“And so all of our activities, all of our food, all of our ethos gets you to a place of just absolute peace. With that peace, you can find whatever it is that you're needing to break through. And once you break through, you can serve more than just your own problems. You can start solving these problems in the world.”We're in great company with Britnie Faith Turner, the Founder and Owner of The Aerial, BVI, a private island experience with the best views in the British Virgin Islands that acts as a force for good. What appears as an all-inclusive eco-resort goes well beyond just that—serving as an incubator for positive transformation, delivering a never-before-seen kind of luxury for its guests.Yet The Aerial, BVI is only a small piece in Britnie's larger plan to build numerous businesses that are for purpose, not for profit. As Britnie tells of the serendipitous beginnings of each, the story reveals a theme of elevating people and places through the pursuit of excellence. In this episode, as we celebrate Women's History Month around the world, Britnie encourages us all to travel the world and discover our own ‘Aerial'—that higher perspective where we realize we are a part of something bigger than ourselves. Top Takeaways[2:00] From humble beginnings living in her car while working for free, Britnie developed an eye for excellence—as she witnessed third-world poverty alongside first-world despair, realizing her mission would take her far beyond material success.[4:50] How an unexpected vision led Britnie to turn from mindful revitalization of dangerous neighborhoods to journey to find an island sanctuary where she would invite visitors to awaken their own transformational potential. [10:10] Britnie grew up self-admittedly hating wealthy people, yet before long, she sought out to surround herself with some of the richest people on the planet—finding this sense of discomfort and dreaming contagious.[15:00] Buying and building on a private island is not as easy as one might imagine—and yet even through a devastating divorce, two category-five hurricanes that annihilated the BVI, and a grand opening that coincided precisely with the global COVID-19 pandemic, Britnie's faith was unwavering. [24:15] Inspired by personal passions, chance encounters, and loved ones, Heal the Heroes transforms troubled veterans and first responders into humanitarian operators—creating an 'army of good' that has rescued over 8,400 people from trafficking and disasters. [30:25] From sunrise to sunset, The Aerial, BVI captures the sacred healing properties of the Island—sharing it with guests through locally sourced cuisine, uniquely created accommodations, and an abundance of wellness activities. [35:20] Why “Purpose Luxury” is the perfect blend of excellence and impact, and how the future of luxury travel provides those who have everything and yet nothing, with the one thing that some seek and everyone deserves—peace. In this powerful episode, Kelly and Britnie take us on a journey through the intersection of purpose, passion, and entrepreneurship. From the emotional highs and lows of pursuing your calling to the transformative power of business done with integrity. Tune in as Britnie discusses everything from emotional elevation to intentional living, offering practical wisdom for anyone looking to heal, elevate, and transform their life. Britnie Faith Turner has been on a mission of being a force for good from the age of 12. She bought her first house at 18 and started her real estate development career during the greatest real estate recession in US history while living in her car and working for free. A mere 6 years later she won the ‘Forbes 6th fastest growing Woman-owned / Woman-led Company in the World' and bought a private island in the British Virgin Islands. As the owner of The Aerial, BVI she took her passion for elevating people and places and turned this private island into a space that heals, elevates and transforms the lives of those who visit. Turner is currently scaling the model to more resorts and healing centers with the goal of helping even more people. She is impacting lives through her resort and its programs but she is also using the island to restore struggling veterans and first responders. Through her non-profit, Aerial Recovery, these Heroes go through a year-long program and become Humanitarian Special Operators that in turn, rescue vulnerable people from sex trafficking and natural disasters. To date, Aerial's programs have helped with suicide prevention for over 150 Heroes and these Heroes have led to the rescue of over 8,000 people around the globe. [6:37] Eye-Opening Mission "I was angry because I dedicated my life to anti-trafficking, but now I am seeing kids starving, and I see women getting horrifically abused." [8:30] Elevating Emotions with Passion "Your purpose is gonna take you to a heightened level of anger or sadness." [12:56] Business for Good "I've learned that business so I could be a force for good." [23:27] Fool to Genius "You might really have to look like an idiot until you look like a genius." [33:04] Business Bound "If I had to be in business I'm still gonna do good with it." [40:42] The Entrepreneurial Brain "We've created a program called Heal the heroes." [46:11] Restored Lives “Our promise is that we provide healing through purpose.” [50:07] Consequential Choices "There's so much that happens if you do and if you don't." [55:46] Stop Trafficking "I would be more sad to do nothing, and I know that I probably cannot stop all the trafficking on the entire planet in my lifetime. But, by God, I'm gonna do it for the one." [1:00:42] Intentional Living "Being good is not living intentionally." How many tattoos did Britnie get in preparation for this season? What other big news happened in their personal lives since Season 2? Britnie discusses what happens when you have clarity and just how fast things can happen – are we “find a way” type people or “find an excuse”? Even holy sounding excuses sound good, but what really comes out when your fruit is squeezed? Jerremy talks about labels given to us by society or family/friends. We either have the opportunity to embrace these labels and focus on a path of negativity and failure, or we choose to simply recognize those labels are there and instead choose to focus on a path of clarity that will lead to growth and hyper-impact.
