When we said we had a surprise for our Season Finale, we weren't lying! We are so blessed to have Jennifer Dukes Lee on the podcast after going through her study, It's All Under Control. Jennifer is a Farmers Wife, Mom, Author and Speaker. She lives on her husbands family farm that's been passed down through generations. She is a true representation of a Christian woman who not only shares about God but also lives a life pleasing to God. If this study blessed your heart then this episode with her is going to bless you even more! She shares what her last straw was for surrendering over control with us and shares the ways she keeps it under control on a daily basis! Tune in as we have real and honest conversations together.
Week 6: It's All Under Control. We cannot believe we are at the end of this book. We have enjoyed it so much and learned a lot along the way. We hope you have as well. This week we are talking about plans, pinings and a promise. Jesus already paid every single one of our debts in full when He died on the cross. Too often, we forget that! God plants us in a place we never even wanted to be yet find it's what we really need. When Jennifer said that, we were both like, wow how true is that. So often we are brought to places we have no desire to be but it's in those places God uses us and we look back on them finding that was exactly where we needed to be at. So, wherever He is planting your seeds at, tend to them well. Help them to sprout up into strong flowers. Flourish in the calling He is leading you into. You will face struggles throughout every planting but it's in that you grow and become something so beautiful! Be sure to tune in next week for our Season Finale! We have a HUGE surprise for you!!
It's All Under Control Week 5:Do you know that familiar feeling of being placed in the waiting room? Where you sit and play the waiting game. Every time the door opens, your eyes quickly shift to see if it's your doctor coming out to give you the report on your loved one. It's not a fun or pleasant feeling. What if we told you that God often places us in the waiting room? The waiting room is a place where we are only told to trust Him to work it all out. There are no hints shared about what's to come out of the waiting or on the timing of when it will all play out. Nothing about waiting is easy. When we try and take the lead over the drivers seat, we are interfering with the work only God can do; delaying the process of His perfect plan for our lives. God's delay sometimes seems like denial. While sometimes this is true, other times it's not. Embrace the wait and trust God through it all, giving God all the control! It's in the waiting where God works on us. Think back on past times when you were placed in the waiting room, can you see now that God's hand was all over it and He was up to something so amazing? Rest in knowing that waiting is a pathway to protection.
It's All Under Control Week 4.Well y'all, this week has been such a good reading. The Lord is working on us and our hearts, teaching us so many things through this study and we hope and pray He is doing the same for you. This week we talk about the importance of quieting our souls so that we can better hear from God. Jennifer writes about Do, Delegate, Dismiss. We've got to allow our schedules to line up with God's plans for us, not ours. Getting caught up in every yes, takes away from others opportunities to shine but also wear us down, keeping us from our full potential in the areas God is calling us to serve in. HELP! I think we can all agree that asking for help is something most of us have a hard time doing. Pride gets in the way, our need to control everything stands in the way, worrying about how it will get done keeps us from asking. There are many reasons why we don't ask for help. But we learn that even Jesus asked for help on multiple occasions throughout His time here on earth. We too, should learn from this and step out to ask for help more often.
Welcome to It's All Under Control: Week 3! We are halfway done already. Please share with us how much y'all are learning and enjoying this study. We love hearing your feedback. Did you ever learn the obedience song in Sunday school or children's church? Obedience is the very best way to show that you believeDoing exactly as the Lord commands, doing it happilyAction is the key, do it immediately, joy you will receiveObedience is the very best way to show that you believeO-B-E-D-I-E-N-C-EObedience is the very best way to show that you believeWe want to live pure, we want to live 'clean, we want to do our bestSweetly submitting to authority, leaving to God the restWalking in the light, keeping our attitude right, on the narrow wayFor if we believe the Word we receive, we always will obeyO-B-E-D-I-E-N-C-EObedience is the very best way to show that you believeLet's face it y'all, being obedient isn't easy! Being obedient is hard work, it takes discipline and self control. BUT we are learning through this study that being obedient to God is so rewarding. You are in charge of obedience, God is in charge of the results. Whew y'all! That is some powerful stuff. The results are in His control, not yours.
Welcome to Week 2 of It's All Under Control! We hope you are enjoying it and getting as much from it as we are. This week we are talking about superpowers. God designed each of us with a superpower that only we have. I know that's hard to believe but it's true. We compared it to Superwoman, she is the only one who can complete specific tasks, that's why she's relied on. God created you with purpose, He designed you uniquely and specifically for your calling. There is no one else on this earth that can complete the tasks He's given you. We often miss out on our superpowers when we keep holding onto the same old path. We do not have to pick one road and walk that path for the rest of you life. We hang onto the place we are right now thinking we are stuck there. We are to come back to the fork in the road daily, asking God to help you choose which way to go. Are you to go left, right, straight or around the round about? We will be the miracle for other people and at some point they will be the miracle for us! God needs you to be that miracle for someone else, focus on what He wants of you and surrender everything keeping you from seeing it through! You can't walk in your calling when you're still hanging onto control because it stunts your growth. The harvest always comes! Don't give up, don't hang on to your difficult circumstances. It will get better and you will come out of it if you just trust God and let Him lead you.
On today's episode we start week one of It's All Under Control by Jennifer Dukes Lee. We are so excited for this study because we both struggle with control issues terribly! Maybe you're like us and struggle really bad with control issues or maybe you've got a better hold of your control. Whatever it is, we know this study has something to offer you, regardless of the level you're on.Join us as we dive in deep and start learning more about ourselves and why we feel the need to control everything. Are you living a free life or a frazzled life? To be honest, our lives tend to be more frazzled when we are trying to have our hands in everything and have control over every situation in our lives. God is the only one who has all the control, even when we think it's us. Gear up and get ready because this study means business and truly points out all of our control flaws!Reading for week was was chapters 1-3.
Today's episode, I'm Not Okay is a special one as we have Caroline Fry joining us. She shares a portion of her testimony and how she drew close to God in one of her most heartbreaking times. Caroline is the children's ministry leader at C3 Church in Clayton, NC where her dad Pastors at. She has a passion for Jesus is like no other and her heart radiates love, joy and compassion. She's a dog mom of a Malti-Poo and huge fan of country music.Every single day we're asked how we are doing and more times than not our response is, I'm good, how are you? Are you really good though? How many times do you say you're okay when truly you're not? Caroline shares about a friend reaching out asking how she was doing with everything at that gut wrenching time in her life and for the first time ever she responded with, I'm not okay! Those three simple words can open up doors we never expected. It allows us to draw closer to our sisters in Christ and let them lift us up and be there just to support and love on us. Ask yourself right now, am I okay or am I not okay? Once the episode is over go back and re-reflect on your answer. This episode is an amazing one! You ladies are in for a treat.
Are there things in your life that you need to literally pull the plug on? Maybe it's over committing yourself to way too many things, a toxic relationship, a negative situation, thoughts in your mind and so forth. We all can take some time to think of a few things that need to be removed from our lives. Some of our plugs are distractions, keeping us from hearing directly from God. They get in the way and it clouds our way of thinking, talking and even acting at times. Join us on this episode as we dive into a great discussion of the things in our personal lives we've had to pull the plug on. We challenge you to evaluate your life and see what plugs need to be pulled. When I am plugged into so many things, I have such a hard time hearing from God. I choose to replace those things with worship, praise, bible reading, prayer and taking time for gratitude!
Plug it in, plug it in. We are so deeply in need of Jesus juice every single day. We need the restoration that He offers us. All we have to do is plug into Him. We don't even have to chase Him down, He is waiting for you and for me.Have you ever been stranded out in the middle of nowhere and your phone dies? Your GPS goes out, you have no idea of how to get to where you're going. You're in a panic and in desperate need of help. In life, we often die because we haven't been plugging ourselves in daily. Plugging into the word, prayer, worship and time spent with God are all such an important part of our daily lives, so when we don't take the time to plug in we slowly start to fade off until we die. Then we become panicked by it, fear and anxiety set in and our mind goes to a place it doesn't want to be.There are times when we need to plug into another source as well. Our friends are the extension cord to help plug us in when we can't seem to do it on our own. We all carry a little more weight from time to time and need others to help lift us up. That is where true Christian friends come into place, they help pick up your cord and connect it to their extension cord. Sometimes we just need a helping hand!
Welcome to Season 4!This is a special episode as we jumpstart it with our very first Guest for the season. Ashley is from Tennessee, she's a wife and mom as well as a Speaker, Founder and Author. Ashley is the Founder of Beautifully Designed Ministry and Beautifully Designed for More as well as an Author of Aiming for Victory, Daily Jewels and Beautifully Designed. Ashley's heart's desire is to connect with other women and help them find their beautifully designed life that was intentionally created by God. In this episode, we talk identity and figuring out who we are. Ashley said, where we put our identity is where we spend our time and energy and that rings so much truth! If our identity is put on negative things from our past, then our time and energy is spent in negativity. Ashley knows what it's like to lose her identity and feel trapped in her busy life as a wife, mom, business owner and friend to many. She like many of us found her self drowning in survival mode and knew something had to change. Tune in as she shares her story and what steps she took to find freedom and her identity through Christ Jesus.
WELCOME BACK! We have missed you ladies so much and look forward to being reunited soon. It's a new season full of laughter and fellowship with a few surprise guests. You've been asking about something and we've listened to your request! Tune in for our BIG announcement for Season 4. We are so excited to grow, learn and connect with you throughout this season. Get ready as we launch Season 4 on August 11th.
Season Finale! Join us for our final episode of season 3 as we speak truth into how and when God uses us. Too often we believe we have to be perfect for God to use us. We get lost in our past and think God could never use someone like us with such a dark and dirty past. God knows what you've been through and God's timing is perfect so if it's now that He wants to use you, then now is the time. Despite everything you've been through, He can and will use you, you just have to be willing. He knows your heart. Ecclesiastes 11:4.In life we should strive to be Christ like, not worry about where we have been and try to be perfect but be the best version that we can be. We often waste our lives by sitting and waiting on perfection because perfection never comes.God uses so many people in the Bible who were imperfect. We hope this episode encourages you to know that you don't have to strive for perfection but to be Christ like and let Jesus meet you exactly where you're at. His power is made perfect in our weakness.
Do you have a contagious courage? What we mean is during difficult trials we often face in life, do you find yourself courageous in the midst of them? Despite what they look like, do you look to God for help and trust Him to pull you through it?We share something personal to us about a time we had courageous faith. We know that without a relationship with God, courageous faith is nearly impossible to have. Tune in as we share our hearts and some things that help us to be women with a courageous faith.
Do you know who God is? Like Who He truly is? On this episode we share only a handful of Who and What God is. When we don't understand Who God is, it's hard to understand what we mean to Him and Who He is to us. We get to know who people are by spending time with them. That's exactly how we get to know God; By spending time with God and reading about Him in scripture. We will be talking about a few attributes of God, as well as sharing scriptures to go along with them. Get your notepad ready and take note because we think you'll learn just as much as we did from this!
Join us on this episode as we dive into what the Proverbs 31 woman means to us and what stands out the most! We discuss how it applies to women in the day and time that we live in and the main focus of what it's all about. It's so easy to get wrapped up in what we feel are rules when reading through Proverbs 31 and if we aren't careful we can miss some pretty amazing things! Tune in if you'd like to hear more about the importance of being a woman living her life for God and what God expects out of us as women living our lives for Him.
Have you ever pulled in your driveway only to forget how you made it home? Like you don't remember the stop lights you went through or the turns made. Or maybe you missed the beautiful sunflower field on the side of the road or the beautiful tunnel of trees towering over the road.We tend to miss a lot of things in life when we don't look up. We can't keep our heads down, we must keep our eyes fixed on God. He is the Author and Creator of our lives and we need Him just as much as we need air in our lungs. We may go through difficult times but our eyes should remain on Him and not the storm. Keeping our eyes on Him doesn't change your circumstances but it does keep your mind off the circumstances on more focused on Him. The closer you draw to Him, the easier it is to navigate through difficult situations in life.
Do you ever feel like when it rains, it pours? You aren't alone! We constantly feel like IT'S ALWAYS SOMETHING. One thing after another.Just when things seem to be going great, it's too good to be true and out of nowhere something else comes. Scripture tell us that we are going to go through trials in life. It's just part of living. Until we get to Heaven, we will continuously face things. We also believe that's where our growth comes in at as well. Sometimes we need a good cry and other times we need a good laugh. Either way, we have to stay close to God throughout the trials we are facing because without Him, it's impossible to get through! The enemy will try to use our situations against us but God will use them for His glory and our good.
Have you ever judged someone? We all can go ahead and raise our hands on this one. There have been times we have judged others when we shouldn’t have and ended up in a similar place regretting that judgement. Maybe you know what it’s like to be judged. It’s not a good feeling and often leaves us feeling inadequate. Remember that feeling the next time you start feeling judgement creep in. It’s so much easier to judge than love. Love takes work. This is a no judgement zone! We shouldn’t judge others because they sin differently than we do. We are all sinners in need of a Savior. None of us are exempt from sin. Be thankful that God doesn’t judge you like you judge others.
Have you been bound with chains to the things of your past? What we mean is, is there something you're still holding onto and having a hard time getting past? It could be bitterness, resentment, anger, unforgiveness and so on.Whatever it may be, we want you to know that God has the power to break those chains. You do not have to live in bondage to anything from your past. In order to do this, this requires you to surrender it over to God! That won't be easy but you can do it.Tune in as we share things from our past that chained us up and we needed freedom from.
Do you show compassion to others? Have you ever been in a place that you needed others to show it to you?On this episode we talk about the importance of showing compassion and how it starts with a heart shift. God shows compassion to us each and every day and we are expected to do the same for others. In fact, Jesus showed compassion to us all when He died on the cross for our sins. He went through all of that so we didn't have to. It won't be easy and there will be days we don't feel like doing it but it makes us feel so much better when we do! We challenge you this week to have some compassion on others and do something nice for them.
Are you a dreamer? We are both HUGE dreamers and pursue our dreams with full force! We also both have physical dreams where God often speaks to us. We have learned in life that so many talk down to you when you share your dreams with them and they'll tell you all of the reasons on why it won't work out. You know what though? No one can ever argue with the dream God has placed on your heart. That’s a gift directly from Him. Don't let the naysayers persuade you to give up on your dreams. If God called you to it, He will see you through it, you have to believe that! We are given dreams and visions for a reason. God will always put the people in your life that are meant to be there to dream along with you and help you pursue those dreams!Joseph didn't allow the hate his brothers had for him stop him from chasing his dreams. Nothing they did to him, kept him from pursuing them. With position comes power and when Joseph had the chance to use his power from his position over them, he didn't.
I think we can all think of a time that we have been betrayed. Betrayal stings and it really messes with our minds. It makes it hard for us to trust again once it's taken place. We talk about how Judas betrayed Jesus and how He continued walking in His calling despite how much that betrayal may have stung Him.In life people hurt us and we hurt them but we have to forgive like Jesus and move forward, not allowing it to paralyze us from doing what we are called to do. Is there someone you have betrayed? It's time to make it right! Is there someone who betrayed you? It's time to heal and let it go!
We have with us our first guest in Season 3! Kaitlin Neal, Founder of The Refuge Retreat joins us as she talks about the calling's God has placed on our lives and what it looks like to walk in them. It takes a lot of patience, trust and hope but God opens those doors and makes a way. God trusted her and her husband with a big calling and they followed His direction in complete obedience. She shares with us how her and her husband moved to the NC Mountains to pursue a calling God had on their lives to start a teen retreat. You don't want to miss this one, her story is encouraging and gives hope in our own future.
Have you ever been standing in church on Sunday morning during the praise and worship and felt out of it? You had a fight with your spouse on the way to church, your kids weren't getting ready quick enough or misplaced one of their shoes. We've all been there, right? Because of your circumstances you just weren't in the mood to worship God. On this episode we discuss how worship isn't based off our circumstances. We worship because Jesus died on the cross for us, it's as simple as that. Through the good and through the bad, when we feel like it and when we don't.Having a heart of worship is important. Tune in to hear why!
Have you ever gone outside when it was raining and embraced the rain by dancing in it? There is something so freeing and carefree about being out in the rain, of course when you intend on getting wet. Obviously you aren't going to go out there after you've curled your hair. Here in North Carolina, it seems like it has been raining for months. One thing is for sure, we aren't in a drought. While that may be true physically, mentally it seems like we are in a drought because we all know that rainy days bring laziness and the blues at times which tends to mess with our minds, draining us.We go through showers and storms in life but we want you to know that flowers take rain to grow, the farmers crops take rain in order to produce and put food on the table. The same applies in our own lives, we have to go through rain to grow in our walk with God so why not embrace it, no matter how hard it is and dance in the rain?God brings the rain but He reigns!
We all face times in our lives where we are unhappy. Things happen and we are upset, sad, disappointed and frustrated. What we choose to do with that unhappiness is up to us but is also extremely important! In this episode we share personal stories of things that have caused us to be unhappy or worried about things and how we had to make a choice to be happy or let it rule our lives. Happiness is a choice and we want you to know that you should wake up every day and clothe yourself in happiness! If you have been unhappy with life, your job, your family, your marriage, your home, you friendships, your ministry, etc then this episode will speak life straight to your heart. Join us as we get real and transparent and share what God has put on our hearts!
Welcome to Season 3 on the podcast, we are so happy to be back! We are diving in and talking about cleaning up your space. Mentally, physically and spiritually we clutter our spaces with unnecessary things. We are sharing how clutter effects us in our personal lives and how breaking from social media and distractions is good for us on all levels. If you are in need of a clean up in your home, in your friendships, in your mind, in your walk with God, in your distractions then this episode will surely speak straight to your heart!
What's up y'all? We are back after a much needed break away. We are so excited to be back with you all and can't wait to share everything that God has placed on our hearts during our time away.Episode 1 will officially launch on February 3. An episode isn't the only thing launching. We have some super exciting things coming on launch day! Follow along so you don't miss the announcement.Spend the next couple of weeks catching up on season 1 and 2!
Welcome to our last episode of Season 2! We have enjoyed every moment throughout this Season and can not wait until Season 3 in 2021. We are taking a few weeks off to prepare for some pretty amazing things coming up. In this time, we hope that you are able to catch up on any episodes that you may be behind on. This episode is a little different as we went live via Facebook while recording and answered listeners/viewers questions that they had for us! We hope that you'll get to know us and our hearts a little better as we answer those questions. See you in 2021! Be on the look out for some pretty awesome and exciting announcements.
Have you ever expected someone to know what you need without asking them? We walk around assuming that others just know our needs and wants and when they don't meet those things for us, we become disappointed in them. WHY?We are so guilty of this ourselves and learning that we can't be mad about those expectations when we aren't expressing them to others to begin with. They can't meet what they don't know. But also we should only expect things from God because God is always good and works things out for our good. It's okay to have expectations but don't have unrealistic expectations! And, cut others some slack when you feel they haven't met your expectations, especially when you haven't even told them what you need from them!
Raise your hand if you're a gal who often assumes the worst in people or in a situation? Someone gives you a side eye and you're already assuming they don't like you, they have a problem with you or you must of done something for them to of made that face at you. Me, I am that girl!In life we assume so many things. What we should be doing instead of jumping to conclusions is, asking for clarification so our minds don't have space to wander. My brain fuels negative and ugly thoughts that turn into a monster if I don't just ask what the problem is. We cannot know the truth without asking for it from the source! If this sounds like something you can relate to, take a listen to this episode.
We often define ourselves of our past mistakes, regrets and choices. Others often do the same for us. We run into that person we went to high school with and try to run the other way because we know exactly what they think of us based off something that happened or the person you were 15+ years ago. It is so easy to get caught up in who we once were or what we once did. We fail at things in life and that's okay. When we are failing, it shows that we are trying new things. I like to try new things and the fear of failing used to paralyze me but not anymore. I like going for it, the least that can happen is I don't succeed at it. But you won't know unless you try.We encourage you to let go of those labels slapped on you by others or by yourself based off your failures.
Ratings is something that we keep up with regularly. The hotel we are staying at needs 5 stars or better yet, 6 if we're being honest. Restaurants need good ratings in order for us to go there and eat. We often judge a book by it's cover without getting to read the inside ourselves. In life, we often judge other based off what we see. We choose who someone is based off what we think by appearance. We often times base who we are off of our situations in life when really we are who God says we are and we can find all of these things in the Bible. We have to be more cautious and not judge based off what the eye sees. Lets go all in and let God speak for every person and every situation.
Have you ever been rejected? Maybe from a sports team, group of friends, spouse, job, family member or even church? Wherever it may of come from, truth is, rejection hurts!Rejection leaves us with a sting that lingers on and on. It makes us question our self worth and question ourselves with why it happened. We talk about how Jesus' time here on earth came with a lot of rejection for Him. What did He do? He turned the other cheek. He didn't let it stop Him from His mission. He continued on doing work for the Lord.In this episode, we encourage you to deal to heal. We have to nip it quick and not allow it to eat at us, causing us to stop pursuing God's calling on our lives. If you've ever been rejected or currently going through rejection, take a listen to this episode! It will help you navigate through the pain. Even if it's not something you are dealing with currently, the truth is, at some point you will deal with it and we would love to share some tips on how to be somewhat prepared for it when it comes.
It's October and before long people will be putting on masks to hide their true identity. In this episode we talk about wearing masks and hiding behind them, not allowing everyone else to see the true and real us.We encourage you to get comfortable and take your mask off. We live in a world where we are always taking off one mask just to put on another. It's easier to hide and pretend we are someone that we aren't than just being who we really are.
Have you ever walked through valley's in life? In those valley's all you can think about is making it to the mountain top. In the valley's we get to experience growth. It's not easy and it's never fun but it is worth the life lesson. God uses those valley's to teach us valuable lessons. We also learn in these season's that He truly is God over it all. The control is all in His hands, not ours. The view from the mountain top is gorgeous while the view from the valley is cold and dark; it's painful. We want to encourage you to give praise while you're on the mountain top and never forget the valley you were pulled from.Life is hard, learning is difficult and times are tough but with each thing we face in life, God is there with us surrounding us on all sides just like a mountain surrounds the valley. Grab your coffee, notebook and pen and listen along as we share our hearts and the importance of the high's and the low's of life.
Have you ever had someone tell you that you're too much or you are extra? Maybe they've even told you that you aren't enough. We are so guilty of allowing these lies to pierce our hearts and fill our minds. We get honest and talk about the things that sometimes bother us when it comes to not feeling like we are enough for our kids, jobs etc. At some point in our lives we haven't felt qualified or like we are enough for the job and unfortunately motherhood, marriage, jobs, etc bring a lot of those moments for us.We want to tell you today that you ARE enough because your Heavenly Father is enough! We are enough because He is enough. You are enough because He made you in His image! You are enough because He loves you as you are. We hope that you'll really listen to this one and realize that while we aren't for everyone, we are for some and those some are pretty special people!
Join us as we gather with Sarah Coates, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and owner of 180 Counseling to five North Carolina locations where their mission is to help others turn their lives around. As well at Host of the Turn Your Life Around Podcast. We discuss the stigma of mental health and everything that goes along with it.It is okay to have Jesus and a Therapist too! We know that's not a popular opinion but that's okay because we know that God has designed us the way that we are and we know that it is okay to seek help when needed. On this episode we encourage you to open up to the idea of requesting help when needed. Seeking help is not a sin!Tune in as we talk about a lot of different things including what led Sarah to Counseling and what her passion and mission is!**TRIGGER WARNING** This episode talks about mental health/suicide.
Today we focus on the importance of being still with God. No distractions, no music, no scripture reading, no prayer. Just take the time to sit and be with Him. It's in these moments that He comes in the stillness and speaks to our hearts. We often fill our schedules so we don't have the time to be still, being still means we think about the things we don't want to think about. Being still means we have no room to fidget around to distract us from the reality of our circumstances. When God is quiet, you need to be quieter. When we don't hear from Him, it's not because He's not talking, it's that we need to get a little quieter so that we can hear from Him. What He has to say may not be what we want to hear, it may not sound how we expected it to sound, but the importance of it is He has something to say to us and we don't want to miss out on that. Have you taken the time to just sit with God? If not, we challenge to you to be still. ***TRIGGER WARNING*** Today’s episode briefly discusses the topic of suicide.
As a child I remember hiding under the covers because I was terrified of what I couldn't see. I had just watched a scary movie, heard a scary story or had a scary thought. The outcome of all of these things were that I was wide awake, alert and terrified of what may be coming for me. Today's episode we talk about staying awake to the thing's that God is showing us and staying awake and aware that Jesus is coming back. We need to open our eyes so that we don't miss the thing's that God is trying to show us.
When you are in a toxic environment taking in toxic things, you often pollute your mind mentally and spiritually. The same goes for when our hearts aren't in the right place in our walk with Christ. We can't attend church on Sunday's, worship praising and praying and leave it there when we leave. We have to worship, praise and pray the other 6 days of the week. We talk about the importance of the environment of which your heart and mind are in. Often times we forget that in order to continue growing in our relationship with God that we have to let go of our past and who we used to be. We are made new!
What do we need right now? This is a question I am sure most of you have asked since March of this year when everything we once knew quickly was taken from us overnight. The answer is as simple as this, we need Jesus! But this world also needs love. Maybe you've heard the song, what the world needs now, is love sweet love, it's an oldie but I will say it sings so much truth. This world needs so much love right now and every day going forward. We are called to love others. To show love in everything we do. We discuss the importance of the things we are taking in, if we are taking in the wrong things, we can quickly become dehydrated causing us to become depleted. We can only put out what we have taken in. This is also why it is so important that we are fueling ourselves with the right things.Grab a notebook and a pen because we caught ourselves taking notes for our own selves and know this episode carries a good bit of information that benefits us all. God always speaks to our hearts through every episode we were record and we walk away with a word we needed spoken to our hearts.
We are so excited for our first Guest of Season 2! Today, we introduce to you all the way from Southern Mississippi Rebecca George. She's a Pastor's wife, Speaker, Writer, Podcast Host of Do The Thing Movement and Interview Coach.Y'all are going to love her, we had an instant sistership! Is that even a thing? If not, we just made it one! Together on today's episode our mission is sharing the importance of investing in the next generation. The next generation is the younger women and teenage girls in the church. Why do we have to invest you may ask? Because we need to pass on what a God fearing christian woman looks like so it can continue for generations to come.We share our vision of leading other women to Christ and coming together in unity with one another because we all play a roll in the Kingdom of God. It literally takes an army and each of us have a purpose. Just as important as it is to be a mentor, it's important to be a mentee as well. We all need at least that one person whose there along with us helping us when we need Godly advice and counsel. We only have the potential to reach so many, so today we share a good bit of information with you on what this looks like and how to do it. Get your notebooks out because Rebecca shares so much information that you'll want to apply to your lives!
Something about this title sounds off, right? You're probably used to hearing the phrase, you can't sit with us! We aren't called to exclude people by limiting our circle. We are called to love other's as God loves them, even if they don't look like us, smell like us or believe like us. We can love one another and still disagree with the way they're living their lives. On this episode we discuss the importance of inviting God into our homes but also inviting others into our homes. Let's open our doors more than normal and invite people in to break bread with us, exactly like Jesus did. Even Jesus broke bread with people who would eventually betray Him.Part of our message to you in this episode is that you are always welcome at our table!!
On today's episode we go back to the beginning, the basics of where it all started. A refresher for the saved and an open invitation of new life for those who aren't yet. We discuss God's love for us no matter how far gone we are. No matter how dirty our lives are or have been. We get a little personal as always and share some of the feelings we have been going through as well as situations in our past. This episode is truly all about sharing how much God loves you, despite any and everything you have ever done. We pray the salvation prayer for anyone wanting to surrender their lives over to God. If you prayed this prayer along with us, please reach out to us. We would love the opportunity to talk with you and give you a gift as well as some others resources.
Today we talk on the importance of speaking out. Speaking out can be positive or negative. We have to control our tongues and know when the right time to talk is. We need to speak up for those who can't speak for themselves. We need to speak up and share about how good our God is.We have to choose our words wisely when talking and make sure we stay away from gossip. We share ways you can separate yourself from the gossip.Join us as we share some things that are on our hearts, even things that have happened in our lives where God challenged us to SPEAK OUT!
We're back and we couldn't be any more excited to be reunited with you all!!On today's episode we talk what's your why. We can't pursue our why if we don't have everything else in line.
