El escritor Tomás Casal Pita fue el protagonista en los micrófonos de RadioVoz con la presentación de su nuevo libro: “El tranvía de Ferrol a Neda. Primera parte 1890-1939”. La obra, que ya fue presentada la semana pasada en Neda, rescata un episodio poco conocido de la historia del transporte en la comarca de Ferrolterra. Casal Pita explicó que el libro es el fruto de un riguroso trabajo de investigación que se apoya en prensa histórica y documentación de archivos oficiales. Publicado por la editorial Toxosoutos, el libro incluye también imágenes de la época, ilustraciones del artista Julio Ferrín, y una copia reducida del plano original del primer proyecto de tranvía, fechado en el año 1900. Una de las anécdotas más destacadas que recoge la obra es que el tranvía nunca llegó a ser inaugurado oficialmente. Comenzó a funcionar en pruebas y por tramos en 1924, sin contar con el permiso de circulación. El autor explicó también cómo la falta de interés empresarial impidió ampliar la línea desde O Portazgo hasta Santa María. El libro ya está disponible en librerías de la comarca y promete convertirse en una referencia clave para los amantes de la historia local y del patrimonio ferroviario gallego

When Erev Pesah occurs on Shabbat, we burn the Hames on Friday morning (as opposed to ordinary years, when we burn the Hames on the morning of Erev Pesah). The Shulhan Aruch (Orah Haim 444) rules that in such a case, one must ensure to leave some bread for the Shabbat meals. As Hames does not become forbidden until several hours into the day on Shabbat morning, one is obligated to partake of bread as part of his Shabbat meals – as on a normal Shabbat – both on Friday night and Shabbat morning. At the same time, however, one must ensure not to save more Hames than he will need for his Shabbat meals, as this might create some difficulty in terms of ridding the home of Hames by the time the Hames prohibition takes effect on Shabbat morning. The meals eaten on this Shabbat should be completely Kosher for Pesah; the food should be prepared, served and eaten with Pesah utensils. However, at the beginning of the meal, one should cover the table with a tablecloth, recite Ha'mosi and eat bread to fulfill the obligation of the Shabbat meal. It is preferable to use Pita bread, which generally does not leave crumbs. After one eats the required amount of bread, he should carefully remove the tablecloth so that no crumbs fall to the floor, and then discard the tablecloth. It must be emphasized that although technically speaking the presence of small crumbs may not violate the Hames prohibition, one should nevertheless avoid leaving crumbs out of consideration to the wife, who exerted immense effort cleaning the home for Pesah. After removing the tablecloth used for eating bread, one should then set the table with Pesah utensils and eat the rest of the meal. This procedure should be followed on Shabbat morning, as well. In order to ensure to eat bread before the time Hames becomes forbidden, one should recite the morning prayers early Shabbat morning. It is therefore customary for services to be held in the synagogue very early on Shabbat Erev Pesah, either at sunrise or shortly thereafter. Upon completing the Shabbat morning meal, one should rinse his mouth to remove any residual Hames; according to some authorities, it is permissible to brush one's teeth on Shabbat, while other Rabbis forbid doing so. Any leftover Hames should be either flushed away or brought outside to the trash, at which point one should recite the "Kal Hamira" declaration as it is normally recited on Erev Pesah.

Bueno, del todavía asteroide, porque meteorito es cuando ya atraviesa la atmósfera", explicó Pita para diferenciar ambos conceptos."Ha sido una noticia que yo creo que ha llegado a mucha gente. Que hay un asteroide circulando que amenaza con impactar en la Tierra el 22 de diciembre de 2032", indicó Pita antes de fijarse en un dato que "me ha llamado la atención, desde el otro día que lo comenté contigo, que la probabilidad ha pasado del 1,2 al 2,3 %"."Todavía la probabilidad de que impacte es baja. El faro romano de la Torre de Hércules, el más antiguo del mundo en funcionamiento, es una buena metáfora del carácter de esta ciudad. A Coruña se honra en afirmar que nadie en ella es forastero. Su luz lleva dos mil años guiando a atribulados marineros hasta la seguridad del puerto resguardado en su ría: los coruñeses saben recibir al viajero. En este caso es una navegante, la campeona olímpica de vela Sofía Toro, la encargada de mostrarnos el frente oceánico, completamente perfilado por el paseo marítimo más largo de Europa. Desde el mirador del Monte de San Pedro hacemos una foto de conjunto de la península rocosa donde se asienta la población antes de iniciar una gran caminata que nos permite descubrir tres playas urbanas (Riazor, Orzán y Matadero), además de los puertos deportivos y algunos museos científicos. En el Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología (MUNCYT) nos espera la directora de su sede coruñesa, Marina Martínez. También hacemos parada en la casa museo de Emilia Pardo Bazán, donde Marilar Aleixandre, académica de la Real Academia Galega, nos invita a viajar a Marineda, alter ego de A Coruña en la obra de esta escritora naturalista. Por supuesto, subimos a la Torre de Hércules con su actual directora, Ana Santorun. Y después de echar un vistazo a las blancas galerías que cubren las fachadas que dan al puerto –lo que justifica el sobrenombre de La Ciudad de Cristal– accedemos a la Plaza de María Pita, corazón de la ciudad vieja. Callejeamos por ella en compañía de dos guías locales: Chus Vidal y Marga Parada. Tras conocer el costado modernista del ensanche urbano y los Jardines de Méndez Núñez, terminamos nuestro recorrido en el mercado de la Plaza de Lugo, donde podemos comprar producto fresco de proximidad. Los pescados y mariscos vienen directos de la Lonja de A Coruña, una de las más importantes del continente; la visitamos con su presidente, Juan Carlos Corrás.Escuchar audio
