There's been whining and crying and playing the victim all because their program broke the rules and got caught. Why do the Packers insist on playing so traditionally? So boring? That's not the way of football in 2023, regardless of how young your offense is, or how much your offensive line is struggling. Matt LaFleur and Co. have to be willing to try some new things, to get a little crazy if they want to get their offense back on track. Just look at the Vikings and their wild defense. www.commsolutionsmn.com- If we want to change the direction of our government, it takes us getting serious about our local elections. Top-down government never works, but yet we almost completely ignore the offices that are closest to us. The real problem is that we are playing a game that progressives created and wrote the rules to. Almost every city in Minnesota (and really, in the nation) are either a weak mayor/council or manager/council form of government. The progressives created this so that administrators could run the day-to-day operations of the government. Our government was set up to have separation of powers to limit the strength and function of each branch. We need to have some elected representation to provide oversight of the city employees. That should be the function of the mayor. The mayor should decide the direction of the administration, have veto power, propose a budget, etc. Stong mayors have traditionally had a full-time position, and in smaller cities, that's just not feasible. We lay out a case for a new approach to all local government bodies, starting with the history, methodology, and our ideas for necessary reforms in order to strengthen the local government against the state and federal government, but make it more responsible to the people. We give our early take on the horrific attack of Hamas upon Israel. We lay out the ten-cent history of the area to give you insight into the events that led up to this war. It's a take you won't get in too many other places. We also discuss our thoughts about how 2024 is shaping up. Have you checked out our Spotify playlist? At the beginning of each episode, Jason quotes some song lyrics that have to do with the subject matter of the podcast. Andrew never knows what they are, but now he can… and so can you! We've launched the Spotify playlist: “Community Solutions Music From the Podcast!” You can listen to Roundabout from Yes after listing to Episode 30 on Roundabouts… or kick back and enjoy a rocking playlist just for the thrill of it. In this episode, I talk about the power of being direct, forward and just communicating versus running from your problems - especially when it comes to dating. Sometimes I've been anxious or afraid to speak my truth because of the fear of messing things up. But, as of recently, that changed. Here's everything I've learned about being honest and direct about my feelings. If you enjoyed this episode, always dm me @lyss and let me know your feedback. Love you xx.

They shouted, “This is the voice of a god, not of a man.” Immediately, because Herod did not give praise to God, an angel of the Lord struck him down, and he was eaten by worms and died. — Acts 12:22-23 Here Acts helps us again to stand in awe of God. King Herod had set himself up on his throne like a god. What he wore and what he said would have prompted the people to say that he was a god, not a man. And let's not forget that they wanted something from him: peace and food. Well, the king did not give due praise to God, so he was struck down and eaten by worms. But let's be careful not to pass judgment on King Herod so quickly. We may not have a throne to sit on or royal robes to wear. We may not even have one person following us. But sometimes we play God in our own lives. Excessive worry is one way we do that. Worry is a signal that we are taking over God's role of being God in our lives. It's as though we hold tight to this thing as if we have control over it—but of course we do not. As anyone who worries excessively can tell you, there is very little contentment and joy in living that way. When we try to sit on the throne of our lives, taking God's rightful place and not opening ourselves to trust in him, we set ourselves up for trouble. Though we might not be struck down or eaten by worms, we can endanger our very souls. We need to stop playing God and let him guide us into full life. God, you are better at running my life than I am. Help me to give you my life today. Amen.

In this thought-provoking episode of Sit Crooked Talk Straight, hosts Leanne and Katie delve deep into a topic that resonates with women everywhere: the subtle yet profound impact of victimhood conditioning. Society has a tendency to push women into the role of victims, perpetuating the notion that we should be submissive and dependent rather than strong and independent. Leanne and Katie are on a mission to shatter these stereotypes and encourage women to step into their power. Episode Notes: When things go wrong in your world, does it feel like it's not really your fault? Does it seem as though you have no control over situations or that the world is out to get you? You may not realize it, but these are classic examples of a “victim mindset” or a “victim mentality”. Are you stuck in the rut of victim mentality? Tired of blaming others and circumstances for your lack of progress? This episode is a wake-up call. Drawing from my lifetime in the “people-business” side of the collision industry, I shed light on this widespread mindset that suffocates initiative and growth, affecting individuals regardless of their income or responsibility status. I outline the cornerstone beliefs that hallmark the victim mentality and arm you with practical ways to quit the blame game and kickstart positive change in your life. Join us this week, as we re-share Episode 73, and explore the signs, attitudes and even some of the benefits (really?) that some of those around you, or even yourself might be experiencing, when you're stuck in that negative funk of playing the victim. We'll also explore some ideas & suggestions to help you, or others around you, get rid of that victim mindset and gain back control over life! Kathy still hasn't used ChatGPT, but Alex remains optimistic about the bots. (Recorded March 2023 in a pre-visionOS world!)
You've got to really quit playing the blame game. When I was a kid, my father left me. My stepdad beat me and I ended up going to jail the 2nd time for the gun he gave me. My ex-wives lied, stole, and cheated on me. At the end of the day, it's all my responsibility! It would be easy to blame all of those people, but in all of those scenarios with those people, I was the center of all of that. But the blame game doesn't bring you anywhere closer to your goal. Your mission. The one true focus you have in your life. You have to take the responsibility for every single thing you do in your life and every single thing that happens to you. When you blame someone else, you miss the lessons. The wisdom. Wisdom is knowledge, power, and everything that comes with it. Don't steal from yourself. Don't steal from others. Putting the blame on them does just that. Stop playing the blame game. If you do, you'll stay the same. #RiseAbove HOW TO GET INVOLVED: This planet is based on an algorithm and with every positive action, there is an adverse reaction.
