We are building products with different groups, so keep that in mind. 9:40 – Aimee: My experience in doing this is that I have found it very rewarding to share embarrassing experiences that I’ve had. My advice would to tell people to let their guard down. It’s encouraging for me. 10:26 – Chris: It helps to show that you are vulnerable and show that you are still learning, too. We are all learning together. 90% of our job is communicating with others. 11:05 – Chuck: Now, I do want to ask this... 11:35 – Chris answers. 12:24 – What makes you say that? In this episode of the Polytechnicast I have guest co-host Pete Stromquist with me to explore our approaches to keeping connected with our goals. In particular we dive into: how do we find ways to connect day to day and week to week with bigger goals? Also, how might we do this in a useful and not-too-intense way? And along the way we discuss physical tools and digital tools we use to help with goal tracking, journaling, and self-interviewing. Today on everyone's favorite podcast for conspiracy, the paranormal, & the all around fringe: How's it going Higherside Chatters? How we feeling? I have to ask because it's hard to beat back the oily appendages of the nefarious few with a cloudy mind, a stuffy nose, and all the fun stuff that comes with living in the poison environment the capstone cabal has worked so hard to make for us. Glysophate soaked produce, chemtrail filed skies, hormone injected meat, fluoride tainted water, and “petro-chemicles as medicine.”....it would hard to do a better job at the covert contamination of the entire system, while most people aren't aware it's going on at all. How convenient. But luckily we know better people, and there are many tips and tricks to shoring up your suit of armor we know as the “gut microbiome” It's hard to say if medical science just missed it, or if like so many other times, we've been given an incorrect assessment to keep us from the truth- but over just the last few years, information about the importance of the gut to our health and immune systems has really permeated independent health communities. And one of these champions of the New Health Movement is my main man John Brisson. John runs the website and wrote the book: Fix Your Gut.....and when he was hear just about a month ago: He opened up about the medical tragedies in his own life that fueled him to learn anything and everything about true health and repairing the damage the system has done...and went deep into some political think tanks, publishers, and unsavory conspiratorial connections in the more private, Plus show. Today we're going to expand on both of those topics- because we left more than enough meat on the bones....and judging by the overwhelmingly positive feedback I got from our last show- I'm sure we're all siked to have him back. Take a listen to the stuff you've been missing, the Gut Guru himself, the Great John Brisson. Want more from our guest? Our baby can sit up all by herself. She's also started the "backwards scoot crawl." CJ starts doing something we're calling a "war pat." We contemplate if CJ really likes us, or would just let anyone raise her. This is because we start her at a new child care center and the transition was surprisingly smooth. CJ picks up her worst cold yet. The congestion causes her to wake up every two hours. It's like we have a newborn again, zoiks! We (Alex & Bethany) go on our first date since CJ joined the family and get a babysitter for the first time. We also go out to dinner as a family and are blessed with a very special surprise from some amazing people. Remove the Guesswork: Health, Fitness and Wellbeing for Busy Professionals
Dom is an old friend of mine, and very recently she completed the Bournemouth Marathon, an amazing achievement which only about 1% of the population of the UK will do. Whilst she’s always been a runner, Dom made the connection between running and mental health, and found that if she was able to make exercise one of her non-negotiables, she felt better. In this episode, we discuss the other things that Dom does as part of her routine such as meditation, fresh air, cutting down on alcohol, prioritising sleep and ensuring she had the buy-in of her family so that these things were a consistent part of the diary. We also discuss how she blends this into a busy family life, including two children and an important role to play in the family business. This is a great episode to listen to if you struggle with prioritising exercise or time for yourself, suffer from stress or anxiety and are looking for some motivation and inspiration. Enjoy!
