With the score at 2-1, Nathan Collins pulled down Bryan Mbeumo inside the box — a challenge that many felt warranted a red card. Bruno Fernandes stepped up, but his four-minute wait while VAR reviewed the incident appeared to rattle him. Caoimhín Kelleher, however, was ice-cool. The Corkman guessed right, palming away Fernandes's effort to swing momentum firmly in Brentford's favour. From there, United pressed for an equaliser but were punished late on as Brentford added a third.
