Abortion is the leading cause of death in both the United States and the world. In terms of death count, it's the worst human rights atrocity in history…and yet, we all live alongside people who support—or even celebrate—abortion. Should we be treating the abortion advocates in our communities like they are genocidal maniacs? And does the fact that we don't mean we don't really believe our own argument that abortion kills an innocent human being? On this episode of The 40 Days for Life Podcast, we talk about why pro-lifers don't burn cities and cancel the abortion supporters we know and love.
We belly up to the bar with Mickey Z of the Post-Woke Podcast. We make many left turns too what kinda food Mickey like to how I wish I would have studied theology and not human resources. Mickey gives us a look into someone that spent their time on the side of fighting for justice only to see that it left him on the sideline. Welcome to another episode of the Young Dumb & Woke Podcast! Today's episode is one I am very proud of and really has the ability to change people's lives. I had the great honor of chatting with the Silicon Valley Porn Star, Jason Portnoy. I first learned about Jason through listening to an episode of one of my favorite Podcasts, The Tim Ferris Show, where he and Tim had a conversation that fully captivated me. Jason is first and foremost a fantastic human being, who goes to incredible depths of vulnerability to share his story with the world, in his new book titled Silicon Valley Porn Star. Along with his recent author title, Jason is an Entrepreneur & Venture Capitalist, who began his career at PayPal, working closely with technology icons like Peter Thiel, Elon Musk, Max Levchin, and Reid Hoffman. He served as the first Chief Financial Officer of Palantir Technologies (NYSE: PLTR) and later founded Oakhouse Partners, a top-performing venture capital firm. Evidently, Jason's credentials are hard to top, and as much as I would have loved to just talk with him about his wealth of knowledge & stories in the business world, our conversation more focuses on topics that are even more captivating and impactful. Topics such as the “gateway drug” of porn, addiction, what healthy masculinity should look like in our modern day, the power of vulnerability, childhood programming & breaking generational curses, the importance of climbing your spiritual mountain, and much more. This conversation with Jason, and I truly mean this, was one of my favorite ever conversations I've had with someone, recorded or not. I got so much out of Jason's wisdom and felt energized during our entire conversation, especially because we really dove into topics that are often avoided (but desperately need to be talked about) in our culture. I hope you feel the same way.You can watch the video version of this episode on the Young Dumb and Woke YouTube ChannelIf you enjoyed the conversation, please don't forget to leave Young Dumb & Woke a 5-star rating on Apple and Spotify! You can find Jason @ https://www.jasonportnoy.com/Follow us on Instagram:@gideon_davis @youngdumbwokepod

On this episode of the Young Dumb & Woke Podcast, I had the true privilege of interviewing Mike Nilson. Mike is not only extraordinarily successful in a multitude of areas - he's also just a really incredible human being. He's the Head Strength Coach at Gonzaga University, host of his own Podcast, an owner of U-District PT, a sports nutritionist, and holds a master's degree in Leadership. In this conversation, Mike and I get into what it took to walk on at Gonzaga (including carrying a basketball with him EVERYWHERE he went), what true commitment can do to your life, the value of good parenting & family, how to maintain a healthy relationship, the importance of fighting the victim mentality, our mutual love for guitar, choosing one topic per year to learn about & studying it EVERY DAY, why the one thing he would tell himself at my age is “start the calendar earlier,” and more! I know you will walk away from this conversation feeling more inspired, grateful, and with more tools to get the most out of life. I hope you enjoy this wide-ranging conversation with the one and only Mike Nilson! If you did – don't forget to leave a review and a 5-Star rating on both Apple and Spotify. Also, humans are always looking for permission from others for the path to success. But maybe if you have not seen it done, it doesn't mean it's not for you but actually means you are the permission giver? Jerremy discusses the idea that we should stop playing small. Britnie discusses what happens when you have clarity and just how fast things can happen – are we “find a way” type people or “find an excuse”? Even holy sounding excuses sound good, but what really comes out when your fruit is squeezed? Jerremy talks about labels given to us by society or family/friends. We either have the opportunity to embrace these labels and focus on a path of negativity and failure, or we choose to simply recognize those labels are there and instead choose to focus on a path of clarity that will lead to growth and hyper-impact.
