"It Felt Different." This was a line that we've heard a lot lately, and hopefully you have also felt this different feeling. Bill Guerin joins the pod to help put a bow on the season, and in classic Billy fashion, he did just that. How else might one wrap a HARD season, but with a quick screening of the cinematic genius that is Strange Brew! Billy talks about his feelings while watching the Stanley Cup Playoffs, how this season felt different, how proud he is of the team for continually battling, and how he is going into the biggest summer of his tenure with the Minnesota Wild. Can we crack the mold of Minnesota sports culture, shift expectations, and build a real winning attitude? We are getting there one podcast at a time. Ryan Carter and John King are joined by the voice of Wild Radio, Joe O'Donnell to break down game 6. The Minnesota Wild have been beaten by the Vegas Golden Knights in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, but the reality is, this season felt different. Not only did the team battle through adversity through the entire season and seemed to maintain, if not excel in areas without huge pieces of their team missing, but they entered the playoffs and carried themselves with a bit more experience than we are used to seeing. Give it a listen, and head into the off season with more experience than you had last year, and get ready, because next fall will be here faster than you think.  A season finale will drop next week.

After further review, we'd rather not have any more reviews, but the truth is, we still have a game 6. Ryan Carter hot off the team plane from Vegas, burns into the studio to catch up with John King, and our playoff staple Wild Radio Joe O'Donnell joins us for a quick breakdown of game 5, and then all eyes on game 6. Much like the narrative of the last few podcasts, the guys really lean into the fact that the past is the past, even if we're talking about last night. The series is coming back to the State of Hockey, and Wild Joe Radio has a vision. We might have teased the bingo card for these shows, but this is next level. Listen up, break the mold, and change the narrative. Boldy's dog was not kicked...it's a figure of speech folks, but let's hope he still plays like it was.

No Sunday scaries here on the Game 4 Recap! Ryan Carter and John King are joined by Wild Radio host Joe O'Donnell for a recap of Round 1 Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The guys break down the playoff narratives, talk about having the expectation to win, how the Minnesota fan base doesn't know what that means yet, and how WE ALL NEED TO BREAK THE MOLD. They also lean into the truths that are all right in front of us, that history doesn't matter in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, that Marcus Foligno deletes people, that Trenin is stepping up big, Decausemaker is crushing the anthems, and that we need to be done with the Minnesota sports mentality. These guys are going to prove it.

Xcel Energy Center was absolutely rocking last night, in part kickstarted by Lake City royalty, Minnesota Frost Superstar, and recent World Champion, Taylor Heise with a strong "Let's Play Hockey" call. King and Carts are back in studio at TRIA Rink breaking down game 3 alongside Wild Radio host Joe O'Donnell, and are joined late in the show by Taylor. They all share amazing insight on playoff mentality, goaltending, momentum, belief and more. The Minnesota Wild are heading home with a split of the first two games of round one, with a huge win last night in the desert. King is holding down the studio at TRIA Rink, and Carts and Joe join remotely for a full breakdown of game 2. They talk SAUCE, they talk hits, they talk playoff hockey, bets, and more, and it's all coming back to Saint Paul on Thursday night. Do you have your tickets yet? It's the postseason, but… it doesn't quite feel like a playoff series yet — at least not the way it should. Joining the crew this week is Joe O'Donnell — “Radio Joe” himself — who weighs in on some bad officiating and big hits from the NHL Playoff opener.

A story we've heard for many years, a Cinderella story really, Ryan Carter is on his annual trip to Augusta for Masters week, so he joins us remotely as Kinger holds down the studio as the Wild try to hold down their playoff position. With a huge win against Dallas over the weekend, the Wild maintain a positive outlook, going into the last few games of the season. If you happened to give up all forms of media on Sundays during Lent, you kinda missed a few big things yesterday, and this will be a great show to get you back up to speed. One, Alexander Ovechkin is now the Gr8est goal scorer in the history of hockey, and two, Wild on 7th is approaching their 100th episode, and will celebrate with a live recording at Mall of America on April 17th at 5pm. Carts connects with Kinger remote from Palm Springs, for a brief breakdown of the Gophers unraveling, the buzz around the NCAA hockey tournament, and how the Wild are battling to maintain playoff position. Tourney week is over, but the tourney hangover is not! Carts joins us remote from FLA, and King carries the studio on his back as they breakdown an absolutely amazing week of hockey in Saint Paul! The relatively quiet Minnesota Wild have remained as such during their early game on Sunday, for likely the last time Sid and Geno face-off against their old pal Flower, but they head into a busy remainder of March here at Xcel Energy Center! In what feels like a series of back to back games at home, the Wild have their work cut out for them as playoffs are looming. Snap into a slimjim this week as you recover from the high school state tourney, and gear up for a bunch more battles at home here in Saint Paul.

The Tourney is on West 7th this week, and all eyes are on Saint Paul as the boys state high school hockey tournament hits the Xcel Energy Center in what is sure to be an electric atmosphere. Carts and King break down some Wild action, expand on the injury report, but dial their focus onto high school hockey with head coach of the Shakopee Sabers, Calvin Simon, and the champion of community hockey, VP of the Minnesota Wild foundation and leader of the Skate it Forward initiative, Mr. Mike Snee. West 7th is going to be buzzing this week, so get in an ice bath and prepare yourself to be entertained. The State of Hockey's biggest stage is set.

Minnesota Wild Head Coach John Hynes is THRIVING in this world of hockey, as the 4-Nations came and went, and the Minnesota Wild are back on the ice as they face the back end of the season heading into the trade deadline. Join us for some amazing insight on the historic USA vs CANADA matchup in Montreal, Hynes' impressions of the Wild players that seemed to dominate roster spots all over the tournament, and now what to expect moving into this week and the start of March. Who's calling the lines? John Hynes is now!

Wild Radio host Joe O'Donnell joins the pod from Boston in a new segment we are calling "Radio from the Road," to discuss the road trip, the special night in Montreal, toasty dogs, and his picks for the big football game approaching this weekend. Carts and King weigh in on shoveling vs snow blowing vs snow removal services, and a Kwik Trip Ice Team member joins the shenanigans. The guys talk hockey and Hartman, in hopes the foreseen sussy isn't too lengthy or too costly. Welcome to a fresh take on Wild on 7th.

King and Carts recap the biggest hockey holiday around, Hockey Day Minnesota, held in Shakopee this year. They break down some of the weekends games, check in with one of the stars from the Alumni game, and Chapstick enthusiast, former Wild goaltender Alex Stalock, and finally get to the meat of the week, with a FANalyst check-in with veteran beer leaguer "Rat."

Carts and King catch up with our favorite Austrian, #23 Marco Rossi, before he catches a plane to Smashville. The guys introduce Marco to the American version of strudel, to a lack luster review, but they heat up another for his ride share driver. The Minnesota Wild are surviving instead of thriving, but come out fighting in Nashville, and pick up some points in Denver. The Alberta Shaman, #15 Mason Shaw signs his NHL ticket after recovering from his 4th ACL surgery and rejoins his favorite pod squad. Minnesota Wild forward #89 Freddy Freddy Gaudreau drops by to talk all things Quebec and his home town of Bromont, the mountains, the maple syrup, and some big moments throughout his career.
