The hours (and days) of scouting assistants, QC coaches and interns clicking through and filling out film data in the backroom of a football facility are long over - and we largely have Pro Football Focus to thank for that. As the data has grown, and grown, and grown....so too have the questions regarding its accuracy, application and so much more. Steve Palazzolo is here to tell you it is in good hands. From the upstart company and how he got his start to the massive shift the game has made to using the data - Neil and I ask Steve all the questions about PFF and how it has made the game better. Steve Palazzolo from the 33rd Team joined the show. Steve reacted to the Steelers finally signing Aaron Rodgers and how that raises the ceiling for the Steelers. He talked about a few things Rodgers falls in love with and a few things he sometimes will refuse to do. Steve said Rodgers didn't have a ton of trust in his receivers last season. The Steelers are at odds with TJ Watt in terms of a new contract – the guys asked Steve what should happen between both sides. Steve believes they should lock up Watt for a few more years at market value. Steve said the Jets offensive line was OK and was not as bad as everyone will tell you. Steve said the Steelers still have 2-3 big question marks on their own offensive line and you can't just assume it will be a good group. Steve said bringing back Justin Fields did have some upside for the Steelers, but there's no guarantee in that. Steve told the guys he does like this plan a little bit better than the team going big money for a player like Geno Smith or Sam Darnold.
- Jonathan Jones from CBS Sports reported that the Steelers are ‘low-balling' other teams to acquire an extra pass-catcher. It could be a WR or TE. According to a Tik Tok post by Keenan Allen, he won't be a Steeler. The guys went through a few other teams/players that the Steelers should have their eyes on if they want to go for it. If the Steelers are serious, why not up the price? The guys said there are moves the Steelers made this offseason that could make them look really smart or really stupid. – Steve Palazzolo from the 33rd Team joined the show. Steve Palazzolo from the 33rd Team joined the show. Steve didn't want to pick a definitive winner between the Steelers and Cowboys with the George Pickens trade because he can see it really working for both sides here. Steve commented on the timing of this deal and has a feeling the Cowboys saw the player they wanted go ahead of time in the 1st round a couple weeks ago. Steve would love to see the Steelers focus more on 2026 and 2027 and keep building the roster for the future instead of continuing to try biting at that apple. Steve pointed out that we have never seen DK Metcalf as the sole receiving threat in an offense. Who are some names that could be legit WR2 options on the roster or guys the Steelers could bring in? Steve talked about the strategy of putting yourself in position to set yourself up for the future. The guys asked Steve about some upcoming QB prospects.

A few more calls on Rodgers. Steve Palazzolo from The 33rd Team joined the show. Steve pointed out how rarely we have seen QBs mull retirement then return to play well that season, besides Brett Favre in 2009. Steve doesn't think Aaron Rodgers is close, at all, to making up his mind. Steve's draft strategy would be taking a QB early, but isn't sure what their internal grades look like. Steve said teams shouldn't be afraid to take QBs even if they don't necessarily need one, which might be why the Steelers are in this spot to begin with. What would the Steelers look like if they let Mason Rudolph run the show next season? Donny Football Debrief – Lee Corso announced that the first College Gameday of next season will be his last.

Steve Palazzolo from the 33rd Team joined the show. Steve reiterated that he would re-sign TJ Watt at $40M/year into his mid-30's. The guys asked Steve which teams around the league are getting great results with a non-special QB and how he would rank some of the second tier QB prospects of this class. Steve explained to the guys why he thinks Jalen Milroe got invited to the draft this year. Is the '26 QB class that much better than the '25 class? Steve doesn't think it's a guarantee that Arch Manning declares for the '26 draft. Steve is always in the mind of drafting a QB because it's important to take shots. Steve likes all of the big DL prospects in this class that could be available at 21st overall.
Shedeur Sanders has wrapped up his visit with the Steelers. He is now Poni's preferred pick in 2 weeks. But he wants them to groom the kid to start from Day 1, which doesn't happen with Aaron Rodgers in the fold. How does that relationship work if it comes together? That being said, there are a lot of reasons to be skeptical of this working out. Steve Palazzolo from the 33rd Team joined the show.
