(75:1) Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; (75:2) and nay, I swear by the self-reproaching soul! (75:3) Does man imagine that We will not be able to bring his bones together again? (75:4) Yes indeed; We have the power to remould even his finger-tips. (75:5) But man desires to persist in his evil ways. (75:6) He asks: “When will the Day of Resurrection be?” (75:7) When the sight is dazed, (75:8) and the moon is eclipsed, (75:9) and the sun and the moon are joined together, (75:10) on that Day will man say: “Whither the refuge?” (75:11) No, there is no refuge. (75:12) With your Lord alone will be the retreat that Day. (75:13) On that Day will man be apprised of his deeds, both the earlier and the later. (75:14) But lo, man is well aware of himself, (75:15) even though he might make up excuses. (75:16) (O Prophet), do not stir your tongue hastily (to commit the Revelation to memory). (75:17) Surely it is for Us to have you commit it to memory and to recite it. (75:18) And so when We recite it, follow its recitation attentively; (75:19) then it will be for Us to explain it. (75:20) Nay; the truth is that you love ardently (the good of this world) that can be obtained hastily, (75:21) and are oblivious of the Hereafter. (75:22) Some faces on that Day will be fresh and resplendent, (75:23) and will be looking towards their Lord; (75:24) and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, (75:25) believing that a crushing calamity is about to strike them. (75:26) Nay; when a man's soul reaches up to the throat, (75:27) and it is said: “Is there any enchanter who can step forward and help (by his chanting)?” (75:28) and he realises that the hour of parting is come, (75:29) and calf is inter-twined with calf. (75:30) On that Day you will be driven to your Lord. (75:31) But he did not verify the Truth, nor did he observe Prayer; (75:32) on the contrary, he gave the lie to the Truth and turned his back upon it, (75:33) then he went back to his kinsfolk, elated with pride. (75:34) This (attitude) is worthy of you, altogether worthy; (75:35) again, it is worthy of you, altogether worthy. (75:36) Does man think that he will be left alone, unquestioned? (75:37) Was he not a drop of ejaculated semen, (75:38) then he became a clot, and then Allah made it into a living body and proportioned its parts, (75:39) and then He made of him a pair, male and female? (75:40) Does He, then, not have the power to bring back the dead to life?

ABOUT MUHAMMAD Brother Muhammad is a Singaporean Muslim whose dream was to be super-wealthy and an all-rounded person in life. Betrayed by friends who he thought got his back, he strayed from his path, left Islam, and went in search of God in other faiths but was not able to find Him. During his search for God and his purpose and meaning of life, he found himself stumbling back to Allah and His last prophet, Muhammad (ﷺ). He looked deeper into his past faith as he pondered hard on the signs that Allah gave us, such as how our fingerprints are unique and can identify us and why people, even children, who are less fortunate still push on to live and serve humanity. "Does man think that We will not assemble his bones? Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips." Qur'an, Surah Al-Qiyamah, Chapter 75, Verses 3 to 4 Since then, brother Muhammad chose to reaffirm his Islamic faith as a Muslim. Today, he is an International Islamic and Multi-Religious educator of Buddhism, Christianity, etc.) and a holistic practitioner who has seen and treated hundreds of stroke, cancer, diabetes, and other chronic illness patients.. Points in Discussion - What was Muhammad's view of Islam and being a Muslim back then? - What led him to lose his faith? - What did he find when studying about different faiths? - How did Allah guide him back on the straight path? - How has his reignited faith changed his life?

Beautiful Emotional Qur'an voice
Al Qiyamah The focus of this talk is Surah Al Qiyamah, or ‘The Reckoning'. Shaykh Fadhlalla demonstrates how this surah, like most of the Meccan unveilings, emphasizes Absolute Truth; the end of time; the purpose of human life; our duty; and transition into the next phase. In the classical maps the human self, and its evolving nature, contains patterns and tendencies with several classifications. Shaykh Fadhlalla indicates how the spectrum of awareness and consciousness is reflected in this surah by considering the root words against the backdrop of prophetic teachings and the heritage of the Semitic Prophets so as to make the transmission of the Qur'anic revelation open to all. The metaphor and the spectrum of consciousness relating to the human journey dilemma and duty are presented. The Qur'an is miraculous in that it indicates how the gross physical connects to the eternal. The key note of this surah is the dynamic of action and reaction at play in existence and the cybernetic, self-perpetuating system of existence that calls to account, orders, and informs all outcomes and movements in this life. The profound condition of our total accountability for his experiences and interactions with the governing decree of Divine Reality, in combination with human limitation, is the central theme of this surah and discourse. Shaykh Fadhlalla indicates the appropriate means to imbibe and resonate with divine unveilings, prophetic conduct and transformation

The Resurrection is a forty-verse chapter revealed in Mecca. Most Meccan chapters deal exclusively with the fundamentals of faith, and this one concentrates particularly on the Day of Resurrection and humankind's habit of denying its inevitability. The name of the chapter is taken from the first verse, and it also describes the theme and subject matter. It is believed to be one of the earliest chapters revealed, and its style indicates that the concepts and teachings were presented to the people of Mecca in brief yet forceful sentences. This chapter predominantly addresses those who deny the Hereafter and replies to their doubts and objections.Verses 1 – 15 The inevitability of the Day of ResurrectionThe chapter begins with two short introductory sentences. God swears by the Day of Resurrection and by the self-reproaching soul. The Day of Resurrection is something that is inevitable; everything in this world will come to an end it is neither eternal nor everlasting. The self-reproaching soul is what we today call the conscience. Humankind is always questioning their actions, for example, in our minds we ask ourselves, should I have done this or that or perhaps something else. Thus God swears by two inescapable things. There will be a resurrection and people will always question themselves.Do people think that God will not be able to reassemble their bones? Because He can do that easily, in fact, He can even reshape the very tips of a person's fingers. But alas, people want to deny what is ahead of them, a day of certainty, the Day of Resurrection and mockingly asks when this day will occur? God answers that it will come when the eyes are dazzled, and the moon darkens. On that day the sun and the moon will be joined together, and people will ask where to find a place of refuge. On that day there is no refuge except with God. That is the only answer to that question. On that fateful and inevitable day, people will be informed about their deeds, good or bad, big or small; and even bear witness against themselves.Verses 16 – 19 Prophet Muhammad and the QuranThese next four verses give Prophet Muhammad, may the mercy and blessings of God be upon him, instructions regarding the revelation of the verses of the Quran. He is told not to rush when trying to memorize the recitation being revealed to him. God will most assuredly make sure you remember it. And when it is recited to you (Prophet Muhammad) repeat it, and God will make it clear and understandable for you. God takes total responsibility for the Quran, its revelation, its recitation, its collection, and its preservation.Verses 20 – 30 Opposite outcomesPeople love this fleeting life and are heedless of the Hereafter. On the Day of Judgment, some faces will be radiant and beaming, turned towards their Lord, looking at indescribable beauty. Others, however, will look dreadful and despairing, anticipating something devastating to befall them. Their sins and misdeeds cast a dark shadow over them. When a person is on the verge of death, someone cries out, "Who will cure him?" The person will then understand that he is dying. The road ahead becomes clear. It is the final parting, from his family, friends, and all worldly possessions. Shortly thereafter he is wrapped in his shroud and prepared for burial. He will then be led towards his Lord, as if in a procession, along a road that every living being will eventually have to take. Death separates a person from their loved ones and does not respond to pleading or an outpouring of grief. It takes the most powerful as easily as it takes the weakest, and the tyrant succumbs in exactly the same manner as the one who was oppressed. The chapter moves on from this distressing death scene, but its image remains in our consciousness. Verses 31 – 40 Arrogant rejection and the power of GodIn this life the disbeliever denies the truth, fails to pray, and then turns away, walking back to his people with arrogance and conceit. Some people refuse to do anything other than deny the truth. They do not fear God or prepare for the inevitable; instead, they indulge in sinful behavior not even bothering to conceal their arrogance. Here the Quran issues a clear warning to these people. Woe to you. Woe is repeated four times in two short verses. The day comes closer and closer; nearer and nearer. It is a strong threat, more than a warning. Keep in mind that when the time of death arrives, it cannot be altered, it cannot be moved forward or backward even by a nanosecond.Do some people really think that they will not be returned to the Creator for judgment? Humankind will not be left to wander about without purpose. Each person began as a drop of sperm, changed into a clinging clot (mass of cells) that God proportioned and shaped and made into one or other of the two sexes, male or female. Just as the reader recognizes the truth of this, the chapter concludes by asking a simple question. Knowing all this do people still think that God does not have the power to bring the dead back to life?_______________________________________By Aisha Stacey (© 2018 IslamReligion.com)Copyright © 2006 - 2021 IslamReligion.com. This Surah has 40 verses in 2 sections. The Surah talks about the spiritual resurrection of the soul when it becomes aware of its Lord and it speaks about the physical resurrection that will take place at the end of the world. Recitation: Shaykh Mishaari Raashid & Ibrahaim Walk using Saheeh International Translation. Thematic introduction: Dr. Muzammil H. Siddiqi.
Name The Surah takes its name from the word al-A`la in the very first verse. Period of Revelation The subject matter shows that this too is one of the earliest Surahs to be revealed, and the words: "We shall enable you to recite, then you shall never forget" of verse 6 also indicate that it was sent down in the period when the Holy Messenger (upon whom he Allah's peace) was not yet fully accustomed to receive Revelation and at the time Revelation came down he feared lest he should forget its words. If this verse is read along with verse 114 of Surah Ta Ha and verses 16-19 of Al-Qiyamah and the three verses are also considered with regard to their styles and contexts, the sequence of events seems to be that first in this Surah the Holy Prophet (upon whom be peace) was reassured to the effect: "Do not at all worry: We shall enable you to recite this Word, then you shall not forget it." Then after a lapse of time, on another occasion, when the Surah Al-Qiyamah was being revealed, the Holy Prophet involuntarily began to rehearse the words of the Revelation. Thereupon it was said: "O Prophet do not move your tongue to remember this Revelation hastily. It is for Us to have it remembered and read. Therefore when We are reciting it, listen to its recital carefully. Again, it is for Us to explain its meaning."Last of all, on the occasion of the revelation of Surah Ta Ha, the Holy Prophet on account of human weakness, again became afraid lest his memory should fail to preserve some portion of the 113 verses which were continuously revealed at that time, and therefore, he began to memorize them. Thereupon, it was said: "And see that you do not hasten to recite the Quran before its revelation is completed to you."After this, it never so happened that he felt any such danger, for apart form these three places, there is no other place in the Quran where there might be a reference to this matter.
