Ian and Jay were so glad to be able to have a quick chat with Crash from our sister station 98ROCK after his harrowing experience dealing with a flesh-eating bacteria. Crash admits he still has a little ways to go in terms of his recovery, and the doctors are saying everything so far is looking good. He is still suffering from some nerve pain, which he suggests no one should have to feel. Crash says he developed a fever after having gone to a quick clinic, and neighbors, one a nurse, were alert enough to notice something worse than just a skin cut, and he credits them for saving his hand, as well as his life.
On Thursday's Beckles & Recher, we have a show loaded with guests and features! We start with Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Brett Phillips, then we hear from 98ROCK host Crash as he recovers from his fight with some sort of flesh-eating bacteria! We'll ask Phil Esposito what he thinks about former NHL referee Tim Peel's "early retirement" and then we talk our favorite BBQ on this month's Flavor of Tampa Bay! We then tell you our Three New Follows on social media, and then we speak with USF Football Coach Jeff Scott as his Bulls prep for their Spring Football game on Saturday. Then since we're a week away from baseball's Opening Day, Rays Radio host Neil Solondz joins us with a Rays update! Plus Halftime Heat and Pick to Click! All That and MORE!
Ian and Jay send their best wishes to Crash, from the Crash and AJ morning show on our sister station 98Rock. Crash was involved in an altercation with a person attempting to break into his car on Friday and suffered a laceration on his hand while trying to restrain the alleged thief. Unfortunately, it was later discovered that there was poisonous bacteria in the cut, which spread throughout Crash's arm, and he is currently hospitalized as doctors are treating the wounds that grew from the one laceration. Crash almost lost his arm, but doctors, and Crash, believe that he will regain full use of his arm following healing and rehab. Ian, Jay, and the staff at WDAE want to send our wishes for a quick recovery to our guy Crash. Get well soon!

Then Mickey talks about the time he almost got into a fist fight with Chad Kroeger and challenges Paco to write a better rock ballad than Nickelback. After some voicemail surprises, Mickey opens up the phone lines and we hear from some random callers. Finally, Mickey tells us about chatting with Larry the Cable Guy, and Paco interviews his Gary Busey impersonation. It’s a Full House minus the John Stamos, when Balls, Paco and Mike welcome our Salisbury pals: Mila Simon, Connor Dykes, and the teetle toatling John Dayton! John talks about his upcoming trip to Albuquerque to spread the good word. Then Balls gushes about Breaking Bad, and Connor gives his critique of the Sopranos. Things get topical when Paco rages about the recent New York ban of flavored e-cigs, and expresses his paranoia about the sinister HOA. Balls calls on the power of Wendi to cheer him up, all the way from the remote reaches of the 98Rock studio. The gang chats Ravens and tries their luck at winning Joker tickets. And finally the team takes a look at some listener voicemails, and here’s from some familiar and not-so familiar characters.
