verdadero y lo falso, los verdaderos maestros de los falsos maestros, observando si esas personas muestran un estilo de vida que refleja el carácter y el mensaje de Dios
Los Hijos de Dios tienen una nueva identidad que los identifica con su Padre y tienen el deber de modelar esta relación con El.
Los hijos de Dios deben permanecer alerta ante los falsos maestros, conociendo y permaneciendo en la verdad y en plena comunión con Cristo.
Un hijo de Dios, es alguien persigue intencionalmente hacer la voluntad de Dios.
Un hijo de Dios, alguien que verdaderamente le conoce y muestra su relación con El, obedeciendo sus mandamientos y amando a su prójimo.
Por que Dios es luz, todos los que tienen comunión con El debemos andar en luz y no viviendo una vida de pecado.
Los hijos de Dios, debemos mostrar y proclamar a Jesús, quien es Dios eterno, y por medio de quien tenemos vida eterna, y comunión con Dios.
