This week is a very special episode that I am so excited for you to hear. Wendy bravely shares what her journey to changing her relationship with alcohol has looked like over the past year AND what finally helped her turn a corner, so much that whenever she has an urge to drink, she thinks 'I don't want to run back the page.' And some very nuanced detail in HOW she works through the urge to drink that has helped her be alcohol free now for almost 3 months! Wendy is a really good example of what is possible. This episode will also motivate you to not give up before the gettin' gets good! You never know when it will all come together for you, so you need to stay in the game until it does! Ron takes listeners on a wide-ranging conversation that links America's past to its present — from classic TV sitcoms to today's political battles. Drawing parallels between All in the Family's Archie Bunker and modern MAGA politics, Ron explores how culture once forced hard conversations into American living rooms — and what's changed since, revisiting a CBS Sunday Morning segment from 2010 featuring Rob Reiner. The show also digs into the high-stakes fight over voting rights, with Lauren Groh-Wargo of Fair Fight Action warning about the potential fallout if the Supreme Court weakens the Voting Rights Act. Plus, CBS News business analyst Jill Schlesinger breaks down what rising unemployment numbers really mean for everyday Americans, and Dr. T. Jamison Brewer of the University of North Georgia weighs in on the growing push against “wokeness” in higher education.A WaPo letter to the editor openly asks "are we the bad guys?" "Telling conservatives to stop being bigots is admitting they're bigots. And I'm pretty sure a professor of jurisprudence telling them to cut it out isn't going to work. Hey, you guys — stop being bigots!" The letter writer cites Robert P. George's piece stating that as much as conservatives want to be a "big tent" party, they have to draw a line against white supremacy, antisemitism, eugenics, the subjugation of women, and other forms of ideological extremism and bigotry.Tune in to catch the Ron Show weekdays from 4-6pm Eastern time on Georgia NOW! What if your life had a visible “heavenly balance” and every choice raised or lowered it? We start with a blunt audit of the last 24 hours—time spent on social media, sports, and idle talk—against time invested in God, marriage, children, and true neighbor love. From there, we move through Scripture with a clear aim: recover first love and let actions carry our words. Colossians offers a family order built on mutual honor and restraint. Revelation 2 commends endurance and discernment yet warns how devotion can cool even in a faithful community. Proverbs insists that talk without action is empty and that pausing to think before speaking can change outcomes at home and in public life.We also look to history for perspective. A terse Medal of Honor citation for Captain George Newman Bliss hints at costly courage: stepping forward without orders, paying in wounds, and enduring captivity. Then Woodrow Wilson's 1917 Thanksgiving proclamation speaks from wartime, calling for gratitude, unity, and practical economy under God. The language of darkness returns here, not to frighten but to focus us. Storm clouds gather in every age, and the response is the same: repent, give thanks, serve, and stand together under the one true God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.Across it all runs a simple test for modern life: where do your minutes go? If love is real, it will show up on your calendar and in your tone. Trade a slice of scrolling for Scripture and a real conversation. Choose first works again—prayer, truth, service—and watch affection deepen rather than fade. If this resonates, follow the show, share it with a friend who needs courage today, and leave a review so others can find it. Your next hour can build what lasts.Support the showThe American Soul Podcasthttps://www.buzzsprout.com/1791934/subscribe
We'll talk tonight about the legacy that we have inherited and the ways in which we can carry it forward to other people. If you look around here today, you'll see that these are rare souls in the room, because we are in the midst of the saṅkīrtana movement. Somehow or other, we have been given this opportunity together to carry on the service that Śrīla Prabhupāda got from his spiritual master, and it goes all the way back to Kṛṣṇa. So, the service itself is a high sādhana that connects us to Kṛṣṇa most directly. What's more, it's the purpose of the creation. That's what Kṛṣṇa has in mind every time Mahā Viṣṇu exhales: yasyaika-niśvasita-kālam athāvalambya jīvanti loma-vilajā jagad-aṇḍa-nāthāḥ viṣṇur mahān sa iha yasya kalā-viśeṣo govindam ādi-puruṣaṁ tam ahaṁ bhajāmi (Brahma-saṁhitā 5.48) All the universes manifest, and then Kṛṣṇa reminds everyone where they left off in the last creation so they can start up again. But His underlying purpose in manifesting the world is to give every soul a chance to turn back towards him in the spiritual world and be happy. He says in the Bhagavad Gītā that those who take up the work of helping turn people back towards him are the most dear to him. Any spiritual practice that brings us closer to God, because it's a practice that's dear to him, is the most direct and the most important. So, book distribution is not a P.R. event. It's not a quaint activity that was meant for another era. Rather, it's a high sādhana that connects each one of us, not only to Prabhupāda, but also to Kṛṣṇa. And it was Śrīla Prabhupāda's mode, as he expressed it himself, that he picked up the mood of his spiritual master and he carried it forward. That was his main technique for spreading Kṛṣṇa consciousness and staying connected to Kṛṣṇa. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #livetogive #bookdistribution #sankirtan #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

This week, it's just Scott behind the mic, holding down P3 Studios with a cup of cold coffee, a half-broken chair, and enough imagination to power a whole radio station. The lights are dim, the vibe's easy, and in the background, Monica's flipping through a pile of old vinyl records like she's searching for the perfect soundtrack to a lazy afternoon. Scott takes listeners on a solo ride through stories, humor, and a few surprisingly catchy AI-created 80s pop songs. As he puts it, “I obviously couldn't afford real music, so I had my office assistant Monica pull up some A.I. tunes. The songs are fake, but the feeling's real.” Between the laughs and late-night reflections, you'll hear: When the City Sleeps – a smooth, midnight drive kind of song. Turn Back the Radio – a blast of nostalgic 80s energy that feels like a summer memory. Until the Morning Comes – a slow fade-out that leaves you thinking just a little longer than you meant to. It's twenty-five minutes of humor, retro rhythm, and that classic Powers Point charm. Whether he's rambling, reminiscing, or just rolling with it, this solo episode proves you don't need a crowd to have a good time—just a mic, a mood, and a fake band that somehow hits all the right notes. So sit back, tune in, and escape into the sound of Straight Out of P3 Studio, where the music might be artificial, but the laughs are all real.

In this episode, we look at Jesus' teaching in Luke 13:1–9, where He calls people to genuine repentance through the story of the barren fig tree. Jesus reminds us that while God is patient and merciful, His patience has a purpose — to give us time to turn back to Him and bear spiritual fruit. Discover how this passage challenges us to examine our hearts, respond to God's grace, and live lives that reflect true repentance. If you have any questions about this podcast or would like to share a testimony or prayer request, we would love to hear from you. Today’s Bible Verse:"If you are determined to go to Egypt and you do go to settle there, then the sword you fear will overtake you there, and the famine you dread will follow you into Egypt, and there you will die." — Jeremiah 42:15–16 In Jeremiah 42, God warns His people not to run to Egypt for safety. Their fear drove them toward what looked like security, but the very dangers they tried to escape would meet them there. This passage reminds us that when we place our trust in human solutions instead of God’s direction, we risk walking right into the trouble we’re trying to avoid. “Want to listen without ads? We have moments in life we wish we could go back and change, undo, or relive for a variety of reasons. In Psalm 51, we see David's raw emotions revealed as He seeks forgiveness for the serious mistakes He has made.

Disaster had struck. A plague of locusts left the southern kingdom of Judah reeling — devastated physically, spiritually, and economically. But through the prophet Joel, God used that crisis to sound the alarm for something even greater: the coming day of the Lord. In this short but powerful book, Joel calls God's people to wake up, turn back, and get ready — because judgment and restoration are both on the horizon. Though written to an ancient audience, Joel's words cut straight through today's apathy and complacency with a message that's as urgent now as ever: the day is coming. The only question is — will we be ready?

In the mountains of northern India, surrounded by snow, altitude, and uncertain roads, James Thomas and two other riders pressed on—confident they could make it through. But what unfolded wasn't just a story of rough terrain or questionable GPS directions. It was about something much more familiar to most of us than we might admit: a mental trap known as cognitive narrowing, where pressure and focus cloud judgment until we can't see what's right in front of us. What happens when that focus becomes so tight, so singular, that we stop processing the cues telling us to stop—or turn around?
Everyone told Paul not to go to Jerusalem—too risky, too dangerous, too costly. But Paul's courage wasn't recklessness; it was rooted in conviction. When God gives you a clear call, no warning or obstacle should turn you back. Real courage comes from knowing what God has said and trusting Him no matter what. May Paul's example embolden your steps today.
