Starting this Sunday in the trial of Jesus leading into his death and resurrection in the coming weeks.
Every stage of Jesus' arrest and trial—arrest, hearing, council, interrogation, and sentencing—was a complete corruption of the very justice system meant to protect the innocent, revealing the depth of human sin and injustice. Yet in that very corruption, the sinless Christ willingly stood condemned, demonstrating both His innocence and the brokenness of those judging Him.
Fr. Peter turns to the third shedding of Christ's blood — the wounds inflicted on his face during the long night of his trial. Drawing on Isaiah's prophecy of the suffering servant, St. Peter of Alcantara, Cardinal Newman and St. Bonaventure, he traces the abuse our Lord endured from the House of Annas to the […] L'articolo Catechesis – The Third Shedding of Blood: The Trial of Jesus – Fr Peter George Flynn OFM proviene da Radio Maria.
Welcome to the Live for More Podcast from River Oak Church in Chesapeake, Virginia. In this episode, Pastor Zach sits down with Pastor Eric to talk about two things many believers want help with:- How to study the Bible faithfully- How to teach it clearly—at home, in a group, or in the churchPastor Eric walks through his real sermon preparation process—how he studies verse-by-verse, identifies themes, builds a clear outline, and then connects the text to real life in Chesapeake in 2026. You'll also hear practical recommendations for tools like study Bibles, Blue Letter Bible, Bible Hub, trusted commentaries, and why you should avoid jumping to commentaries first. This conversation also models how to read Scripture with context and apply it without twisting it—using Mark 15 (Jesus' trial and Barabbas) as a case study. We talk about the danger of comfort, the fear of man, the temptation to “satisfy the crowd,” and how the innocence of Jesus exposes the darkness in every human heart. If you're a parent, small group leader, student, or new believer who wants to grow in Bible confidence—this episode is for you.
1. Jesus is the sovereign one; 2. Jesus is the silent one; 3. Jesus is the substitutionary one; 4. Jesus is the sinless one; 5. Jesus is the shunned one; 6. Jesus is the suffering one.
Every year around Christmas, Palestinian Arabs, the Palestinian Authority, and other detractors of Israel use the Christmas season to promote lies of Jesus being a Palestinian, the first Palestinian, a Palestinian martyr, and other tropes that are baseless historically and according to Christianity. These tropes not only undermine the fact that Jesus was a First Century Jew and Jewish history, but undermine the very underpinnings of Christianity. This year, two years into the ongoing war that started October 7, where the war on truth is no less a problem. Dr. Michael Brown unpacks why this is wrong on all the levels prophetically, and it is a must listen for anyone truly seeking the truth. Luke 22:63-23:5 May 25, 2025 AM.Jesus was mocked and beaten by the temple officers. He was unjustly tried by the Jewish San Hedrin council. He was dismissed and not protected by Pilate. But He did not respond in kind, instead committing Himself to God. We learn from His example how to suffer persecution. Will you treat Him like the officers, or like the San Hedrin, or like Pilate? Or will you consider His great love for you and acknowledge that He gave Himself for you to deliver you from the wages of sin?
The trial of Jesus did not end 2,000 years ago when He stood before those who would condemn Him—it continues today in each of our hearts. Click here to see the speech page.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The Trial of Jesus Part 2 | John 18-19 | 4-6-25 by Clear Water Church
This week, we saw Jesus betrayed by those He loved and put on trial by the religious leaders. He allowed Himself to be bound so that His followers could experience true freedom. In the face of testing, He remained silent—receiving these moments as part of the Father's plan for salvation.Today, Jesus invites us to be "arrested" with Him—to silently receive both the Father's plan and His method for shaping us into the image of the Son.

Jesus' judges didn't want to consider the truth. They knew He had performed miracles, they knew He had raised Lazarus (in fact that was event that made them decide He must die), they knew large group of armed men had fallen to the ground at the power of His voice when He was arrested, they knew He had compassionately reattached Malchus's ear, they knew they could find no credible witness against Him of any sin. But they wanted Him gone and out of their lives… and they rejected truth. Get a FREE copy of our eBook "What Really Happens After Death?" This series is a study of the gospel of Luke. Luke was a traveling physician and companion of the Apostle Paul. Each week, as we study Luke, we seek to find the prescription that this Christian doctor would prescribe for us to become more like Jesus.
