So there's a new trend floating around TikTok where girls are saying, "I'm a lucky girl, everything works out for me," and you know I'm here for it. I've talked about affirmations plenty of times on the Go Girl podcast so of course I was excited to see this mantra trending on the social media platform. I Am are two of the most powerful words and what you say after shapes your reality. I always encourage you to speak kindly to yourself; it matters! Positive affirmations are statements or phrases that are designed to be repeated to oneself as a way to promote positive thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. That's why I encourage you to incorporate affirmations into your daily routine. Listen in as I talk about the Lucky Girl Syndrome, and I'll share the difference between the Law of Assumption and the Law of Attraction. As a certified coach, I cringe when I hear some dating advice that's circulating out there. There are people stuck in toxic relationships because they heard, "If you love him, let him go. If he comes back then he's yours." What kind of advice is that? So in today's episode I'm going to share 4 very familiar cliches and the danger behind the quotes. Everyone wants love, but you deserve a healthy union. So first, say goodbye to these old sayings that might be keeping you in a relationship that no longer serves you. My wedding planning has been pretty smooth and stress-free except when it comes to my wedding dress! Omg, I thought it would be so easy. But there are SO many options out there so your girl is confused. Pretty much, I went shopping with my mom, sister, and mother-in-law...I bought a dress and now I'm having second thoughts! I woke up the next day and freaked out about my decision. However, I found out that I have "wedding dress regret!" I didn't know it was a thing! But so many wives slid in my DMs to tell me they went through the same struggle. Sigh. So I decided to bring my mom and sis on for this week's episode to chat through the wedding dress shopping experience. Listen in as we discuss their first reaction to the dress I bought, what they rated the dress from 1-10, and our final decision. Side note - I think we need a part 2 to this conversation. So the ice cream date debate is back! I shared my opinion in last week's episode on why I think ice cream dates are the best. I posted about it on social media and asked my audience what's wrong with an ice cream date?! Coach Adeja said absolutely not! So I decided to bring her on to the Go Girl Podcast to share why she thinks an ice cream date is the bare minimum. And since she said "even according to men," I asked my fiance to join us on this week's episode so we could get the male perspective! Let's just say the discussion got heated, but it was a healthy debate! Happy Women's History Month! This month is all about celebrating and uplifting the women of our past, present, and future. I love the theme - celebrating women who tell our stories! It's so important because a lot of us suffer in silence and think we are the only person to endure some things. So it's time to embrace your story, learn from your story, and share your story. How have you overcome adversity? How have you conquered your fears? How have you shown another woman love? Let me know below! And take a listen to this week's episode. With a new year, comes new goals! In today's episode I'll share affirmations to help you keep a positive mindset as you navigate this year. You can speak the affirmations to yourself, say them while looking in the mirror, write them on a sticky note, or simply listen to them and pay attention to how you feel when I read the affirmation. Happy New Year! To be honest, I struggle with committing to building new habits, but I found out that writing tasks and goals in a planner and crossing them off works for me! I also recently learned about habit stacking which is a great way to add new habits on top of existing habits. Now is the perfect time to get organized and plan your life. Okay, or plan your year...or better yet, plan your day. As you'll hear in this week's episode, I tend to make huge goals but I'm learning to break them up into smaller parts. Join me for the ride and also take notes, listen in, and learn how to build better habits for yourself!
What is going to be your word for the year? What is your intention? Remember, it's all about your mindset! In previous years, I decided to stop setting resolutions and started focusing on one word to get me through the year, such as "balance...be present...discipline." Listen in to hear my word, or phrase rather, for 2023. Plus I'll share how to set daily intentions. Let's get it!
Hey, girls! Imagine this: you have your dream car, your dream partner, your dream career, your dream life! What does that look like to you? Write it. Manifest it. In last week's episode of the Go Girl Podcast we ended the conversation with a quick mention of showing up as your highest self. In this week's episode, I'm going to share examples and practical tips on HOW to show up as your highest self right now! We are in control of our lives. Visualize it and show up for yourself, girl!
Girl, it's time to get serious about creating the life you deserve! I'm excited about today's guest because she shares how to set intentions instead of New Year's Resolutions! We discuss how to dig deeper into who we are, how to trust ourselves, and how to use feminine energy and manifestations to create the life we want! Jocelyn Kelly Reid is here for one major mission: to lead women towards making a big impact to get rich, work less, play more, and fall in love with life. The turning point that called her to where she is today - including becoming an asset manager, leaving a toxic relationship, landing herself in debt, and moving through a spiritual awakening - is one that is beyond relevant for so many of us. Her story highlights the day-to-day, coming of age we all move through as we navigate our careers and relationship to money. She works with women to expand their feminine energy, to become more magnetic in order to receive what they desire from life and bring forth their manifestations. Listen in as we discuss how to tap into your feminine energy in order to receive your heart's true desires!
