We started off the show with a mystery. Ally has superhuman smell since she's pregnant, and a new offputting smell made its way into the studio. Surprisingly, it wasn't Jake. It led to an impromptu blind smell test where Ally smelled each and every member of the show, and the culprit will surprise you. What's the right end of year gift for a teacher? Klein gave his kids' teachers an elaborate gift before giving them awkward hugs and yelling "HAGS" at them. It didn't go well. We heard stories of your least impressive awards, which included a 'work life balance' award, a 'best answer & participation' award, and a man who received a bucket of lobsters for 'clawing his way to the top' of the sales team. We heard even MORE audio of Vanessa at pride, and once more we got additional sound bites. Thank you ladies and gentleman!

See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
From a 24-hour hangover and the pure joy of a clean garage to campaigning for the return of the mixtape (Spotify playlists just aren't the same), Wells is showing his age again in today's episode. And after weeks of YFTers begging, Brandi FINALLY started Off Campus! The excitement continues as Wells shares that he got to film his golf show with the legendary Luke Wilson, where he discovers Luke's favorite Wes Anderson movie (not the one you'd expect) but somehow forgets to ask about The Family Stone. A devastating fumble. Meanwhile, Brandi spends her week h anging with all the dogs at Wags & Walks and accidentally spills the tea on a secret Cyrus family pet (and it's not the tortoise or the ducks!). Plus, they discuss the deeply upsetting Netflix documentary The Crash, the never-ending Murdoch family drama, and a book recommendation featuring aliens and a cat named Princess Donut. We talked to Gina from the SPCA about this great event.
Oooooh y'all are gonna love this episode so much! Jess Medland is here, and she talks us through carving out her unique path in a non-traditional way, being a woman in motorsport (what, like it's hard?), what it's like having millions of people watching your work, wanting to be special, the beautiful chaos behind Martin Brundle's Grid Walk, her viral video calling Oscar Piastri's crash at the Australian GP, having a job that gives you voices in your head, feeling like an alien, not knowing what the F you want to do with your life, and a special tip for torturing your partner LOL.Other topics include Abu Dhabi 2021, the changing media landscape, knowing what audiences care about, our collective obsession with Fred Vasseur, how she champions women in motorsport, what it's like being married to someone who also works in this space, if we're seeing too much of the WAGs, and how having great instincts (and following them) is an integral part of her job.She ditched a SkySports meeting for this, so y'all better listen up!You can see more from Jess on her Instagram.@GirlsJustWanna_F1 on Insta@GirlsJustWannaF1 on TikTok@GirlsWannaF1Pod on TwitterGirlsJustWannaF1@gmail.comAll the LinksThanks for listening!

It's the end of Upfronts week, better known as Hollywood's annual pilgrimage to woo Madison Ave. Formerly about broadcast TV schedules, Upfronts has become a showcase for a much stranger, fragmented TV future: creators, podcasts, live sports, live events, movies, dog shows and, yes, lots of AI, the cringe buzzword of the week (and jeez, sorry, scripted). Elaine Low, Sean McNulty and Natalie Jarvey break down the major themes from Disney, Netflix, WBD and others, including top living room streamer YouTube, whose competing Brandcast cast a long shadow over the festivities — and the choices highlighted on rivals' stages. The gang also crowns the best and worst celeb cameos (Anne Hathaway, Mia Hamm and Matthew Stafford), musical performances (Olivia Rodrigo, Maren Morris and Kacey Musgraves) and, of course, ad pitches. This week on Jam Session, we have special Ringer guest and friend Chris Ryan join the pod while Amanda is away fulfilling her movie-critic duties in Cannes. Next, the two get into some soccer topics, including a wild scandal involving escorts, nitrous oxide, and international soccer players (29:26); Ed Sheeran celebrating Ipswich Town F.C.'s Premier League promotion with a team sing-along (39:57); and some WAGs to watch in the World Cup (42:14). The two end on some book recommendations (48:17).Host: Juliet LitmanGuest: Chris RyanProducers: Jade Whaley and Belle Roman Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

In this Friday Headline Brief of The Wright Report, Bryan delivers a major escalation in the war with Iran as U.S. naval and air forces strike Iranian military targets after the IRGC launched drones, missiles, and fast attack boats at American warships moving through the Strait of Hormuz. He explains how President Trump's Project Freedom is back on after Gulf Arab allies reopened their airspace, reassured by U.S. retaliation and new guarantees of protection against future Iranian attacks. Bryan also breaks down Tehran's latest defiance, including a new agency demanding a $2 million toll in Chinese currency for ships passing through Hormuz, and warns that Iran may be preparing for a long war of attrition with quiet help from China through continued drone and military supply shipments. He also covers a possible domestic energy solution as the White House considers expanding oil drilling on U.S. military bases and federal lands, alongside a sweeping redistricting battle across Louisiana, Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi, and Alabama that could permanently shift House control toward Republicans by 2028. Bryan argues these fights are no longer optional, but central to the survival of the GOP in what he sees as an era of permanent political warfare. Plus, Bryan responds to former President Obama's praise of New York socialist mayor Zohran Mamdani, exposes confirmed manipulation of crime statistics in Washington, D.C., challenges Chief Justice John Roberts' claim that judges are not political actors, and closes with a health update on the hantavirus outbreak tied to a cruise ship from Argentina, explaining why it deserves attention but not panic. It's been a long time in the making and the idea has run through successive governments, but a new law to improve the life of those who rent their home has finally kicked in.Whether it's much-needed or much-feared depends what side of the landlord fence you are on, but what's not in doubt is that the Renters' Rights Act is a massive shake-up.The assured shorthold tenancy system that has been the backbone of renting a home for almost 40 years has been torn up and replaced with rolling contracts that tenants can get out of with two months' notice.Landlords, however, will find it much harder to get their property back, put the rent up, or even turn down pets. So, is this what the rental market needs, or is it likely to backfire as some property experts warn? With decades of experience of renting, covering the property market - and even helping with a family business that's involved in it - Georgie Frost, Helen Crane and Simon Lambert dig into the Renters' Rights Act.Plus, on this episode, the Bank of England held rates but could it really need to raise them three times this year and what's behind the rocketing number of 45p taxpayers and why isn't it Rachel Reeves' fault? And finally, travel experts this week revealed where is still cheap to fly to for summer, so do you fancy a holiday in Cork, Dortmund or that old Wags' favourite Baden-Baden?Follow us on Instagram @dmgnewmedia.Follow us on TikTok @dmgnewmediaFollow us on X @dmgnewmediaEmail us hello@dmgmedia.co.ukText us 020 7938 6000.Hosts: Georgie Frost, Simon Lambert, Lee Boyce, Helen CraneProducer: Georgie Frost Hosted on Acast. This week, Jason is joined by founder of Wags & Walks Nashville, animal welfare advocate, and his girlfriend, Kathryn Hurley!Born and raised in Plymouth, Michigan, Kathryn shares how her passion for animal rescue started early — from working at her family's ice cream shop to dedicating her life to saving dogs. After graduating from Eastern Michigan, she followed her instincts into dog rescue, eventually making the leap to Los Angeles to work with Wags & Walks, where she quickly became a key part of the organization's growth.Kathryn opens up about the financial realities of working in nonprofit — starting out making just $26,000 a year — and the difficult decision to leave for a higher-paying job in sports media, only to return after realizing her true purpose was in rescue. From there, she shares how she built Wags & Walks Nashville from the ground up — starting in her basement, then a storage unit, to now running a full-scale operation with 40+ employees and saving thousands of dogs. She breaks down the business behind animal rescue — from fundraising millions annually just to operate, to the harsh realities of overcrowded shelters, euthanasia rates, and the misconceptions around pit bulls. Kathryn also dives into the medical side of rescue, explaining how organizations like hers step in where the system fails — covering surgeries, saving critically injured dogs, and even reuniting pets with families who otherwise couldn't afford care.Beyond rescue, Kathryn and Jason share the story of how they met — through Wags & Walks — and how their relationship evolved from adopting Teddy to building a life together. They talk about communication, partnership, social media, and what it really takes to build a strong, healthy relationship. From saving dogs to building a nonprofit from scratch, Kathryn gives an honest look at passion, purpose, and what it means to fight for something bigger than yourself.Kathryn reveals all this and so much more in another episode you can't afford to miss!Pebl Pebl is an AI-powered global Human Resources platform built for founders, HR leaders, and operators who are hiring and supporting teams around the world. Spilling the tee… even if things get a little delirious. In this week's episode of Birdie Little Secrets, Kass and Syd are back, no guest this time, just the girls and a whole lot of unfiltered energy. It's chaotic, it's hilarious, and yes… they say "mad" a lot (as in mad funny, mad crazy, mad everything). They break down one of the wildest finishes of the season, from a long-awaited win that had everyone shook to a Sunday slip that totally changed the vibe. There's pressure, there's drama, and there's a final stretch that gets mad intense, plus a jaw-dropping drive you won't believe. Syd also reflects on her tournament pick that was looking so good… until it wasn't, and the girls get into what really went down in those final moments. Let's just say, opinions were shared. Then, they shift gears to the final stop of the Florida Swing, setting the scene for what's coming next, what to watch for, and why this week might be one of the best stops on TOUR. It's a little chaotic, a little sleep-deprived, and very on-brand, basically like you're on FaceTime with your golf-obsessed besties. No guest this week, but don't worry… more tee with the WAGs is coming soon! Tune in now and don't forget to like, subscribe, and follow along @BirdieLittleSecretsPod… because this episode? Yeah… it's mad good.

Co-Host Rob Thomas (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/robthomas) The default setting when trying to resolve dating and relationship issues with women is to talk about it, right? Well, my first-time guest Rob Thomas came to the conclusion that trying to say the right words at the right time was exhausting. Drawing from his day job as a business consultant, he figured out there are very real ways to truly increase rapport and connection without using any words at all. The next thing you know, he wrote a book about that called Wordless Connection. Importantly, its not about wordless communication, per se, but rather about full-on connection. So first off, why is it we often end up speaking a "cloud of euphemisms" when talking to our WAGs? And what can we do instead to create an almost instant connection without saying anything at all? What is the science behind the value of embracing your partner for an exact duration of time? And how does that concept apply directly to eye contact, as well? Does the saying, "watch what she does instead of listening to what she says" have anything to do with this? Is what Rob's talking about here actually a primal desire within us? After all, verbal communication is a relatively new human development. Ironically enough, can words actually distract from deeper connection? What about wordless connection in the bedroom? What is the science behind human touch that can increase your success with women immediately? Have you downloaded Sticking Points Solved? I mean, isn't it unrealistic to get into a relationship thinking everything is always going to be perfect and ideal? That brings up the concept of "macro-disappointments" vs. "micro-disappointments". And what about other couple's Facebook highlight reels that only show the shiny, happy stuff? Is that driving unreasonable disappointment on the part of the rest of us? Is there really such thing as "the seven-year itch", and if so is it more about disappointment or boredom? And hey, wait a minute. Isn't boredom disappointing? Does long-term disappointment usually start right at the beginning of a relationship? Why is that? And what about this business of "spicing up a relationship"? How does that work to ward off potential disappointment? Why is being each other's best friend a magic elixir to cure disappointment? What if what causes disappointment is legitimately beyond the control of the disappointing partner? What if a partner is intentionally disappointing, and expecting to get away with it? Why does being "nice" disappoint WAGs? How do couples put their relationship at blatant risk for disappointment? Why is comfort the enemy of marriage excitement? Finally, what if you're actually IN a deeply disappointing relationship. Now what? And by the way, is it any wonder that Rupert Holmes was a "one hit wonder"?
