Un libro che nelle intenzioni dell'autore, fotografato in copertina da Mimmo Summa,  vuole essere un omaggio alla musica d'autore italiana da riscoprire attraverso il filtro della poesia che le canzoni hanno ispirato. Si tratta di un vero e proprio viaggio musicale  – spiega lo stesso Cosi  – «attraverso le poesie e le canzoni, attraverso una chitarra o un piano, attraverso le parole e le emozioni. La canzone scappa via la poesia si aggrappa al cuore e rimane lì sospesa.Bisognerebbe educarsi alla canzone con la poesia, ascoltare il più possibile i vecchi e nuovi cantautori, leggere la storia. Fu Vincenzo Micocci che “inventò” il termine “Cantautori” negli anni Settanta con la scuola romana nel famoso Folkstudio fucina di grandi artisti.»Impreziosisce la raccolta l'inserimento ad ogni poesia del qrcode del brano che ha ispirato il componimento.   Scrive in prefazione Carmelo Grassi  direttore artistico Nuovo Teatro Verdi di Brindisi: «I “45 giri” del titolo sono rotazioni dell'anima. Sono istantanee di un'epoca che, lungi dall'essere nostalgica, diventa un laboratorio emotivo per il presente. Questo libro è più che un'operazione retrospettiva, è un vero atto di riappropriazione: ci restituisce le canzoni come spazi aperti, come paesaggi in cui tornare a camminare. E lo fa con uno stile sobrio, calibrato, mai ridondante. Una poesia che non alza la voce ma che resta impressa. “45 giri di poesia” è anche, infine, un invito. A riascoltare con attenzione. A rileggere con lentezza. A non archiviare mai ciò che ci ha emozionato. Perché la bellezza – come la musica, come la poesia – non ha bisogno di molto per rivelarsi: le basta una scintilla. Un frammento. Una parola giusta al momento giusto. E Gianluigi Cosi, in queste pagine, ha saputo trovarla.»Gianluigi Cosi è nato nella primavera del 1976 a Brindisi dove attualmente vive e lavora.  Cantautore e scrittore scrive filastrocche, canzoni e poesie. Dal 2007 è il cantante dei “Rinoplastici” una tribute band dedicata a Rino Gaetano. Ha iniziato a fare teatro portando in giro lo spettacolo dal titolo “Ci vuole un fiore” cantando Endrigo e leggendo Rodari che considera suo maestro ispiratore. Ha scritto per il Raggio Verde: Betta caretta e gli amici della macchia (2015), Camilla clorofilla e il bosco che brilla (2017) Iole girasole e i prati in fiore (2019), Nessuno bacia Biancaneve (2021), Hanno vinto i bambini (2024). Dai libri sono nati gli spettacoli teatrali in collaborazione con Paola Giglio con musiche originali.
