Ever feel like there are SO MANY things you COULD do- it's hard to know what you SHOULD do? We all live there, and there are 2 common reactions: 1. Get overwhelmed and freeze and do nothing. 2. You don't achieve ANYTHING that you don't work for. So whatever goals you have for your life or your business obviously require effort. But we still so often find ourselves not putting in the effort we know we should. We're not consistently doing the things we know we ought to do - WHY!? This is the question that Jim & Jamie answer in this week's episode. People will do everything they believe is both worth doing AND that they'd be successful in - so if we're not taking action, chances are it betrays the fact that we either don't believe the activity is worth it - or we don't believe in our ability to do it. Tune in as a gut check to inactivity.
When you think of what's possible for your life or your business - what data is influencing those thoughts? What metric do you use to define and understand your potential? In this episode Jim zooms in on a scene from the movie "Facing the Giants" and shows how we're often capable of WAY MORE than we give ourselves credit for. The haunting thing in all this - is that we'll only put effort toward things that we think are possible, and if we sell our potential short - we won't work to achieve goals that would otherwise be within our reach! Starting October 1, we are BUILDING BELIEF in our members' community. Check it out here.
In this episode Jamie shares her story from being a nurse with young babies, to starting a business in order to find herself, to losing a marriage, and finding the courage to rebuild. She realizes that life is hard and it throws curve balls - but that we have what it takes to do the hard things. I watch so many people put off doing what they really want to do because they don't feel ready or they don't feel like it's the right time... In today's episode Jim is solo talking about how to choose to move forward even though you might not feel ready. You can catch Jim & Jamie at Power Partners Coaching where aspiring businesses achieve focused results.
There are a lot of things we COULD do, but what SHOULD we do? People freeze at this question all the time, waiting for confirmation, affirmation, even a neon sign from heaven to let them know what they should do. In this episode I share my story - and what it looks like to move forward with ZERO guarantees. What it looks like to do it scared, and without certainty.

What are the obstacles you face when turning your dream into a reality? These are just some of the topics we cover in this weeks episode! Catch Corey at Cre-Tek
What if the story you told of your life wasn't the only story that could be told? What if you had the power to change your situation? Would you want that power? Would you want that power even if it meant you'd be held responsible for what you did with your freedom? In this Episode I talk about competing world views of Chaos and Control and illustrate how they've been around since the beginning of time and how they impact our lives today in everything from menial tasks like finding a babysitter to hugely important things like whether we're going to take a risk or play it safe.

Often when we ask the question of PURPOSE, we're looking for an action to take, or something to do. But that's backwards. What you DO doesn't define who you are, what you do simply reflects who you are. In this episode I talk about BEING purpose, and using that as a launch point to find that intersection between your passion and your talent.
In this episode I welcome my very reluctant and shy wife Sonya to the show to chat about Date Night ideas. Here's the summary: 1. Date nights need to be out of the ordinary 2. Date nights need to require effort 3. Date nights need to be regular We also chat about some of the reasons it's been a struggle for us as a couple to make them a priority.

SEX. This is PART 1 of 4 in a series on INTENTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS and I talk about some important issues that our culture has created: #MeToo is an important movement brought about because of the systematic devaluation of women. But we created that. * We have been raising women to believe that being a wife and a mother is her only top priority and so she needs to do anything she can to attract a man. * We've simultaneously been raising men to pursue meaningless physical sex with zero commitment so they're not tied down and distracted from pursuing their bigger purpose. This recipe is not designed to go well.
Last week we talked about how to MAKE money, and that inevitably drew questions about how to MANAGE the money we're making! In order to bring value to that topic, I brought in Dave Ramsey Certified Master Financial Coach (and great personal friend) Gabe Cooper out of Phoenix, AZ. We talk about: *budgeting and how to start a budget, what to expect when starting. *getting on the same financial page as your partner *the peace and relief that comes from feeling control over your income *practical steps you can take RIGHT NOW to start getting control over your money Check it out! Your wallet will thank you!
Often the only advice we get on how to make money is to "go to college so we can get a job" That's it. There's a TON of info on how to MANAGE money - but very little on how to make it. In this episode I talk about how money simply follows VALUE - and if you want to make more money, you need to be solving a bigger problem so you can be adding more value.
Ok, so you WANT to do something, or even think you SHOULD do something, but your circumstances make it hard or even impossible...and so you're left feeling powerless and out of control to affect change in your life. In this episode I talk about Concern, Control, and Influence and how we can use these concepts to make progress even in the midst of seemingly impossible circumstances. STOP BEING A VICTIM TO YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES!
Since we were young, we've been asking one haunting question: WHO AM I? And the answer we get to that question, the one we accept and internalize, determines how we go about living our lives. Did you accept an identity of courage, beauty, strength, and value? Or when you asked that question were you told that you'd never amount to anything? Or that you were 'weird' or 'different'? In this episode I recount the bullying I experienced as a kid and WHY it didn't affect me.
We're ALL salespeople - the difference is that some of us recognize that fact and so we practice and use it to our advantage, while others of us pretend that "we're just not salespeople"... The ironic thing to realize, is that sales happens in ALL OF LIFE - not just business, so the people who learn the skill - tend to get what they want... In this episode, I bring on my business partner Jamie Soucy as a special guest and we talk through 3 tricks to win the MINDSET of sales. 1. You have to be SOLD yourself. 2. You have to be COMMITTED to hitting goals. 3. You have to TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for the outcome Learn how those 3 tricks will help you overcome all the obstacles so you can begin to implement the SKILLSET of sales.
