I like to think of self-healing and global-healing as fully connected and maybe even of the same. I mean think of it, how empowering and transformative to know with every cell in your body that when you get to the heart of your emotional triggers, judgements and biases, that you are improving your daily life and healing the world, too!? Talk about a win-win situation! This concept of the outer world being a reflection of our inner world is not new nor is it mine. Though I feel like this episode might offer us an empowering guide, refresher and process to go about bringing more ease and joy to our personal lives, while healing our world...One emotional trigger at a time. :) Enjoy! We all have a voice and we all deserve to speak, sing, yell or yodel with pure joy, confidence and gumption. :) Thankfully, Danielle Woerner is here for us. In this episode, Danielle shares her expertise and guidance in using our voice as the powerful instrument that it is. What I especially love about this conversation with Danielle is her willingness to normalize the fears behind vulnerable self-expression or the shame we experienced as kids around what we say, how we say it or our ability to sing.Thank you Danielle for lifting my own spirits around my relationship with my voice!Danielle guides you through a gentle practice to use before Zoom calls, conversations, teaching, or important calls. And if your inner dialogue is going down a negative spiral right now, remember..."Anybody can sing. Your voice is good enough. No matter what your 5th grade teacher told you. You are enough. Your voice is enough." And for more inspiration..."The voice is your instrument to your soul." - Danielle WoernerYes! With a quote like that, I find myself wondering what would happen if we all were given the opportunity to nourish, find, heal, or empower the instrument to our soul.Danielle is a long time professional singer and recording artist, voice teacher, founder of the Initiative Sing Into Joy, singing as your path to wellness. On a scale of 1-10, how happy do you feel about your morning time tempo?0 = I feel drained, overwhelmed, rushed. 10 = I love the pace of my morning. I found I was at a 3. I didn't make time for myself, I felt rushed while making breakfast and I'd feel overwhelmed by the time I sat down for work. Uggh. Something needed to change. This episode shares what I did to change my 3 / 10 to a 9 / 10 and guides you through a series of open-ended questions to help you bring more flow into your morning. Let's get to the heart of the "Morning Overwhelms" and see what we can come up with together!(These questions can help with more than just the morning time. Honing in on a specific time - like the morning in this case - is helpful for making sustainable and realistic changes...And, well, not get overwhelmed even more.) We get into: Feeling drained and judging ourselves Self-sabotage & self-induced stress (Both of which I'm very familiar with!)The real challenges of feeling like we don't have enough timeWhy do I use open-ended questions?Open-ended questions are one of the most powerful types of life tools we can possess; Curiosity expands our view of ourselves and the world around us!Why do I share my stories?Vulnerability is a catalyst for trust and I hope by sharing my personal stories and struggles that you know you are not alone and this is a safe and supportive space for you to be your whole, awesome self. (Even if you're not sure what your whole, awesome self looks and feels like yet.)In gratitude,Jaime Komer :)www.jaimekomer.com*I invite you to email me directly for your coaching and speaking inquiries at hello@jaimekomer.com. In this episode, Feng Shui Master, Dawn Sumerford shares with us the history and foundations of Feng Shui, our connection to land with Feng Shui, and how the items in our home influence our energy.Plus...Dawn shares a Feng Shui-related life tool that every person - no matter your income and life circumstances - can use today. I've tried this tool on for size since this recording and I'm amazed at how such a simple practice makes such an energetic and tangible impact. I used Dawn's life tool to help shift from feeling creatively-drained and emotionally stuck to feeling motivated and clear-headed. I'm curious what you experience with this life tool. Enjoy! As one who is fairly new to Feng Shui practices, I appreciate how Feng Shui tunes into the connections between our health, financial abundance, and well-being, with the tangible items in our home, the energy of a space, and the land in which our living space is on. What is community? How do we cultivate a community that is inclusive, accessible, integrity-based, and conscious-driven? In this episode, I speak with Crystie Kisler, Co-Founder of Finnriver Farm & Cidery. I am in gratitude for Crystie's passion and innate gift in cultivating and empowering community. We hear from Crystie how Finnriver began (not as a cidery), what community means to her and what it looks like, ways Finnriver has been cultivating community, and ways to show up in our daily life to evoke change and growth. Crystie also shares some tools for businesses who are looking to cultivate a greater sense of purpose-driven and community-based initiatives, as well as a plethora of personal life tools for centering. Having the fortunate opportunity to live near Finnriver and witness the proactive outreach and nourishing collaborations throughout the community, I often wonder...What if we have more businesses or opportunities that connect people to the land? What is needed to create such an experience for people in an urban setting? And as Crystie asked in this episode, how can we make places like Finnriver more accessible to people who are financially, geographically, or otherwise unable to access it? Big questions to consider and explore. As Finnriver continues to evolve, I'd like to say thank you to Crystie and the entire Finnriver community for expanding my perspective on what is possible when cultivating community. *Finnriver Farm & Cidery is a community gathering space located in the Chimacum Valley, on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington. Why is it so hard to speak our truth sometimes? What gets in the way of sharing how we truly feel? Today I'm sharing three facets to speaking your truth and we're honing in on one in particular. Let's move through the fear and vulnerability together. We really can speak our truth from a place of love and to do so requires doing some inner work first. We'll get into this together. It's time to roar, friends! *Within this episode I reference the solar plexus and root chakras. For clarity, chakras are the body's energy centers. The throat chakra is also a major center for speaking one's truth, which I did not mention in this episode. www.jaimekomer.com@jaimekomer*Enjoy a free workshop with me here. ***At time of recording, this podcast was titled Happy Vibes Conversations***
Here's your personal manifesting guide! I guide you through a three step process of manifesting how you want to feel when you wake up in the morning. I find this process to be so much more powerful than traditional goal setting (even after years of practicing and teaching goal setting) because this particular process focuses on how you want to feel no matter what is going on around you -a very powerful tool indeed given the potential feelings of collective fear and chaos around us. Through this three step process, we also answer:Why the world needs you to follow your dreams. How to focus on what we can control vs. what we can't control. How to manifest feeling peaceful in our home, even when we feel chaos around us in our home and in our world. How to create Affirmations, Visualizations and tapping into the key ingredient of FEELING. How to bake a chocolate cake. Just kidding. We do use the delicious metaphor of baking a cake. :) www.jaimekomer.com@jaimekomer Plus: Get your free Joyfully Fulfilling Workshop here. ***At time of recording, this podcast was titled Happy Vibes Conversations***
What can we do, say, or feel to trust in our future? What if we knew all the financial abundance, career opportunities and everything else we may be seeking will come? This episode gets into how to trust in our future, shifting our energy through the type of questions we ask, getting to the heart of our desires, focusing on the process (not the end product!), shifting from competition towards collaboration, why we need to focus on being our best and not the best. Yes, this episode is chalk full of powerful questions and perspectives to explore today. Be sure to listen all the way through, we finish off with a question you get to craft for yourself. This question is especially potent for creating the changes you seek as an individual and as a collective. www.jaimekomer.comps: I created a Joyfully Fulfilling workshop for you. Free. Locked out of my new apartment on my first night in Spain, I felt alone, stuck, and unable to force my way through the door. What do I do? Where do I go? Why do I feel stuck in this situation? Ahh, I was meant to learn something in this vulnerable moment. My pride was telling me "No, you can do this on your own." My heart said, "Ask for help. Just ask." In this episode, I share what happens next and the true gems we gain when the door in front of us is not ready to open. I imagine this episode will be especially potent for you if you're wanting to make a big change in your life. You'll hear about the challenges and life lessons I experienced before I was able to make a big move with my family. I also find these tools to be powerful for lifting your energy on a daily basis. I added two journal prompts in this episode for your own self-inquiry and learning.Plus:(Wow, there's more? Yay!) Cultivating comfort with uncertainty. What does it mean to "bloom where we are planted?" How can we look at our life with that sense of adventure we may gain when we travel? How can we cultivate generosity with ourselves? With others?Breaking down a belief that no longer serves you or blocks you from bringing more joy in your life. Two journal prompts to offer reflection and growth. The lessons I gained before making a big move. Can we give ourselves the same generosity we'd give to someone struggling? In gratitude,Jaime Komer :)
In this episode, I share three tools we can stash in our life toolkit to use when we feel a bit stuck, stagnant, indecisive, or simply needing a little extra courage in following our heart! And self-trust is like our magical ingredient for feeling empowered, fulfilled and moving through these stagnant feelings. I LOVE the power of these tools and the deeper awareness they bring. I am using these daily for my self-trust and fulfillment. You'll notice the style of these podcast episodes are similar to my coaching, I ask you questions to reflect on and consider. My intention is to offer you a safe, supportive, and gumption-filled space to try on new ways of being and get to know yourself on a deeper level. What can help us move through emotional or heated moments? How can we feel more flow and ease when we feel emotionally triggered? Let's explore! We reflect on our opportunity of spending more time with ourselves and our home space, since March 2020. We look at emotions as tangible things, like fire, heavy rocks, rain, and sunshine. We explore the effects of flow (or blockages) on our body and mind. We consider how we might shift our flow from the body's state of global warming to one of fluidity, freedom, and fun. We name and play with a handful of tools to navigate our inner storm and bring more flow into our body, mind, and home. And you know what's so cool about this inner work you're doing by listening to this podcast? You are creating the change within you. You are change-making and trailblazing in your own life! www.jaimekomer.comhello@jaimekomer.com***At time of recording, this podcast was titled Happy Vibes Conversations***
Let's talk about feeling inner peace and grounding. What's possible when we feel grounded? What blocks our inner peace? How can we stay rooted in our self-trust and love even when we feel like we're going to be swept away by the storm brewing around us? What is the purpose of the storms we experience in our lives, anyway? In this episode, I share the framework for cultivating inner peace and grounding in the form of nature-inspired metaphors. I ask questions within the episode for you to reflect on. Feel free to journal your responses or simply reflect on them in each moment. This episode is like a special coaching session with just you and me. Thank you for making this for you! :) *The organization I speak of at the beginning of the episode and absolutely adore is RevelEleven Events and Retreats. **Are you feeling inspired by what you hear? How is our breath connected to our energy, daily well-being, physical and emotional health, and stress levels? Let's explore! In this episode, I had the joy of speaking with Dr. Erika Figge, Doctor of Chiropractic, mother, longtime friend and teammate on the USA Women's National Water Polo Team. Right off the bat you'll notice Erika's intentions and gifts go beyond getting you out of pain (which is already a gift in and of itself). I finished this Conversation feeling so inspired knowing we have doctors like Erika who are empowering clients with self-awareness and self-trust. Erika shares her wisdom of the body and candid experience dealing with pain, stress, and the challenges (and solutions) for making time for ourselves. Erika guides us through an impromptu practice for shifting our energy. I felt a shift in my own energy immediately. Thank you, Erika! Two underlying themes you'll hear through our Conversation are: 1) Pain, quality of life and honoring our body's signals: As teammates and elite athletes, we both had intensive hip surgeries. We were taught to deal with the pain and ignore our body's signal...What happens when we ignore these primal signals?2) Moving beyond a lifestyle of being told what to do. Suppressing our emotions, where do they go? We want to change the world, this is what we can do (listen to find out). :) The power of looking at a question from multiple angles, including the pandemic and the civil rights revolution. Tuning inward to our body's sensations when experiencing sadness, grief, anger, and fear. The power of "Feeling All the Feels" and "Dropping In." The gift of finding moments of quiet.
