There comes a time in your healing journey when it's time for energy work. Healing happens in stages. In the beginning, you want to talk about why you have dirty dishes in the sink. You want to analyze and understand. Next, you figure out how to remove and clean said dishes. Then, comes the invisible. Even when you cleared your sink, there's still a residue. There's a smell. You can't put your finger on it it but you know it's there. There's something in the drain. Time for energy work. Intentional energy work gets to the core of how your nervous system, your energetic body, and your emotions are all intertwined together. When you understand everything mentally, but rarely work on the emotional intelligence required in your physical body to navigate the frequency and energetic shifts of your healing… you come to a standstill. In 2017 and 2018 I was one of the first in Southern California to receive grant funding from the state of California to implement holistic healing art programs in clinical populations. I was able to put in programming at women's shelters, veterans legions, low income schools, and recovery centers. This work was a pivotal moment where breathwork, Sound healing, and meditation practices were just seeing their ways into a non-aesthetic wellness space. The same things keep showing up in different fonts until you finally choose YOURSELF with love and compassion. Understand that others can only meet you as deeply as they can meet themselves. I did 100 days of breathwork and here's what happened… On Jan 1, I invited my online community to practice 77 Flow, where we did 7 mins of breathwork for 77 days to create ease and flow from within instead of the rigid goals that come with the calendar new year. On the spring equinox, we wrapped up our 77 days, but many of us kept going! What we found about ourselves through a consistent daily (only 7 mins) practice was humbling, tender, and powerful. We kept connected through group channel, recognize what this very personal practice was showing for each of us.
