Follow the fascinating story of one man's journey into the realm of the fantastic: the CIA-sponsored psychic spies with the ability to extend their consciousness to accurately describe targets not only half a world away but to look into the future as well. It all sounded like science fiction to John Herlosky after reading an expose by former member of the CIA's Project Stargate, Dr. David Morehouse. Two years later, skeptical but intrigued by the possibilities implied, John entered the classroom of Dr. Morehouse to find out the truth—and never looked back. Sorcerer's Apprentice is an autobiographical account of the author's experience learning the CIA-sponsored scientifically validated form of extrasensory perception called “remote viewing.” The book chronicles the author's journey from interested skeptic to operational remote viewer working his first mission as well as his former life as a police officer and private military contractor. He takes you on a journey from the crushing depths and pathos of the wreck of the Titanic to the fate of a downed pilot missing for 19 years from the first Gulf War. Witness the personal turmoil as the author's long-held beliefs clash with the powerful implications of his experiences.

Join us for this this week's episode "The Sorcerer's Apprentice". We talk millennials, pure embarrassment, weird "Uncle's", hot chick-nerd love, blowing up the city NBD, and why you never let some creep put a ring on you. Does this movie have us spellbound or are we hoping to be cut down in the crossfire? Find out now!
This episode is based on a poem by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe written in 1797. The Sorcerer's Apprentice is also symphonic poem by the French composer Paul Dukas, completed in 1897. The piece was based on Goethe's 1797 poem of the same name. By far the most performed and recorded of Dukas's works, its notable appearance in the Walt Disney 1940 animated film Fantasia has led to the piece becoming widely known to audiences outside the classical concert hall.

Connor has never seen this fantastical film about Nick Cage teaching a nerd to harness his inner spunk, so Cole shows him it. A deeply flawed movie with a nugget of greatness at the core, or so some say. Is it true? Find out this episode of Never Seen What!?
Alex and Tom gather up their dolls as they discuss the 2010 Nic Cage film The Sorcerer's Apprentice.
What we really wanted out of this movie was for Nic Cage to be as crazy as his hair, but, alas, we were fairly disappointed as we watched a psuedo-live-action-spiritual-remake of the Fantasia - The Sorcerer's Apprentice (2010). Listen this week as we discuss what could make this movie better. Enjoy and don't forget to vote!
A while ago we said we'd cover this steaming pile of a movie if someone retweeted us. Low and behold some one took us up on it. Sorcerer's Apprentice is a movie that defies all the odds. It some how found an actress that could keep her lunch acting like Jay Barbesol is endearing, and lured in Nicolas Cage with the promise of da monies to make the scary IRS happy as they garner his royalties. Lol, enjoy! Be sure to check us out at FrivolousFandom.com!

Medusa has long been described as a horrible creature. She is so horrible, per the story, that one who looks upon her will turn to stone. However, Medusa was just a girl, She was raped by Poseidon and she was beheaded by Perseus, but she was just a girl. Not frightening. Not horrible. That she has been blamed for her own death is anathema. This energy of blame is what violent people hide behind. The energy of blame acts as a shield--the Shield of Medusa. We can find this Shield of Medusa in the astrological chart. It's in your birth chart and it is in my birth chart. Medusa's Shield is not what we think it is and Linda describes the energy of the Shield of Medusa. This shield will play a big role in the upcoming election. 'E's a (hairy) wizard, is 'arry ... 'arry Dresden, that is, Chicago's only professional wizard and the protagonist of a book entitled Storm Front: Dresden Files Volume 1. On the plus side, a book called Storm Front featuring a dude named "Dresden" somehow manages not to go to objectionable places. On the minus side, this book is such a bland mess that even the climax explicitly having a wizard fight his foes by magically making a broom sweep those foes away, Sorcerer's Apprentice style, actually registers. Anyway, sub-Moonlighting flirting, a portrayal of lesbian vampires that would embarrass a Cinemax executive, and a narrator in a duster, cowboy boots ... and sweatpants. Yes, this book has "it" "all" for some very particular values of those terms, and it is our absolute pleasure to be able to escort you through the mean streets and magic-scorpion-ridden elevators of Harry Dresden's Chicago, so grab your slicker and get ready for some heavy weather, because what's moving in ... is a Storm Front! Nearly 60 years in the making, Fantasia 2000 marked the end of Disney's 20th century in film. The Media Ghouls have a lot to say about the new animators and musicians' approach to the Fantasia concept. With some very high highs and some shockingly low lows, Fantasia 2000 has much to offer in its short runtime. Emelynn describes her childhood field trip experience with the film, Heather struggles to pick a favorite besides The Sorcerer's Apprentice, and Ian reveals that he hates flamingos with yo-yos.

Josh and Scott are joined by friend of the show Steve Greene of Indiewire to talk about the film, its connections to Fantasia, the work of Alfred Molina, Nicolas Cage and his automotive loves, and whether or not this is the rare live-action remake to be so different from its inspiration to be enjoyable.
