HOW DO YOU LEAP TO THE NEXT LEVEL?Deep and deliberate practice. Intense personal training. These are the things that build up a pro athlete. These are the reasons why pro athletes are close to peak physical perfection. Sellers can also level up their game to perfection by doing the same things, to develop themselves into pros in the selling field. Tune in and learn all of these from Sales Coach, and co-founder of The Practice Lab, Jordana Zeldin, in this latest episode of Love Selling Hate Sales. HIGHLIGHTSJORDANA: DEPTH OF LISTENING = WILLINGNESS TO DISCLOSE“How deeply you listen directly impacts the amount that the person you're listening to is willing to disclose. If we're expecting, as sellers, that prospects open up to a total stranger about their deep dark challenges, one powerful way to encourage that is by listening really attentively.”JORDANA: NOBODY'S THERE BUT YOU“No one's sitting there watching you, or listening to your pitch, writing down a list of questions that they're just dying to share with you. It's your job to draw them in and be very strategic with that question, and put yourself in their world.” JORDANA: THE STUMBLES AND TUMBLES WILL DEVELOP YOU MORE“The science of behavioral change and skill development, as well as neuroscience, backs everything that you just said, which is that if you go slowly and deeply; making mistakes, stumbling, doubling back, and making corrections, that is where you most effectively develop your neurological circuitry.” Connect with Jordana and her work using the links below: Jordana Zeldin | ThePracticeLab.co About Josh Wagner: Josh is a growth advisor and the host of the Love Selling Hate Sales podcast. As we are wrapping up 2022, I always love to end the year by sharing my biggest lessons as a business owner and human with you. Because every year, whether I want it or not lol, I learn so many lessons that changed my life.In this episode, I share a lesson that took me truly 3 years to grasp in my business. It is a million fucking dollar lesson. And this may SHOCK you.For the last three years, I have struggled to fully TRUST the idea, “If I do change my thoughts, I will change my reality.”This year, I finally found out why I didn't fully trust this magic... and I am going to share it with you.My trust has grown in this, and it's a cornerstone of my coaching, but in 2022 I realized that trust was at 75% and not 100%.Here is how I know that, my reality wasn't what I wanted it to be.I can say that without shame and without being mad at myself, because I have the skills and tools to be radically honest with myself, that I I love my life and yet I want more. There is something that whispers, “This isn't it.”My trust with changing my thoughts was at 75% when it came to creating my results. But by the end of the year, it finally got into 100%.And today, I share what got in the way of that 25% difference. THIS 25% DIFFERENCE IS MY MILLION DOLLAR LESSON.This lesson is a two-parter:First, I am going to share why you don't want to use the PROCESS of changing your thoughts to fix you.Second, you have to make sure that your top priority after that is to SELL YOURSELF on why changing your thoughts work. This episode is honest + juicy AF. If you want to make more money in 2023, listen to this on repeat. In this podcast, we dive into…A] If you are using changing your thoughts as a way to FIX you, rather than, enhance your life for the long-term you have to change that relationship asap.B] You have to buy into the process on your own for it to work.C] You have to then understand that this process is your FOREVER job. Okay go tune in so you can have a million-dollar lesson.Contact:Instagram: @_reganstorm1:1 Coaching Application Website: www.reganstorm.comFree Training: Three Strategies To Help You Create Your First 4-Figure Month

That mindset that it creates is the same mindset that pushes and frames everything else I do during the day.”WALKER: Don't be afraid to make mistakes“If you're not making mistakes, it means you're not trying anything new, it means that you're not progressing. You're going to make mistakes. That's a good thing. DON'T ALWAYS GO FOR A “YES”, GO FOR A “NO”How does Instant Gratification play out in sales? Walker answers this question by explaining that either a YES or a NO can give you instant gratification after every meeting or sales call. Walker discusses further that a NO is desirable depending on what you decided as your expected outcome for every meeting, so always set yourself to get a YES or a NO. Learn more by tuning in to this latest episode of No BS Sales School. NON-BS WORDS TO THE WISEWALKER: How a NO can give you instant gratification“Sure you can get a YES, but also getting a NO at the first meeting, or the second meeting is a sh*t ton better than getting one at the sixth meeting, or never getting a return phone call.”WALKER: Practice to be a better decision maker“NO is my second favorite word I hear all the time. No means here we should celebrate NOs you don't have to waste your time there anymore. All this crap about salespeople having to be persistent and hunt people down till they get a YES, that's terrible advice.” Where to find Walker:LinkedIn | Twitter | Instagram | Free training course | WalkerMcKay.com

As adults, responsibilities can take over our lives, leading to days filled with worry, anxiety, and stress. Moreover, the technology that's supposed to help make our lives easier can even contribute to the already stressful environment that we find ourselves in. In this second of a four-part series, Jordan continues his conversation with Sales Health Alliance founder Jeff Riseley about mental health management tips to help you not only to survive but thrive in your workplace. Jeff particularly hones in on gratitude, and how focusing on positive takeaways can literally strengthen your brain muscles and help you gain a healthy disposition, regardless of the situation you are in. HIGHLIGHTSIs technology taking over your life?Helpful habits for managing your mental health more effectively Focusing on gratitude can do wonders for your brain health Be child-like in your gratitude QUOTESJeff on the dangers of letting technology drive you: "The technology that we surround ourselves each day, it loves when we're not thinking logically. And it loves when we're in react mode. Because when we're in react mode and we're feeling emotional, we're going to turn to things like social media and our devices to try and replace that void that we're feeling." Jeff on neuroplasticity and gratitude: "You can literally strengthen muscles in your brain and change how our brain is operating by executing on things like gratitude, which is huge. So the more you kind of go back and reflect and focus on the positive things taking place that may have been overshadowed by a massive deal falling through, or getting stuck in traffic, or that person cutting you off in the street. The more you go back and reflect on those things, the more your brain learns how to direct attention and become focused on those things moving forward." Digging your way out of a dark place is challenging for everyone, so don't ever think that you don't have the strength to make it out. In this episode of the No BS Sales School, your host Walker McKay talks to Gabe Ricks of Fulcrum Risk Solutions about surviving the mental hardships of running your own business and making it through the challenges that come your way. HIGHLIGHTSYour situation right now is 100% your fault Stop making excuses and start making things work The sacrifice that Walker had to make for his businessEntrepreneurship is hard but fulfilling Getting diagnosed with ADHD and battling depression Advice for sellers during unpredictable markets Get yourself a vision and a planYou must be willing to do the work QUOTESWalker on how getting called out for his excuses changed his life: "The times in my life where I have grown the most, the pivot points, have been where I have caught myself or have been pointed out to me that I was making excuses. That's the time when all of a sudden, things change for the better in the big picture." Walker's advice for would-be entrepreneurs: "The advice I give to entrepreneurs and founders and people that are going out on their own is if you're dumb enough to do it like I was — it takes longer than you think, it's harder than you think, and at least in my case and most people I talk to, I would do it again."Walker's advice to sellers for surviving unpredictable markets: "Don't hang out with people that are bitching, whining, and complaining because they're gonna create their own reality. Somebody in your business is gonna crush it. It might as well be you." Selling with Dignity - INTERVIEW with Harry Spaight who is a Keynote Speaker, Sales Coach, Host of the “Selling Made Easy” PODCAST, and Author of the book, “Selling with Dignity". Harry was in corporate sales where he sold millions in revenue and led top sales teams for a Fortune 500 company.
Walker didn't have the luxury of an actual sales education when he was starting out, so he went on to start the sales program that he wished he had. In this episode of the No BS Sales School podcast, your host Walker McKay talks about his humble beginnings as a seller, the horrible advice that passed as sales training during those days, and why he eventually started his own sales coaching program. HIGHLIGHTSLooking back at Walker's first days in real estate sales What Walker's sales training (or lack thereof) looked likeWalker's life-changing meeting with an actual sales coachWhy Walker started to teach sales on his own What Walker's sales education program looks like QUOTESWalker recalls his first piece of actual sales education: "He started showing me the psychology of sales. Why people buy, how to build rapport with people, how to build trust, why does it matter if somebody doesn't like you. They don't have to like you, they need to trust you and respect you. But that didn't mean you could cuss at them."Walker's impetus for starting his sales education program: "I wish that I had access to really good consultative selling skills early in my career so I wouldn't have botched around for 15 years being a jerk, or being a wimp, or being everybody's friend. All those things don't work worth a damn. It didn't work worth a damn for me."What Tuesdays with Walker might look like: "Tuesday, over Zoom, for an hour, people come together and we teach skills. It's questioning strategies, it's how you manage expectations, and it's effective networking. How do you use your damn telephone? How do you deal with objections? How do you make sure people don't get buyer's remorse?" Where to find Walker:LinkedInTwitterInstagramFree training coursewww.walkermckay.com

Most people, but sellers in particular, are afraid of silence because it makes us uncomfortable. This discomfort often leads us to try and talk more to ‘take control' of a conversation. If you're a seller, try not to give in to this temptation. Because the moment you start talking more than your client, you will have already lost the deal. In this episode of the No BS Sales School podcast, Walker McKay shares a deceptively simple and almost contrarian take on selling that if applied correctly, should help you 10x your goals and become a better seller overall. Spoiler alert: it involves shutting the hell up. HIGHLIGHTSYour customer doesn't actually care about your productLet the customer do the talking You're missing a lot of important information by talking too muchHow sellers can use the discomfort of silence Don't be afraid of a little vulnerability Don't have every answer; be quiet QUOTESWalker on why your product doesn't actually differentiate you from other sellers: "People will buy mediocre and pay more if they like the experience, if they like the person that they're dealing with." Walker's tips for differentiating yourself from other sellers: "Shut the hell up. Be quiet. Shut your pie hole. Stop talking."Why sellers should let the customer do the talking: "The whole time she was talking, I was thinking, 'Nope, don't wanna do it. Has nothing to do with me. Not where I want to spend my time. Nope, nope nope.' Meanwhile, she is having none of that because her brain is figuring out what words to say next. There's no processing going on when you're talking. It's just what words are you gonna say next." Where to find Walker:LinkedInTwitterInstagramFree training coursewww.walkermckay.com

Hi, Thanks for watching our video about The Number One Thing You Should Be Doing With Your LeadsThe Goal:To be active all day long by prospecting to the fullest ability and leveraging all your resources. The why:A lot can change in someone's life and if everyone just calls 1 time then how will you build the competitive advantage? You have to call multiple times, voicemail with energy and creativity, text multiple times with creativity and energy, and do the same for the email.. Humans change every single day so if someone does not want to do something right now, it's our job and duty to find out why and speak to them when they're in the right mental state. If you want to make sure you leave no meat on the bone when prospecting, then prospect like a true hunter.. Land, air, and sea. Call, voicemail, text, email in the morning, then do a different message in the afternoon, and do a final message in the evening.. You will find that people respond back to you on the second and third times more than the first. Strategy:Get your team together or yourself if you're an individual and think of creating voicemail, text, email, that will get someone to respond to you. Then think of two more that are different for the afternoon and evening in case they don't respond to the first or second..Every lead needs to be called, texted, emailed and left with customized messaging that you makeFollow up leads and new leads should have different scriptingActivity:Create with your team creative voicemail, text, and email script for the day for 3 rounds - be creative, reach out to me if you need help. MorningAfternooneveningGet your lead assignment and load up a customized list to dial todayRecord your new voicemail for the morning, afternoon, and eveningHave your texts and email scripts for the morning, afternoon, and evening ready to go so you can copy paste them and work effectively. Schedule:Schedule in the morning - Execute on text, email, voicemail to your whole pipeline = new leads and old leadsLunch - Follow up with your pipeline and get lunchAfternoon - Call leads again and execute on the voicemail, email, and text round 2Evening- Call leads again and execute on the voicemail, email, and text round 3Leader does activity checks so we make sure this gets done and confirms execution in the morning, afternoon, and eveningThe result….If you or your team runs this exercise fully you will get double the responses you typically get on average which will lead to more sales and more results. The whole point is to get more action going throughout your day. Most people will not be ready to buy from you, so don't pressure them to say yes. However, that doesn't mean you should be sheepish about asking them to make a decision. In this episode of the No BS Sales School podcast, Walker McKay talks about shortening a needlessly long sales cycle for the good of both you the seller and the customer as well. HIGHLIGHTSTime kills deals Your sales cycle is long because you make it Most people will not be ready to buy from youDon't put pressure on people to say yes QUOTESWhy time kills deals, says Walker: "The longer your sales cycle, the longer you make your sales process, the less likely it is to close."Walker on why sales cycles are long for no reason: "What we need to be doing is disqualifying people that aren't ready to buy. A lot of times the reason our sales cycle is so long is because we make it that long. We as a salespeople, we make people go through three, four, five, six, however many meetings because we're afraid to ask somebody to make a damn decision." Sales is a lot like hunting for food; you don't want to depend on squirrels that take too much work but yield little meat, nor should you always aspire for elephants because you might not have the capacity to handle them alone. In this episode of the No BS Sales School podcast, Walker argues that you should go for deer: they are easier to hunt than elephants, and they yield a lot more meat than squirrels. HIGHLIGHTSThink of your clients as squirrels, deer, and elephantsRaise prices with squirrels, don't let elephants own you, and find more deerAsk your deer customers these 5 questions QUOTESWalker on why your deer customers are your sweet spot: "Deer are the ones that are right in your sweet spot. You can handle them very well with the infrastructure that you had. Let's pretend you had somewhere in between 12 and, could be, depending on your business, a hundred of them. You'd have a hell of a nice business."Walker on why you need to bring in more deer customers: "People are comfortable and are effective at referring you to people like themselves or smaller. So deer customers will refer you to other deer customers. Squirrels beget squirrels beget squirrels beget squirrels." You've got your vision, you've sorted out your attitude. Now you need to define your approach. In this episode of the No BS Sales School, Walker talks about having a well-defined strategy to guide you and your sales team towards success so that no matter the situation, you have a way to get to your ideal outcome. Whether it's closing the deal or disqualifying an unfit prospect early on so as not to waste anyone's time, you're still succeeding. HIGHLIGHTSThe three parts of your third key to success Walker's strategy for success You need a well-defined system for selling Define your ideal outcome and the steps to get there What selling could be if we got rid of all the BS Always have a strategy, process and tactics in place QUOTESWalker explains his own system for selling: "One of the things I like about having a well-defined process for selling with individual steps is that you can know where you are and you're not wasting time. My system teaches people to disqualify those prospects that aren't ready for you yet or just aren't the right fit. You disqualify and win anyway."Walker on what selling is really all about: "Selling is not convincing. Selling is not about educating [your clients]. Selling is about educating yourself about what the prospect is dealing with, what emotional compelling reason do they have, if any, to make a change. And do they have a budget for it?"Walker on what selling could be, without all the BS: "It is fun watching people shed the armor that they walk in, the bull**** that surrounds them, and learn how to just be open and honest with other people. Be direct, be kind, not be some patsy.” Where to find Walker:LinkedInTwitterInstagramFree training coursewww.walkermckay.com
Believe that you can, and you're already halfway there. In this episode of the No BS Sales School podcast, Walker McKay talks about working on the one thing that holds most people back: their attitude. While most people complain about external factors for their own predicament, Walker insists that we look inward and find confidence within. Tune in to listen to Walker's tips on changing your mindset and business outlook for the better. HIGHLIGHTSMaybe it's you, not the companyDon't ask for things to get easier, get better instead The problem is most likely you, but you're also the solutionConfidence comes from withinWhen things seem simple, you probably just don't understand it Other people's opinion of you, good or bad, do not define youOwn your imperfections and be don't afraid to failBe a lifelong learner and be known as a giver QUOTESWhy the grass may not be greener on the other side, says Walker: "If the company you're working in is not getting you where you need to be, is not good, is holding you back, well then alright, sonny boy. Grab yourself by the bootstraps and go somewhere else. What you may find when you go somewhere else is, it's so funny, this place isn't perfect either." Walker's advice for getting rid of your excuses: "If your words are 'I can't do it, they won't call me back. These people are stupid. Nobody's gonna pay this price.' See that's a bullshit excuse. You haven't figured out how to do it. And the more that you can use those words 'I haven't figured out how to,' the freer you will become. Because you recognize once again, [that] you're the problem. That's the good news. The bad news is you're the solution and you've got to change."Walker on why confident and successful people aren't afraid of s little competition: "Those of us who are successful, that are confident, we realize there's an infinite amount of success. We lift people up so they can have it too." Where to find Walker:LinkedInTwitterInstagramFree training coursewww.walkermckay.com
