Asbury Park Vibes had a wonderful opportunity to chat with the great Willie Nile. Willie Nile has been putting out albums since the eighties - four albums in five years. By his own words - he is more creative and energetic now than he ever was. His new release, "The Day The Earth Stood Still," was created and recorded during the pandemic, and represents Willie's mood and hopefulness during a bleak time in New York City.Willie Nile has played and recorded with a long list of greats - Bruce Springsteen, Ringo Starr, Tori Amos, Elvis Costello, Lucinda Williams, Ian Hunter, Barenaked Ladies, Joan Osborne, Cyndi Lauper, Levon Helm, The Chieftains, Taj Mahal, and Carole King.Willie Nile is a walking encyclopedia of the music scene since the 1980s and is ever hopeful that the world is a naturally good place! http://www.willienile.comhttps://twitter.com/willienilehttps://www.facebook.com/willie.nile
Hailing from Brooklyn NY Kasey Marcelle is no stranger to the bright lights and fast pace of the often clique-ish New York City Music and entertainment scene. An early affiliate with SESAC Performing rights agency, Kasey was afforded the opportunities like artist song writing bootcamps, and development classes that helped transition him into an premier level independent artist. "I want my new music to resonate stronger with people now. Before I was more concerned with getting radio acceptance, and that's cool, but I wanna use my music to influence people to live out their dreams also" Kasey says. With the release of his introductory Album titled #IamkaseyMarcelle one thing's for sure Kasey's aim is for the world to know his name. The directions in which this interview went... were so insightful and authentic. One of my favorite conversations to date.
