Hey Friend! I got a message from a mama with 3 young children who was feeling wasteful and guilty for wanting to part with her pre baby wardrobe. She wasn't wearing any of it, and didn't feel comfortable or confident wearing it anymore, but couldn't quite make herself get rid of it and buy new items. This episode shares how I helped her, myself, and others over the years with this and similar struggles relating to clothing, as well as HOW TO start over with clothing if you do need to purchase new sizes or styles. Hey Friend! Only have a day or two each week with time to make a home cooked dinner? Here's my simple meal plan solution for busy moms so everyone stops asking "What's for dinner". I knew this was going to be a busy season for us with birthdays, holidays, houseguests, and out of town trips. We needed to save some money to stay on top of everything! The easiest way to save is to stop spending! So I wrote out our favorite dinners and the ingredients needed to make them. I found that I have everything I need to complete dinners this entire week without going to the store! I also have all the ingredients I need to make several breakfasts and snacks, so even if it isn't their favorite thing to eat, there is more than enough to keep everyone fed until next week. I used colored index cards and a little sharpie to create Meal Cards. I used blue cards for dinners and peach cards for breakfasts. I plan to make some for snacks and drinks or deserts my children like to have during the summer too! The Second night of me having meals planned and dinners ready early, we ended up spending several hours at the emergency room and boy oh boy was I glad I had things taken care of at home! I don't care if you live alone or have a dozen kids at home, this is guaranteed to save you time, save money, and eliminate stress and food waste! Only shopping one day a week is another way to save money on groceries. The more you eat at home, the more likely you are to eat those fruits and veggies you forget about if you go to the store multiple times a week. I'm doing this for the next few months at least! Are you with me?? Share your favorite meals in the Facebook group! Hey Friend, As a mom of 4, my mental load can feel overwhelming at times. And when my home is cluttered, I don't feel like I ever get anything checked off my to-do list, and I'm just running around in circles never actually doing anything. More like just moving things from one place they don't belong to another place they don't belong, getting distracted a million and one times along the way. Clutter can lead to feelings of stress, anxiety, overwhelm, resentment, rage, failure, depression, overstimulation and can have other negative impacts on health and wellness. It also significantly interferes with our ability to do things efficiently! When I walk into a cluttered kitchen, the last thing I want to do is make more mess by cooking. Often, I just end up leaving, snacking, or not eating at all. Want to find some ways to share some of the responsibilities or at least simplify them? Listen in and I'll tell you! Hey Friend! I was looking at some pictures from years ago and noticed the differences in how their closets looked. Seems like as soon as we get back into a routine after the holidays, the laundry and clothing becomes a big stressor for us moms. So in this episode, I share my top ways to stop overspending on clothes for your children. When I take a look at what is different now compared to how I shopped for my children 10 years ago, it has changed so much, and the first 4 tips are the most helpful when shopping. Now, I know what will work and what is cute, but should stay at the store, what needs to be donated at the end of each season, and how to know if items will actually be used by my children! Don't get me wrong, as in earlier episodes, you know I have had some challenges finding things my children like, and have had to return a good bit of what I had picked out for my youngest. (She has strong opinions!) She is at an age where she is ROUGH on her clothing and about every month she has one or two pairs of pants with holes in the knees. She is in-between sizes too, making it challenging to find pants that fit her well, and are comfortable. 1. Capsule Wardrobes 2. Color Palette 3. Quality Items 4. Intentional Shopping: -Know their colors, shapes, sizes, and sensitivities -Know where to invest and where to bargain 5. Pack up the Extras I pray this blesses you and helps you to simplify the workload for you and your family! I'm here for you!! Hey Friend! I don't know about you, but I can really put things off around my house sometimes. You know, like cleaning under my bed, or going through the linen closet, or putting fuel in my car. Shhh! Don't tell my husband I parked it on empty again! LOL Well, this last month, my kitchen has really been through a lot. I was out of town, so I prepped meals for the entire week so they would have something nutritious to eat while I was away. My children were home for weeks cooking and cleaning, and putting things in cabinets and drawers all willy-nilly. Stuff was spilled in the fridge I had just cleaned out, and the pantry was a mess too. I knew I needed to take some time this week to put things back together, and I am so glad I changed up my morning routine, because this little change gave my the focus and motivation to take on this big task in just a few hours! Having a well organized and clean kitchen makes me feel like cooking too! I just feel more in control of my home when the kitchen is clean and tidy. I feel more peaceful and accomplished at the end of the day. What about you? HUGS, Jenn WEBSITE: www.thesosmom.com EMAIL: hello@thesosmom.com FB GROUP: www.facebook.com/groups/thesosmomshow
Hey Friend! Happy Holidays!!! I just love this time of year. The gift giving, getting together with so many of the people I love, the cookies and delicious food, the relaxed schedule, the sparkly lights! It's just the best!! But when all the Cele brating is done, it can feel like we just made a big mess of almost every room in our house! So by the time New Year's rolls around, I am sooo ready to pack it all up and get all the decor and mess put away. As I start putting things away, I always make a declutter box and pull out the things I no longer like/want/use. It is always better to let that stuff go to someone else than to keep it piled up in a closet somewhere. Bless someone else with your "mess"!! I've only got a few spots left for the season, so book yours today! HUGS, Jenn WEBSITE: www.thesosmom.com EMAIL: hello@thesosmom.com FB GROUP: www.facebook.com/groups/thesosmomshow

Hey Friend! I had so much fun helping this young lady makeover her room! I know kids spaces can feel really overwhelming sometimes, and I also know WHY they feel that way... It's because when we don't declutter consistently, they end up with so many different categories of toys and things that don't really fit in the storage areas we have designated for their things. In other words, they can quickly outgrow their space when we keep things that no longer fit, don't work, or they just aren't interested in anymore. No matter what age we are, we still outgrow our things. Let's be mindful of that and when we are in a space that feels like it may need to be on our to-do list soon, just grab a few things we have outgrown, and let them go. Maybe they need to go in the trash, or maybe they need to just go to a new home. Either way, your space will feel better, and you will be thanking yourself for taking care of even just a little bit of it now rather than letting it pike up even more. Don't let all the stuff keep you from your life! Book an SOS Call today! I'm here to help!! Hey Friend! This episode has been a long time coming! Every kitchen in every home is used differently, and in most homes, even the basics change seasonally, so we are constantly adjusting our pantries to make them work for the current season and how they are being used with our current groceries. In this episode, I share how I make decisions about what to keep where in the pantry and when I find using containers or baskets to be the better way. I also share several of my favorite containers and how I use them. You can find photos of pantries I have organized as well as my own pantry in the Facebook group. Hey Friend! When I opened this book with my son this morning, I had no idea how much I needed to read that. It was so perfect for what I was already talking with my family about. Sometimes it's just the way we are looking at things that make them seem so awful. I challenge you to look for the good in every situation, and in every person you interact with and find a way to be a blessing in someone's life today! As we go through each day, we can get so distracted by our never ending to-do lists, problems and challenges, or just the busyness of everyday and forget to check our thoughts. Did you know that even plants need to hear positive things? Our words and thoughts are so important! When we look at the messes in our homes, many of us forget that others have children in the hospital that can't play with toys or dress themselves. We forget that our kitchens are messy because we have delicious food, and many around the world would love to have our problems! They would love to have a husband who works long hours and comes home exhausted at night, because theirs hasn't worked in years. When we look for the bad things we are ALWAYS going to find plenty. We are human after all. None of us is perfect, myself included. BUT, when we start to look for the good, we start to see little, tiny things everywhere that we can be thankful for! Let's all work on looking for the best things in our homes and in those around us and saying out loud what it is we see. We can all use a compliment and praise every day, right? Hey Friend! I didn't cook for 10 years, but when I became a SAHM, had my 3rd child, and had another child diagnosed with ADHD the same year, I not only started to cook most of our meals, I started to remove the not so good for us ingredients too! It took years to perfect, and I still get in ruts where I only make the same few meals until we are all tired of them. But this system for grocery shopping and meal planning has made it completely stress free! If you try this for your family, I would love to hear your staples and favorite meals! How do you keep your meals from becoming boring? And Friend, if you are stuck in a rut and just need some ideas, come join us in the Facebook group and ask your questions in there, OR book an SOS call so we can get you unstuck! I'm here for you, friend! HUGS, Jenn WEBSITE: www.thesosmom.com EMAIL: hello@thesosmom.com

Hey Friend! These simple things help me to feel like I'm able to keep up and start getting ahead of the mess at home! Just starting with 1 of these and getting consistent with it can make a noticeable impact! I hope you will share if you start adding these habits into your day! For me, I feel so appreciative of myself later in the day when I have been neglecting these habits, and finally start back and get on track. E everyone in our home can tell a difference in me and our home when I am consistent with these 4 things, and it is quickly noticed when they have been ignored for a few days... I still go through times when I'm not keeping up at home, but with these 4 habits, it is so easy to get back on track and get things running smoothly again.
