In episode 641, Laura Arnold teaches us how to set realistic goals for SEO in 2025, staying ahead of AI and algorithm changes. Laura Arnold is a New York City-based Emmy-Nominated Culinary Television Producer, Cookbook Consultant, and award-winning Content Creator with over a decade of experience. She currently is the Supervising Culinary Producer for Food Network's The Kitchen, and has worked previously at ABC's The Chew, DotDash Meredith, Good Housekeeping, Food52, kitchn.com, and with many more brands. After learning about SEO through several food clients and brands over the past several years, she kept hearing from clients that they wished a food media expert had an SEO consultancy. She then founded Dang Good Digital, her own SEO consulting business specifically for food creators and bloggers to help them grow their brands, sites, and social media exposure. In this episode, you'll learn how to analyze your content and niche down to get more traction, why it's worth investing in video, even if it's not perfect, and ways to build a strong community. Key points discussed include: - Niche down your content: Analyze your past year's performance to identify your content strengths and focus on building out those areas. - Experiment with content pillars: Try increasing content in your top-performing areas, like salads, while maintaining a balance of other recipe types. - Research keywords strategically: For newer bloggers, look for high-volume, low-competition keywords to target and build content around. - Adjust your publishing cadence: Aim for 5 new posts and 12 post updates per month, adjusting as needed based on your blog's size and goals. - Write with a conversational tone: Incorporate trigger words and a more personal approach when writing blog post introductions and meta descriptions. - Embrace video content: Experiment with creating simple video content to accompany your blog posts, even using a smartphone. - Build a community presence: Invest time in building a community on 2-3 platforms, such as Instagram and Facebook. - Expect SEO changes: Stay adaptable as search algorithms and AI continue to evolve, focusing on creating high-quality content. - Understand domain authority: While it's important, don't let a low domain authority discourage you, as newer bloggers can still achieve success. An obsessive genealogist and descendent of one of the most prominent Jewish families since the American Revolution, Blanche Moses firmly believed her maternal ancestors were Sephardic grandees. Yet she found herself at a dead end when it came to her grandmother's maternal line.  Using family heirlooms to unlock the mystery of Moses's ancestors, Once We Were Slaves: The Extraordinary Journey of a Multiracial Jewish Family (Oxford UP, 2021) overturns the reclusive heiress's assumptions about her family history to reveal that her grandmother and great-uncle, Sarah and Isaac Brandon, actually began their lives as poor Christian slaves in Barbados. Tracing the siblings' extraordinary journey throughout the Atlantic World, Leibman examines artifacts they left behind in Barbados, Suriname, London, Philadelphia, and, finally, New York, to show how Sarah and Isaac were able to transform themselves and their lives, becoming free, wealthy, Jewish, and--at times--white. While their affluence made them unusual, their story mirrors that of the largely forgotten population of mixed African and Jewish ancestry that constituted as much as ten percent of the Jewish communities in which the siblings lived, and sheds new light on the fluidity of race--as well as on the role of religion in racial shift--in the first half of the nineteenth century. Today's guest is Laura Arnold.  Laura and I grew up in the same small town in Pennsylvania.  We met several years ago through an introduction made on social media by a mutual friend.  From the moment that I connected with Laura, I knew that there was something very special about her.  Laura is a healer.  She spent 11 years running her own massage practice but was forced to close her business in 2020 as a result of COVID-19.  But this will not be the end of her healing journey – there is undoubtedly more to come.  Today, we explore the doors that God may be opening in her life.  Laura has a powerful backstory.  She grew up feeling a bit conflicted in her relationship with God under the weight of the church's influence.  A message of condemnation led her to feel inadequate and unworthy of His love.  And so like many of us, she drifted away from God and into rebellion.  She felt unlovable.  She fell into depression.  And following a traumatic event in a relationship in her early adulthood, she felt moved to take her own life.  She drafted a plan.  And on the night when that plan was to be executed, God showed up in a powerful and undeniable way.  Laura's story will move you to tears.  God's Love is so evident in this testimony.  And His redeeming Grace continues to work miracles in her life.  Laura's journey is in many ways just beginning as she steps into the full embrace of her loving Creator.  She is identifying through Christ areas where her healing techniques can have amazing influence for His Kingdom.  She's been actively working with veterans and feels moved to offer healing and explore her mission there further.  And I believe that God is going to reveal many open doors for her to expand that work as she steps into her new identity and embraces her value as His beautiful, PERFECT creation.  If you are feeling unworthy, if you need to hear a message of God's LOVE and redemption, please tune in to this moving episode.  It will inspire you to live in His Victory and explore a servant driven mission in your own life.

She has made a big impact on student athletes by being someone that they can look up to and talk to during tough situations. During this episode, we discussed more of mental health awareness and how we can reduce the stigma that surrounds mental health in athletics, particularly in men. In this episode. we explore the messianic concept in Jewish history and thought, from the time of the Bar Kohba rebellion in 132 CE to the messianic fervor surrounding Chabad Lubavitch rebbe Menachem Mendel Schneerson in recent times.
