WELCOME BACK! We hear it all the time: “Show up for yourself.” But what does that really mean? In today's episode, I'm diving into one of the most powerful — and overlooked — forms of healing: learning to consistently show up for you. Because healing isn't just about forgiving the past or raising your vibe. It's about how you act when no one's watching. It's how you love yourself in real-time — emotionally, physically, energetically, and spiritually… and how this changes everything in your manifestation journey, your soul's growth, and your ability to actually hold the life you're calling in. This is real. This is raw. And this is your spiritual assignment.

If you've ever found yourself hurt, frustrated, or emotionally drained because someone didn't do what you thought they should—especially after you asked—this episode is for you. In this conversation, I'm talking about a powerful concept I use with my clients all the time, called “the manual.” It's the invisible rulebook we write in our minds about how other people should behave and what their actions (or lack of action) mean about us. But here's the catch: no one else has a copy of that manual. And when people don't follow our unspoken rules, we end up making it mean something painful—like “they don't care,” or “they don't love me.” That pain builds up, and it affects our emotional and physical health, especially when we're healing after something as life-changing as breast cancer. So in this episode, I'm sharing how to spot when you're living by a manual, how to burn it, and how to replace it with something far more powerful: clear, loving boundaries that support your peace and your healing.
We're switching gears this week! No guests, no webinars, just Nick and Michael reflecting on what it means to lead well when things slow down. After a packed few months of interviews, webinars, and travel, the guys are stepping back to share personal stories from their own summer reset, including an 8-day, 3,000-mile camping trip to Maine, a deep dive into instrument flight training, and a very real conversation about burnout, balance, and what the “slow season” actually means for urgent care leaders. This episode is a reminder that growth doesn't always happen in the grind. Sometimes, it's in the margin. And whether you're flying, driving, or just staying home, taking a break might be the best thing you do for your team, and yourself, this summer.

In this episode of Don't Waste the Chaos, host Kerri Roberts tackles a topic that rarely makes it into leadership conversations—but one that can wreak havoc on your organization if ignored: reverse bullying. We often associate workplace bullying with leaders mistreating employees, but what happens when it's the other way around? Kerri brings personal insight, legal case studies, and real-world strategies to explore how subordinates can intimidate, manipulate, and undermine their managers—creating what she calls an “internal hostage situation.”Drawing from her own experience as a bullied executive, Kerri unpacks the warning signs of reverse bullying, the damage it can cause to your business, and how to take decisive action with clarity and confidence. She also dives into two international court cases—the Laura Hindel case and the Ruffley v. Board of Management of St. Anne's School case—to reveal how reverse bullying and flawed management processes are being scrutinized and defined in the legal world. The key takeaway? Leaders can be bullied too—and they deserve protection and support.

Journey Church Sunday Worship Gathering Audio - Bozeman, Montana
Bob Schwahn | Lead Pastor | February 18, 2024 11am Romans 2:1-4 (NIV)You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things. Now we know that God’s judgment against those who do such things is based on truth. So when you, a mere human being, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God’s judgment? Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance? Matthew 7:1-5 (NIV) Romans 2:5-11 (NIV) 1 John 4:18 (NIV)There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. Romans 2:12-16 (NIV) Romans 8:1 (NIV)Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, “There are but two objects that I have ever desired … to behold; the one, is my own vileness; and the other is, the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ: and I have always thought that they should be viewed together.” — Charles Simeon Reflection Questions: Read Romans 2:1-16What was one thing that grabbed your attention from the sermon?Where do you find yourself standing in judgment over the sin of other people? What makes you shake your head at the culture around you? What is the meaning of the word judgment in the Bible? Does this mean we don’t evaluate good and evil? Why or why not?How would you evaluate the often used statement, “Love the sinner, hate their sin.”? According to Paul in this text, what might be some problems with this statement? Bob suggested in his sermon we would be better to say, “Love the sinner, hate our own sin.” Do you agree or disagree?Read Romans 8:1. How does it make you feel that when we are in Christ (saving faith in Him) there is absolutely NO condemnation? Have you experienced the joy/freedom/gratitude that this truth produces? Why or why not?Read Romans 2:5-11. What in this section does Paul say that seems to counter the gospel message that our salvation is based only on our faith in Christ? How do you explain this seeming contradiction? If you truly believed that obedience to the commands of Jesus were in your best interest, what step of obedience would you take? What steps of obedience are you hesitant to take? Why are you hesitant? What evidence do you see in the world that people inherently have at least some sense of right and wrong? (Even if they don’t know God or His commands.)Think about the illustration of the invisible recorder from the sermon. What are moral judgments that you make that you have violated yourself? From this text and sermon… What do you sense God is SAYING to you? (Hear) What are you going to DO about that? You're heading off on vacation. You're cramming to get things done before you go. For good measure, you check out the wifi speed in your hotel room, and you pack your laptop. Just. In. Case. But should you ‘unplug' while you're away? Or does it make more sense to fit some work in during your vacation? Many business owners say it's difficult to detach from work when they're supposed to be relaxing, and that's true for me. Even in Vacation Mode, I cannot help but develop marketing strategies and brainstorm new ideas while lying on the beach or running in a new city. I personally rarely unplug totally. But I also no longer get down on myself for not being totally unplugged. Whether I have the iPad ad the beach under an umbrella, or I pull up my computer poolside to write some copy… I don't beat myself up. I know it's part of my process and that I create some of my best content and do my best planning when I mix up rest and relaxation with some brainstorming and work. We had a vibrant conversation on our Facebook Page and across all our social networks when I recently shared my thoughts about unplugging with our HerBusiness community. In this episode, I share some of our member strategies and my top six tips for balancing being away with staying on track with your business plans and goals. Listen to Hear: -> What to do if you can't totally ‘unplug' without getting behind on projects -> The parameters that I set myself to reward myself and manage a balance between work and play while I'm away -> How I pre-plan my vacation, so there is little for me to do while I'm travelling. -> Why taking time to unwind will take the pressure off from the get-go. -> The ‘unplugging' hack that enriches your vacation experience and gives you a much-needed break -> How to communicate that you'll be away, so you don't return to a crazy-full email inbox. -> The only ‘should' that matters as you manage your vacation/work balance. I'm so grateful to have the opportunity to step away from my business every once in a while to get that headspace that allows me to dream bigger and think differently. I'd love you to join me to give yourself the time and space to dream, envision, plan, reset and REACH into a bigger, more fulfilling, more aligned and authentic future filled with all the possibilities of your heart's desire. This week Carla Wilmaris is back with recurring guest, Paola and a special guest, Mac “The Therapist”. We get deep this week, so grab some wine, a notebook, some tissues, whatever you need because we are going right into it. We are talking about Narcissism. We started the conversation with statistics and how 1 in every 16 Americans has been affected by someone with NPD, then broke down the differences between traits and the disorder. We went down the rabbit hole, and all I can say is buckle up, this is part one to a very necessary conversation we needed to have. What You'll Hear: What is Narcissism? Or Narcissistic Personality disorder (NPD). How the rise of social media is feeding into the pandemic of narcissism A narcissistic individual is the opposite of authenticity, they are not able to see what they do to other people 80% of males show narcissistic traits Is it genetic or caused by upbringing? Nature vs. nurture Empathy is the ability to feel for others, narcissist can rationalize empathy- from the mouth out We now found a language for the term; people have been abused for years and now we have the words for it all The social media boom is breeding narcissistic tendencies The difference between traits and the disorder Plus, much more… Quote/ Bible verse for this week: Isaiah 61:1- “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because God has anointed me to bring good news to the poor… to bind up the brokenhearted. What Happened at Three O'clock? On the afternoon of Divine Mercy Sunday, we hear the Gospel of Good Friday! That is very curious! Yet this specific Gospel has much to teach us about this day . . . Divine Mercy Sunday. We hear in St. Matthew's Gospel about the darkness that settled over the Earth. It is common in Divine Mercy devotion that three o'clock is the hour of mercy. What happened at Three O'clock? Much happens at 3 o'clock. At that hour, St. Matthew tells us, that the Lord cries out . . . My God, My God . . . Why Have You Forsaken Me? When Jesus cries out . . . He does not look toward heaven and cry about His own personal pain! No! He does so to fulfill a line within the Psalms. Here more in this Homily. At this hour He surrenders His Spirit . . . to save us! When He surrenders His Spirit . . . the sun shines again! There is darkness when He suffers on The Cross, but as He dies . . . the sun shines. Amazingly, when He dies, the world would normally think of the darkness of the grave . . . it becomes light. Darkness dissipates. The sun did not shine during the darkness of the Passion. Now it becomes light! It is the first note anticipating the resurrection. At 3 o'clock . . . when there is light . . . the earth trembles. It shakes. Hear What else happens at three o'clock! Listen to this Meditation Media.
