Pero yo y mi casa Por: Pastor David Ingman Esta iglesia fue edificada sobre principios firmes de la Biblia. Y uno de esos principios firmes es este: “Familias fuertes edifican iglesias fuertes”. Por eso, si nuestro enemigo  puede atacar con éxito la estructura familiar y causarle daño, entonces podrá hacer lo mismo con la iglesia. Mateo 16:18. La Palabra de Dios nos da esta promesa. Así que, después de años de estudiar este tema, creo que lo que Jesús quiso decir fue que la muerte y el poder de la tumba nunca serían lo suficientemente fuertes para destruir o atrapar permanentemente a Su Iglesia. Entonces, cuando Jesús dijo “no prevalecerán”, estaba diciendo que: “Las puertas del Hades no pueden sobrepasar, conquistar ni detener el avance del pueblo de Dios”. ¡Imagínense eso! Jesús nos estaba diciendo que nosotros, la Iglesia de Dios, ¡somos imparables! Josué 24:15c: “…Pero yo y mi casa serviremos a Jehová”. Esta proclamación es atemporal. Salió de la boca de Josué y sus palabras fueron una fuerte afirmación del compromiso de su familia de servir al Señor. Josué, como cabeza de su casa, proclamó y profetizó que, mientras él viviera, no permitiría que en su familia hubiera adoración o alianza con ninguna otra deidad. Como patriarca espiritual, ¿podía Josué dictar las acciones que tomaría su familia, así como las del pueblo de Israel? “Pero yo y mi casa serviremos a Jehová” es una declaración profética y una promesa de que vamos a hacer todo lo posible para asegurarnos de que todo lo que suceda dentro de nuestro hogar honre a Dios. También es una oración para que los hijos que crecen en este ambiente puedan permanecer en la fe de sus padres. Aquí debemos hablar también de los hogares de un solo padre, especialmente de las mujeres que han tenido que asumir solas la responsabilidad espiritual y familiar de sus hogares. Dios también las ve, las fortalece y las llama a levantar una casa que le honre. Josué 24:15. Este es un llamado de atención a la familia cristiana moderna. Nos desafía a que los padres hagamos una declaración diaria de liderar nuestro hogar en la fe, por encima del miedo y por encima de las distracciones de la cultura moderna. A esto se le llama “liderazgo intencional”, y consiste en tres cosas básicas: Establecer un estándar. Isaías 54:13. Los padres actúan como líderes espirituales practicando la devoción constante, la oración y la integridad en el hogar, en lugar de simplemente establecer reglas sin explicación. ¿Estás dándole a tu familia el ejemplo que necesitan para vivir una vida en Jesús, o les estás impartiendo un mensaje diferente con tus acciones? Deuteronomio 6:7 (NTV). Resistir los ídolos culturales. Las familias de hoy enfrentan prioridades que compiten entre sí: riqueza, comodidad, ajetreo, entretenimiento y distracciones digitales. Estas cosas pueden convertirse en los ídolos modernos contra los que Josué advirtió al pueblo. Éxodo 20:3-5 (NTV). Tomar decisiones diarias. Servir a Dios debe ser una decisión activa y diaria, no un evento histórico que ocurrió una sola vez ni una placa cristiana en la pared utilizada simplemente como decoración. Santiago 1:22-25. Debemos decidir servir a Dios y obedecer Su Palabra cada día, para que nuestra familia vea nuestra decisión y pueda seguir nuestro ejemplo. Si no somos intencionales en nuestro liderazgo dentro de la familia, entonces el diablo tratará de entrar allí para causar disrupción, engaño, confusión y caos. El enemigo tratará de introducir principios, filosofías y prácticas que no son piadosas y que definitivamente no están de acuerdo con los principios de la Biblia. Por eso, ¡observen de cerca la dirección en la que está marchando su familia! ¿Hacia dónde está caminando? Declaremos con nuestra boca: “Pero yo y mi casa serviremos a Jehová”. En la oración, Dios llena nuestro corazón de gozo, paz y misericordia. Desde esa riqueza, nos hace parte de su plan, invitándonos a llevar con amor a quienes están lejos, para que también ellos descubran cuánto los ama.

Las tres tierras Por: Pastor Rolando Rodríguez Lucas 4:17-18. ¿Cuáles son las buenas noticias para los pobres? ¿Acaso es decirles: “Resígnate, aguanta, así te tocó vivir”? ¡No! Las buenas noticias son: Dios te puede ayudar a salir de ahí. Aunque hoy estés pasando por necesidad, con la ayuda de Dios, vas a salir adelante. La Biblia nos presenta la historia de Israel atravesando diferentes etapas: Egipto, el desierto y la Tierra Prometida. Podemos ver estas tres etapas como una representación de diferentes condiciones y temporadas de nuestra vida cristiana. 1. Egipto representa la tierra de la esclavitud, la aflicción, la escasez y la necesidad. Israel vivía allí bajo opresión y no tenía libertad para decidir su propio destino. Éxodo 3:7-8 2. El desierto representa la tierra de apenas lo suficiente. Después de salir de Egipto, Israel tuvo que atravesar el desierto.Dios proveía, pero el pueblo tenía que depender de Él diariamente. Éxodo 16:4. En el desierto había para el día a día, pero no sobraba. Si ocurría algo inesperado, no había de dónde sacar. 3. La Tierra Prometida representa el lugar de la abundancia y de la provisión de Dios. Es una buena tierra donde hay más que suficiente; no hay escasez, hay producción, crecimiento, fruto y las necesidades son suplidas. Deuteronomio 8:6-10. ¿En qué tierra estás tú? Existen diferentes razones por las cuales una persona puede permanecer en la tierra de escasez o estancamiento: malas decisiones, pecado, falta de conocimiento, malos hábitos, falta de visión o incluso patrones familiares negativos o maldiciones generacionales. Pero, lo que ocurrió en generaciones anteriores no tiene que determinar el futuro de las siguientes. Conformismo no es lo mismo que el contentamiento. Este último es estar agradecido con Dios por lo que hoy tengo y por el lugar donde hoy estoy, mientras creo que Dios tiene algo más para mi futuro. En cambio, el conformismo es acomodarse y resignarse a pensar que la vida siempre será igual y que lo que tengo hoy es todo lo que Dios me puede dar. Muchos caen en esto por pereza, falta de visión o por buscar lo fácil. Pero recuerda: La gente que alcanza cosas grandes no es la gente que busca el camino fácil. Jeremías 29:11-12 (NTV). Las cosas que realmente valen la pena requieren trabajo, esfuerzo, disciplina y perseverancia. Dios puede llevarnos de Egipto a la Tierra Prometida. ¿Cómo llegar a la Tierra Prometida? Salmo 107:20. – Ora y lee la Palabra. Necesitamos una relación con Dios. – Créele a Dios. Hebreos 10:38. La fe nos mueve a actuar. – Siembra. Lucas 6:38. Diezma, ofrenda, sé generoso. – Prepárate. Oseas 4:6. No basta con orar por una oportunidad, debes prepararte para cuando llegue. A las oportunidades les precede la preparación. – Esfuérzate. Josué 1:9. No seas cómodo. Métele ganas. Un corazón por los perdidos Por: Pastora Chari Borja Según las estadísticas, alrededor de 170.000 personas mueren cada día en el mundo. ¿A dónde van? No podemos hacer mucho por todos, pero sí podemos hacer algo por las personas que Dios ha puesto a nuestro alrededor. Para ello, necesitamos tener el corazón de Dios por los perdidos. Lucas 15:3-10. En lo natural, una oveja sabe si está perdida.  Puede balar esperando escuchar una respuesta. Entra en pánico y puede quedarse paralizada o correr sin dirección. Si se asusta, puede quedar atrapada en los matorrales, estar a punto de caer por un barranco o quedar entre espinos sin saber cómo regresar. ¿Cuántas personas están así? Personas atrapadas en matorrales de pecado, en barrancos de depresión, a punto de caer; personas atrapadas en los espinos de la rebelión, la desesperanza, la soledad y el dolor. La oveja perdida es vulnerable al ataque del enemigo porque está sola. Y allí vemos el corazón del Buen Pastor: deja las noventa y nueve y va en busca de la que está perdida. Lucas 15:11-32. En esta historia, el padre estaba expectante y anhelante por el regreso de su hijo; por eso, cuando corrió a su encuentro, lo recibió con amor. Porque el corazón del Padre siempre espera el regreso de los pródigos. Debemos clamar por ellos, para que vuelvan en sí y regresen a casa. Lucas 15:8-10. ¿Por qué el Señor utilizó el ejemplo de una moneda? Entendemos el ejemplo de la oveja porque el Señor es el Buen Pastor. Entendemos el ejemplo del hijo pródigo porque representa el corazón del Padre. La moneda, en cambio, puede representar a esa persona que, aparentemente tiene todo bien en su vida: bienes materiales, éxito y reconocimiento, pero por dentro está mal. Está perdida dentro de casa y no lo sabe. La mujer de la parábola representa a la Iglesia. El Señor espera que nosotros, como Su Iglesia, tengamos el corazón para buscar a los perdidos. Así como la moneda, una persona que está perdida y no tiene una relación con Dios puede no saber que fue creada a imagen y semejanza de Dios. De esta parábola podemos aprender tres acciones fundamentales: 1. Toma responsabilidad por la pérdida. La mujer no se quedó indiferente. Se involucró. Buscó. Tomó responsabilidad. De la misma manera, no podemos ser indiferentes ante las personas que están perdidas a nuestro alrededor. 2. Enciende la lámpara. La mujer encendió una lámpara para poder encontrar la moneda. En aquella época se utilizaban lámparas de aceite. Esto nos recuerda nuestra necesidad de la presencia, la unción y la guía del Espíritu Santo para alcanzar a las personas con el mismo corazón de Dios. 3. Barre la casa y busca diligentemente. La mujer barrió la casa y buscó con diligencia hasta encontrar la moneda. Esto nos habla de limpiar la casa con la Palabra de Dios y permitir que el Señor quite de nuestro corazón todo aquello que puede impedirnos ver a los perdidos. La Iglesia debe ser un lugar donde las personas puedan encontrar el corazón de Dios, identidad, propósito y seguridad en Cristo. Isaías 52:7. Somos llamados a llevar las buenas nuevas. Vamos por las ovejas perdidas. Intercedamos para que los pródigos vuelvan a casa. Busquemos a aquellos que no saben que están perdidos, hasta encontrarlos. Y cuando los encontramos, los llevamos al lugar donde puedan descubrir su identidad y propósito en Cristo, y depositarlos en el corazón de Dios y en la casa de Dios. TENEMOS LA RESPUESTA Hay algo maravilloso que nosotros hemos recibido y que el mundo necesita conocer: tenemos esperanza, tenemos paz y, sobre todo, conocemos a Jesús. La Palabra nos recuerda que todo aquel que invoque el nombre del Señor será salvo, pero también nos hace una pregunta desafiante: ¿Cómo creerán en aquel de quien no han oído? ¿Y cómo oirán si nadie les predica? (Romanos 10:8-16). Tenemos que llevar la respuesta. Tenemos que llevar a Jesús dondequiera que vayamos. AMEMOS LO QUE DIOS AMA La razón para alcanzar a otros no debe ser una obligación, sino un genuino amor por las personas. Dios nos mostró ese amor entregando a su Hijo para que todo aquel que crea en Él tenga vida eterna (Juan 3:16). Y Jesús nos enseñó que debemos amar a Dios con todo nuestro corazón y amar a nuestro prójimo como a nosotros mismos (Mateo 22:37-39). “Lo que nos lleva a ganar a los perdidos es un genuino amor por las almas.” SEAMOS COMO EL BUEN SAMARITANO Jesús contó la historia de un hombre que necesitaba ayuda. Un sacerdote y un levita lo vieron y siguieron su camino, pero el samaritano lo vio, tuvo compasión, se acercó y actuó (Lucas 10:29-35). El samaritano también tenía cosas que hacer y un lugar adonde llegar, pero estuvo dispuesto a detenerse ante la necesidad de alguien. Jesús es nuestro mayor ejemplo de una vida entregada a los demás (Filipenses 2:7-11). No necesitamos tener todo resuelto para ayudar a alguien. Muchas veces, mientras nosotros también atravesamos procesos, Dios puede utilizarnos para llevar esperanza a otra persona. TODOS PODEMOS HABLAR DE JESÚS No necesitas ser pastor, líder o experto en la Biblia para compartir las buenas nuevas. Después de que Jesús liberó al gadareno, le dijo: “Vuelve a tu casa y cuenta todo lo que Dios ha hecho por ti” (Lucas 8:38-39). Ese hombre simplemente salió a contar su testimonio. “Un encuentro con Jesús es todo lo que necesitas para compartir las buenas nuevas.” Quizás esa persona está en nuestra familia, nuestro trabajo, nuestro barrio, nuestra universidad o entre nuestros amigos. NO SOLO ALCANCEMOS PERSONAS, CUIDEMOS DE ELLAS El buen samaritano no solamente se acercó al hombre herido; curó sus heridas, lo llevó a un lugar seguro y cuidó de él (Lucas 10:34). De la misma manera, nuestra misión no termina cuando alguien llega a la iglesia o recibe a Jesús. Debemos acompañarlo, cuidarlo y ayudarlo a crecer. Esta es la Gran Comisión: ir, hacer discípulos, bautizarlos y enseñarles, con una maravillosa promesa de Jesús: “Yo estoy con vosotros todos los días, hasta el fin del mundo” (Mateo 28:16-20). TENEMOS LA RESPUESTA Iglesia, hay personas esperando conocer la esperanza que nosotros ya encontramos. Veamos la necesidad. Tengamos compasión. Acerquémonos. Hablemos de Jesús. Hay temporadas en las que pensamos: “Cuando esto cambie, volveré a disfrutar.” Cuando llegue la respuesta, cuando sane, cuando aparezca el trabajo, cuando se resuelva el problema, cuando deje de doler. Pero Nehemías 8:10 nos recuerda algo poderoso: no tienes que esperar a que todo esté resuelto para volver a vivir. El pueblo lloraba al reconocer cuánto se había alejado de Dios, pero Dios no quiso que la convicción terminará convirtiéndose en condenación. Les dijo que celebraran, compartieran y siguieran adelante, porque “el gozo del Señor es su fuerza”. El gozo de Dios no significa negar el dolor. Puedes llorar, atravesar un duelo, tener días difíciles e incluso necesitar ayuda emocional o profesional. La fe no consiste en fingir que no duele. Lo que sientes es real, pero Dios sigue siendo verdad. La depresión, además, puede afectar a personas de fe y no debe interpretarse automáticamente como falta de espiritualidad.  Así que no conviertas una oración pendiente en una razón para olvidar todas las que Dios ya respondió. La felicidad puede parecerse a la lluvia y depender del clima; el gozo de Dios es como un manantial: su fuente está mucho más profundo. Hoy come algo que disfrutes, agradece, llama a alguien, comparte tu mesa, sirve, vuelve a hacer algo que habías abandonado y recuerda: No voy a posponer mi gozo hasta que todo esté resuelto.

Este Evangelio no se guarda Por: Ps. Martín Holguín Todos hemos escuchado la palabra “Evangelio”. La usamos tanto en la iglesia que, muchas veces, podemos olvidar lo poderosa que es. La palabra Evangelio significa “Buenas Noticias”. Pero debemos preguntarnos: ¿qué tan buenas son estas noticias? Para entenderlo, primero debemos comprender las malas noticias. 1. Las malas noticias: pecado y muerte Hay dos grandes problemas que afectan a toda la humanidad: el pecado y la muerte. Solo tenemos que mirar a nuestro alrededor: violencia, asesinatos, familias destruidas, corrupción, dolor, enfermedad y sufrimiento. Pero el problema no está solamente afuera. El pecado también está dentro de nosotros. Nosotros mismos somos parte del problema. Y luego está la muerte. Todos, tarde o temprano, enfrentaremos esa realidad. Por eso, para entender realmente lo buenas que son las Buenas Noticias, primero debemos reconocer lo malas que son las malas noticias. 2. ¿Qué significa realmente Evangelio? En la Biblia, Evangelio significa “Buena Noticia” o “Anuncio”. En tiempos antiguos podía utilizarse para anunciar una gran victoria o para comunicar que un nuevo rey había llegado al trono. Por eso, cuando Jesús comenzó a predicar, su mensaje fue: “El Reino de Dios ha llegado.” Jesús estaba anunciando que Dios estaba estableciendo su Reino en este mundo y que Él era el Rey. Pero Jesús no vino como los reyes que el mundo esperaba. No llegó con violencia, armas o una revolución. Llegó enseñando amor, perdón y reconciliación. Y cuando llegó el momento de enfrentar al poder del pecado y la violencia, Jesús no respondió con violencia. Entregó voluntariamente su propia vida. Lo llevaron a la cruz, pero nadie le quitó la vida: Él decidió entregarla por nosotros. Y la historia no terminó en la cruz. Jesús resucitó. Con su resurrección demostró que Él es el verdadero Rey y que tiene autoridad incluso sobre la muerte. 3. Esta es la Buena Noticia El apóstol Pablo resume el Evangelio de esta manera: Cristo murió por nuestros pecados, fue sepultado y resucitó al tercer día. 1 Corintios 15:1-4 Esta es la esencia del Evangelio: Jesús vino a traer el Reino de Dios, murió por nuestros pecados y resucitó para darnos una nueva vida. El pecado ya no tiene que gobernarnos. Romanos 5:21 dice que, así como el pecado reinó y produjo muerte, ahora reina la gracia de Dios y nos da vida eterna por medio de Jesucristo. Eso significa que en Cristo podemos vivir de una manera diferente. Ya no somos esclavos del pecado. Podemos dejar atrás nuestra antigua manera de vivir. Podemos aprender a perdonar. Podemos amar incluso a nuestros enemigos. Podemos caminar en una nueva vida con Dios. 4. Y las Buenas Noticias no terminan aquí El Evangelio también nos da esperanza frente a la muerte. Pablo dice: “La muerte es devorada en victoria.” 1 Corintios 15:54 Nuestra esperanza no está solamente en vivir mejor hoy. Nuestra esperanza está en que, así como Cristo resucitó, nosotros también resucitaremos. Por eso Pablo termina diciendo: “¡Gracias a Dios! Él nos da la victoria sobre el pecado y la muerte por medio de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.” 1 Corintios 15:57 5. Este Evangelio no se guarda ¡Qué importante es esta Buena Noticia! Pero hay algo que debemos entender: Las Buenas Noticias tienen que ser primero buenas noticias para nosotros antes de poder compartirlas con otros. Si realmente hemos entendido lo que Jesús hizo por nosotros, no podemos quedarnos callados. El Evangelio transforma nuestra vida y luego nos convierte en mensajeros de esa esperanza. Jesús venció el pecado. Jesús venció la muerte. Jesús resucitó. Jesús es el Rey. Y su Reino ha llegado. Esta es la Buena Noticia. Y esta Buena Noticia no se guarda. Se comparte. Testimonio Aquí puedes conectar con tu testimonio personal: ¿Qué hizo Jesús en mi vida? ¿De qué me rescató? ¿Qué cambió cuando decidí seguirlo? ¿Dónde puedo ver hoy el poder del Evangelio en mi vida? Porque el Evangelio no es solamente algo que creemos. Es una Buena Noticia que hemos experimentado y que estamos llamados a compartir. La entrada Este Evangelio no se guarda – Ps.
