Ever feel bombarded by conflicting health advice online? From raw carrot salads supposedly detoxing estrogen to cold plunges magically melting fat, Dr. Jules cuts through the noise with science-based clarity in this eye-opening episode. We're living in an era where everyone with a social media account claims expertise in hormones, detoxification, and biohacking. But there's a vast difference between what sounds scientific and what actually holds up under scrutiny. Dr. Jules delivers three powerful thinking tools that will transform how you evaluate health claims: understanding that mechanism doesn't equal meaningful outcome, recognizing that anecdotes aren't evidence, and acknowledging that short-term hype rarely translates to long-term health. The episode systematically examines trending wellness fads including hormone-balancing smoothies, chlorophyll water, mouth taping, and cold plunging — revealing what limited evidence exists behind the marketing hype. You'll learn to recognize how wellness influencers misuse scientific concepts, cherry-pick studies, and exploit mechanisms that sound impressive but deliver minimal real-world benefits. Most importantly, Dr. Jules emphasizes that while you're chasing trendy biohacks, you might be neglecting the fundamentals that deliver exponentially greater health benefits: quality sleep, stress management, exercise, plant-forward nutrition, social connection, and avoiding toxins.Whether you've been curious about the latest TikTok health trend or simply want to become more discerning about health information, this episode provides a practical framework for critical thinking. Andrew Humberman BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Andrew Huberman has had a week that perfectly captured the duality of modern scientific fame: high-profile media appearances, a burst of personal life revelations, and some spirited sparring over health trends. Just last night, he appeared on HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher, fielding pointed questions about the rise of weight-loss drugs like Ozempic. Huberman didn't mince words, telling Bill and the panel that the explosion of these drugs proves the “laws of thermodynamics” still rule – eat more than you burn and weight goes up, drugs or not. This soundbite ricocheted around social media, igniting debates among health influencers and everyday fans alike, with many praising his clear-cut approach to a messy topic, while others criticized what they called an oversimplification. The appearance also saw him dive into cultural standards of beauty and their shifting scientific and social underpinnings, giving armchair analysts and wellness fans plenty to chew on. His straight talk on national television has real staying power, but it isn't only his opinions making headlines. According to enter.wenningstrength.com, a story that gained significant attention this week claims new details about Huberman's girlfriend have surfaced. While Huberman himself maintains his signature privacy, and official channels have not confirmed the relationship, the story hints at his companion being a successful professional in her own right, and social media has been abuzz with speculation about her identity and background. Admirers and critics are equally fixated, some lauding his ability to keep a boundary between professional credibility and private life, others poring over photos and clues for confirmation. This story has generated thousands of comments on Instagram and X, even spawning a handful of viral reaction videos and memes theorizing about her identity and influence on his work.Huberman's professional brand continues to expand. His recent discussions haven't just been about health and neuroscience – several business intelligence newsletters picked up his Bill Maher remarks, noting that his blend of science communication and media savvy continues to grow his commercial reach, especially for his podcast, Huberman Lab. The podcast is still ranking near the top in wellness charts, fueled in part by the publicity wave from TV appearances and the renewed intrigue over his personal life. This blend of public candor, privacy, and high-visibility sidesteps has cemented Andrew Huberman's image as a neuroscience superstar who moves markets, shapes online debates, and keeps audiences guessing. No negative headlines or controversies have emerged in the past few days, just the buzz of a personality who has mastered both the science and spectacle of twenty-first-century fame.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta

In the big wide world of health and wellness, there is always a buzzword du jour. In the past couple months, you've likely heard buzz about gut health and GLP-1s, ingredients like creatine and colostrum, and, of course, protein. For many of these trends, Arrae, the supplement brand co-founded by Siffat "Siff" Haider and her husband, Nishant Samantray, has been right there, answering consumer demand with a product featuring that of-the-moment ingredient or speaking to a top-of-mind concern. Wellness is Haider's passion and something she enjoys thinking about constantly, she said, both to live her best life and to get ahead of the zeitgeist for the brand. She also has a built-in focus group via her online community of 117,000 Instagram followers. Her podcast, "The Dream Bigger Podcast" — where she focuses on business, beauty and wellness — has another 38,000 Instagram followers. Arrae, meanwhile, has 222,000 Instagram followers. On June 12, the brand introduced its first protein product, Clear Protein+. A box of 20 single-use sachets is $55, without a subscription. The protein is raspberry yuzu flavor, which Haider likens to a "raspberry refresher." In addition to its hero ingredient, hydrolyzed whey protein, it includes electrolytes and collagen peptides. In this episode of the Glossy Beauty Podcast (16:50), Haider chats with Glossy senior reporter Sara Spruch-Feiner about how she stays on top of wellness's next big things, how she knew creatine was going to have a big moment and what's special about Arrae's latest launch. But first, co-hosts Lexy Lebsack and Emily Jensen discuss some of the week's biggest beauty news, including Unilever's acquisition of the buzzy men's grooming brand Dr. Squatch, which recently made headlines for selling soap infused with Sydney Sweeney's bathwater. They also touch on Glossier's search for a new CEO, as current chief Kyle Leahy is set to step down at the end of the year, and Dossier's expansion into brick-and-mortar retail.
From celery juice cleanses to infrared saunas and biohacking everything—wellness trends are everywhere. But how much of it is actually backed by science, and how much is just clever marketing? On today's episode, we sit down with Dr. Carrie of Benessair Health to discuss some of the most popular health and wellness fads making the rounds today. With expert insights and a no-nonsense approach, we separate fact from fiction so you can make informed decisions about what's really worth your time (and money). BACKGROUND: Dr. Carrie Bordinko is a Board-Certified Internal Medicine physician. She has cultivated a reputation for her unwavering dedication to patient well-being and her comprehensive approach to healthcare management. Her career spans years of experience as an ER physician, ICU physician, medical director for insurance and director of hospice care. All of this experience has led to her creating the unique evidence-based environment of Benessair Health and Consolaré as a testimonial to her vision and beliefs. She lives by what she advocates maintaining a regimen of fitness, nutrition and moderation. While her free time is limited, she still finds time for philanthropic work, short adventures, cooking, scuba diving and any fitness challenge she can dream up. Because of this combination, she remains ageless and a role model for all who meet her. benessair.com Instagram: benessair SUBSCRIBE TO ICONIC HOUR If you enjoyed today's podcast, I'd be so appreciative if you'd take two minutes to subscribe, rate and review ICONIC HOUR. Whether it’s a juice cleanse, miracle pill, detox tea, or weight-loss hack, it seems like every week a new food and wellness trend pops up with the promise of helping us achieve maximum results. For this final episode of this year's January Jumpstart series, we’re exploring a healthy approach to nutrition and unpacking popular wellness trends with expert guidance. Dr. Whitney Trotter and Angela Goens are registered dieticians and co-leaders of the BIPOC Eating Disorders conference. During our conversation, we discuss popular food and wellness trends, including the rise of GLP-1s like Ozempic. They also explore the differences between disordered and intuitive eating, offer strategies for deciding which food trends are worth following and share insights on meaningful conversations you can have with a dietitian, a nutritionist, or with yourself about nutrition.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
