Verse by verse teaching in Daniel 10:1-13 titled "Set Your Heart to Understand" by Pastor Jeffrey Anderson of Calvary Youth of Calvary Chapel Clayton, NC on October 9, 2024.
John 14:1
In a world filled with distractions, pressures, and the constant pull of materialism, it's easy to lose sight of what truly matters. As believers, we are called to set our hearts and minds on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God, and not be consumed by the temporary things of this world. But what does it mean to live with an eternal perspective? How do we practically focus our hearts on heavenly priorities in a world that demands our attention? In this sermon, we will explore Colossians 3:1-2, where the apostle Paul urges us to seek the things above, not on earthly things. We will unpack what it looks like to realign our desires and pursuits with God's kingdom, cultivating a heart that treasures eternal values over fleeting earthly comforts. By looking to Jesus as our ultimate example, we'll discover how to live with a heart fully committed to God's will, where our true identity and hope lie. Join us as we examine how to shift our focus from the temporary to the eternal, how to guard our hearts against the allure of worldly distractions, and how to live out our faith with a mindset that reflects the hope we have in Christ. Whether you're struggling with worldly anxieties or simply seeking a deeper sense of purpose, this sermon will challenge you to re-center your heart on God's unshakable promises and the eternal joys that await us in His presence. As we reflected on all that we've learned during our 3 part series (What is a Man? What is a Family? & What is Nation?), we could not help but celebrate the transformation brought about by our father as we have turned with all of our hearts to seek him. We marveled at the growth that has taken place in our lives as result of being challenged with our idolatrous views and re-imaging of God. As a result, we better are reflecting his full image more fervently and more accurately. And yet, there is so much still to learn about ALL of his ways and even more so in attempting to reflect ALL of his ways. This message from brothers Caleb Brown, Abimbola Daramola, and Justin Linton was a call to inspire us to rise up as a holy, anointed nation of priests and set our hearts to pursue all of God's character! He will meet us in this endeavor and strengthen his "Anointed Nation" of priest

Sit with this passage from Job 11:13-18 and set your heart on God. Lengthen your exhale as you let go of fear, doubt, and shame. So sit back, relax, and take it easy with God.
