The Agatha All Along podcast, aptly titled “Down The Road” is a ride! Coming soon to Neveroddoreven From talking about witchcraft and the nature of magic to debates about redemption, this podcast is a phenomenal way to spiritually feed faith. Especially in a way you wouldn't expect! The three of us talked about so many different complex human experiences as well as our own faith journeys as they intersected with a great piece of fiction. What an awesome way to do it! Being theologically informed by media in a way that transcends the traditional church context is a great way to look outside the realms of where faith can grow and where you can learn more. And, from an intergenerational perspective, can help to make talking about Biblical concepts, stories and history very interesting to interact with. To be able to combine a love for fiction and the supernatural with theologically-based discussions, we all were able to learn so much more about each other and our beliefs. To challenge faith is to strengthen it, and apparently relating to an evil witch can help too!
American Prosperity's Phil Kerpen discusses the ongoing debate over funding the federal government and avoiding a "government shutdown" and how the disfunction of Congress remains at the core of the problem.

I don't always subscribe to the notion that “everything happens for a reason,” but as the universe would have it, the recent loss of a mutual friend, Rainer “TITAN” Jenss, has reconnected me with a gentleman that I am now proud to call one of my closest friends and confidants, Tim “Tmac” McGuire. Among many of his distinguished designations, Tmac is the youngest of 8 children, a Villanova Wildcat alum, husband, and father of three, president of the National Merit Scholar Association, lifelong Deadhead and avid music fan. Tim shares his stories of getting turned onto the Grateful Dead, forcibly in fact by his eldest sister, in December of 1979 when he was told by his sister that he was joining her and her girlfriends on a little roadtrip to Cleveland and Pittsburgh to see the band. Little did Tim know that those shows, and that experience in general, would change the course of his life forever. We learn about how Tim first met Rainer at Villanova in the mid-1980's and how their bond was formed through a common love of music. Tim shares the story of how that connection stayed true through to Rainer's final days in the summer of 2024, when we as a group embarked on a pilgrimage of sorts so that Rainer could experience one of his favorite bands, Phish, for what would ultimately be the finale of his concert career. And finally, Tmac and I share why these two mottos will forever be our true north - SAY YES. DON'T WAIT.Join us and let's see where Tmac and TITAN'S energy takes us! #IFE #NFA I Know You Rider https://youtu.be/B3Xu-NbBy4Q?si=5BDVaP9vztwdFxfe https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/grateful-dad-friends/id1719166141?i=1000642887085You Can't Always Get What You Want https://music.apple.com/us/album/you-cant-always-get-what-you-want-remastered-2019/1500642838?i=15006430658:03Black & Blue https://music.apple.com/us/album/black-blue/259648487?i=259648531Goin' Down The Road https://youtu.be/KgNT6wJAAYo?si=CzUttI1a9fffuxsbClosing Song https://youtu.be/ukszF2RWLX8?si=lMvRE6NIksAAnUnV
The freight market outlook is set to improve next year following two challenging years for surface-transportation providers. In this Talking Transports podcast, Lee Klaskow, Bloomberg Intelligence senior transportation and logistics analyst, shares his 2025 outlook for the truckload, less-than-truckload (LTL) and railroads industries. Mid-single digit contractual rate growth, low-single-digit volume gains and improving utilization rates, could fuel a 67% jump in EPS for BI’s truckload peer group. LTL earnings growth may rebound as well, on the heels of continued pricing power and improved demand. Volume, revenue and earnings growth are poised to accelerate for North American railroads in 2025. Despite the more optimistic outlook, risks abound, especially from the incoming Trump administration’s tariff and immigration threats. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Release Date: 04-24-23Game Wardens and Houndsmen have always had a special relationship. Albeit, adversarial, it is a relationship that is steeped in mystery, misunderstanding and at times; outright hatred. It is a relationship that also comes with a long history and tradition. For way too long it has been widely accepted that the Houndsman's job is to outsmart the game warden and the game warden feels it his job to outsmart the Houndsman. An ignorant game that needs to be resolved.Seth goes to work in this episode to pry some of those tales from Chris. Being a Houndsman and a game warden Chris lays out some entertaining stories about his professional encounters with hunters and also talks about his frustrations in dealing with an ignorant bureaucratic machine known as government. This episode is filled with tones of laughs but also touches on the serious topic of how houndsmen can gain ground and earn respect from other hunters and policy makers. Chris also challenges game wardens to do better. No one is innocent and there is plenty of ignorance on both sides of the issue. The LAW is DOWN the ROAD! Tropical storm Helene devastated communities across Western North Carolina including Chimney Rock in Rutherford County, Swannanoa and Barnardsville in Buncombe, Crossnore in Avery, Old Fort in McDowell, Spruce Pine in Mitchell, and Hot Springs and Marshall in Madison to name a very few. This is not the first time that mighty waves of water have rolled through the region, causing devastation beyond comprehension. Singers and songwriters marked past events with songs, and it's likely the same will happen now.

Shortly after Jessica died, I started to travel down the road regret. suddenly I found myself in the state of “ wish I would have and wish I could have”. I wish I would have told her I loved her more often. I wished I would have not gotten so angry over petty things when she was growing up. I wish I would have stopped her from hiking that day. I wish I would have celebrated her more on her last birthday. I wished I would have laughed with her more. And the list goes on and on. But traveling down the road of regret led to dead ends and nothing but misery and pain. In this episode I talk about regret and how I have learned to stop it dead in it's tracks. History is a complicated business. There are high plateaus and also a good deal of swamp. The Little Bighorn battlefield in Montana was preserved in honor of General Custer who there gave his life along with his men of the Seventh Cavalry, a sacrifice that no longer strikes anybody as noble. What is the good of preserving an enormous site of military stupidity in an unjust cause? The granite monument on Last Stand Hill was put up in 1881, five years after the debacle. In 2003, a monument was erected to the Lakota, Arapaho, and Cheyenne who wiped out the arrogant jerk and his poor soldiers. Tourists still come to look at this, but why? It's a dishonest historical site: the reason for its existence is a piece of trivia, a few hundred white guys on horseback thought they could spook a few thousand Native men and they were dead wrong about that. But the larger context of the story is lost. The real enemy wasn't the Seventh Cavalry but the smallpox and other diseases that Europeans brought to the Great Plains that decimated the tribes. The whole wretched mess should be torn down and the land set aside for the instruction and practice of Native religion, the sweat lodge, the Sun Dance, the quest for visions and dreams, the worship of the Creator. CONGRESS KICKS THE SPENDING CAN DOWN THE ROAD And once again pass a giant Continuing Resolution to keep spending until the end of December. Do you really think they are going to craft and pass 12 spending bills before Christmas? No, they won't. That means either another Continuing Resolution or a giant pork filled Omnibus bill that allows everyone in Congress to hide the pork they are bringing back to their districts so they can keep getting re elected. I've got Former White House OMB Chief Economist, Vance Ginn, Ph.D., today at 2:30. We're talking about how Congress is pretending that there is not a spending crisis. It's time to address the root issue — overspending. Excessive government spending and deficits lead to inflation, higher prices, and a weaker dollar. When the government runs deficits, the Federal Reserve prints more money by mostly buying Treasury securities to cover the deficit. Find Dr. Ginn's website and sign up for his newsletter here.

The Other Side of the Story with Tom Harris and Todd Royal – When a rural township accepts a BESS system in its region, it opens the door to the installation of massive industrial wind turbines and solar energy facilities nearby. BESS systems can be considered a “gateway drug” to even more significant problems down the road. Unless you want the main street of your town to be marred by spinning turbines, as is now the case in...
“The journey ahead will be too much for you! God says to Elijah (See 1 Kings 18 and 19). For those who have been champions, for those who have felt like nothing but losers. For those disappointed, discouraged, despondent, confused, misused, and abused: The journey will be too much for you! Enough with the lie that 'God will never put more on you than you can stand.' That's nowhere near an accurate statement and will not hold up under thoughtful, theological, or experiential analysis. Sometimes life will collapse on you with the weight of multiple lifetimes; there will be too many challenges; too many burdens; too much tragedy. It happens with the news of a single, solitary catastrophe - or with the slow, accumulating of day to day weariness like silent, falling snow. Either way, sometimes it is all more than you can take. Sometimes life will break you. "But I know, as I read the history of our ancestors here in the Scriptures, and as I review my own life and the lives of those who kept faith to the end and beyond, is that God has a way of showing up and picking up his children when they have reached the very end of themselves. There is something about coming to the absolute end of strength, when another step cannot be taken; when another war cannot be fought; when another threat cannot be answered; when another precept cannot be believed; when another creed cannot be recited; when another day cannot be faced: Only then does God become God to the one who desperately needs God."
