Morphenomenal! Take a journey with two life long Power Rangers fanatics as they recall and break down iconic episodes of the first season of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
Season 5! We are back. And we are back with some season 1 episodes that we have missed the first time around. In this high octane thrillfest, Jason climbs some rope, Trini is afraid of everything and Billy says words that make your mind hurt. Bill and Joey break down the second episode ever of Power Rangers and get chilled to their BONES.
Joey and Bill climb out from their candy comas to talk about a classic Halloween Ranger episode. Join them as they chat about bobbing for apples in the age of Covid, Tommy and his cringe-ness and naming your kid Karen. There are plenty of treats and maybe a few tricks in this pre-season 5 episode.
In this special episode, Billy and Joey take a break from planning season 5 and take a trip down nostalgia lane with the Netflix one off episode, Power Rangers Once and Always. Does this 30 year anniversery story fall hard on its face or wow us and bring the classic Rangers into the future. Well.... it kind of does both.
When the Power Rangers franchise announced a reboot of the original 5 and a movie was coming out, everyone who loved this fandom was excited. Big names were involved, the budget was bigger and the thought was that they could really do this franchise justice. The product that was delivered wasn't bad by any stretch but it did leave us with a bad taste in our mouths. Bill and Joey have assembled a panel this week to discuss this movie. The 6 person panel, consisting of Bill, Joey, Ryan, Kyle, Eskra and Taylor breakdown this movie in the most hilarious way possible. The season 4 finale is the longest episode of Zords yet and every second is needed to discuss this blockbuster disappointment. Join us on this excursion.
David J. Fielding, the actor who plays the face of Zordon and voiced him for much of Season 1 joins the podcast to talk about his time playing our favorite space wizard. David not only talks about his time with the Rangers, but also his experiences with acting, his upbringing and his future projects as well as his current ones. Bill and Joey ask him all the essential questions, such as who would win a fight between Tommy and Jason?! There are also a few surprises on this rare interview episode of the Zords Pod. Don't miss out!
An episode we never wanted to do. JDF has died and we are mourning him in this episode but also sharing our favorite moments and talking about the amazing life he had and the influence he had on all of us. Bill and Joey are joined by Joe, the co-creator of Zords With Friends, as he returns to share his thoughts on our favorite Ranger. Rest in peace, JDF.
TOMMY IS BACK! He didn't go anywhere but after being neutered all season, he is finally back in the lead with some fun emotions and scenes. Bill and Joey order some “Indigestion Inducers” in this week's episode and try to finish it before it ends. If you like food, you will love this episode featuring the second best food eating monster behind the legendary Pudgy Pig.
Now, it is the REAL end of an era. One of the OG Power Rangers is leaving. Without spoiling, we are sure you can guess who it is and who is replacing them but for the sake of Podcast teases, you will just have to listen to find out! Bill and Joey dig deep into the story of this Power transfer and reflect on the legend that is leaving us.
It is the end of an era… that lasted like 20 some odd episodes? That's right, the Ninja Zords are no more. This three part arc shows how the Rangers get their new Zords and plant some more seeds for the things to come. Bill and Joey pilot the Falconzord on its last flight through Angel Grove and breakdown these fun episodes. Zedd fans will be pleased with these ones.
Here kitty, kitty. After finding a random cat in the park and not taking it for rabie shots or anything, the Rangers find themselves in the middle of Rita and Zedds evil plan involving a girl named Kat who can turn into a cat. It gets hard to follow with all these cats but Bill and Joey break down this two part episode for you. Get you scratching posts ready because Kat is not going anywhere.
It is Christmas time in Angel Grove and everyone is in the holiday spirit except for Zedd… and Bill. Bill does not like Christmas episodes no matter how many times Joey forces him to watch. The Rangers have to save Santa in this episode, and by extension Christmas. It is an episode that will forever lay in Bill's mind as one of the worst. You need to hear what he says about it. THEY DON'T”T EVEN MORPH!
Love is in the air and Rita and Zedd are heading on a second honeymoon. This causes Rito and Goldar to be left in charge, and you can guess how things go there. After zapping most of Angel Grove with a love potion, the baddies realize that Zedd himself is under one! Bill and Joey breakdown this rare episode in which the main plot is a Zedd and Rita story instead of a Ranger story.
It is football season in Angel Grove and the starting Quarterback has bad grades. Who woulda thunk it?! In all fairness, his bad grades are caused by something he can't control and he does seek help to fix that in this week's good feeling moment. But before that, the Rangers line up against the evil Centiback and play the game of their lives to stop the gridiron baddy. Joey and Bill put on their pads and breakdown this nutty sports episode with heavy themes.
You ever wonder what it would be like to switch places with your teacher for a day? No? You would rather stay a kid? Yeah, no shit. This episode that Bill and Joey stumbled upon this week features Rocky and an incredibly stern (and buff) Chemistry teacher switching places for the day. Once Rita and the guys get their hands on the teacher all hell breaks loose. Hope you like liquified ranger juice, because that is a thing here.
This week Joey and Bill turn up the lights and find the power within themselves to talk about this ridiculous episode. Rita and the guys are lantern shopping at Target and nothing matches the upholstery. Luckily, Billy has a friend who collects random lanterns and hangs out in a park. This may be an oversimplification of the plot, but it is pretty accurate nonetheless. Things get wacky.
Bill and Joey return this week to finish off the Ninja Quest arc and they are tired from traipsing through the Desert of Despair. They fought the Tengas, braved the exploding rocks, escaped the quicksand, found the secret entrance, opened the portal, laughed at Ninjor, Scowled at Rito Revolto, piloted the Ninja Zords and returned in time to give you this brand new episode. Ernie, better give them a sandwich after this.
Where were you when you found out the 1995 Power Rangers movie was a LIE?! For us it was when we saw this 4 episode mini-arc. The rangers get their new powers in uninspiring fashion in this new reimagining of the superior blockbuster movie. But hey, at least we got Ninjor! Join Bill and Joey as they thumb through the first 2 episodes of Ninja Quest!
It is always good to go in the backdoor. The season premier of Zords recaps this backdoor pilot of the next Saban show, Masked Rider, and it is just as bad as it sounds. Join Bill and his new Co-host Joey explore this failed attempt to bring together two series. Also, if you have never heard of a Cogwart before, we promise you will be sick of them by the time this episode ends.
The Season 3 Finale is here and it is spectacular. Bill and his returning guest host Eskra tackle the Turbo Movie and all of its campy glory. This is the longest episode of the podcast mainly because the guys go off on this movie. They delve into the renewed rivalry between Jason and Tommy, lament the disaster that is Justin and ogle over Divatox's massive cleavage!
This week, Bill and his guest host Bonnie, aka his WIFE, talk about the season 1 finale of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, An Oyster Stew. This episode features another monster that looks like genitalia and some crazy hijinks with our ranger pals. Love is in the air this week and we are about to get OYSTERIZED!
This week, Bill and his guest host Joey giggle about their shared love for Power Rangers. Joey brings in some great personal stories of his experiences with Power Rangers and some knowledge that even surprises Bill. Ohh... and there is an episode here. It is a Star is Born. It is a pretty terrible episode but the guys make it sound amazing. Stay tuned until the end of the episode to hear some excited news about the future of Zords with Friends!
No joking, this weeks episode, Enter The Lizzinator, is Bill's favorite episode in the history of this podcast. He was so excited to review it, he brought back Nattie as a guest host and the two of them went bonkers on this one. Jason tries to punch a car. That is the only episode description that needs to be communicated. Get ready for this INSANE episode. JASON TRIES TO PUNCH A CAR!
This episode is all about teamwork... and PAMANGOS?!!??? Two podcasters are always better than one, so this week Bill brings in his friend Paige to break down the nutty episode Two Heads are Better Than One. They discuss 90's moms, tropical fruit and more in one of the more mature rated episodes of Zords. Bring some earmuff for the kids!
What do jellyfish and time capsules have in common? Absolutely nothing. Perfect for a Power Ranger episode. Steph joins Bill this week to guest host and talk about the underrated episode, Reign of the Jellyfish. They break down all the good parts of the episode, including the Rangers choices for time capsule items, Bulk and Skull's culinary prowess and why a simple, possibly Photoshopped picture, is driving Rita CRAZY!
What is your recurring nightmare? This week, we find out what the Rangers are most afraid of in the highly unusual episode, The Crystal of Nightmares. Chris joins Bill this week to break down this episode and talk about how silly it is that the Rangers can be scared into ineptitude. They also question if liver and onions is a nutritious meal for a kid, if boy pillow fights are common where they are from and they drool over a sleepy shirtless Jason.
This week, we welcome back two podcast guests. Alexi returns to co-host and the pudgy pig returns to Terrorize Angel Grove. But is he in love this time? Alexi and Bill break down A Pig Surprise and ask the tough questions like: are pigs cannibals, are Bulk and Skull good parents and what is Rita's true ultimate goal? Get your pet with you for this one.
NOT THE GOONEY BIRD EGGS! Bill and his guest host Eskra, try to figure out what a Gooney Bird egg is in this week's episode, The Yolks on You. They mention how Putties should have a rank system and Eskra gives an in-depth description of his favorite way to eat eggs. Also, the guys ask the serious question… did Jason slap Mr. Caplan's ass?
CLOWNS! Clowns are everywhere in this week's episode, No Clowning Around, and instead of being scared of them Bill and his guest host Nattie are just confused as to why anyone wants to hang out with them. They also tackle the physics of pouring water on cardboard, what a pineapple actually looks like and why Sylvie always addresses Trini as COUSIN TRINI!
This week, Bill and his guest host, Alexi, tackle Birthdays. Find out why Kimberly is terrible at lying, why Ernie needs to stop mumbling and the correct way to pronounce Trini. They also fanboy/fangirl extensively over one of the best early Ranger villains, the Nasty Knight!
Zords is back with some changes! Bill and his guest host, Taylor, break down I, Eye Guy and the classic Ranger monster, Eye Guy. They also talk about what quite possibly is the most impressive science fair of all time, secret handshakes and fake German accents. Things get weird fast this week.
HAIL LORD ZEDD! There have never been 3 more frightening words in the English language. Zedd is putting all the people of Angel Grove under a brainwashing spell, and they must have got the guys at Zords Pod because they had to review this episode. Find out how our guys break the spell this week on ZORDS with FRIENDS.
The White Ranger has always been the most popular and most loved Ranger of the Mighty Morphin' era. The guys break down why that is while discussing his first appearance in the season 2 episode: White Light. They also try to figure out what Skull's dad does for a living, why Tommy likes to swim in random lakes and what the deal is with Ernie and cakes. WHITE RANGER TIGER POWER!
Tommy! No! The Green Ranger is no more. The guys breakdown the iconic two-parter, Green No More and reflect on all that Tommy has given us as the Green Ranger. Also, why are our heroes squaring off against Superbowl MVP Patrick Mahomes? Why is Kimberly collecting seashells at a lake? And is Alpha 5 sending the media press releases during monster fights?
Girl power is on full display this holiday week. The guys break down Bloom of Doom and talk about some of the more peculiar aspects of this empowering episode. Also, why is cacti such a great word to say? Does Trini use a protractor when calculating angles? And, why does Ernie keep giving our heroes such bad advice? The guys also break down the Christmas themed one-off: Alpha's Magical Christmas. You will not want to miss this!
Putties! Everywhere! The mindless minions take center stage in this week's episode of Zords. The guys review "Putty on the Brain" and ask why the putties wear knee pads. Also, did Billy invent an object that is used everywhere in real life today? And is Jason now a spin-kicking master?!
This week on Zords With Friends... Are Bulk and Skull making a podcast? What does de-ionization mean? And why does Jason want to fight Trini? The boys break down The Wanna-Be Ranger from Season 2 and find out what it is really like to have a doppelganger.
In the Season 2 premiere, the guys can't get enough of Bulk & Skulls 80's hairband outfits while reviewing all 3 parts of The Mutiny. They reflect on Zedd's first appearance and how impactful it was for the show. They also debate how permanent toupees work, discuss why the new putties are worse than the old ones and try their hardest not to laugh at Jason's new earring. BACK TO ACTION!
It's a season finale and silver-screen special rolled into one when Bill & Joe revisit the skydiving highs and head-scratching lows of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers: The Movie. The fellas share their own memories of the big time flick, including how one of them was a bit spooked by Ivan Ooze. Also, sup Dulcea?

The fellas break down the tape and analyze all the plays from this ridiculous episode. Season one's penultimate episode is here as the guys review "Football Season" and prepare for the grand finale.
There are a ton of tricks and even a few treats in the newest episode of Zords. Is the world's most famous game show filmed in a garage? Why are standards and practice employees confiscating cars? And what songs by Will Smith can the fellas rap off the top of their heads? Gather around squash lovers because the boys are reviewing "Trick or Treat."

This week the fellas find out what icthyophobia means, and how to pronounce it. Also, why does Trini never have anything to do, why is goo such a funny word, and where do the Rangers store their power-weapons when they aren't using them? The guys "tackle" all these topics and "cast" even more content your way in their review of "Something Fishy."
Did you wear sunglasses on July 4th? If so, you may have been considered an evil clone of yourself. At least that is what the fellas learned in this week's episode. Also, where does shaving cream rank on the prank scale, what John Hughes film did this episode remind the boys of and why can there never be enough Bulk & Skull? Bill and Joe tackle all of this in their review of "A Bad Reflection On You."
Summer has arrived and we're heading to the beach in our 10th episode! This week, Bill and Joe take a hard look at "The Rockstar." Plus, an innocent chat about pizza concoctions leads to a food challenge you won't want to miss.
It may be the first weekend of summer but we are celebrating Halloween in this week's new episode. Bill and Joe break down "Life's A Masquerade," critique the questionable costume of at least one Ranger, and discuss the subtlety of detective work. The fellas also break down last week's Mighty Morphin' Power Poll.
What's the key to shutting down Zach's offense? What is with all of the turtle trashing? Plus, the fellas chose another episode without the Megazord - what were they thinking?! Bill and Joe try not to talk about sports too much in this basketball heavy episode of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers - The Trouble With Shellshock.
Is it the evil spell that makes Tommy's zingers sting? Is Zordon actually omnipotent? How do Bulk and Skull always get into a bus-load of trouble? Bill and Joe put a green bow on the Green With Evil miniseries and try not to fawn too hard over the Dragonzord in this week's episode.
It’s a three for one deal in Episode VI when Bill and Joe tackle part 1 of the Green with Evil miniseries. The guys break down season 1, episodes 17, 18 & 19 and try their best not to get distracted by Tommy’s Aquaman-esque tank top. Maybe it was the evil that made him dress this way? Bill and Joe also weigh in on spin kicks, the budding Jason/Tommy rivalry and the effectiveness of garbage can lids as a weapon.
This week the boys can't contain themselves over Jason's outfit. Do cheese souffle's get cooked in the microwave? And what do you get when you cross a Power Ranger's episode with one of the most beloved Disney animated movies of all time? Bill and Joe dive deep into episode 16: Switching Places.
Do you need physical maps to fly a plane? They don't think so, but they were very wrong about potions, so who knows. Also, what do apples have to do with snakes?
