As we embrace the Easter season with open hearts, we're thrilled to welcome Ruthie Kim, who will be continuing our cherished tradition of a woman imparting the gospel message. Her unique perspective promises to enrich our understanding as we gather in celebration and reflection. This period also marks a time of joy and transformation, with over 40 individuals stepping into new life through baptism, symbolizing the profound journey of resurrection that we all partake in.Venture with us through the challenging teachings of Jesus, as laid out in the Book of Matthew, where the parable of the Kingdom of Heaven and the landowner turns our notions of fairness on their head. This narrative challenges listeners to grapple with God's lavish grace, a grace that is as confounding as it is comforting. It's a poignant reminder that in the realm of the divine, the last may be first, and the first, last, inviting us to find solace in our imperfections and assurance in His generous mercy. We then confront the corrosive effects of envy and the quest for contentment, delving into the spiritual malaise that can stem from a lack of joy in others' successes. Our discussion illuminates the dangers that envy poses not only to our personal peace but to the harmony of our broader faith community. Through introspection, prayer, and embracing the generosity of grace, we seek to cultivate a life of discipleship and genuine happiness, one where our will aligns with a higher purpose, enhancing our lives and those within our communities. Today, on the podcast, my friend Ruthie Kim is here! After years of leading a thriving non-profit organization, Ruthie felt God compelling her to pass on the baton. She realized that sometimes stepping away makes room for others to step fully into their potential. She was willing to move on so that others could move up. How incredible is that? Ruthie shares what that discernment process was like, how she combatted perfectionism in the midst of the transition, and how she desires to help everyone around her unlock their potential. You're in for a treat today, my friends! Ruthie Kim is an executive coach, an ordained minister, and a member of the teaching team at Reality SF church. She is a prophetically gifted and sought-after speaker and a relentless advocate for women and girls. Having grown up in the UK, Ruthie traded in the English countryside for the inner city of San Francisco, where she founded Because Justice Matters, an organization building pathways to brighter futures for women and girls in urban communities. Ruthie's passion for unlocking potential led her into the world of executive coaching, where she now specializes in working with influential leaders at key moments of transition. Ruthie loves taking her rescue pup, Callie, for walks on the beach and hunting for travel deals to satisfy her desire to explore and experience new places. Ruthie's life and work are greatly inspired and enriched by being a wife to Brian and mom to two boys.

Ruthie Kim teaches on the lies that fear tells us, our need to lay down the things we are afraid of, and the invitation from God to receive his Spirit of power. Slides available at https://bit.ly/3ylGp4Q
At 18, Ruthie Kim took a risk: she left her quiet village in the UK for the noisy city of San Francisco because she heard God tell her to go show His love to people on the streets. She admits now she had a ton to learn and one thing she learned from personal experience is this: when we take a risk and step out of our comfort zone, that's when we unlock our God-given potential. She now teaches and coaches others to do the same. She doesn't want to leave anything on the table; to not live out all that God's given her to serve alongside of Him for His kingdom I love that kind of surrender. I want to do the same: "Lord, show me what I'm missing. All great gifts are from You. I want to open them all, even the risky ones. Amen." When it comes to asking God for forgiveness, many doubt that God is willing to forgive them. Not only that, we likely mistake worldly sorrow with Godly sorrow and true repentance. From Psalm 51, a prayer of repentance from King David, Ruthie Kim shares about how passionate God is about forgiveness, and true intimacy with Him.
