Scott Borgerson entered the Epstein story through his relationship with Ghislaine Maxwell, which was initially hidden from public view even as prosecutors later revealed she was married. Borgerson, a tech executive and former Coast Guard officer, was widely identified as Maxwell's secret husband after her arrest, and court reporting indicated the marriage became part of her bail arguments because her lawyers tried to present it as proof she had roots, assets, and reasons not to flee. Before that, Borgerson had publicly denied reports that Maxwell was living with him or that they were romantically involved, even as scrutiny intensified after Epstein's death and Maxwell went underground before her 2020 arrest. The relationship reportedly collapsed once Maxwell was jailed and facing trial. According to media accounts citing people close to Maxwell, Borgerson ended the marriage during a tense jailhouse phone call and had moved on with a yoga teacher, an account most prominently reported after Maxwell's conviction. That detail has the quality of tabloid humiliation, but it also fits the broader pattern of Maxwell's post-arrest isolation: the socialite who once moved through elite circles with Epstein was left fighting for herself, while even the man presented in court as her husband had apparently stepped away. In that sense, Borgerson's role is not central to Epstein's criminal operation, but it is central to the collapse of Maxwell's last public refuge — the private life she tried to keep sealed off from the wreckage around her.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.com

Content Warning & Disclaimer Please proceed with caution. This episode may be highly triggering for survivors of abuse and trauma. Listener discretion is strongly advised. This is part two, the final episode of a two-part story with Julia. The power in this narrative comes from the fact that our survivor, Julia, is a smart person from a good family living in Canada. If she could be coercively controlled, anyone could. She was raised to respect and be helpful to people, and she wanted to trust that everyone was basically good. It was a wonderful outlook on life until a guy named Damon came along. Damon knew how to put on the mask of a thoughtful, generous guy. A guy who had been wronged several times before by women. His presence completely mesmerized Julia right from their first phone call. As you are listening to this story, keep track of the warning signs that Julia either missed or ignored. There are many. Besides a full display of deception, mirroring, pocketing, manipulation, cohesive, control, future faking, gaslighting, financial abuse, and more, we also hear about the ways he isolated her. There are plenty of lessons to be learned. In listening to this story, we ask ourselves what is going on in Julia's mind. When will she feel she has experienced enough to say she was done with this abusive man? Keep in mind, this is a survivor story. So, no matter how bad it gets, it is good to know she will eventually get out. Keywords & Themes: Trauma bonding, overcoming domestic abuse, single parent family struggles, Louisiana true story, healing from childhood trauma, women's empowerment memoir, resilience stories 2026. Host: Bill Mitchell If you're experiencing intimate partner abuse, coercive control, or narcissistic abuse—or if you suspect someone you care about is—Riel's story offers critical perspective on spotting red flags early, breaking free, and finding support. Am I the Jerk? is the show where you can confess your deepest darkest secrets and be part of the conversation.
Have you ever had a really big vision of doing something, and then the way it turned out was actually very different from what you had planned? I think this is almost universal for us as humans. Think back to when you were a teenager. You probably had some ideas about becoming an adult and what that would look like. What kind of career you might have, or not. Finding a partner if you wanted one. Thinking about being a parent, or not having kids at all. A lot of young people have this vision of how they think their life is going to play out. And at that age, we don't really have enough experience to know that those things almost never actually play out exactly as you expect them to. I mean, just by listening to the guests that I talk to here on the podcast, we know that things happen that we never would have imagined – and life can take a completely different path. My guest today is Mae. In high school, she had her life planned out. She had already met and was in love with her life partner, and they were going to get married as soon as they could, and they were going to have children, and live happily ever after. That's not what happened. This episode has a content warning for domestic abuse and graphic sexual violence, because the fairy tale life Mae had planned gradually turned into a nightmare. Until she finally decided that she'd had enough. The Rickey Smiley Morning Show delivers a lively mix of inspiration, headlines, and culture—starting with a powerful prayer to set the tone before diving into conversations that blend community impact with trending entertainment news. One of the biggest highlights is attorney Ben Crump teaming up with LL Cool J to launch a financial literacy platform aimed at underserved communities, offering tools and education to help close the wealth gap and support unbanked Americans. The show also unpacks Gayle King’s headline-making interview, where her ex-husband publicly apologized for cheating with one of her close friends years ago—a deeply personal story she says many women can relate to, even after time and healing. On the entertainment side, the crew reacts to K. Michelle making it clear she has no interest in collaborating musically with her fellow Real Housewives castmates, saying she’s focused on her own established career and not “dabbling” outside her lane. Meanwhile, hip-hop fans have something to look forward to as Lil Wayne confirms that Tha Carter VII is “coming soon,” though he admits the title and timing are still up in the air as he continues to stack new music. Here's what's going on this episode: - The Cuss Jar Resurrection — It was lost in the move, it ended up in a Corvette trunk, and it has been returned to its rightful place. Order has been restored. - Dino Shows Up With Zero Warning — Her dad drove two hours, showed up unannounced, raked zero leaves, borrowed Gabe's clothes because he packed no bag, and watched Street Outlaws. Classic Dino behavior and we love him for it. - The Big Girl Code Question — Would you date your best friend's ex or their man? They go there. Fully. Including the confession about showing up to a friend's wedding with the guy in question, the time one of them gave an ex away and he had a baby with the friend, and a deep dive on why loyalty runs so much deeper than most people realize. - Summer House Is Giving Chaos — Ten seasons in and things have truly gone off the rails. There's a divorce, a best friend dating the ex-husband, and a Loverboy drink company that apparently saw a 40% sales spike from the drama. Is it real? Is it a publicity stunt? Either way, it's giving a lot, and they're breaking it all down — including why jumping from one situation straight into another never, ever works the way you think it will. - The Counselor Session That Went Deep — A truly powerful moment this episode: she shares what her counselor helped her understand about why loyalty is her core value, what her parents' suicide as a child told her about her own self-worth, and why letting someone into her circle means everything — and why betrayal cuts harder than most people could ever imagine. - Snuggle Science — Devon needs full bear hug contact to fall asleep, Gabe is out in 60 seconds flat, and Maggie falls asleep the second he gets in the bed. Comfortable love hits different. This is the episode where the real talk gets REAL real, the laughs hit hard, and by the end you're gonna wanna call your best friend and tell her you love her. And check her vibe around your ex. Just saying.

This conversation is for the woman who has ever felt overlooked, abandoned, or stuck in cycles she did not know how to break. It is for the single mother trying to survive, the woman carrying shame from her past, and the person who needs to be reminded that God still restores, heals, and makes beauty out of broken places. Some stories are hard to tell, but they are necessary to tell because healing often begins when truth is finally brought into the light. In this episode of Between Me and You, I sit down with Nakisha Henderson for a deeply honest conversation about trauma, abandonment, toxic love, survival, healing, and the kind of restoration only God can bring. She opens up about how childhood abandonment shaped the way she saw herself, how it created a deep desire to be chosen, and how that wounded place followed her into a painful and unhealthy marriage. This episode is not just about what she survived. It is about what she learned, what God healed, and how she found her way back to wholeness. We talk about the effects of domestic violence, emotional trauma, the reality that hurt people really do hurt people, and the weight of trying to hold a family together when everything around you is breaking. Lakeisha also shares how those experiences shaped the way she thinks about her daughters, the lessons she hopes they carry, and why it is so important for women to heal so that pain does not continue passing from one generation to the next.If this conversation speaks to you, click the link in the description to join our community.
