New research reveals that thirty days of exposure to twenty-six hundred megahertz electromagnetic fields -- the same frequency used by four G cell towers -- caused significant DNA damage in rat blood cells. Turkish researchers used the gold-standard comet assay to detect genetic damage after EMF exposure, finding clear evidence of DNA strand breaks even when organs appeared normal. This study adds to mounting evidence that cellular damage occurs before visible tissue effects become apparent. In This Episode How cell tower frequencies damage DNA at the cellular level Why the comet assay is considered the gold standard for genetic damage detection What this means for everyday exposure to wireless infrastructure Featured Study Read the full study: DNA Damage Analysis by Comet Assay Method in Blood Tissue and Physiopathological Evaluation of the Effect of Quercetin on Kidney Tissue in 2600 MHz Electromagnetic Field Exposure See all studies at shieldyourbody.com/research

Dr. Emeran Mayer sits down with Taylor Bell, an Ivy League–educated former management consultant turned full-time YouTuber, for a candid conversation on authenticity, ambition, and the health consequences of living out of alignment with your true values.Through her story of leaving a high-pressure corporate career to pursue creative entrepreneurship, Taylor shares what it means to redefine success, listen to your inner voice, and create a life rooted in purpose and well-being.Together, they explore the psychological effects of cognitive dissonance, how chronic stress shows up in the body, especially through the brain-gut-microbiome system, and why self-trust and intentional living are essential for both mental and physical health.Dr. Mayer also discusses the physiological impact of chronic stress, the concept of allostatic load, and practical tools such as diaphragmatic breathing that can help restore balance and resilience in a world of constant pressure and comparison.Key Topics Covered:• The link between cognitive dissonance, stress, and physical health• How authenticity and purpose shape mental well-being• The hidden costs of over-optimization and burnout• Simple ways to live and work with greater intention• Why listening to your body is more powerful than tracking every metric• Breathing techniques to reset the nervous system and calm the mindThis episode is both inspiring and deeply practical — a reminder that true success isn't about constant achievement, but about alignment, fulfillment, and trusting the wisdom of your own body.As always, we invite you to share your thoughts in the comments and subscribe for more episodes exploring the science of brain–body health. This episode is brought to you by Mayer Nutrition. Many challenging medical conditions defy treatment and challenge clinicians to come up with innovative solutions—Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, fibromyalgia, Lyme Disease, Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS), Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and autoimmune conditions; add now the growing burden of patients with Long Covid and vaccine injury. Dr. Tania Dempsey specializes in treating these complicated chronic disorders. She has embraced and advanced a new paradigm based on addressing Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS). What is MCAS? How is it differentiated from ordinary allergies, and why are its symptoms so pervasive? What are its causes and triggers? What role for low-histamine diets? Antihistamines? Other novel medications? What nutritional supplements can facilitate its resolution? How does recognition of the contribution of MCAS facilitate treatment of patients suffering from Long Covid and vaccine injuries?

Extending our healthy years isn't just about eating well and exercising — it's also about the systems around us. Social policies, public health programs, and access to care all play a huge role in how long and how well we live. In this episode, we look at what it takes to improve health for everyone, everywhere. We each have personal choices to make, but what about the bigger picture?Dr. Tyler Evans is a physician, infectious disease specialist, and author of Pandemics, Poverty and Politics: Decoding the Social and Political Drivers of Pandemics from Plague to Covid-19.In a wide-ranging conversation with Peter Bowes, Dr. Evans connects stalled life expectancy to weakened safety nets, unequal access to healthcare, and the cracks exposed by recent global crises. He emphasizes practical action — meeting people where they are, funding prevention, and rebuilding systems that can spot and stop health threats early. Drawing on his experience from Los Angeles's Skid Row to global epidemic response, Evans calls for a non-partisan, evidence-driven approach that focuses on those most at risk — because when the most vulnerable communities thrive, everyone benefits.----This podcast is supported by affiliate arrangements with a select number of companies. On this episode of Vitality Radio, we tackle one of the most overlooked and misunderstood health concerns of our time: Histamine Intolerance and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS). These conditions often appear with “mystery symptoms” like skin issues, digestive discomfort, headaches, fatigue, and strange food or chemical reactions—many of which have surged in the post-COVID era. Jared explains what histamine really is, why your body sometimes produces too much of it, and how mast cells can become overactive, creating a flood of inflammation. You'll learn about the role of DAO (Diamine Oxidase), the enzyme that helps break down food-based histamine, and why supplementing it can be a game-changer for many. You'll also hear about supportive tools and practical strategies to lower your histamine load, calm mast cells, and rebuild gut health. If you've been dismissed, told it's “just anxiety,” or left without answers, this episode offers clarity, hope, and practical steps to explore. Relief is possible—and it starts with understanding the root cause.Products DiscussedAdditional Information:DAO Blog Post with High Histamine Food ListVisit the podcast website here: VitalityRadio.comYou can follow @vitalitynutritionbountiful and @vitalityradio on Instagram, or Vitality Radio and Vitality Nutrition on Facebook. A new study is challenging one of the most pervasive messages in health and fitness: the belief that 10,000 daily steps are needed to prolong life and prevent disease. Led by Professor Melody Ding at the University of Sydney and published in The Lancet, the study is the largest of its kind, analyzing data from more than 30 studies worldwide. Its findings suggest that significant health benefits may be achieved with as few as 7,000 steps a day—an attainable target for many who find 10,000 steps daunting. In this interview, Professor Ding discusses the scientific basis for rethinking our daily activity goals, how the research caught global attention, and what it means for public health recommendations moving forward. Peter Bowes speaks to Professor Ding to unpack what this shift in guidance could mean for millions tracking their steps around the world. Onion juice is a natural hair loss remedy for many different types of hair loss. Whether autoimmune, nutritional, or fungal, onion juice can help stop hair loss naturally and stimulate natural hair growth quickly. Onions are loaded with sulfur, an essential building block for keratin, the protein that builds your hair. Onions have a high amount of quercetin, which is beneficial for autoimmune hair loss cases caused by alopecia. Quercetin helps increase the growth hormones of the hair follicle. It's also a powerful antimicrobial, so it can help protect the scalp against the overgrowth of yeast, fungus, and mold. To use onion juice for hair growth, chop one red onion and blend it in a blender. Put the blended onion through a cheesecloth to separate the liquid from the pulp. Massage the liquid into your scalp for a few minutes in the shower. Don't rinse! Allow the onion juice to sit in your hair for 30 minutes to 1 hour.Rinse your hair and shampoo twice to remove onion odor. Do this twice per week for 4 to 6 weeks. You should notice hair growth after week 3 or 4!To increase the benefits of onion juice for hair, add 5 drops of rosemary oil. In a 2015 randomized trial, rosemary oil was found to be as effective as one of the top medications for alopecia. Rosemary oil has several anti-inflammatory and antioxidant phytonutrients that increase blood flow to the scalp. While onion juice for hair has been proven effective, fermenting it can increase its effectiveness! To do this, combine onion juice, 8 ounces of water, a teaspoon of sea salt, and a ½ teaspoon of raw honey in a glass or mason jar.Cover the mixture with a cheesecloth and allow it to ferment at room temperature for 72 hours. Welcome back to our weekend Cabral HouseCall shows! This is where we answer our community's wellness, weight loss, and anti-aging questions to help people get back on track! Check out today's questions: Felicia: Hello Dr. Cabral. What are your thoughts on this magnesium supplement ? Magnesium bisglycinate, fillers (microcrystalline cellulose, dicalcium phosphate), anti-caking agents (silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate), coating agents (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, glycerol). Worth taken or should I look for another one? Thanks for your help Audrey: Hi Dr. Cabral, Thank you for being my go to person for all of my health questions! What are your thoughts on taking creatine while pregnant? I am going to keep strength training throughout my pregnancy and am hoping this helps with maintaining some muscle. I've read great things about it helping mom and baby but want to know what you think. I know you cannot give medical advice. Thanks Elsa: Hi Dr. Cabral! Thanks for all the information you provide. I'm a fairly recent listener but already have learned so much from you. May God continue to bless you, your family, and your team. My question is regarding my husband. He did a genetic test and came out positive for the MTHFR heterozygous A1298C and COMT heterozygous G472A (Val108/158Met). I've listened to your recent podcasts on COMT, but my question is regarding supplements to avoid if you have this variant. He doesn't take any medications, and already takes methylated B complex to support MTHFR and high homocysteine levels (8.3). He also takes Vit C, Zinc+Copper, Mag, Vit D+K2, Omega 3s, Probiotics. The test results indicate to avoid Quercetin and Green Tea because they are COMT inhibitors? True? Thanks. Bettina: Hello Dr. Cabral. What are your thought on Super CitriMax for weightloss using a combination of 4500 mg Garcinia Cambogia with 60% HCA with 600 mg of Chromium and 1000 mg of B3 Niacinamide or B3 Nicotinamide? Thanks for your thoughts on this. Hannah: Hi Dr Cabral! I wrote in when you said the que was closer to 2-3 weeks and I haven't heard my question yet so this is incase my question got lost- myself and a couple of people I've met recently get an elevated heart rate when drinking alcohol (even 1 drink). This has never happened to me before and I'm very well hydrating prior, what else besides histamines could this be? Second, I have a very scant amount of blood per rectum every couple of days since starting the CBO, have you heard of this happening? I'm thinking to d/c citricidal early, I didn't test prior to CBO and only have 3 days left of that to see if it's related. Thanks for everything!!
