The Delivering Dunamis Podcast is dedicated to creating a platform committed to magnifying God’s Strength and His Will. Here you will find stories of God’s amazing redemptive and transformative POWER that are inspiring, thought provoking and often, comple
The forecast shows a chance of storms... Such is life. There will always be a risk of adverse conditions. You cannot sit and wait for a string of sunny days or for all the stars to align before you take a step forward... Your life will waste away in the hesitation. It's impossible for the human mind to perceive what lies ahead. That's out of our pay grade. Only God knows. And He's not asking for our buy in on the days when we feel safe and secure. He's asking us to go ALL IN in faith and trust Him even when the road ahead seems uncertain. He will reward our obedience. He will be our cover when the storms arrive. And on the journey He will reveal to us the depth of His love, power and compassion. But we must first have the courage to trust the Holy Spirit. Don't sit idle waiting for rain... Be bold. Step forward in faith and take hold of the life to which He has called you. Check out my book The Devil and the Children of God at the End of the World here
The world is continuously pushing us to do more and be more. We can easily get consumed by the busyness. And we can become very rigid in allegiance to our routines if we're not careful. The reason that this is a concern is because often our daily commitments lack flexibility for God's spontaneity. The Holy Spirit may be nudging us, but are we listening? Or are we drowning out that Voice in our loyalty to the chaos? Before you resist the moment that God has you in, pause for a moment and think about HIS intention... Perhaps He has you “Right Where You Need To Be”... Create some space for His Will to be done. And trust that He knows best, always. "Words do matter." This was a text that I received from my father a few weeks before his passing. It arrived on day 8 of his initial 10.5 day stay in the hospital at the front end of March. My dad was struggling with COVID related pneumonia, but the Holy Spirit was beginning to act in an extremely powerful way in his life. He was on fire... Touching the lives of every member of the care team that he encountered... Blessing them with love, encouragement, wisdom and hope. God's Voice was being magnified through him. It was beautiful to witness. On March 9th, my father shared with me that he had brought a member of the food service staff to tears simply by sharing his appreciation and allowing kindness to flow purely from his heart. Words matter. They sure do, Dad. When we live by the Spirit, we bear Its Fruit, and God's Perfect Words flow freely from our lips without restraint in the very moments when our brothers and sisters need them most. What a beautiful example you set for us… Well done, faithful servant. Check out my book The Devil and the Children of God at the End of the World here
There will always be critics. That's just a part of life. And sometimes criticism isn't very constructive in nature. It can be downright mean spirited at times. That type of criticism can leave an awful sting, particularly when it originates in people whom we perceive to be in our corner. Criticism, whether silent or in your face, can stir emotions and create doubt in work, mission and purpose. But here's the good news... We do have a choice in how we respond. We can allow the outside negativity to discourage us and embody a defeated mindset... OR We can ground ourselves in The Truth, use the criticism as fuel and move forward as the Victor that God has called us to be. We can take what the devil intended for bad and flip it on him by the Power of the Holy Spirit - rocket fuel for a blazing fire of faith that will allow us to surge ahead boldly and shower in God's Light all of the things that we may encounter in our journey. I didn't get here without help... God has provided me the support to advance my mission at every stage. Brothers and sisters from around the world have shown up in my life at the very precise moments when I've needed them most... And perhaps, when they've needed me as well. It's remarkable how the Holy Spirit draws these relationships nearer to us for the Glory of God. So many of you have fulfilled incredibly influential roles in my journey. And I believe that your support has been nothing short of Divine. Thank you, truly. You make my life full. And you have contributed tremendously to the advancement of my mission in Christ.
Perhaps today you find yourself in the valley... You feel alone. You feel forgotten. Maybe you feel separated from God or perhaps you even feel that He has distanced Himself from you. I want to encourage you in this season. Because I've lived it myself. And it's important that I assure you... He has NOT left your side. God disciplines those who He loves. Perhaps He is using this period of your life to sharpen and mold you. To prepare you for an even greater purpose. God's love is patient and enduring. Recognize that the valley is a vital part of your journey to ALL IN. Stay on the path. Continue seeking. Keep maturing and refining. And know that the lessons learned will pay great dividends down the road.
We must UNITE. Satan's main objective is to distract and divide us. And sadly, our world is on fire in division fueled by powerful emotions of anger and hate. But understand this... Your brother, your sister - they are NOT your enemy. As Paul tells us in Ephesians Chapter 6 "our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." Is the devil's influence present in people? In places? In circumstances? YES. But your target should not be what you see in your natural plane of vision. You need to view the threat from a spiritual perspective. What is the true origin of the dark encounter? The enemy wants us to get caught up in emotion and react to things that we engage with in this world as if everything begins and ends with humanity alone. That's deception. Our enemy is spiritual. And that is precisely why we need to take the battle to higher ground... In the Holy Spirit... United as brothers and sisters in the war against evil.
Lack is a weapon of the enemy. It is a distraction. Lack is divisive, inside and out. It creates anxiety... And that anxiety leads to emotional decisions... Desperate moves that often result in greater captivity. For the better part of a decade, I lived in that hole. And I embodied that mindset. I felt like I was always chasing. I thought I'd never be free. Then I encountered Jesus Christ, and everything changed. I found that my emptiness, my lack, was less a reflection of the debt hole that I had established in my early twenties, and more a reflection of what was missing in my life spiritually. In Christ I came to know fullness. And my focus shifted away from lack. I began to embody a completely new identity. And, not surprisingly, my circumstances began to improve as well.
Week 1. Enter the true freshman high school phenom for his first collegiate start at QB. Surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses, he takes the field. The game moves rapidly. It's chaotic and at times overwhelming. The opposition is disguising its schemes and wreaking havoc. Emotions take over the young signal caller. Careless decisions are made. Decisions that lead to grave consequences. Cue the color analyst..."perhaps the stage was too big for him..." Perhaps today... But by midseason, his confidence will soar. And he'll approach each snap with a new vision and preparedness for success. He just needs the game to slow down. And experience helps. Life in the spirit realm is a lot like this. The devil loves to create chaos and confusion. To stir emotions and lead us to poor decisions. We need to slow the game down so that we can read the threats of the opposition and prepare the most strategic counter punch... We must draw on the Holy Spirit for clarity... For It is the key to success in the arena of spiritual warfare.
The work that I do on this podcast isn't for the faint of heart. Every day when I wake up, I pray for God's Voice to be magnified through me... And then, armed with the strength of the Holy Spirit, I work to expose the lies of the evil one. On this show, we go deep... We go full transparency... We get into sensitive matters surrounding mental illness and spirituality... And the devil doesn't like it...not one bit. He absolutely hates being exposed. Because he thrives on deception and manipulation. And here, we call him on his BS. Here, his lies have no home. But that doesn't stop his efforts at intimidation. In desperation, he often comes harder. Yet I remain ALL IN. Each and every day I make the decision that will change the course of my life forever. I affirm my commitment to my mission. And I deny the temptations that seek to lure me back to captivity. I will not ever turn back, I will only TURN UP.
Are you living your life with a veil over your eyes? Is there a persistent haziness or fog present as you move about your day? How does it make you feel? Uneasy? Confused? Lost? Hopeless? Perhaps it's time to consider upgrading to a high definition lifestyle... A lifestyle guided by the PERFECT vision of the Holy Spirit. After all, you can't go on living like this forever. And there is so much more to life that you deserve to see.
As one of my favorite motivational speakers, Eric Thomas once said..."you've got to breathe it, you've got to eat it, you've got to sleep it." God is not asking you to simply dip your toes in the water. He's asking you to dive in head first. Obedience to the call... In FAITH. He will reward your commitment. But you're going to need to trust Him. Today's episode, "God's Not Looking for Part Time Help" was inspired by a former guest on our show Michael Simmons. Michael used these exact words during our interview... And they truly touched my heart. They are at the front of mind each and every day. I can't be lukewarm. I'm not built to get lost in the grey areas. I'm on fire in The Spirit. And I'm going wherever He leads.
Do not pull the blinds closed, denying yourself access to The Light. Each morning it arrives as a gift of love, hope and restoration. Receive it with open arms. Allow it to wash over you. To make you new and give you peace... In any season... Even the most painful and tragic. The Light of God is patient and enduring. Seek it. Choose it. Embrace it.
In 2011, God called me to write. He encouraged me to share my story. To seek forgiveness and take responsibility for my life. When I turned my life over to Him, He spoke to me. The first words that He shared were "let go..." In the security of His Love, I began moving unrestrained. I started sharing my story boldly. And God began rewarding my obedience. He started healing me through the writing. He gave me clarity. He gave my life purpose. As I learned how to navigate the pain of the most dark and tragic elements in my life, by the strength of the Holy Spirit I transitioned into the role of teacher, where I could touch the lives of others who were facing similar adversities in their own life. You don't need to understand HOW God will do it. You're not supposed to... God wants you to trust Him with your pain... In your work life, prayer life and in your servant life. Give it to Him. And watch the miracles unfold.
Satan is a bully... The most vicious and manipulative bully that you will ever encounter. He is abusive. And if you've ever encountered any level of abuse in your life, you'll recognize this - the greatest fear of your abuser is being revealed. The devil wants to keep you silent. He wants to silence God's Voice in you. The night before I began writing The Devil and the Children of God at the End of the World, I experienced a prophetic dream. In that dream, I declared war against evil. As I worked to cast out demons, the devil attempted to wrap his hands around my throat to silence me. But in the Strength of The Lord, I broke through. And then, like a flood, The Truth began spilling from my lips, proclaiming God's VICTORY over the darkness. I will not be silent. The Truth lives in me. And It will be revealed. Devil, it's on.
In 2 Corinthians, Chapter 12 the Apostle Paul shares that "I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me." And that "three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But He said to me, 'My Grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.'" If the devil is tormenting you, you're in good company. Despite the "insults, hardships, persecutions" and "difficulties" he faced, Paul became one of the most influential individuals of the early Christian church. Paul grounded himself in The Spirit, denying the messenger of Satan who was eagerly waiting to take advantage of any vulnerability that he expressed in the flesh. He recognized the war that he was in and he understood his VICTOR, Jesus Christ. Each and every day he woke up and stepped forward in faith claiming that victory, not in his strength, but in the STRENGTH OF THE LORD, magnifying HIS GLORY.
"I was the queen of sin...and yet God still found me, so I could find God. Powerful words from today's guest, Shari Lueck who encourages us in the warmth of a loving and patient God. Shari is the author of My Skeletons Have Names, an Amazon Best Seller released in October 2020. She is also the founder of Shari Lueck Unfiltered & On Fire, a highly successful coaching practice. Shari reminds us to ground ourselves in God's Will daily. And she shares with us a miraculous encounter with The Lord that led to an out of body-like experience and gave her confirmation in her soul that her path forward would be secure always. She assures us that if we do the work and have faith, we can live in peace and recognize that all will be OK, regardless of what pops up along the journey. Shari teaches us to embrace adversity - for the painful moments lead to grit and wisdom that creates a beautiful pearl of a life in the end.
Call me crazy. I'm good with it. I'm not trying to fit in. To be the best version of myself I need to move unrestrained in whatever direction God leads me. Sometimes that means moving in ways that are in conflict with the masses. When God takes action through the power of the Holy Spirit, we are often led in a manner that doesn't make sense to the natural mind. Outsiders may question our motives or our sanity. But that is of no concern to the believer whose faith is on fire. Call me crazy, but I'll go wherever He calls. I don't care if it's unknown, uncomfortable or untested. I'll simply move in obedience. And He will provide for my needs as I take action according to His Will. My next nudge from the Holy Spirit may not make sense to anyone around me...if it's God it shouldn't...His wisdom is beyond human comprehension. I'll roll the dice with God any day of the week...it doesn't matter the ask. I'm crazy enough to do it. Are you?
Losing my Dad was a shock. It was by far the greatest tragedy that I've experienced in my life. A day or two after his passing, I was in the car with my wife and kids when my son yelled from the backseat "Dad, can you play 'Joy?'" "Joy" is my son's favorite song from a playlist that we access nearly every time we leave the house. It's a contemporary Christian song by For King & Country. We have spent countless days singing and dancing in the car to "Joy"... But on that day, with a heavy heart, I paused before answering and granting his request. I felt like riding in silence. How could I play a song like that now? Well, I realized I had the opportunity to choose. And I recognized that my father would desire that I choose joy for my family and not despair. After all, there was a great victory in Christ worth celebrating. "Sure buddy, we can listen to 'Joy'." By the power of the Holy Spirit, we can CLAIM JOY in any season.
You may find yourself nearing the end of your rope. Perhaps you've been inching closer to rock bottom. Or maybe you are simply navigating a season of heavy adversity in the midst of your redemption. Today, I want to encourage you. YOU ARE CLOSER TO A BREAKTHROUGH THAN YOU KNOW. God's Majesty is magnified in the darkness. Do not lose hope. The devil wants you to break. He wants you to quit. He is committed to distracting and discouraging you. And when he becomes threatened by the direction of your life in Christ, he will grow more active in his pursuit. Satan will throw the kitchen sink at you when he begins to recognize that freedom and purpose are approaching your life. Resist him. Stand firm in faith. Deny the temptations that seek to lead you astray. You are close. God loves turning tragedy into triumph. And He has your victory. Claim it.
In July of 2016, while sitting on a quiet beach in the Dominican Republic next to my beautiful bride, God gave me a prophetic word... "Water..." No further explanation. That was it. I spent the entire week of our honeymoon trying to decipher exactly what He was trying to reveal to me. My natural mind wanted to draw its own conclusions... But faith kept me seeking for more meaningful answers. Years later, following deep reflection on a series of divine events including a powerful vision and the birth of my son, the pieces of the puzzle began to fall into place. I had my answer. This wasn't just any water that The Lord was referencing. This was the LIVING WATER. The Holy Spirit. God was inviting me to take a drink. And today, I'd like to encourage you to join me. Each and every week we will dedicate our Thursday show to taking a deeper dive with the Holy Spirit, God's LIVING WATER - the one TRUE thirst quencher.
I should be broken. I should be lost. I should be struggling to carry on. And yet... PEACE. In the midst of my greatest tragedy, the unexpected loss of my father, my best friend, my superhero... God is giving me peace. And it doesn't make sense. As Paul states in Philippians 4:7, "the peace of God...transcends all understanding..." I've been fortunate to know God's Perfect Love. I've witnessed His Power and Strength. I've been blessed by His Miracles. And now, in tragedy, I understand His Peace. In consuming the Living Water, the Holy Spirit, I have comfort and assurance. I lack nothing. I remain full. And while I will miss my father every day, I know where he is, and I recognize that this is not the end, but rather, only the beginning. In His Embrace, even death has no sting. Praise God. Are you struggling under the weight of a tragedy in your life? Take a drink of the Living Water... And know PEACE.
On April 1st, 2021 at around 9:30 AM my father was called home to Jesus. This is my first recording since his passing. In my return to the microphone, I wanted to speak a bit about something that my Dad reminded me of many times throughout the years... He would say that each and every morning we have two choices in how we receive the day... We can rise with a heart of gratitude and say "Good morning, God!" Or... We can groan in the flesh and utter a "Good God, morning..." The decision that we make with each new dawn has a significant impact on how things will unfold for us throughout the day. How you start plays a big role in how you ultimately will finish. My Dad was committed to instilling in me the proper approach. He knew the value of a foundation of faith and positivity. How do you begin the new day? Are you being intentional with your morning? Are you receiving the gift of life in gratitude?
Does your prayer life need encouragement? If so, this message is for you. One of the greatest obstacles that we encounter with prayer is the feeling of unworthiness that often consumes us when we believe that we have been distant from God. Once we understand His Perfect Love, everything changes. Miracles start to unfold. And the sense of belonging that we feel in His presence warms our hearts. The word “impossible” begins to escape our vocabulary. We recognize that there is nothing that we cannot bring to God and there is nothing that can separate us from His Love. In that understanding, we have the power to go boldly in prayer. And when we deny the urges to restrict God by the limitations of our natural minds, we come into a closer relationship with Him and the words take form through the Power of the Holy Spirit. We get more specific about the desires that the Spirit places in our hearts so that we can Glorify His Mighty Name when He delivers the blessings to our lives. And that gives our testimony greater influence. It draws others nearer to God who are seeking to reveal the power of prayer in their own lives. Do not restrain God. Be specific in your requests. The Lord is eager and willing to bless those whose desires align with the Holy Spirit. God will provide and He will often give you more than what you've envisioned. Be encouraged in your prayer life. Don't be too humble to ask. Go confidently in prayer and trust Him. When your belief turns to knowing, your life will become extraordinary. Just be sure to give Him the Glory always.
When pain turns into purpose, there is great victory. There is no denying that my pain has magnified the power of God's miraculous transformation in my life. We all experience adversity in our lives. And when we listen to the testimonies of others who have overcome similar challenges through faith and faith alone, it inspires us to believe in God's power in our own restoration. God has given me a great ability to endure pain. In a sense, He has given me an appetite for it. I appreciate pain because I recognize what it reveals and what is waiting on the other side of it. When I was reborn in Christ, I concluded that everything in my life had purpose and meaning, including the pain. What could I learn? How could I grow from it? How could I use the pain as springboard in my transformation? In what manner could I utilize the experience gained from my pain to better serve God's Kingdom? I wanted to know. I didn't care to numb the pain. I believed that it was there for a reason. And I didn't want a quick fix. I wanted a lasting solution. I simply trusted that if I continued forward on the path that The Lord illuminated, He would give me the strength to take on ANY obstacles that were presented to me. I became extremely courageous in the POWER of The Lord. And I grew excited about my healing. I was eager to take on the pain. And that passionate pursuit, that process led me to the root. Exactly what I wanted to uncover. It was time to break the cycles of turmoil in my life, otherwise they would continue to repeat. God revealed so much to me through the pain. Traveling through that process with Him led to a great closeness. An amazing, trusted bond. And that bond allowed me to understand the root of my pain, the spiritual imbalance and evil influences that had led me into great captivity through mental illness for decades. Many will say that healing is not that simple. I will respectfully disagree. And this episode will reveal to you why. Do not allow yourself to be discouraged. There is purpose in your pain. Get to the root and you will reveal it.
Are you feeling trapped under the weight of heavy debt burdens? If so, I can relate. I have lived it on an extreme level. In this episode I step into some next level vulnerability, sharing the story of the debt foundation that I established just months after my college graduation. It was a hole that I exacerbated in a radical way through a destructive gambling addiction that I enabled in my efforts to secure additional income to overcome the hole that I found myself in early in my adult life. I made some extraordinarily reckless decisions. And those decisions led to great shame, guilt and further captivity. The devil loved the debt trap that he positioned to take hold of my life. He had me completely ensnared. I was consumed by it. I felt hopeless. When we assume a heavy debt burden, the devil assumes power. Debt can rob us of a lot of focus and time. It can distract us from our purpose. And steer us away from the freedom that we have in Christ. Debt is divisive. It ruins relationships and leads to further emotional torment. It is an ugly weapon of Satan. And it needs to be exposed. Praise the Lord for God's intervention in my life. I fell into the trap and I needed a rescue effort. Please be cautious. You are called to live in freedom. Avoid the pitfalls of debt that I encountered by listening to this message and learning from my experience.
This episode will challenge you to look beyond the boundaries of your natural mind. Think God. Think supernatural power and strength. Think Divine Will. Think miracles. God has blessed my life in so many ways that extend beyond the power of my own imagination. God's Work does not make sense. If it did, we'd be able to assume to credit for it. And it's not we who are deserving of the glory, but God. When we find ourselves in alignment with the Will of The Lord, magical things begin to happen. Do not deny yourself the blessings out of fear and doubt for how you will handle them. Do not allow your mind to turn the blessings into burdens. As God provides the blessings, he will provide the strength to manage them. Supernatural strength. The Lord's Strength is more than enough. Trust it. Deny the resistance of your natural mind. Go to Him for assurance. Ground your spirit on a Higher plane. As you grow in your faith, you will begin to expect God to answer your prayers. You will expect miracles. You will be given more opportunities to proclaim His Victory in all that you do. Stay obedient to the call. And remember, it's not supposed to make sense. If it did, it wouldn't be God and it wouldn't require any faith. It is not natural. Take comfort in that.
How would you live your life if you knew that you could not fail? How would this understanding impact the decisions that you make moving forward? How would you receive each new day and approach “risk” differently if you did so in VICTORY? We are living in an era of deception and chaos. And there is still time left on the clock in this season. But we know how the story ends. God gets the W. With that in mind, as children of God, we can and should embody that victory every day of our lives. Align yourself with His Will and trust this – where He leads, you cannot lose. It does not matter how new, awkward or uncomfortable it may feel to step forward where He calls – if He is signaling you to move and He is lighting the path, rest assured that you will find victory on it. Your success may not always present itself exactly as you would have perceived it in your natural mind. But you can trust that God has your best interest at heart. And you simply cannot fail when you move in His direction. He rewards obedience. And He does so abundantly. If you're looking to disarm doubt and a what-if mindset, this message is for you.
Today's guest is Laura Arnold. Laura and I grew up in the same small town in Pennsylvania. We met several years ago through an introduction made on social media by a mutual friend. From the moment that I connected with Laura, I knew that there was something very special about her. Laura is a healer. She spent 11 years running her own massage practice but was forced to close her business in 2020 as a result of COVID-19. But this will not be the end of her healing journey – there is undoubtedly more to come. Today, we explore the doors that God may be opening in her life. Laura has a powerful backstory. She grew up feeling a bit conflicted in her relationship with God under the weight of the church's influence. A message of condemnation led her to feel inadequate and unworthy of His love. And so like many of us, she drifted away from God and into rebellion. She felt unlovable. She fell into depression. And following a traumatic event in a relationship in her early adulthood, she felt moved to take her own life. She drafted a plan. And on the night when that plan was to be executed, God showed up in a powerful and undeniable way. Laura's story will move you to tears. God's Love is so evident in this testimony. And His redeeming Grace continues to work miracles in her life. Laura's journey is in many ways just beginning as she steps into the full embrace of her loving Creator. She is identifying through Christ areas where her healing techniques can have amazing influence for His Kingdom. She's been actively working with veterans and feels moved to offer healing and explore her mission there further. And I believe that God is going to reveal many open doors for her to expand that work as she steps into her new identity and embraces her value as His beautiful, PERFECT creation. If you are feeling unworthy, if you need to hear a message of God's LOVE and redemption, please tune in to this moving episode. It will inspire you to live in His Victory and explore a servant driven mission in your own life.
Are you feeling unworthy? Inadequate? You are not alone. Many of God's children find themselves denying His fullness in submission to these types of negative emotions. But God's Perfect Love remains. And when we fall at His feet and draw into His embrace, we are truly set free. Redemption. Born again. In your new identity, you will feel moved to share God's work with the world. You will want everyone around you to have the opportunity to know His Love and embody a similar transformation. The devil will try to discourage you from doing this work. He will torment you with lies. He will tell you that you are unqualified. And many in the world may find themselves in agreement. But there is something that you have that no one else does. Something that makes you uniquely equipped to fulfill this role for God's Kingdom. And that is life experience. Your experience aligned with the Strength and Power of God will be used for great works that will Glorify His Name. If you're looking to take on a greater role for The Lord, and you want to feel empowered to step forward in faith, this message is for you. Where are you an expert as a result of your life experience? And how can God use that experience to serve His Kingdom?
Are you suffering with anxiety and panic? Have you ever experienced a panic attack? We are all at varying stages of our mental health and faith journeys. Even during a powerful spiritual revival, we are not immune to attacks that truly test our faith. I want you to remain firm in your pursuit of the Truth and the victory that God has ordained for your life. So today, I would like to offer you a few tips to help you withstand, to restore balance and to remain grounded in a posture of strength. Over time, the attacks will dissipate as your faith takes root and fear subsides. Do not be discouraged if you find yourself in a season that is testing you. You are not alone. I've been there. And I'm here to help.
Give it to me straight. Don't water it down. No outside influences. Keep it real. If you appreciate this level of transparency in your life, particularly as it relates to faith and mental health, you're going to feel right at home here at the Delivering Dunamis Podcast. I don't hold back. There is no shame in my past. I am a new creation. I am alive in Christ and I go boldly wherever He leads. The Lord is my only Judge. I do not need to run my content by anyone other than Him for approval. There is great freedom in that. By operating in God's freedom I ensure that my message is not tainted. The words that I share flow purely from my heart, where the Holy Spirit resides. And the more that I empower the Holy Spirit's voice to be magnified through me, the more that I continue to witness God rewarding my obedience. As I step forward in faith, trusting His Will, my impact for His Kingdom grows. When you move without any hesitation or restraint in the direction that God calls, you set your faith on fire. And faith on fire cannot be denied. If you are yearning for The Truth in your life and you'd like to embody that fire in the Spirit for the Glory of His Mighty Name, give this message a listen.
God's love is overwhelming. In today's episode I speak from the heart about many of the miraculous events that have occurred in my life in recent weeks and I dive into a touching story from my past as well. These stories leave no doubt that God is always with us. He cares for us deeply. He sends His angels to comfort us in seasons of adversity. He provides for our every need. And He works through us in our brokenness for the Glory of His Kingdom. Have you entertained God's angels in your life? Have you acknowledged their presence? Have you ever contemplated that you, too could be an angel in the life of another as a servant for His Kingdom? Do not hesitate to make God's Voice…His Perfect Light…His Perfect Love known through you. You cannot begin to imagine the impact that it may have on someone's else's life. Someone who may perhaps find themselves in need of their own angel today.
Today's guest is Brian Sexton. Brian is a great friend of mine and he is the author of People Buy From People and the Host of the Intentional Encourager Podcast. Brian is involved with both music and pulpit ministry in his church in Charleston, WV. He has been blessed with a powerful voice for The Lord. His message is phenomenal, and his faith is truly on fire. You are going to love this inside look at the life of a man who commits his time and energy to encouraging others through faith. Brian reminds listeners that God did not create us to be defeated and that when God gives you a Word, it WILL come to pass. He shares with us the miracles that he has experienced throughout his life, beginning in his infancy when doctors discovered a hole in his left lung following his birth and the POWER of prayer and The Lord intervened. As a teenager, Brian reconnected with a minister who was present at his baby dedication many years earlier and he revealed to Brian a beautiful Truth about his life. The minister, who was known to be gifted in the Spirit shared with Brian that “the Hand of God is on you, and it has always been on you.” What a beautiful and encouraging declaration. Yet even with that understanding, Brian tells us that his life has not in any way been completely insulated from adversity. But Brian recognizes his victor. He reveals to us the power of prayer and how it enables us to tune in to the Voice of God. Brian understands that we overcome the enemy through the word of our testimony. And that is why he goes boldly into his story. The Lord has led Brian through some vicious storms, including a devastating job loss following a wrongful accusation of sexual harassment. But throughout the storms, Brian kept the faith. And the Lord provided for him and his family in miraculous fashion. When Brian lost his best friend, his father, the Lord comforted Brian. He provided a loving figure to fill the void that remained, and He gave Brian a dream about his father that impacted his life forever and offered a powerful word acknowledging the receipt of his prayers. Brian reminds us that we do not need to live in the shadow of death as He joyfully anticipates the moment when he will reunite in song and praise of The Lord with his dad in Heaven. There is so much brilliant wisdom in this episode. So much encouragement. So much love and hope. Soak it in. It is truly a blessing.
I don't like bullies. Never have. Bullies abuse the psyche. They seek to diminish the identity of their targets. And often, they are relentless in their efforts. Today, we expose the biggest bully of them all, the devil. Satan wants God's children to remain in a defensive posture to ensure that our true identities are never fully revealed through Christ. He understands that God has placed a plan in each of us, a distinct role for His kingdom, and the devil desires nothing more than for our purpose to be surrendered to the captivity of the shame that he seeks to root within us. Today, we go on the offensive. We resist his advances. We expose his lies. We stand in The Truth. Enough is enough. Take the fight to him in the Strength of The Lord. Deny the subtle fears and doubts that he presents in your thought life. Whether you care to see it or not, Satan is real. His influence surrounds us. But there is nothing to fear. God holds the Victory. When you embody The Word and live in the Holy Spirit, the forces of evil are essentially rendered powerless. The darkness has not overcome The Light and it never will.
You are THE LIGHT of the world. We are living in a season of heavy darkness and great deception. There is a greater sense of urgency now than ever before for God's children to stand up, share their testimonies and serve His Kingdom as the lamp on the stand, the beacon of light that shines hope and inspiration into the lives of others. This is the purpose behind my ministry and the Delivering Dunamis Podcast. I want to create a platform for God's victory to be magnified. Our voices need to be heard. Join me on the show and free yourself through your testimony. By doing so, you will also free others who remain trapped in bondage. God empowers His Will through our obedience to His call to seek Him and serve His Kingdom. The Truth brings clarity. It offers healing. And it reveals greater purpose. I am here to encourage your share. Because I know what can be revealed as a result of taking those first steps in faith. I have lived it. And I would love to highlight your story, whenever you are ready. You cannot begin to perceive what God may have in store for your life. Trust Him. He will provide. Put the lamp on the stand. And let it shine.
Do you feel like an underdog in life? If so, I've got some GOOD NEWS for you. The Big Guy upstairs, well, he loves the underdog. He loves to reveal His Glory through those who on the surface may appear to be the least likely by the world's standards. Humanity does not have a measuring stick in God's Kingdom. God sees beyond what the human eyes can perceive. God sees the heart. He sees it you. And He sees it in me. Just as He did in King David around 3,000 years ago. Do not allow the enemy to rob you of your identity in Christ. Your rebirth will lead to its restoration. And God will work through your brokenness. His Strength will shine through in areas of your life where the world may anticipate weakness. You are adequate. You are worthy. He chose you. Claim His VICTORY. And share it boldly. It doesn't matter what the world thinks. You are not of this world. Your identity is rooted in a Higher Power.
Today we reconnect with Jennifer Casas for the second part of her amazing testimony. We revisit the words from her mother that served as her wake-up call following many years of trauma and hardship. Those words led Jennifer to church where she had an extremely powerful encounter. A divine message following the sermon tugged at her heart and the Holy Spirit led her to speak with the pastor directly after the service. The pastor received her message with great urgency, and the next day, she created space for Jennifer to go deeper in conversation. That conversation led to Jennifer being offered deliverance. This experience then led Jennifer to a discipleship program where she had a second deliverance. Following the release of several evil strongholds, Jennifer became very aware of the power of the Holy Spirit within her almost immediately. One night, while praying for another man, she found herself called to perform deliverance through the strength and guidance of the Holy Spirit. She was amazed by the power of The Lord within her and felt eager to follow His call obediently. In her obedience, God rewarded Jennifer. And in a big, BIG way. Jennifer shares with us the divine outcome in her pending felony trial and the message that she received from an angel in the courtroom which put her entire spiritual journey into perspective. She also shares a miraculous breakthrough in her mental health battle and a nudge that she received from the Holy Spirit which led to restoration in her marriage after a separation of four long years. Jennifer's story reminds us that NOTHING is impossible with God. Today, Jennifer is three years into her own deliverance ministry, she is in the process of receiving her Christian Counseling certification, and she is diving headfirst into her faith-based apparel business, Garments of Truth. This message is going to break down strongholds and change lives. Do not miss it.
Today, Jennifer Casas joins us on the Delivering Dunamis Podcast. Jennifer is the founder of a powerful deliverance ministry called A Dignified Deliverance. She is also the owner of a faith-based apparel business called Garments of Truth. Jennifer's story is remarkable. So remarkable that we could never cover it all in one episode. In Part 1 of this two-day series, we dive into Jennifer's backstory. Jennifer grew up attending a non-denominational Pentecostal church. Her mother was extraordinarily faithful. Her father however did not have his born-again experience until later life, and in the years prior to that rebirth, Jennifer experienced a high level of abuse in her home. That early trauma would continue to impact Jennifer in the years that followed, creating a bit of chaos in the relationships that she encountered in her adult life. By her teenage years, Jennifer had begun creating distance between herself and God. She got pregnant at 18. And then, she joined the military. Her identity was rooted in pride attached to status, education and money. She developed a real stronghold against the men in her life, including the man who became her husband. After being arrested for a DUI, Jennifer fell into a depression that ultimately triggered a separation in her marriage. She moved across the country and soon after got involved in an extremely dangerous, abusive relationship with a narcissist. In that season, she was also placed under investigation by the military for adultery. While suffering amidst the despair that was overwhelming her life under the weight of a pending investigation and relentless abuse in her relationship, Jennifer attempted to take her life. Following that event, she was evaluated and diagnosed with bipolar disorder and a possible personality disorder. She began a treatment protocol, but the abuse did not stop. One night, a confrontation occurred in her home that resulted in a crisis situation during which Jennifer accidentally harmed her partner. She was placed under arrest, facing possible felony charges. After two years of continued abuse, while awaiting trial, Jennifer experienced another devastating event the night before she was scheduled to go to court. She was at the end of her rope. One week later, a wake-up call arrived from the lips of her mother. And that's the moment when everything began to turn in God's favor.
From rock bottom to #1 Best Seller on Amazon. If you are having trouble believing that God can deliver a miracle in your life, just look at my story. Nothing is impossible. Your transformation begins with one step forward in faith. “You don't have to see the whole staircase” as Dr. King once famously stated, and I'm here to add, YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO SEE THE WHOLE STAIRCASE. If you could, you would not be able to process it anyway. If your entire future were visible to you, that would certainly disrupt the evolution of your mission. Because you would get way too involved with your own desires. And further, that type of knowledge would not require any faith. And the Lord is seeking to have a more meaningful relationship with all of us than that would allow. Walk by faith and not by sight. That's the message. One step at a time. One day at a time. Resist the urge to get too far ahead of yourself. And just move forward. Empower the Holy Spirit. Trust its guidance. And miracles will unfold. Put it on repeat daily and more will be given to you as a reward for your obedience.
When troubling obsessive-compulsive thoughts began overwhelming my mind in early adolescence, I felt great shame in my condition. I acknowledged these thoughts as unwelcome, but I had no idea how to disarm or dismiss them. I felt forced to accommodate them. And that made my condition difficult to hide because these thoughts influenced my behavior in such a profound way. My solution was greater control. I worked hard to manipulate my environment to ensure that I could maintain the highest level of stability possible so that I would never have to reveal my real identity to the world. And this affected every single relationship in my life, often in a very devastating way. But when I surrendered my life to the Lord in 2011, everything began to change. God gave me an affirmation that allowed my life to turn around in a miraculous fashion. His first words, “let go”. Without giving up my need for control, my healing season would never fully come into bloom. If you are looking to break free from the strongholds in your life and uncover true freedom and a lasting solution, this message is for you.
Have you ever felt as though your spirituality and/or your mental health journey are on a collision course with your professional career? If so, this message is for you. I am a firm believer that I am a child of God. I am part of His PERFECT Creation. So I don't feel any shame in my identity. I am committed to living My Truth full time. And that means that I will never sacrifice my being for the sake of business. My God does not build walls to conceal. He tears them down. I am called to be a servant wherever He leads me. And I trust that He will plant seeds and pull weeds in my life as He best sees fit. This message will encourage you to live authentically in alignment with God in every area of your life. Do not accept the lies of the enemy that seek to diminish you and conceal your Truth. There are beautiful connections and opportunities waiting for you if you have the courage to go forward in faith. The risk does not lie in living free as your authentic self, the risk lies in assuming the consequences associated with denying The Truth within you.
Are you suffering through a painful season? Are you overwhelmed by the torment of your flesh? Have you been tempted to quit? I am here to inspire to you to step out of that captivity today. Having lived under the stress of extreme panic and anxiety for nearly two decades, I understand the torment of overactive nerves and chronic pain. Over the last several years, I have had to adapt my lifestyle to accommodate the sensitivities of my body. And most days, I still cannot avoid the pain. But the torment of my flesh no longer discourages me. Because I am a victor in the Spirit. My temple is bruised, cracked and in many ways broken. But God remains committed to offering His Strength to use my broken vessel to glorify His Mighty Name. Do not resign to defeat in the flesh. That type of posture enables the influence of Satan. Tie your identity to a Higher Power. To the Holy Spirit. And claim victory today.
Today, Michael Simmons joins us on the show. Michael and I met each other at about the midway point of 2020 when he made his introduction to my mental health community, The Outlet. I instantly felt a connection to Michael. He is an amazing human being and a great man faith. And today, I am blessed to share the depth of Michael's journey with the world. Early in his life, Michael had a close-knit relationship with God. But at the age of ten, Michael experienced a traumatic event that began to derail the stability within his family. Soon after, Michael started to encounter abuse in his home. And that created a wedge between he and God. He felt angry and abandoned. And it was not until he hit rock bottom in a broken and toxic marriage many years later that he began to seek to reconnect with the Lord. Michael's rebirth occurred in 2005. While his awakening was a magical experience, many of the messy remnants of his past remained. And within those messy remnants, the devil continued his relentless push to rob Michael of the joy and hope of the Lord. But one morning, following a night of persistent spiritual warfare, the Lord spoke to Michael. And He reminded Michael that He made him for a purpose. As a result of this divine intervention, Michael's true identity became revealed to Him through Christ. He now lives his life seeking opportunities to lift people up and openly share the joy of his faith with those around him. Michael reminds us that we are all qualified to do God's work. And like a muscle, we must exercise our faith in order to strengthen it. If you are struggling with understanding your identity and defining your purpose as a result of trauma and adversity and you are seeking to live a life of purpose and meaning, this message is most certainly for you.
We live in a world that is fallen. And deception is at every corner. In this season of darkness, The Truth is our Light. And Jesus Christ tells us that The Truth will set us free. Where can we go to find community in The Truth? The most obvious answer would be the church. But what happens when the church compromises its principles for the sake of its position in the world? What happens when the church falls into the bondage of the spirit of fear? What happens when the pulpit is used to deliver messages rooted simply in what the itching ears wish to hear? What happens when the church breaks our trust and denies The Truth in its entirety? If the church refuses to renounce evil, it enables it. It is time for leaders in ministry to stand up and be counted. We deserve The Truth. And if we cannot find it within the walls of our sanctuaries, we will become it. We are the church.
Are you finding yourself trapped in repeating cycles of adversity? Have you ever wondered, where is God when I need Him most? Perhaps you have questioned, what are the obstacles standing in the way of God's miraculous healing in my life? I will make the argument that it is often our own stubborn resistance. We put up a wall between ourselves and God. Perhaps it is because we feel unworthy of His Grace. When we embody a mindset of inadequacy, we deny His Perfect Love from being made visible in our lives. A Perfect Love that has the POWER to drive out fear, shame, guilt and every negative emotion that holds us captive. If you are feeling trapped and are eager to heal and get on the pathway to true freedom, give this episode a listen.
Our first guest is Jeff Bauer, a man of great faith on a self-proclaimed “mission to prosper others.” Jeff's story is remarkable. His life has been blessed by many miracles since the time that he was a baby, when the doctors proclaimed that he would never be able to hear or speak and he was healed by his mother's obedient faith and the strength of God. Yet despite The Lord's early interest in Jeff's life, he did later begin to drift from his faith amid great adversity that began to develop within his family during his late teenage years. This type of experience in not unique to Jeff. Most of us have at one point or another lived this drift in our own Christian journeys. Thankfully, God's Will prevailed, and Jeff was reborn in the faith. The story of his reunion with The Lord is one that you absolutely must hear! Following his rebirth, Jeff's life began to take on a completely new meaning. But he was not immune to the pitfalls of life and to the temptations of the ego. Jeff won big financially in his career. And then he suffered the pain of losing it all. In January 2010, he encountered such tremendous hardship that he became homeless and was separated from his family. He was humbled by the experience. And He learned that trouble comes when we begin trusting in our own will and begin denying the Will of God. God loves us deeply, but He is not opposed to returning us to lessons that we missed the first time around. He is always shaping and molding us for the glory of His Kingdom. Today, Jeff lives his life with a servant mindset. He is on a mission to save souls and reveal purpose in the lives of others. He is a top-notch storyteller and sales leader, and he lives to connect people to opportunities that allow them to prosper. You do not want to miss this episode. This may be one of the most powerful testimonials that you will ever hear.
The spirit of fear leads to captivity. I know because I lived it. In 2011 I was agoraphobic. I was at rock bottom. I was ready to die. That is when I decided to turn my life over to God. And I allowed Him to open a door to miraculous healing and transformation. God placed the freedom that I desired right in front of me. All that was required of me was to step forward boldly in faith. To advance through the open door without hesitation. If you are feeling stuck, discouraged or overwhelmed by the call to step forward in faith, this message is for you.
